“Absolute perfection! Truly there is no way I can say enough wonderful things about the Wheel of Bliss retreat. From sacred, gorgeous temperate rainforests, streams, and mountains with incredibly fun and well kept trails to the remarkably comfortable and well appointed home with stunning views from every window and decks galore to experience the beautiful parts of the day and the gorgeous stars at night to the yurt for yoga, meditation, dance, or prayer, I could not recommend a stay here more. I stayed three weeks and can't wait to return.”
Very quiet and Spacious Studio tucked in the woods. Very Shady retreat near Meadowfork Creek. Really close to Match Patch and AT which just a 20 minute drive. There you can tap into AT at Max Patch. A Must see destination.
“If you are looking for a quiet, rustic getaway, this is your place. The porch is the best feature by far.....great place to sit and read into the night, listening to the creek and enjoying the cool night air. I really appreciated the dog gate on the porch, as well as the small fenced in area at the foot of the outside stairs - it was nice to know my dog was safe and sound in new surroundings. The drive in is stunning. Give yourself extra time to enjoy the drive - lots of twists and turns in the road and lots of beautiful vistas along the way. Tips - bring a cooler with ice, and enough water and provisions for your stay so you can enjoy being there without a trip to the store. Also, it is a good idea to fill your gas tank before coming in so you can feel free to venture out and explore the local National Forest and mountain roads, where there are not many gas stations. Lots of hiking options nearby! Max Patch is a must-see. Dwight is a friendly, helpful host and is close by if needed. I personally found everything I needed in the unit without needing to ask. I had the pleasure of chatting briefly with Dwight twice - upon arrival and then as I was leaving. I was traveling solo (with my dog) and found this to be a safe, welcoming option. If I had the opportunity, I would certainly stay here again.”
This cozy little cabin, located 9 miles from Hot Springs and 30 miles from Asheville, sits right next to a trout stocked creek, great for fishing or cooling off. The perfect spot to unwind. Only 3 miles from the Appalachian Trail and close to Max Patch Mountain, you will enjoy an endless variety of Smoky Mountain vistas, hiking, fishing, rafting and plenty of other outdoor activities.
“We had an amazing time staying at the cabin! The screened-in porch was perfect for our dogs to hang out and we didn’t have to worry about them running off. The clearing in the woods where the hammock was located was a perfect spot for the kids and dogs to swim. My husband and the kids walked right down the front lawn to the creek to fish. We roasted marshmallows over the fire every night. The wraparound porch had an amazing view of the mountains. The sound of the creek’s rushing water 24/7 was so incredibly peaceful. It was a perfect spot for a perfect weekend. It was a very spacious cabin as we had room for two adults, two kids, and two dogs! We hope to visit again!”
