Kentaro was very accommodating to the fact that we arrived in Tokyo at 5AM, and enabled us to leave our luggage in the building prior to the official arrival time, he was always very responsive to the few emails that I sent regarding questions, and he was more then willing to offer suggestions for local eateries (and has listings on his webpage to this end)
The apartment was very clean and comfortable and I found it to be inexpensive.
Taito Ku is a nice, quieter neighborhood of Tokyo, a relative port of calm in the storm that Tokyo can be---after a night visit to Shibuya or Shinjuku, coming back to the quiet of Taito ku was quite nice.
the apartment is about a ten minute walk from 3 different subway stops (Iriya stn on the Hibiya line, inaricho stn on the Ginza line, and Ueno stn on multiple lines) which then makes most of Tokyo's sights only 1/2 hour or so away.
Given that Ueno park with its major museums as well as a major temple is a ten minute walk away, and Senso-ji temple is a 1/2 hr walk away in Asakusa (combined with the ease of various lines of the subway as above) this a I think this a great place to stay!
on returning to Tokyo in the future I will be looking to stay here again!
(PS--the restaurant Soba house, just up the street from the building, is excellent!)
