“Sandhya has an amazing homestay property right next to one of the backwaters’ most beautiful rivers. Our room was large, clean and cool with a beautiful terrace area from which you can watch life pass by on the river, less than 10 metres away. Sandhya and her family are incredibly welcoming and helpful hosts (not to mention brilliant cooks). We ended up having all our meals at the property as we enjoyed the food so much. They gave us plenty of tips on walks out from the property as well as organising a couple of boat trips out into some of the smaller more secluded canals. The house is a 5 minute walk from a ferry into Alleppy and there is a paddle-ferry immediately outside the house if you want to visit the island across the river. Couldn’t recommend this property enough to anybody interested in visiting the backwaters, extremely good value and genuinely lovely hosts, on top of the beautiful landscape.”

“A warm and quiet place to spend your time with great hospitality amid nature around ...”
The over-an-acre property abuts the quiet backwaters of river Pampa, a place endowed with incredible natural beauty. Hardwood furniture, hurricane lamps, palm leaf ceilings, Malabar tiled roofs and other subtle details would take you back in time to a bygone era when life was much more peaceful. The _al fresco_ dining area on the edge of the river adds to the exhilarating tropical charm.
“David's place is more of an experience than a stay. the private pool, fresh toddy from the your own private toddy tree, the kayaking in the backwaters, lazing around on the gazebo deck right at the waters edge....everything was an experience to be enjoyed. the rooms are lovingly restored/decorated, clean (and what a bathroom). relaxing and rejuvenating here is a treat and we regret not staying longer. David and his wife are amazing hosts, and thanks to prasad for the homely and fresh fried fish dinner he served and the way he took care of us. would definitely go back.”
