The Handel Haus is located in northern Lancaster County, known as the Antiques District. Surrounded by antiques and beautiful farmland, our house rental is just the place to relax, unwind, and enjoy your surroundings.
“This is a very quiet and comfortable home in a quaint community. The two of us mostly came for a getaway and change of scene from our lives as dairy farm managers in southern Maryland. We enjoyed exploring the antique stores nearby, and venturing out to see some of the other charming small towns, like Lititz. It was also great to be able to walk across the courtyard for a meal at the German restaurant, or across the road to the brewery. This home would still be comfortable if we brought our two teenagers with us next time. Highly recommended!”
Welcome to our guesthouse! This space once was a summer kitchen just off of our main house built in the mid 1800s. Come and enjoy some tiny house living in our just under 300 square foot freshly renovated get away!
“What a gem! This space was so thoughtfully constructed that it seems so much larger than it is. Sheila and her husband are so incredibly accommodating, offering local recommendations as well as any information you could need. The location was perfect - away from any city life but so close to so many farmer's markets and wonderful local attractions. The place was immaculate and SO cozy - we cannot wait to return and highly recommend staying here!”
A stone farmhouse, positioned deep into our dairy farm. When you stay here, you are welcome to experience the farm chores, spend time with the animals, or just simply relax by our fireplace or in our hot tub. We have around 300 dairy cows and ten chickens. In the fall, we have a corn maze and pumpkin patch. We are a quick 5 minute drive to Clover Hill Winery and a 10 minute drive to Blue Marsh Lake, where you can kayak (kayaks provided by us) or hike on the trails along the lake.
“My husband and I stayed at Duncan's this weekend with our dog. We really enjoyed our stay. Loretta and DJ were very kind and helpful with suggestions for things to do in the area. They even invited us along for a hayride with a bunch of their friends and family! So much fun. We also liked seeing the cows and learning about their dairy operation. Loretta made delicious breakfast for us on the days we were up and about in the house during the morning. If you enjoy cozy, historic homes, this will be perfect for you. The room we were in was very spacious and comfortable. They provided a space heater in case we were cold on the chilly November nights. Shared bath was no problem at all (I'm not sure anyone else even used it when we were there). Good value, great people. We hope to be back again when the corn maze is still in season!”
