“I was here for 7 days. Mohammed and Fatima are very kind and helpfull. The room was big, I had a private shower and toilet. Although they could not speak English and I could not speak French, we communicate with google translate. That worked out very well. The breakfast was very good, I loved the good quality of the coffee and the fresh made orange juice. It is very close to the waterfall which is impressive. What I liked the most was the trekkings on my own through the mountains. You really experience the life as it is with the locals who live high up in the mountains, the sherperds with the goats who you meet when you walk through the forest. It is a beautiful area, the moyen atlas. People are friendly although they try to earn some money of you because they are poor. The only thing which is important when you go late in the season is the weather: be prepared that it can be very cold in de early morning and night. During day time it was mostly a good temperature to walk, between 20 and 24 degrees. There is no central heating in the house, what is normal for Marocco. But there where enough blankets to keep you warm in the night. What I did not like, a minor detail, was the light in the room, very ccold light. and you need a Maroccon telephone card for internet. Mohammed has his own internet connection and wants to share it for sone time per day, but it is easier if you have your own internet connection. I had Inwi, it costed like 8 euros for 10 days. Last detail: there where no other western tourists as it was late in the season, around the third week of October. There are coming and going Maroccon tourists to the waterfall. Just a few stay over for the night. So you are really living with the locals. They are very kind.”
