Enjoy your stay in a home that showcases part of what makes Alpena so special! This home was built in 1924 out of Bes-Stone split block from Besser Manufacturing Company, produced at the world headquarters, located here in Alpena. It is just as beautiful today as it was when it was built 100 years ago. This home has surprisingly large rooms, as well as all the modern comforts, including central air! Currently in the process of having this home added to the National Register of Historic Places.

A spacious deck offers a round table surrounded by six chairs, ideal for outdoor dining. A gas grill sits nearby, and sliding glass doors lead into the house. The tranquil pond and wooded surroundings create a peaceful ambiance.

Cozy comfort in the woods. Secluded getaway, house is set back 1/2 mile in the woods on 70 forested private acres. Artesian well-fed pond & fire pit. Adjacent to over 4,000 acres of state land with trails, sinkholes, fossils, and pristine Lake Huron Lakeshore. Quiet, peaceful setting. Clean, comfortable and updated house with all amenities. Stunning night skies. Wake up and walk out onto the deck to enjoy the amazing songs of the Wood Thrush, Veery Thrush and Hermit Thrushes. Wildlife abound.

A large trail system nearby, for snowmobiles, quads and other off road vehicles. Great place to just sit back and relax. Very Private, nearest neighbor is me, 20 acres away. No hunting or shooting allowed.

My place is conveniently located within walking distance of downtown Alpena. There are a variety of restaurants and bars all within 1/4 mile. Lake Huron is my front yard, with tennis and basketball courts available for public use. The Alpena bandshell is a hop and skip from my house; every Saturday there’s a concert in the summer. There are two public beaches within a mile. And you can see masts from sailboats out my front window as the boat harbor is my neighbor.
