Welcome to the Chief and Churchill! A thoughtfully renovated two-story barn at the foot of Cape Blomidon. Offering an inspired mix of 1940’s nostalgia and new, we can sleep four and offers your own British style pub, ax throwing lounge, movie theater... all nestled in the privacy of one the most beautiful places in the world! Access to beautiful running and hiking trails, beaches Blomidon Provincial Park. A private escape located less than 1.5 hours from Halifax, and 25 mins from Wolfville.
“Where to start? I have to say I was worried when I first came into the barn until I noticed the Tardis. Honestly. Going through the Tardis door, you are transported to something akin to post war Britain (if you ignore the Margaret Thatcher photo hanging in the corner). The bar/kitchen is complete with a working beer tap. A real bonus for us was the turntable and large collection of vinyl. Very sweet. Plus, if you’re done exploring the countryside, you can go upstairs (presumably once upon a time, the hayloft) and play all sorts of games. I found out, I can throw a mean axe. It’s out of the way but less than 90 minutes from Halifax. A perfect getaway for this NS staycation year.”
Large updated century home on the world-famous Bay of Fundy with ocean access and stunning ocean views that include the best sunrises and sunsets in the province. Located just 1.5 hours drive to PEI, Moncton, NB or Truro, it features 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with a large kitchen. Wifi and cell service is available, and an old-fashioned general/liquor store is practically next door. Museums, live theatre, Joggins Fossil Cliffs, provincial parks, hiking, beach walks and more in the area.
“This was such a lovely place to stay with our kids (ages 3-10). There were lots of little pluses that were great for families like access to tupperware, extra blankets, towels, condiments in the fridge, laundry soap etc. The property is beautiful. Rooms are large and welcoming and each one has a great view. The yard was great for running around and enjoying evening camp fires. The view of the stars and milky way away from city lights was amazing! The walk down to the beach was very do-able and we enjoyed checkingnout the oceanfront daily. Swimming could be feasible in the channel at high tide but the water is very cold and we enjoyed walking and exploring in the tide pools at low tide just as much. We visited Cape d'Or and Parrsboro one day, Truro (Victoria Park) and Tatamagouche for a swim the next, then Joggins Cliffs the third. All were under 90 minute drives and we were glad to be able to explore NS and still have time to relax in the late afternoon and evening. Janet was a great host who responded quickly to messages and was eager to help. There are books and many pamphlets of area attractions laid out for visitors which was also nice. The Sea-renity cottage was a perfect get away for our 2 families (4 adults + 4 kids) and I would definitely recommend it to others looking for a relaxed and flexible vacation property.”
Enjoy the beautiful Bay of Fundy. Isolate yourselves in a clean and private paradise. This tiny home sits on the edge of a cliff overlooking the beautiful Bay of Fundy. It faces north and offers amazing views of Cape Split. In the evening enjoy breath taking sunsets while listening to the surf hitting the beach. Built with milled logs from the property, this cabin offers a BBQ and propane burner to cook with. All the pots, pans, and dishes needed for a rustic meal. The site offers a fire pit
“I won’t soon forget my time spent in this perfect little cottage. I was in awe of the beauty and tranquility of the space for the duration of my stay. The property is incredible - you truly feel off the grid with space to start a fire, watch the ocean and make yourself at home. While you’re very isolated, I never felt unsafe. There have been so many thoughtful touches incorporated into the cottage - motion sensor lights outside, parking space, ample firewood/kindling, binoculars, hiking guide, stove. I didn’t want for anything during my stay. This location is spectacular and my only wish is that I could have stayed longer, and that I’ll one day be fortunate enough to return.”
