“Nestled in the hills of Manila (a place very little known to a lot of people), this property is right in the middle of untouched jungles. The nearest place when you could find habitation was 3 kms away. So all in all, a great location for someone who is looking to have a relaxed time. The property is really huge, with two spacious bedroom (which are very tastefully done), a huge drawing area where you can sit as a group and a fully equipped kitchen. Outside they have a special place for bonfire and they have provided everything for you to host a small evening party there. The property really seems like some gave a very good thought of what all is needed in a holiday home. They have great safety measures as well, which includes fire extinguishers and even carbon monoxide alarms. The icing on the cake was the food prepared by Nandan. He was very welcoming, was ready to cook whatever we asked for with a smile. The local style mutton, aloo puri to even the humble rice and daal, were really good. I would advise anyone going to take the option of cooked meals, you would not regret it. We would love to go there again, may be in a rainy season. It should be amazing.”
Pauri is a hidden treasure with one of the most beautiful sunset in Uttarakhand. The sunset at pauri occasionally manifests riot of colours with the dominating tang of fiery orange. On the clear day imposing Himalayan peaks are distinctly visible. Our farmhouse is in the amidst of the jungle with a plain stretch of 7km available for cycling. Hiking and site seeing are the main activities. There is an ancient 8th century temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
This is a small cottage in the Himalayan ranges (Jorasi Range)and has a beautiful view of the Nanda Devi range. It is set between a ridge and dense forest of Oak, Rhodedendron and whispering Pines. An ideal place to relax and rejuvenate in natures embrace. Its a Bird Watchers delight in the day time and the nights are so quiet that you can hear the calls of the Barking Deer from the forest next to the house.Look up for the Milky Way, the star constellations visible when the sky is not overcast.
“Blue Cottage has a beautiful location - you can see the Himalyan range from all its windows! The cottage is tastefully done. The sit out in the front is perfect for the morning tea and breakfast. Suri the caretaker is very helpful and can cook indian cuisine for you too . The bonfire in the night is lovely. An amazing place if you are looking to detox and have a peaceful stay with family or friends.”
