“Wow. What a place! Where to begin? First of all, nothing could prepare us for how close Ammar's apartment is to the beach. The pictures don't really do it justice. It's literally right on the beach and there's certainly nothing closer to the beach in all of Aqaba. It's so close we had our morning coffees out there. It's so close we didn't worry about grabbing all the right sand toys for the kids because we could easily grab whatever we needed from the apartment in 30 seconds. It's so close we could scout out the best cabana spots from the living room. It's also just steps to the pools of the Movenpick. Just amazing. And despite being so close to the beach, you can park your car right at your front door--making it super convenient to run to grab groceries, make excursions, etc. No parking garages or valets to contend with. We also really enjoyed the extra large and open living space which made family gatherings super easy. There's a quant patio for looking out over the beautiful landscaping at the move pick and -- of course -- the bright blue waters of the Gulf of Aqaba. The whole apartment is well appointed with a tasteful beach theme. I must mention Ammar's hospitality. He and his caretaker Hussein take Airbnb hosting very seriously. They make check-in and check-out super easy and were very responsive to anything we needed. Both had excellent, professional English which is always a plus. We've already booked our return stay. Bottom line: look no further for a great stay in Aqaba!”
The room is prepared especially for tourists who need a comfortable and clean room with a stylish bathroom, especially after a tiring day. It's equipped with AC, hot water, kettle, mini-fridge, Microwave, TV, and hairdryer. It's in a very good place, just a few minute's walks (1-5 min) to major city landmarks, very close to the public beach, local restaurants, fish markets, ATM, with services for 24 Hours. It has a big shared terrace with a nice view of the Sea and Aqaba Castle at the same time.
“Aqaba I’ve been using Airbnb since 10/2018, I’ve traveled in Eastern Europe and N. Africa. I try to stay around a $25/night budget in an “entire apartment”. A few times friends have come to visit so I rented 2 and 3 bedrooms too. I stayed in this apartment for 7 nights. Pros: Location: On the south side of the old town, it’s a 15 minute walk to the Jett bus terminal. Super close to sea of Aqaba, I didn’t go to the beach but it looks like a 5 minute walk, and very easy to find. Green groceries, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, convenience and other stores are all around 2-3 blocks away. A couple of good restaurants are just outside the door. Quiet and safe neighborhood, including after nightfall. The Aqaba castle is so close, it’s the landmark to give to taxi drivers as the apartment doesn’t seem to have a physical address! Apartment: Apartment is up two flights of stairs, there are two apts that share this floor with a patio and an outdoor “kitchen” (sink, two electric cooktop) and clothes washer in common. Small studio with a bed, mini fridge, small microwave, tv and a bathroom No closet but there is a clothes rod and hangers Outdoor kitchen cooktop sink and counter. Some utensils, mix of dishes and glasses and clothes washer, large pans, several pots. Mostly clean apartment, just the corners are a little neglected, tile throughout. They do supply small amount of all consumables (dishes and washer soap) Air conditioner/heater works well on heat mode, I visited in mid Jan. WiFi works well I came late on check in day, the host had someone meet me. Small washer works well Cons: It’s a bit of a flop house, very suitable for backpackers and those on a budget, but it is fairly clean and safe They seem to have almost daily turnover in the other apartment which has 4 single beds. They clean the apartment daily so there are always sheets and towels drying on the racks-which is a good sign, but you gotta wait your turn to use the machine. A mosque minaret has it’s loudspeakers directly across from the apartments (you can see it in the photos), that 5:00 AM call to prayer is not something you will sleep through. As the (very friendly and personable) host says, it’s a small town with mosques every where, so you’ll anywhere you stay you’ll hear that 5:00 AM call, but, I’ll add that this is louder than most. There doesn’t seen to be a real street address, for maps or taxi purposes it’s easy to use the Aqaba Castle as a reference, it’s very close. It’s also close to the Ajib bank. Conclusion: I recommend this apartment, its a good value and a great location.”
The Movenpick is a great place to stay at, the neighborhood is quite and friendly and the apartment has a beautiful view. It is located in the Movenpick Downtown in Aqaba, Jordan. You will have access to several pools and the Movenpick private Beach.
“Very nice and well equipped apartments in Aqaba! Cozy, very clean, full equipment, with a terrace overlooking the Red Sea, where we watched the sunset in the evenings. Very good location, next to the private Movenpick beach, beach loungers and towels for free - everything was great for a good and quality rest. Our planned two nights here were too short for us, but the host was very kind and allowed early check-in and late check-out, which made us very happy. We highly recommend these apartments for a quality rest at the Red Sea for a good price.”
