Our house is located at 23 km from Curtea de Arges, on the main road toTransfagarasan (DN7C) in the village called Capataneni. Our manor is the Memorial House of George Stephanescu, my great-grandfather who was the founder of the Romanian Opera, it was build on 1873 in a Swiss style in collaboration with an Italian builder. We have 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, one extra toilet, full eqquiped kitchen with store room and 10,000sqm of garden with, perfect for 4 family's with children.
“A place with a ton of history, feels like going back in time. Idyllic and cozy, with an amazing fireplace in the living room where you can enjoy a bit of silence and a glass of wine, sitting in old, comfy armchairs. The yard is big, full with pear and apple-trees and offers plenty space for children to run around. "The best driving road in the world" - Transfagarasan (as it's been called by Top Gear head-presenter, Jeremy Clarkson) starts right in front of the property entrance. So if you want to take a drive or ride into the mountain's heart trough the winding road, it's super easy. Something you might find a bit difficult to digest is the lack of central heating (each room has a fireplace) and only one bathroom for the entire house. Don't expect a luxurious property, its is not. It is a place with history and character, is like a time machine taking you back in good old Romanian time. The hosts, Ilinca and Alexandru are super responsive and eager to make your stay unforgettable. Thank you Ilinca&Alexandru. It's been lovely.”
The guest house name is Belvedere la Cristina. A rising sun of the story applies to our guesthouse. You are able to enjoy spectacular sunsets and moonlit nights.
“We were traveling with my family, stayed for two days, really enjoyed staying, it’s a pity that we spent all day with Christina) The hostess is very friendly, thanks to Christina and her mother for these two days) Everything is there for comfort, and especially for relaxing with young children) We were provided with a crib, as well as told about local attractions ”

“It was a wonderful 2 days. The landlady received us very warmly, we spoke well through the translator and even joked :). On the territory of the house there is a small farm, the children really enjoyed playing there. When we needed help with the youngest child, she sent her husband to the doctor and then to the pharmacy. I felt at home. The food is delicious, and a lot :) I always asked if I needed something else. It was a wonderful 2 days. The landlady received us very warmly, we spoke well through the translator and even joked :).
