You can also enjoy a relaxing stay in Kagawa, such as visiting a bonsai nursery, Kokubun-ji Temple, the 80th stop on the Shikoku Pilgrimage, and walking the Shikoku Pilgrimage Route. 　You can also enjoy dining and BBQ at the English garden in the flower season. 　It is the perfect base for a stay where you can fully enjoy a day trip sightseeing in Setouchi, where you can reach Kotohira, a major tourist destination in Kagawa, within 40 minutes by rental car, Chichugahama, within an hour, and Tokushima Soya, Okayama, Kurashiki, etc., within an hour and a half. Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. ここは、ぼくが子どもの頃、長い時間を過ごした「おばあちゃんち」でした。 奈良町には、ずっと変わらない心地よい鄙(ひな)びがあります。 「これからの世代に、少しでもこの心地よい鄙(ひな)びにふれて欲しい。」 そんな想いで、空き家になっていた西村邸を、手入れしました。 - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.
