“My husband, daughter and I spent two peaceful nights on Julie's yacht. We basically had the place to ourselves, and the few folks we came across were very friendly. My daughter and I had the women's restroom and shower rooms all to ourselves, and they were immaculate. We did forget to bring actual bath soap, so pack that and you are golden. We appreciated Keurig coffee and hot cocoa in the mornings, and there is a microwave, fridge, and a grill too! Julie gave us directions to two nearby beaches where you can relax and sun. It was a great experience 🙂 ”
Studio cottage w/ beautiful beach access to Lake Huron. Great fishing, boating, & hiking nearby. The Caseville Cheeseburger Festival in August is a highlight of the region. The area offers kayaking of the shoreline of the Michigan Thumb, including Turnip Rock in Port Austin. The cottage is on a wooded lot (2 miles from downtown) and sleeps four. In 2019, The Blue House added an enclosed entry porch w/ lots of sunlight to enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a book on rainy afternoons.
“We enjoyed our stay at this cabin! Great location to the beach and nearby hiking. The dark sky park in Port Austin didn’t work out for us to star gaze because of clouds, but check it out if you stay. The heater is a bit noisy at night, so bring a fan or noise machine if staying in the winter. Enjoy!”
