Welcome to the heart of Halifax! All the great features of our city - the waterfront, the Citadel, the Gardens, Spring Garden Road, Scotiabank Centre, downtown restaurants and pubs, the burgeoning arts and dining scenes on Gottingen and Agricola, are all in easy walking distance. This suite offers walkout entrance, a spacious living room, fireplace, a bedroom with a brand new bed, and bathroom. Hardwood and ceramic flooring throughout. Mini-fridge and coffee machine too!
In one of Halifax's trendiest neighbourhoods, this suite has two big windows and a door that open up into an attractive backyard garden. You're welcome to have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine sitting on the chairs on the stone patio outside.
Our house predates Confederation and so would many of our neighbours'. With classic Halifax box houses painted colourfully, the streets are full of charm. Just a half block down the street is Dee Dees, a bustling eatery where you can get their much loved home made ice-cream, or get this, equally loved burritos! Two minutes away are some of the city's trendiest restaurants, Field Guide and EDNA on Gottingen, and Lion and Bright and The Brasserie on Agricola. During the winter months we're just a few minutes from the wonderful Oval.

Super convenient and private little suite! Private entrance, free parking spot in driveway, full bath, appliances (including fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and kettle), free laundry facilities. 20-30 min walk from downtown, on several major speedy bus routes. Easy!
Welcome to our suite. We have hosted through AirBnB since 2012! The suite is a walk-in basement "in-law" suite. Lots of light and super convenient. We live upstairs and have two young children. This suite is easy, comfortable and has all the basic amenities you need. It's ideal for people who want to get up and fill their day with all the beauty and adventure Halifax has to offer. Our suite has a driveway parking spot for guests to use, private entrance, private full bath, appliances (including fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker. and kettle. There is no stove) and laundry facilities are included. The set-up is simple but offers complete privacy and all the conveniences you might need! Free WIFI. Furnishings: Double bed, antique dresser, breakfast table and chairs. The set-up has proven ideal for longer-term guests visiting Halifax for medical electives, brief contracts, conferences, etc. If there is something missing from the suite that you require, we will do our best to accommodate. Located in our walk-in basement, the suite is suitable for guests with mobility restrictions (no stairs required). Our house was built just after the Halifax Explosion of 1917, and is located near the Historic Hydrostone Market with it's fabulous restos and boutiques, such as Julien's Bakery for a morning croissant and Salvatores for gourmet pizza. We are steps from the Halifax Shipyard, on major bus routes (#7, 9), and it is a lovely 25 minute walk along the water to reach downtown. Beautiful big trees line our street and we have a view of the Halifax Harbour. This is an extremely convenient option that offers privacy and comfort. We are a small family and we love living in Halifax, we look forward to hosting you! Check in anytime after 6pm and check out before noon.
Beautiful, safe, waterfront residential urban neighbourhood

Hotel-style suite in 120 year old home, set up close to downtown and hip North End. 2 min walk to grocery, liquor store, restaurants. En suite bathroom with shower, queen bed, mini fridge, microwave, toaster, coffee maker & 48 inch TV with Netflix. Extras: heated mattress pad, fast WIFI, Bluetooth speaker & android tablet in the suite for use. QEII Hospital: 15 min walk Downtown: 30 min walk Flat is not wheelchair accessible - 5 stairs up to the unit.
This is the living room of our flat that I've blocked off from the rest of the apartment (walled off and locking doors) and converted into a private guest suite. There is a queen size bed. It's locked off from the rest of my flat. There is no shared access to a kitchen or living space in our apartment. You have your own entrance to the room, a private en suite bathroom (sink, toilet, and shower), as well as a mini fridge, microwave, kettle, and coffee maker. The door to the rest of our flat closes and locks. So it's very private. It's set up like a hotel. It is a small space, for at most 2 people. But it’s cozy and has everything you need. The shower is a stand up shower and isn't really large. I love this location because it's easy access to downtown and major attractions but still in a quiet neighbourhood on a gated street. On major bus routes and it's a 5 minute cab (or 35 min walk) to downtown. Some people think that is close to downtown and some people find it far. All depends on your perspective. By Halifax standards it's extremely central and a very easy walk downtown. QEII Hospital: 15 min walk Spring Garden Rd (downtown): 23 min walk Waterfront: 32 min walk
The Quinpool District of Halifax is our personal favourite because it's close to all of the fun but far enough to get a quiet sleep. The flat is a 2 minute walk to necessities such as groceries, wine/beer store, pharmacy, gas station and all main public transit stops. Yukon Street is located two streets parallel to Quinpool Road, home to some of Halifax's most diverse and affordable restaurants, pubs and diners (Greek, Mediterranean, Korean, Chinese, Sushi, etc.) Everything you could possibly want is a five minute walk from the flat. Some people think we are close to downtown and some people find it far. All depends on your perspective. All we can say is that by Halifax standards it's extremely central and a very easy walk downtown. The Halifax Commons, including basketball, tennis courts, baseball fields and skate park) are a few blocks away from the space - about a 12 minute walk. There is also a public swimming pool and kids park including a fun water feature for the young ones. If you want to explore the Downtown core or the artsy and hip North End, they are only a 30 minute walk or 5 minute drive away.

I don't even know where to start. This is the 1st time I've used airbnb and if this experience is a harbinger of what is to come then I can't wait to do it again. Monique (aka Munju) and her place are about the greatest thing to ever happen to Pottery Ln Halifax. Welcoming would be an understatement. She was readily available to answer all my questions and gave me thoughtful recommendations throughout my stay. I never felt like I was imposing on her whenever I had a question, no matter how small. Living at her home it became clear she has a gift for creating beautiful spaces with character and attention to detail. She was not exaggerating when she called this place a Bohemian paradise. Simply put I fell in love with it. From the spectacular views overlooking the bay (which made for magnificent sunset dinners) to the all the unique nic-nacs and pieces of art tastefully distributed throughout (I imagine these were collected during her worldly travels). Everything just seemed to be in its rightful place. I never felt like I needed anything more than what the space could provide. My friend who came over for dinner twice also commented on the natural beauty of the setting and space (you can read her write up in the guest book). We ate, danced, laughed and had fantastic conversations over nectarous wine and lemon tarts. It might not be obvious from the pictures but Monique also has a stellar vinyl collection of oldies (David Bowie, Velvet Underground, Jimi Hendrix, Simon & Garfunkel... just to name a few) that was so inspiring I went out and bought a few records at Obsolete records in the North End of Halifax (great place btw). I left one behind to keep my promise re: leaving the place better than I found it. All in all it was one of the most memorable and magical places I have stayed during my many travels. I feel like I am ruining my chances of booking this place again down the road (I live in Vancouver now) but while it lasts I highly recommend you see it for yourself. Thank you Munju and billy-grey (my affectionate name for our feline friend that visited on occasion) for making my stay unforgettable.

This is a lovely upstairs flat in 100-year old building. The apartment has everything you could need for a comfortable stay: lots of bedding and towels, a very well-equipped kitchen, and tons of space. The hosts are professional and responsive.
