  • Fred and Angela were an amazing host,I could not have dreamt of having someone so welcoming and considerate. He went above and beyond to make us comfortable. As we were new immigrants,he even took us to walmart and also picked us up and gave us a lot of info about halifax.I had to extend my stay as the lease starts a little late and we booked his place again. It is conveniently located opposite the bus stop and has a very homely feel with all necessities. I would definitelty rate them more than 5 stars and recommend to everyone.

    Fathima2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great little spot in a very good area. The house is very friendly and responsive and went out of his way to make sure my daughter and I were comfortable. Really good value and highly recommended.

    Eddie2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Close to downtown and only a couple minutes from Halifax Shopp9ng Centre. Was just what we needed & Fred was super friendly. My only suggestion if you need to do hair or makeup is to have a travel mirror with you as there is only one that is in the bathroom and no counter to put make up, straightener, etc... on. Plus if someone needs the bathroom then you have to stop & wait. But really, not a problem just a minor inconvenience. Other than that, lovely spot!!!

Incredible character! This studio is in a 1896 Victorian historic house with hardwood floors, 9-foot ceilings and shellacked wooden accents through out the place. It is gorgeous! The studio has its own private bathroom (stand up shower) and kitchenette. It is perfectly located, literally on Dalhousie University campus, just a few blocks away from the heart of downtown and the hospitals. There are other 3 independent units in the house. See the detailed description (below) for their AirBnB links.
Due the COVID-19 concerns, we are taking extra measures and cleaning all hard surfaces with disinfectants known to kill coronavirus. We take the safety of our guests very seriously Live in a historic house from 1896 with original hardwood floors, 9-feet ceilings, antique stained glass windows, and shellacked wooden stairs, doors and accents. A true Victorian atmosphere! The studio has its own private bathroom with a stand up shower, a kitchenette to help you prepare all your basic meals to start the day. A very comfortable real bed with a ortho mattress. Table with chairs for a meal or computer work, a suitcase stand for a better setting and a small closet for any hanging needed. The house has 4 independent units. All units share a common foyer entrance, but each unit has its own bathroom(s) and kitchen. Although none of the units have a living room, there is a shared living area in the foyer area on the second floor. See links below to see each unit: https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/13727309 https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/13742986 https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/13743657 https://www.airbnb.ca/rooms/13721952 PARKING: There is ample parking space at the back of the house.
Our house is located in the so called "South End" neighbourhood. It is just beautiful! It is a residential area mainly made of "Victorian style" old houses. The neighbourhood is also home to Dalhousie University, and our house is literally on Campus. The neighbourhood is safe, clean and full of trees. It is inhabited mainly by middle and upper-middle class families (several schools around). During the day, you'll see lots of university students walking from one class to another. This neighbourhood is sought-after because of its strategically central location, walking distance to downtown and all Halifax's attractions.
  • I loved every minute spent at this lovely heritage home. Cinthia was so accommodating, friendly, and helpful! I was traveling for work, and I was barely settled in my room before I booked the same spot for three more upcoming work trips in the next few months. It is so nice to have a room of your own, with a private kitchenette area and bathroom, close to the university and downtown. Free parking on premises is an added bonus, and you couldn’t find for a better host!

  • An excellent location for exploring the city

    Tom2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cinthia's is the most convenient location for us stay while we visit family at the rehab center and VG. Her place is right across from the IWK. Currently, we return monthly and find it the best place in all ways.

    Jennifer2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay. A quick walk through the university to get to the core downtown area.

    Matthew2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • It's a nice, short walk to downtown, the movie theatre, great restaurants and a beautiful park. The room is cozy with everything that you need and strong wi-fi. Can't complain about the bright sunshine blazing through the big windows in the morning. Just a lovely stay.

Super convenient and private little suite! Private entrance, free parking spot in driveway, full bath, appliances (including fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker and kettle), free laundry facilities. 20-30 min walk from downtown, on several major speedy bus routes. Easy!
Welcome to our suite. We have hosted through AirBnB since 2012! The suite is a walk-in basement "in-law" suite. Lots of light and super convenient. We live upstairs and have two young children. This suite is easy, comfortable and has all the basic amenities you need. It's ideal for people who want to get up and fill their day with all the beauty and adventure Halifax has to offer. Our suite has a driveway parking spot for guests to use, private entrance, private full bath, appliances (including fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker. and kettle. There is no stove) and laundry facilities are included. The set-up is simple but offers complete privacy and all the conveniences you might need! Free WIFI. Furnishings: Double bed, antique dresser, breakfast table and chairs. The set-up has proven ideal for longer-term guests visiting Halifax for medical electives, brief contracts, conferences, etc. If there is something missing from the suite that you require, we will do our best to accommodate. Located in our walk-in basement, the suite is suitable for guests with mobility restrictions (no stairs required). Our house was built just after the Halifax Explosion of 1917, and is located near the Historic Hydrostone Market with it's fabulous restos and boutiques, such as Julien's Bakery for a morning croissant and Salvatores for gourmet pizza. We are steps from the Halifax Shipyard, on major bus routes (#7, 9), and it is a lovely 25 minute walk along the water to reach downtown. Beautiful big trees line our street and we have a view of the Halifax Harbour. This is an extremely convenient option that offers privacy and comfort. We are a small family and we love living in Halifax, we look forward to hosting you! Check in anytime after 6pm and check out before noon.

Welcome to the heart of Halifax! All the great features of our city - the waterfront, the Citadel, the Gardens, Spring Garden Road, Scotiabank Centre, downtown restaurants and pubs, the burgeoning arts and dining scenes on Gottingen and Agricola, are all in easy walking distance. This suite offers walkout entrance, a spacious living room, fireplace, a bedroom with a brand new bed, and bathroom. Hardwood and ceramic flooring throughout. Mini-fridge and coffee machine too!
In one of Halifax's trendiest neighbourhoods, this suite has two big windows and a door that open up into an attractive backyard garden. You're welcome to have a cup of coffee or a glass of wine sitting on the chairs on the stone patio outside.
Our house predates Confederation and so would many of our neighbours'. With classic Halifax box houses painted colourfully, the streets are full of charm. Just a half block down the street is Dee Dees, a bustling eatery where you can get their much loved home made ice-cream, or get this, equally loved burritos! Two minutes away are some of the city's trendiest restaurants, Field Guide and EDNA on Gottingen, and Lion and Bright and The Brasserie on Agricola. During the winter months we're just a few minutes from the wonderful Oval.
  • Mark and Adrienne were great hosts. Our daughter stayed for two weeks isolating during COVID. Mark and Adrienne were very warm and welcoming. The space is clean and bright and wonderfully located.

  • Excellent accommodation in a convenient location. Would definitely return.

    Paul2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, very well located and will easily book again as the adage of if it ain't broke ,why fix it!

    Paul2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Mark's place is a perfect spot to stay for a few days. Just note that there isn't a kitchen, so plan to eat out (which there are many places nearby to do so).

    Scott2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was easy to communicate with, the place was clean, centrally located, and comfortable. I would stay here again.

    Nigel2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mark was a straight-up, responsive and gracious host. His place is perfectly centrally located. It is a short walk to downtown, though far away enough to be in a true Halifax neighborhood with lots of interesting sights and amenities. Fully recommended!

Peter's apartment is a great place to spend as much time as you need in Halifax. The place is nice and clean and has everything you'll need for a short visit or an extended stay. It takes only about 20 minutes to walk to the heart of downtown or a quick couple minute drive. The place is very well kept. All in all a great stay and I'd highly recommend this apartment.

Great helpful hosts. Simple walk through the park to get downtown. All amenities to make you feel at home. Highly recommended for casual traveler. Гостеприимные хозяева. Прогулка через парк приведёт вас в центр Галифакса. Все необходимое в квартире, чтобы вы чувствовали себя, как дома. Очень советуем для неприхотливых путешественников.

We had a great experience! The house was just as described. Drive to downtown is about 9 minutes so access to a car is helpful. I would recommend Jade's home to anyone looking for a large, clean and comfy place to stay in Halifax.
