“There was so much to love about this place! We were kindly welcomed by ate Rosanna when we arrived and she even waited for us even though we arrived very late around past 10pm. (guests should communicate ETA to the host so late check in can be arranged) The location details were precise and very helpful! My aunt drove us to the house so we did not have to commute to the place but there is a shuttle service which can pick up guests from the house and be dropped off to the subdivision gate. The house was stunning and stylish with high ceilings. The loft was very clean and they even provided us with towels and toiletries. The balcony is a great bonus as the view was awesome during daytime as you can see Mt Makiling from there. Loved the aircon! We met ate Roset and the family the following day and they were all so nice. Only surprise was that we did not expect that the upper floor has bunk bed instead of a sofa bed which was shown on the listing photo. But that did not really bother us so much. My friends still slept like babies. Ate Rosanna was superb as she also offered us help in dropping us off to our next destination because I asked if we can check out at a later time but they couldn’t do it at that time as they already have other arrangements, which was understandable (it was only around 5mins drive but because we had 2 big luggages and there were no taxis in the area). We had a great stay and grateful for the awesome service, we were well looked after! Thank you and happy new year!”
The The Sparkling Hills Vacation House is in a quiet subdivision in a town known for natural hot springs. The place is ideal for couples, families and small groups wanting to enjoy a quiet vacation. The property has a natural hot spring pool to enjoy with claimed medicinal properties to relax tired muscles. There is a small garden where vegetables are grown which you can pick and cook. It is also in the path of migratory birds and you could just find a rare one just perched on a tree branch.
“Location is great, it is in a quiet neighborhood at the moment with barely a handful of houses / resorts. One can still enjoy a peaceful night's sleep here. Rooms are great. Pool is perfect for all ages. Parking is on the street though, relatively still safe since there are no other houses nearby. You'd have to bring your own kitchen equipment for cooking and eating or pay extra to borrow theirs, this is disclosed in the listing though. It would have been perfect if all that was needed was included already. They have KTV which is as always a fun activity. The toilet at the 2nd floor was leaking though, so my brother closed the valve for it and only opened it whenever it was needed so as not to waste water and flood the bathroom, reported it to kuya Gerry and Ate Lyn. Odd thing, pillows did not have pillow cases. Overall, I would recommend and come back to this place.”

“About the place: The house is clean, spacious and comfortable for our family of 4, and stocked with basic needs. We also appreciated the available Netflix (our kids' favorite in the house) and the strong Wi-fi, which was very helpful as we did some work in the evenings. The place is walking distance to the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB), laundry services and eateries. When we did not want to walk (especially when it was raining), it was not difficult for us to rent a tricycle because there is a station just a few feet from the house. About the hosts: Beth and her husband are thoughtful hosts. We stayed during the time when it was hot in the morning to early afternoon and rainy the rest of the day. They provided bottles of cold water and big umbrellas. They were also considerate of our other needs and requests. It was nice when they would simply say hi and ask how we were doing and if there was anything that we needed. A bonus is that we were able to rent a vehicle from them when we have trips to/from Manila, and all the trips were on time, reasonably fast and most of all, safe. In sum, we were happy with our stay in Beth's place and grateful to the hosts. We recommend it to people who are looking for a place in Los Baños, especially near UPLB.”
