Very cozy cottage for our stay, surrounded by grasslands and snowy mountains

We had a very pleasant stay in this little house. It is super comfy and the view outside is unforgettable!

We had a magical couple of days at the hidden cottage. We came up to the north hoping to do some skiing with the kids. We had a beautiful drive up from Reykjavík and drove into a valley creeping into spring. We woke the next morning to a thick blanket of snow! It meant it was tricky to leave the cottage with our vehicle but the kids enjoyed a day in the snow and a bit of a hike up the valley. The cottage was clean, comfy and warm with beautiful views and we had everything we needed. The hot tub was fun. When we had to leave early the next day and were worried about the roads, Lea was extremely helpful. After a bit of snow shovelling we got on our way. The 4x4 we hired managed the main road into town no problem. We enjoyed looking around Siglufjordur on the way in and went via Akuyreyri on the way home where the kids had a fun swim and we managed to get on the slopes in the afternoon. We rented ski equipment on site. Wish we had had a couple more days to explore the towns a bit more!

We had a great stay! To be that close to the nature/sea is just awesome. We even had a seal showing it‘s head a few times just in front of us.

We stayed for a long weekend—the perfect place to escape the city! The house is beautiful and clean, leaving nothing to be desired. You immediately feel at home. The hot tub makes the stay perfect. Thank you, Anna. We'll be back!

Heidi and Rob are excellent hosts. We enjoyed our stay so much. The home is beautiful and well equipped. They provided directions with photos to get to Nes that were very helpful. We will be staying at one of their homes again when coming back to Iceland!!!!! Thank you!!!

Amazing view from the windows. Clean and cozy. Everything went smoothly.

We enjoyed our stay: the cabin had one of the best equipped kitchens we came across during our trip. The cabin felt very private, and the directions to get there were clear and Google Maps navigation found it without issue. The views were spectacular, and we were very lucky with clear skies and bright auroras both nights. We would definetly stay here again.
