Vacation rentals in Blue Mountains

If your coming to Milton Freewater or the surrounding areas this is the most homey and charming house to rent and you wont be disappointed. Mariel has really gone above and beyond as a host to make sure we were all taken care of while being rehomed for the Holidays. This place felt like home and it was also so unique in its own ways. The decor is so beautiful, the beds feel heavenly, a nice deep bathtub for a relaxing bath, a bar to entertain, and the wood stove was also such a perfect touch for a cold night. Mariel really has all of the bases covered in this place for a comfortable stay, the only recommendation would be a stove however they do have a large convection oven and other cooking options that we were able to make it work out. There also is an abundance of wild life that comes around from large bunny rabbits that graze in the yard, wild turkeys strolling by, a rooster in the distance and lots of birds, squirrels, and geese that were a joy to sit and watch from the patio.

What a wonderful relaxing experience. The yurt met our expectations and then some. Having a BBQ, Fireplace and a private hotel tub nice!! Place was very clean, bedding was nice and clear instructions for fireplace, tub, a/c and BBQ. Easy walk to very clean bathroom. Had one issue with a zipper on a window which they took care of quickly. Only meep was the private tub was super cozy for 3 adults so we used the public one. Staff on sight were professional and very friendly. (Hope I'm remembering correctly?) Nancy and Tiffany are welcoming & nice. Yvonne front desk/ housekeeping is hard working and outgoing. We appreciate the staff in general because it show that they care.

Cabin worked out great for 6 of us for about a week.

Tracy was gracious and friendly. We enjoyed beautiful morning views, walking the property and visiting with the animals on her ranch. Tracy's ranch is easy to find and an easy drive outside of LaGrande... a great place to stay if you have multiple people in your party!

I was in this area for a memorial service and my plans were tentative at best for the entire weekend. Stacy so kindly worked with me as the family’s plans changed, and my plans changed, and it could not have been a better arrangement. The gorgeous historic home felt so cozy as soon as you walked in. I stayed in the king sized bedroom with the in-room bathroom. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and there was plenty of room to unwind and relax. This was a much needed respite in such a stunningly beautiful area!

This is THE place to stay if your looking to get to know La Grande or if your looking to attend a function at EOU. EVERYTHING is close. The campus is walkable. Downtown is walkable. The house has a well laid out and stocked kitchen. A great dining space and a spot on the back deck to drink your morning coffee. The views from the windows are of the mountains and the cozy neighborhood around the house. The hosts were helpful and quick to respond to any questions and you could tell they made this place with thoughtfulness for their guests. My kids and I loved it. Plenty of room for the kiddos to run in the backyard and play spots in the house, and also wonderful couches for me to sit and read and, again, drink coffee. (I like my caffeine) Highly recommended place for whatever reason you are visiting La Grande.

Lovely, spotlessly clean cottage with excellent amenities in a beautiful location. The instructions to get in were clear and concise and communication was timely and helpful. In addition, the printed copy of the house rules was great to have for reference. We appreciated the welcoming treats and the fresh eggs were a wonderful touch. The shower is huge and the bed in the main bedroom was extremely comfortable. Sadly, we didn't get to meet Caroline, but Hans was such a gentleman and treated us well! Highly recommend this wonderful spot if you're in the La Grande area!

Andrea, our stay was as comfortable and pleasant as the first time. Everything was great and felt like getting back to "our home away from home." We're looking forward to staying again! I think spring time would be a beautiful time to stay! Thanks again for your hospitality. Mary and Roger
