Probably my favourite Airbnb of all time. I went with my husband and 2 children and we felt right at home. The weather wasn’t always great and my son was unwell and it was honestly the best place to spend time. Very relaxing, very well decorated, very well equipped kitchen - just perfect all round.

Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

We had an amazing stay in the cabin. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful, but still an easy drive to the supermarket (always good when travelling with hungry children). Close drive from the airport and easy to access the major roads for exploring by car. We would love to go back.

Une prise électrique est également disponible pour ceux qui ont un véhicule électrique. Enfin la vue est magnifique depuis le salon, une vue immense sur la baie.

this place is truly a hidden gem. Definitely off the neaten path and not much around that's close food wise, but 1000% worth the extra miles to stay somewhere secluded like this with the magnificent views out the massive windows in the living room and kitchen. it is on the homeowners property, but once inside you feel like you are all by yourself out there. 2 bed, 2 bath and was there by myself but felt very spacious. the interior feels new and is updated with great shower and comfortable beds and couches. would highly recommend to anyone looking for great views and seclusion.

Our stay at this cozy cabin was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The cabin was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4x4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland. Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.

We hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad. Het huis was prachtig gelegen. Het was onze uitvalbasis om de westfjorden te ontdekken. We hebben ook het geluk gehad om 3 nachten te kunnen genieten van het Noorderlicht en een hele week prachtig weer! Een echte aanrader! De hot tub is de kers op de taart!

We very much enjoyed our stay at the cabin. He met us when we checked in to make sure we knew how to use all the amenities. Very close to the golden circle. There is a narrow stairway that made carrying luggage upstairs a little difficult. Overall, though I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Un logement parfait pour une nuit après un long voyage ! Il a le côté pratique d’être proche de l’aéroport mais de rester extrêmement calme. Tout est impeccable, et le linge sent merveilleusement bon. Sans compter que l’on est tout près du fameux Blue Lagoon ! Wunderschönes Ferienhaus mit traumhafter Aussicht! Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, modern eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Alles, was man braucht, ist da: eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, ein schöner Wohnbereich, geräumige Badezimmer und bequeme Betten. Besonders toll ist der Hot Pot und die Sauna mit tollem Blick auf die Berge und den Fjord. Wir haben uns völlig wohlgefühlt und würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

We had a fantastic time at Straumnes cabins. The cabins are very peaceful, and in a beautiful setting on the lake. We were spending a couple of days doing the golden circle and South coast and the cabin was perfectly located for this. The communication was great, the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed, and lovely and warm. Many thanks to our host for a great stay. We would highly recommend the cabin for family's exploring the golden circle that want a peaceful stay in the countryside.

We had an amazing time at Geir’s family home! This was an incredible place to spend the new year and we would absolutely return! The location is perfect. We were able to walk outside the city lights a short distance to get an amazing view of the northern lights. A designated lookout is also a short car ride away. Plus, downtown Reykjavík is a short car or bus ride away! It could also be a good walk for those who like to hike.

Ein tolles Ferienhaus! Es ist gemütlich, geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr praktisch ausgestattet. Auch die ruhige Lage mit Blick auf das Meer und die Berge hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Kommunikation verlief unkompliziert und alle Informationen kamen rechtzeitig bei uns an. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in diesem Haus und können es absolut weiterempfehlen.

A modern spacious house located in a quiet neighborhood with a lovely cat. Lina might be one of the friendliest cats we've ever encountered. We loved staying here with her! Hroar was always available and easy to communicate with. If you're looking for a beautiful house and aren't afraid of a sweet cat, this is your place to go!
