Vacation rentals in Charles Mill Lake

I planned a surprise fishing trip for my husband and chose Creekside Cabins after talking to the very helpful host, Debbie. The directions were clear, and the old barn landmark made it easy to find. We immediately thought, “We should bring the whole family next time!” The Shanty and the big cabin are close together, but noise wasn’t much of an issue. Inside our cabin, we hardly noticed neighbors. The first night it rained, so we grilled and relaxed in the cozy rocking chairs. The bed was very soft — I prefer firmer, but it was comfortable. Mornings with coffee on the patio overlooking the river were peaceful. My husband spent the weekend fishing while I read by the fire pit. The shared shower house was large and clean with good hot water and pressure. We’re already planning to return! Bonus: my husband broke his line trying to reel in a 3-footer and caught several carp — it’s definitely a good fishing spot!

This place was just what we needed. We rented this place following a death in the family locally and we needed somewhere for family to gather and be together. This house and the property was everything we could ask for. Quiet. Peaceful. Spacious enough to allow for individual space when needed. The property is beautiful. The house has character and comfort. The hosts have stocked EVERYTHING a person could need. And it has an amazing vibe and history. It felt to all of us that there has been much love and laughter in this historic home which is just what we needed. Thank you for hosting us.

Perfect location for downtown Medina. The host allowed us early checkin, which was really helpful. The home was comfortable and large but all the bedrooms are upstairs, if you can’t do steep stairs it could be an issue. The outdoor gathering area/porch was really lovely. Ample/easy parking was a plus as we had a trailer in tow.

Highly recommend this home! Nice quite area that had tons of parking for my guys and very clean. Mary is a great communicator and host. Looking forward to booking again in the future when we are back in the area for work. Thanks Mary

Story book home with perfect location. This was by far the best Air BnB we've stayed at. From the immaculate cleanliness to the comfortable beds and even the condition of the walls and floors. We bought some walnuts in the shall for the squirrels in the expansive back yard. Hopefully we don't get in trouble for feeding the squirrels ;)

We were so fortunate and grateful to stumble upon this beautiful and well maintained gem of a home in Mt. Vernon. This was the perfect halfway point for our family of 6 as we headed back to NY. We immediately felt right at home and were blown away by the generous hospitality that we were provided with from the coffee station, to the treats and beverages, and thoughtful note and information provided. The only regret we had was not being able to spend more time here to enjoy the comforts of this special home and to explore all that the charming town had to offer.

Great stay love the place … I would definitely stay again

Absolutely beautiful. We were provided everything we needed which was helpful since most stores were operating on Christmas hours. Our host Leon was prompt in response. The entire place was cleaned and the Bibles in every room made it seem so much like home. My family and I appreciate the hospitality and enjoyed our stay very much. I would definitely recommend for large groups and we will more than likely book again being as tho we always travel for Christmas
