Vacation rentals in Chinook

This cabin exceeded the description. The kitchen was equipped with every thing you'd need to cook. The family room was cozy and perfect with wood stove. The spa bathroom is an amazing find in a cabin. The upstairs rooms and extra space let us have a reading nook. The backyard was large, with a huge fire pit. There were s'mores ingredients as a welcome gift. The beach is closer than the map looks. Just steps away. I'll be staying here again.

Lovely home and amazing host! There was tons to do just at the airbnb alone. Tons of board games, books, activities, and tons more. The beach access was amazing as well. Toby provided clear and detailed information, and provided a great list of things to do around town. Overall our stay was amazing and I would absolutely recommend planning a trip here:)

We had a group of 6 and we had a great time staying in this beautiful and historic home. It had plenty of beds/space for everyone and a great big kitchen that was great for late night chats and sharing meals and drinks. The home is so cozy and wonderfully decorated. We enjoyed our daily walks to the beach as well as to the main shops. We also had lots of fun with the games and puzzles that are provided. It was an overall amazing trip and stay. I would highly recommend.

Joanne’s beach house is truly an Airbnb, not just a vacation rental. This is one of those houses where you immediately feel at home and comfortable in and everything you could possibly need is there. The view is lovely and location is convenient but what makes this place truly special is the host. Joanne was extremely kind and friendly. We felt genuinely cared for during our stay. Our family of four along with our dog Charlie made so many great memories here. We love Manzanita area and this was a great base. Easy walk to beach and to town from the beach. We all slept soundly and made good use of the pool table, DVD collection and the fireplace. I loved having my morning coffee on the deck and taking in the birdsong. We cooked many meals and had all we needed in the kitchen. Joanne spoiled us with local coffee and chocolate as well. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed at the crab shack multiple times and can’t wait to return. The house is perfect for our family of three. The kitchen is well stocked and pristine. The furniture was recently updated. The beds are comfy. I swear that king bed is bigger than my own! The house is so close to everything, the prom and downtown, and all the restaurants. We can park the car and just walk to everything. Christina and Kevin are super responsive and always so kind. This is our go to home on the Oregon coast!

Much more enjoyable than staying in a hotel. It was quiet and homey, and close to the beach, and the price was very fair. An added plus was that we were celebrating our 50th anniversary and were welcomed with flowers, sparkling cider, a tray of protein bars and chocolates, and a very sweet 'anniversary card'.

Love, love, love the Mermaid Escape! The house is so adorable and feels like a home away from home. The location is amazing! It's just a 5 min walk to the beach and on the way you pass a general store (which has about everything including firewood for the beach), a Mexican restaurant, and a brunch place. If you need anything else, it's just a 5 min drive away. The jacuzzi and fire pit on the deck are divine, and the two large soaking tubs put this place over the top! The owner, Lynnet, was super responsive and sweet. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking to feel like they are at a home-away-from home while also on a vacation. This property is perfectly located right on the beach, just a short walk from the main street where you’ll find all the best spots to eat and hang out. Despite its proximity to the lively area, the property feels private and quiet, offering a peaceful escape just minutes from the vibrant atmosphere. We experienced a brief issue during check-in because the lock code provided wasn’t updated, but the host was very responsive and resolved the issue within 10 minutes of our arrival. They even followed up with a call to ensure everything was fine, which we appreciated. The house and amenities match the description and pictures on the listing. One standout feature is the projector system and surround sound in the living space, which added to the cozy ambiance. However, the technology feels a bit outdated and was sluggish when connecting. Some apps like Netflix crashed. It might need an update for a seamless smart experience. Overall, I would highly recommend this property for a cozy escape
