Vacation rentals with a firepit in Christian County

The location was peaceful. Did not know the owners lived on the property. They did give us privacy. Love the fire pit and the front porch with a smaller fire pit. Maybe add a small grill?? Just a thought. Inside was cozy. Not used to the stairs…lol!! It did give me a workout. Great place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. Very pleasant.

Although it was freezing during my stay, I still enjoyed my time here. The tent was exactly as pictured and the porta potty in site was spotless. I will definitely return when it is a little warmer.

Very clean and just as described. This was our 2nd time staying here. Wish the weather was better so we could have taken advantage of the hot tub!

We truly loved our stay at this cabin. The setting is incredibly secluded — all you can hear are the sounds of nature, which made for a wonderfully peaceful experience. The property is very well-equipped, but one thing to keep in mind is that you’ll want to pick up groceries ahead of time. The drive can feel long, especially if you’re not familiar with country roads. It’s worth noting that the canoe shop wasn't renting canoes during our stay, understandably due to a personal situation with the family. It was not a major issue, but the current situation is something future guests might want to prepare for. The only small disappointment was the lack of body wash, which would have been a nice touch given how well-stocked everything else was. Overall, it was an amazing, peaceful getaway, and we can’t wait to return! Cheers! P.S — Purchase from the closet shop. This was such a surprise to our stay!! Thank you for adding this!

Our stay here was exactly what we were looking for- peaceful, quiet, comfortable, clean & calm. Easy to locate, close to a lot of delicious food places and attractions. Great communication that was clear & positive!! The location provided quiet from everyday hustle & bustle with beautiful views off the deck. The calm of the James River was just a short walk (steps really) from the house and was just as quiet & peaceful as everything else. We will certainly keep this property on our list for when we return to the area!

My partner and I stayed here for a relaxing anniversary trip. It was beautiful inside and out. The kitchen was stocked well enough to make several full meals. Ample blankets, pillows, and seating in every room. Visits from both Sully and a neighborhood cat were a welcome addition. Beds were very comfortable. Indoor/outdoor waterfalls were a peaceful, fun addition. We were within 15 minutes from ample grocery shopping and restaurants. The only shower is located downstairs, so keep that in mind if you are planning to avoid the stairs. The bathtub on the main floor was beautiful. If we ever return to the area, this is my #1 spot! We found the place just as it was described on the listing. The house was very clean. Joey was very accommodating and very responsive. Joey made the experience very nice. Do to delayed flights we got in very late, and Joey was kind enough to leave some lights on so we could get in easily and not have to look for light switches in the dark. It was a great place for my wife, daughter and myself. The jacuzzi was a great addition to the stay.

The Barn was amazing, and was a beautiful and serene place to stay! the bed was SUPER comfy! Thank you again! We hope to be back!
