We offer cooking lessons in Krousonas village. The programme last at least 4 - 5 hours. Firstly we will make a welcoming introduction with a glass of raki to the traditional way of Cretan life with our handmade folk exhibition which also include kids activities. We will see items and gagdets from a past era and we are here to answer all your questions about the way of life 100 years ago. In continue when you choose menu (vegan or not) we write down our ingredients and we go to gather our organic vegetables from our orchard, you wiil have time to explore nature, breath fresh air, learn important information about the plant and of course live the experience cutting the fresh vegetables and fruit. When we collect our vegetables , we learn how we use every ingredient in our kitchen, how does it help our health, about the appropriate quantities we use anf we start to how prepare our meal and how we cook. You will learn all the secrets of cretan cuisine with us . (It depends from the season you can also taste and watch the production of cheese.) When the meal is ready you can enjoy it in our veranda relaxing with the amazing view. At the beginning of the seminar there will be a quick guided tour of the workshop and information on the stages that the clay passes to get from an amorphous mass to a useful object. Then I will show you the various techniques that you can use to create your own unique items by hand or on the wheel. Τhe creations you will realise in the atelier will take 3-4 days to dry, depending on your realisation and the weather. Then you can either pick them up or glaze them in the colour you wish. In that case, you have to wait another 2 days for the second baking. Notice that the second baking is not included in the price. The handicraft that you will create, once cooked, can be obtained from the workshop. If you prefer, it can be send to the address you wish at your own expense. Note that shipping overseas can be fairly expensive. To participate in the seminar you don’t need to have any previous experience. Come in with casual clothes and let your imagination lead you. Be assured that you will spend a creative and unforgettable moment. If the timetable or duration of the seminar is not at your convenience, just contact me to adjust it.
