The Downtime Thomas Studio is a private retreat tucked away within the Historic Hoffman Building right in downtown Thomas WV, and restored using salvaged materials and both old & new processes. The Studio is also conveniently in the middle of town in walking distance to art galleries, Tip Top coffee, craft shops, and is also just 2 doors down from the Purple Fiddle Music Venue.
“Wow. This space is truly amazing. Where to begin? For starters, the town is quaint and offers access to nearby hiking, water activities, dining, amazing coffee and scenic drives abound. The studio itself is thoughtfully designed, comfy, and quiet. Perfect for singles or a couple. You can cook easy meals in the kitchen or order takeout nearby. The tub is nostalgic :-). Great vibes all around. The hosting space takes you back in time - yet offers modern touches to make you feel at home. The outdoor patio is lovely. Will absolutely be back - thanks to Trevor and Justin for sharing their gorgeous space. Couldn’t have asked for more.”
Beautiful cabin with large deck and all the creature comforts for a relaxing mountain getaway. Watch your children in the play ground from the deck or see the amazing display in the night sky as you gaze upon the stars understanding why they call it the Milky Way. The property is surrounded on all sides by Wildlife refuge and you can view all three ski resorts from the deck...
“Michael's place is in a great location, right across from a playground and the lodge...an easy commute to both Black Water Falls State Park and Canaan Valley State Park. Many hiking trails in the area and some food options. Not all of the food places have opened up again during the pandemic, but there's a Shop-N-Save grocery store on the right hand side of the road just just as you get into the town of Davis. Michael is an excellent communicator and did everything to ensure our stay in Davis was phenomenal.”
Modern 900 sq foot home. Two BR, two bath, washer/dryer, gas grill and fireplace, full kitchen. There's a nice deck out back, shared with a separate 400 square foot suite than can increase accommodations to 8-10 people (see our separate listing Explorers Escape Plus for this option). Easy walk to Stumptown, Hellbender , Sirianni's, Wicked Wilderness. Short bike ride, hike or drive to Blackwater Falls. Nearby Thomas WV (top mountain town 2017) Canaan, Timberline, White Grass Skiing.
“Very clean 2 bedroom elevated house that supplied a nice panoramic view of Davis and the surrounding area. Great location to hike in the Blackwater Falls State Park where we spend pleasurable time on several trails. Also close to the National Wildlife Refuge that has several trails where you can get deeper into the wilderness. House is fully equipped for all your cooking and eating needs. Great base camp to do a variety of activities in the area. Highly recommended!”
