What a great, character-filled stay in Melrose. We were going to camp but it was looking a bit hot for early November so we found this place. The kids couldn't believe their luck! comfy beds, very clean, the aircon in the upstairs loft sleeping area came in handy in the late afternoons. Right near a cute park where we cooked a bbq for dinner. Very basic kitchenette as advertised. Wonderful creaky old barn. We will definitely be back. thanks Alan.

We loved our stay at Angela’s cottage in the picturesque surroundings of Melrose. The charming home had all the amenities and comforts we required and was tidy and clean. We loved the unexpected addition of the outdoor sauna. Fantastic location!

We had a wonderful stay. We spent our time hiking, bike riding, and relaxing around Mt Remarkable. The views were stunning, and there's nothing like a clear night away from city lights for stargazing, or a crisp quiet morning watching the sunrise with birdsong. We got exactly what we were looking for; quality family time , "camping" but with real beds and a bathroom! The chickens were a lovely bonus, they got some leftovers and scraps, and we got a couple of fresh eggs. We saw kangaroo, geckos, kookaburras , and many other native lizards and birds. Checking in and out was super easy. The property is rustic , but well maintained and clearly loved by the owners.

Kaitlyn’s place would have to be the most convenient spot in town! Right next door to the bike shop/cafe and an easy walk to all that Melrose has to offer. The house is cosy and clean and has everything you need. We especially loved sitting on the back deck with a drink and a good book!

Yacca Valley was a lovely, quiet, secluded off grid getaway. We really enjoyed the serenity and scenery of being out bush. We appreciated all of the chopped wood for indoor and outdoor fires, and lovely clean linen etc. This Cute little cottage has everything you need if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle. Make sure you bring your own food etc as no shops nearby. Flies can also be a problem this time of year so fly nets for your walks recommended (this is common for everywhere in Flinders right now). Thank you for sharing this private little spot, it was just what we needed for a weekend getaway.

We spent 3nights in this beautiful home , it was amazing for 3 families with ages from 63 to 18 mths . The house has so many extras , playground, games room and fire pit were all used . The garden is perfect to relax in so many nooks if you can book this place you wont regret it .

Loved our stay at Tyler's place. Lovely welcoming house in peaceful farmland. Hosts were friendly and responsive. Had complimentary delicious dozen fresh farm eggs in the fridge. I wouldn't hold them to providing freebies to every visitor, but it shows they care! - Best cutlery and kitchen equipment situation we had in an Airbnb, which is usually my biggest gripe. Really appreciate it. - The place was sparkling clean. - Beds are really comfy! My only regret is not booking a couple more nights there :)

Our family had an amazing holiday at Shear Serenity. The cottage had everything we needed and more, the welcome basket was epic. Our kids had a wonderful time exploring the backyard and beyond and have many beautiful feathers they’ve found and brought home from the birdlife we were surrounded by. The scavenger hunt Jacqui and her family have set up is such a fun activity and not just for the kids. We were lucky enough to have two very cute cows visit us often, our kids have affectionately named them ‘Caramilk & Shadow’ and had fun spotting them and seeing what they were up to. All in all a 10/10 private and secluded family holiday spot.
