Vacation rentals with a firepit in East Baton Rouge Parish

I rented David's for a friend of mine's family to stay while visiting from New York. There were ZERO issues, and David was amazing to work with. I would highly recommend his house to anyone that is looking for a safe, convenient and peaceful place to stay.

Location is a bit further from the main city, but quiet neighborhood, exactly what was needed for stay. My pup thoroughly enjoyed the extra large backyard. I loved the Bluetooth speaker in the bathroom. Definitely recommend.

We had an absolutely perfect stay at this historic gem! The home, built in 1910, exudes charm and character, which made our visit feel extra special. While it maintains its historic vibe, the kitchen is beautifully modern, spotless, and fully updated—a seamless blend of old and new. The bed was incredibly comfortable, too. The host was beyond accommodating, truly going above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His friendly demeanor made it easy to settle in and feel at home. The location couldn’t be better—close to LSU’s campus, historic downtown Baton Rouge, and the river. It was the ideal base for visiting family and attending an LSU game. We can’t recommend this place enough and will be staying again in the near future! Thanks, Jim!

Very nice spot, clean, nice balcony with peaceful view. Common areas were very nice. Brayden was very friendly and accommodating, checked with us throughout our stay very appropriately. Everything we needed was available - kitchen necessities, bathroom and shower necessities, etc. bed and couch were very comfortable. Very peaceful rest. Would recommend and use him as a host again!

What a delightfully inviting country retreat--definitely an artsy cabin and peaceful sanctuary in the woods! I'm sure I'll be back to enjoy again the natural beauties and delights of the area, the history and culture and cuisine there too, and this home away from home too.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The view was beautiful and the cabin was perfectly decorated and clean. Our hosts were so helpful and attentive. It was a birthday trip for my husband and when we arrived they had a “happy birthday”banner above the door. It really made his day. We enjoyed the river view and all the sounds of nature. We had so much fun fishing and rock hounding. This truly is an amazing cabin and we are counting down the days until we can visit again.

It is just as describe it is a 1940s motor court cottages. Small but had everything I needed. Getting into the lock box was a little difficult. Clean linens and towels. Small shower, but was fine. Just needed a weekend away and it worked out fine for me. I would recommend it to anyone will definitely come back.

Steve was amazing, and very welcoming and friendly. The place is really gorgeous, especially the dock. You're right on the water, and you wake up to the beautiful sunrise out of the windows. You can fall asleep to the sounds of wildlife, and wake up rested and refreshed. Highly highly recomend.

This is the second year I've stayed with my dog at Kathryn's place on the order of 6 to 7 weeks. Similar to last year, I really enjoyed my stay at the rental and it served my needs very well again this year. The neighborhood is quiet, and it is nice to walk my dog on leash along the road for about a quarter mile without many houses and without much traffic. Kathryn is always communicative and checked in with me a couple of times to see if there was anything I needed. Again, I had an excellent experience staying at the rental!

My family and I enjoyed our stay. We plan on coming back over the summer.

What a beautiful, tranquil place - a sanctuary as the name says! Our kids (9 and 3) loved walking and playing in the creek. We loved the screen porch and had all our meals and lounging time there. Panoramic beautiful scenery from the living room, the screened porch, and upstairs. Cabin was cozy and clean. Beds and furniture were very comfy. They also had some toys and a fun puzzle for the kids. Also have to note the great book selection - for the kiddos in the loft upstairs, and for nature loving adults on the shelves downstairs. We got a little mixed up finding the place at first (google maps address was off), but still were able to find it easily once going down the road based on the mailbox #s. We had a lovely spring weekend here, and look forward to returning!
