Colombia’s Pacific coastal region has its own distinctive cuisine and culinary heritage. Part of that heritage is viche, a spirit distilled from sugarcane. Discover this produce through a viche tasting and some snacks. • Hear the story of viche, its origins, and its cultural importance in coastal Colombian communities. • Taste viche prepared in several ways alongside dishes such as tuna crudo marinated in curuba (passiflora) and whitefish with cauliflower purée in a smoked coconut milk broth. • In addition to viche infused with botanicals, we’ll demonstrate how to make the well-known Viche Cítrico cocktail. You’ll leave with an enhanced sense of the flavors of viche and a regional cuisine unknown outside of Colombia. Note: Since this experience centers on alcoholic spirits, you must be aged 18 and up.

As you weave, I’ll share recommendations for further exploring the art of weaving and appreciating Colombian culture.

There is a lot to see at the Comuna 13, so 4 hours are perfect to explore amazing spots ;) After taking the metro, you will enjoy riding the metro cable to visit a spectacular viewpoint. Then you will take a bus to the graffiti neighborhood, from where the walking tour will begin. You will get a free coffee tasting with an amazing explanation. You will be amazed by all kinds of art expressions, such as graffiti, oil paintings, handicrafts, graffiti printed clothes, and dance shows. You will see spectacular graffiti, which are painted by local artists. The guide will explain the meaning of the main graffiti and answer any questions you may have. You will also enjoy street performances such as break dance, rap, or trova (traditional musical genre). You will arrive at the place where the facts will happen, you will know the beautiful path of our fog forests, waterfalls and rivers. The idea of this experience is to connect with the pacha mama (nature), enter where pumas, tigrillos, opossums, orchids and birds live, especially the cacique candela and many other species that inhabit this natural reserve, just 30 minutes from the city of Medellín. The time and starting point is at 9:00 AM in mountain hostel located at street 10# 43c-13 we will go by private vehicle to the sandy beaches which is the starting point of the ecological hike, we will be back, at approximately 1:30 and 2:30PM.
