Two loft bedrooms available in this original fur log cabin built in 1972, right in the heart of the Kootenays, with a direct mountain view. The cabin is in a heavily treed, small subdivision, amongst plenty of wildlife including deer and wild turkeys (often hanging out right on the property).
“Fabulous log cabin just north of Radium. Hosts Sean and Benjamin (doggy) are easygoing, low-key, knowledgeable, and friendly. We were given excellent fire-building tips and enjoyed a fire in the fireplace each night. Sean provided wood the first night, but better that you bring your own (available at every gas station in Radium/Invermere) so you don't deplete his supply. Lots of hot water in the shower. Sean made room for our supplies in the fridge and was cool with our teens and child lazing about being screenagers. People with mobility limitations should be aware that sleeping is in a loft but the bathroom is on the main floor.”
Located in beautiful Invermere, BC just a short five minute drive from downtown Invermere, or a 30 minute walk. This homey, rustic cabin comes complete with a propane fireplace and is surrounded by breathtaking views of the Rocky Mountains, Columbia valley wetlands, Toby creek, and Lake Windermere. Our cabin comfortably sleeps two in a queen size bed but also has a double pull out couch suitable for two more.
“The space: Quiet, private, great view, great space for cooking, clean, close to town, comfy bed, additional hideabed. Suggestions for travelers: bring slippers for the tile floors, a music player or laptop for movies, and look for the place in daylight if you can. There is no ceiling on the bathroom, but the space is packed with nice-to-haves like dishes, pans, spices, bottle opener, microwave, fridge (no freezer), hot plate, huge sink, great water pressure, even a couple games. Pam is a communicative and helpful host and we were so happy.”

“Allison’s cabin is perfect for couples looking to escape the busyness of life. It’s far enough yet still close enough to ski, hike, hot springs, and enjoy the town of Invermere. The evenings are wonderful if you appreciate the quietness and darkness of the wilderness. The cabin itself was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything you need. We would definitely recommend it to others and we hope to visit again in the summer months as there is a lot of cross country biking trails near by.”
