“If you are looking to throw off the shackles and pressures of modern-day life, look no further. When we first found Sunset Hideaway on AirBnB we couldn't believe our luck. Seriously.....private access to the bay where we could snorkel and watch a family of clown fish?? Beautiful, open pavilion-style accommodation as per the idyllic images of an island vacation. Privacy, tranquility, serenity and beautiful sunsets....this place has it all. Waking up every morning to ocean views from the comfort of our bed was the most blissful way to begin each day. After a lazy start we simply made our way to the living area pavilion to put together our breakfast. The outdoor kitchen had everything we needed to prep/cook our meals with the groceries we picked up en-route from the airport and from the local markets (made SO easy with a pre-arranged driver! Thanks Keely!). Then we enjoyed a swim in the pool, or a snorkel, before spending the day reading books or jumping on the quad bike for some island adventures. Evenings were spent cooking dinner and enjoying a few Tuskers or red wines as Vanuatu turned on her dazzling sunsets. If we weren't dozing off early after enjoying too much fresh air, we happily watched one of the movies from the in-house dvd library on the projector. The caretakers at Sunset Hideaway are very friendly and helpful. We really appreciated their advice, local knowledge and willingness to assist in any way they could. Hideaway is suitable for a solo escape from the hustle and bustle, a romantic retreat for couples or a brilliant option for small families looking for some room to move, make some noise and to enjoy each other's company. Basically, it's suitable for anyone except, perhaps, for those who balk at a mosquito and prefer a more sealed environment, free of character. From our first communications with Keely, we knew we were onto something very special. Keely has obviously put a great deal of love and attention into providing not just fabulous accommodation at Hideaway but a wonderful experience overall. This place is fantastic and one of the best holidays we have ever had. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.”
Exquisite Private Beach with just 3 BASIC bungalows- with electric plugs and lighting. About 1 km from the beautiful, happy, friendly Melanesian village of Emua. No sound to disturb you but the gentle lapping of the lagoon in this sheltered cove. Each evening the sunset glows lighting the 3 islands which are a very short distance away. The local style thatched bungalows are set in a beautiful flowery tropical garden.
“Staying at Coral Sands (Vatupau/Kenneth’s place) was paradise. It almost felt surreal how perfect it was - set on a small private beach, clear water and coral reef for snorkeling, with kind and friendly locals who all smile and say hello. Getting to Coral Sands was simple- we caught a bus from Port Vila town center to Au Bon Mache Manples (150 Vatu). Ask the locals for the bus to Emua - which takes 45 minutes and cost 500 vatu. Once in Emua, George, the owner of Orovy Restaurant showed us the road to Coral Sands. Kenneth was there waiting for us and showed us his paradise, which we were lucky enough to have to ourselves! We stayed in the Coconut Cabin which was spacious, clean, tidy and cozy. It was very well netted, which was a bonus as mosquitos love me! There is a super handy hanging shelf and a rack to hang clothes. The shower and toilets are all in great condition. The real gem is the outdoor shower in the grotto - from which you can enjoy a view while showering. Both hammocks were well used during our stay. We had all the amenities we needed during our stay. We did bring food and snacks, but had Anita’s cooking for dinner (1000 vatu each) and breakfast (600 vatu each). The water supply at Emua has been low, so we bought water from the store when our Port Vila supply ran out (160 vatu for big bottle of water, 130 for soft drink can). We also bought lunch from the Emua road market one day (fish and rice 250 vatu). All in all, we pretty much spent our 2 nights, three days here in complete bliss - reading, swimming, snorkeling, chatting with locals, eating authentic food and feeling far away from the rest of the world. Kenneth and Anita are lovely and kind hosts who give you space but also know when to check in. 100% would love to return - hopefully for longer!”
I'm offering a fully self-contained one bedroom apartment with its own private entrance and access to a swimming pool. This apartment is just 2 minutes walk from centre of Port Vila. The property has two apartments. One is where I live with my husband and the other is the one bedroom apartment which I’m hosting on Airbnb. Transport is not a problem as the property is 100 mts from a busy road, shops and a bus stop.
“A huge Thank You to Marie, Morgan and Fabiola for looking after me so well and Rinnnick for his help and sense of humour. What an amazing experience, they don’t just do as they say on the box they go a lot further Morgan met me at the airport ( The cost of pick up is the same as a taxi and you have door to door service with help and guidance) helped me change some money, got me a SIM card and we were off. The accommodation is gleamingly clean and has everything you want with the added advantage of being three steps from the pool which I used frequently. They are on hand for local advice and invaluable tips and couldn’t possibly be more helpful Can not recommend this experience enough. Would definitely definitely come back”
