  • Interact with alpacas/tour fiber mill
Take a break from the hectic pace of life, back to "A Simpler Time" where you can unplug and de-stress enjoying the peaceful country setting and gentle ways of the alpaca. I will meet you in the driveway, along with our "greeter" dogs Max and Molly, and guide you down the country road to where you will meet the alpacas. Alpacas are very gentle animals and you will have the opportunity to go in with them to hand feed grain and take pictures with them. Meanwhile you will learn about the care of the alpacas, what they like and don't like and have an opportunity to get your questions answered. Next, we will make our way over to the barn which houses our fiber mill where you will see the process of how to make yarn from the fiber we collect after shearing the alpacas. We will wrap up our tour in our ranch store where you will have time to shop for items made from the luxuriously soft alpaca fiber, aka "the affordable cashmere". Plan on an hour or an hour and a half depending on the size of the group. All ages are welcome, children under 2 are free. Other things to note Wear comfortable walking shoes as there will be a short walk to get to the alpaca area from the driveway.

After riding, relax and take in the view with some wine and cheese or beer, chips, salsa and guacamole (other menu options available). This is where adventure meets relaxation to escape the same old city life. Leave here feeling like you were on a little vacation. This is great way to “unplug” and get face time with an old friend or a date night! Not to mention some great animal time with miniature horses, goats and chickens!

  • Cuddling with Goats at an Urban Farm
Welcome to our little farm! We're so excited to share what life on a urban farm is like. To start, we will greet you at the front of our house. Please let us know if you're afraid of dogs because our dog is friendly but quite big. Then, we'll take you out back to the farm where you'll be able to meet and play amongst the goats. We'll either be waking up the goats in the morning or bringing them back inside for bedtime. As this is a hands on experience, you may want to bring clothes that you don't mind dirtying. While here, you can play and cuddle with the goats, and I'll share more about how to take care of them. Being a goat owner is so much fun and I am happy to share more with you. You can feed them, play with them, cuddle them. We also do have a bunch of chickens, and many of them lay awesome, naturally coloured eggs. You are welcome to collect and purchase some of these eggs while you are visiting. If you'd like, you can bring apples, carrots (a few) or goat treats (found at a feed store), but we also have a few snacks to share with you! Other things to note: Please bring clothes and shoes that are allowed to get dirty. If you want to book another time or during the week, please send me a message/request! I can mostly accomendate :) Goats might "nibble" on you and your clothes, shoestrings or hair. The Dog might jump and "hug" you. Please be aware of that :)
