This rustic, down-to-earth home is close to the escarpment edge and historical sites, there's also rock climbing, hiking, abseiling & bird watching, trout fishing & horse riding. You’ll love my place for the fresh air, night skies, crackling winter fires, bookshelves, peace & tranquility. Importantly, it's free of modern-day distractions (no TV, radio or Wifi). The home is popular with climbers, folk traveling between Gauteng and Maputo, or friends families needing to bond and reconnect.
“We loved our stay at Charles! The places are comfortable, calm and very cozy. We could have spent more time there and we keep the address carefully. Lorna welcomed us with a lot of attention and kindness. The place is perfect for climbing! We followed Charles' advice: Roc'n rope. Perfect. A big thank-you.”

“Jaco's place is very lovely and secluded. We enjoyed our stay and fell in love with the Anthracite stove, especially considering the weather. The cottage we stayed in is perfect for a nice weekend in winter stay. We enjoyed the walk down to the river. The silence is beautiful especially when you want an escape from the concrete jungle. Or just a quiet weekend getaway. Charles was amazing our entire stay there. From when we arrived till we checked out. Thank you so much. ”
