This is my cozy little cottage in the woods! I love nature and wanted to share this space with anyone wanting to come experience the beautiful lakes or National Park. Located in Christopher Lake village, you are walking distance to shops, restaurant, and ice cream stand. 1 km around the corner is Bells beach, 8km to Sunnyside (more beaches, ice cream, mini golf, bar, etc) , and half hour drive gets you to Anglin Lake, Waskesui (National Park), and more!
“I could easily sum this AirBNB up by simply saying “BEST AIRBNB EVER!!” However Virginia, the hostess, deserves a Review with a lot more effort than just that. I have stayed at 5 AirBNB’s this summer (I wanted to give the kids a summer to remember, so I splurged)! However, this AirBNB put ALL the others to shame! Not only is the price right – btw thank-you so much Virginia for making this an affordable trip for us, you are an angel – but the cottage itself was cute, cozy, comfortable…it felt like a home. She put a lot of care and attention to detail into this cottage. She WANTS you to feel super comfortable at her cottage, and she goes out of her way to ensure that you will be! She even left a Provincial Park Pass, for us to go to Waskesui for the weekend of the Music Festival, which she kindly told us about. If it wasn’t for her, we wouldn’t have had as much fun as we did. She also leaves a pile of recommendations; describing the many activities, trails and many other things to do while at Christopher Lake. Helpful indeed! There was a huge Apple TV to watch, which the kids loved – including WIFI! Can’t go without Wifi, at least not with 2 teenagers! Virginia makes sure that you don’t have too 😀 The beds were comfortable; along w/high quality sheets, blankets, towels….everything is to the highest standards in this cottage! Even the Cookware is Lagostina – and trust me it helps! Staying at different AirBNB’s ALL summer, I can tell you the little things that you don’t think of that really make a big difference in your stay. Cookware is one of them! She had the Mini-Fridge FILLED with cans of Pop – in our family that was a dream! Lol. She also has “big kid” drinks; she emphasizes that you may help yourself to whatever you find, so that being said, I helped myself to a glass ;) As well, you will find all those toiletries that we always seem to forget to bring! She has literally thought of everything! There was a rare problem w/ the water pressure tank mid-stay; her and Joel attended to the issue immediately. In the meantime, they put us up in a nice little motel in Waskesui! She told me to find whatever I could (it was last minute, during the Waskesui Music Festival – there wasn’t much and it definitely wasn’t cheap, but she insisted we stay somewhere so that we could have access to showers, running toilets, etc.) That alone showed a lot of character from this amazing couple! This really meant a lot to me – they covered the entire bill! In a way I was almost hesitant to give such a (deserving) positive review…but only because I want to have this little gem all to myself! Lol. My own little piece of Heaven, run by the sweetest people you will ever meet. I cannot say enough good things about this AirBNB and the people that run it. You will undoubtedly be disappointed by other AirBNB’s after you’ve stayed here. Noone puts in the heart and effort that Virginia and Joel put into theirs. I can’t wait to stay here again! What a treat it was – you really helped to make this the best summer (and AirBNB of course) that we’ve ever experienced! We were completely WOWED from the minute we walked in to the cottage – and all the little (and BIG!) extra’s you left and included was over and above kind and generous. I wish there were more people in this world like you! THANK YOU Virginia and Joel 💓 ”
Brand new home, in a tranquil lakefront setting! Modern industrial home with all of the amenities, but set amongst trees and the sounds of loons. Cabin faces a peaceful bay, and is also adjacent to a protected nature area with trails for hiking or biking. Close to general groceries, golfing and other lakes. Double kayak available for use!
“Needed to commute to Montreal Lake each day and the cottage is a great price given the others in the area and was a reasonable distance from where I needed to go. Only a 1 minute walk from the back porch to the lake, the view from both bedrooms toward the lake is beautiful to wake up to. The place was properly heated. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.”

“Our stay at Jeanettes cabin was perfect for a family getaway. We brought our own pillows as suggested in another review and definitely recommend. The photos don’t do the cabin justice as it is a lot bigger than it looks and has a good layout, the rooms are fairly spacious as well. Very clean and well equipped kitchen which is also nice! The cabin is located in a great spot with a nice view across the lake to watch the sunrise. The beds do need updating but nothing terrible and we slept okay for 3 nights on them, for a longer stay it might not be as good. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would be back again!”
