The bunk room has been created as a nod to the hotel's creation as a safe place for sailors. You'll find the same thing in this space with 18' ceilings- cozy, strong, and comfortable triple bunk beds. All reserved guests must have a valid i.d and living address being 50+ miles from the downtown location.
  • A great Hostel if you are looking to stay downtown in Portland!

    Austin2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful hostel, super clean and in a central location. All of the spaces were sparkling clean and the staff was super kind and helpful!

    Baishali2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Had a really great experience. My stay went better than expected for a shared space. Recommended to bring your own lock for lockers.

    Karlo2019-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed in the room with the bunk beds. One of the nicest hostels I've stayed at. It was more like a capsule hotel, the bed was so soft and spacious, not claustrophobic, good quality privacy curtains, private plug and light, and tiny locker by your head. I liked that the big luggage lockers were far from the beds so you didnt have to worry about disrupting other people if you came late/left early. I didnt see the private rooms but I didnt feel like I missed out by staying in a bunk. Very quiet, good sleep quality. Kind of expensive for a bunk bed but the quality and location were excellent.

    Heidi2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • I enjoyed my stay at The Society Hotel. The bunk room was extremely clean and surprisingly quiet during the night. I would definitely recommend and stay here again!

    Danielle2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • - respectfully quiet ( though can get loud when guests leave/check in early mornings) - clean bunk bed, bathrooms /showers - bring your own locks for the lockers - nice friendly people

    Joanne2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely love this place. Great price, great experience. Good spot to stay at if you'll be out and about most of the time... even just to chill. The beds are super comfortable and it's very trustworthy place. Everybody respects your items and your space. I will definitely be staying here again when I go visit again.

Originally a hotel for sailors, we provide rooms with everything you need and nothing you don't. Beautiful light, close to everything!
  • Cool little spot in Portland close to shopping and restaurants. Voodoo Doughnuts is only about half a mile walk. Walking distance to a lot of places. If you can’t or don’t want to walk, Uber/Lyft drivers are plentiful in the area. Good parking garage to park at a couple blocks down. Great place to put your head down for the night. I would stay there again. I recommend the Oyster Bar in the Alley by Voodoo Doughnuts.

    Shawn2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great hostel type hotel nestled in the heart of downtown Portland with many attractions including VooDoo Doughnuts less than a mile away. The room had the bare necessities needed for a one night stay - a comfy bed, sink, and lights. The bathroom is shared but clean, and I never had to wait to use the restroom which was surprising given the amount of guests on my floor. The walls are quite thin so I would recommend ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. All in all this was a satisfactory Airbnb experience.

    Maya2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean hotel with comfy beds, stylish common spaces, and welcoming staff. It’s right in downtown, which is very convenient. On the minus side, the loitering and homeless encampments are common in the area.

    Melynda2019-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Always stay here when in Portland, great hotel

    Deirdre2019-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic place to stay to truly experience Portland. Pretty inexpensive and great for young travelers.

    Conrad2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay! Friendly staff, convenient location for the conference I was attending and an easy walk to great shopping and eating. My room was nice and quiet and the shared bathroom was easy. Would definitely recommend!

World Famous VooDoo Doughnuts 1 block away, Dante's 1 block away, Star Theater and The Roseland both 2 blocks away, 100s of restaurants and 100s of food carts to choose from with just blocks!!! This neighborhood has it alls Cannabis dispensary 2 blocks away!
  • Charlie and his wife were just as down to earth as they seemed to be in their communication before the trip! Even though this listing says "private room" i would actually consider this more like a studio apartment, which is awesome because going in and out of the place there was total privacy and it was in a secured building too so I didn't have to worry about any Old Chinatown crazies coming through. The accommodations were nothing fancy or special but perfect for what I needed as a single dude on a business trip, and I did love the convenience of the location right there in downtown Portland near everything! I didn't rent a car on this trip but ended up just using Uber and the AirMax, and that ended up being a smart move that saved the hassle of parking and only costed me about $70 total for a 3 and a half day trip (versus $80/day + for a rental car). All in all I'd stay here again and will definitely keep this place in mind. Thanks again Charlie!

    Elias2016-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Charlie's place was very convenient for our one night in Portland. Easy to walk around and get to fun places - would have loved to stay in the city longer!

    Kori2017-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, there was a big trashcan filled with trash in hallway that smelled pretty bad when trying to get to room. I would say for the price amd location, its ideal for a place to sleep and shower, thats all.

    Michael2018-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Perfectly fine as a locale if you're not going to spend a ton of down-time there (it's fairly small), and it's very close to a MAX LITE stop, which was convenient. There is a noisy bar right next door, so some nights there will be loud bass that may keep you up, though that's obviously out of the control of the hosts, who were lovely. I didn't manage to have time to get down to their deli because of my schedule while I was there, but the per diem seems like a pretty sweet bonus.

    Joe2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice place and location. The place is spacious and clean; lots of light, air conditioning and solid amenities.

    Nausheen2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy room to stay in, located right next to the chinatown gate and a few minutes walk away from the tramway stop that brings you to the airport! Delicious deli right under the room! Overall great stay!

    Carson2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, walking distance to tourist areas, parking, and public transportation. Charlie was a great host and responded quickly to our questions. We appreciated the daily credit for Charlie's Deli. Thank you!

  • The place had a great location with a city and river view and was just around the corner from a light rail stop. The room was setup nicely and, although I spent most of my time out exploring Portland, it was nice place to sit around and relax. If I travel there again, I will definitely see if it is available. Austin was very helpful with suggestions for a place to eat. I arrived in the city in the morning well before check-in time and Austin took care of my suitcase so that I could head right out in town and not have to worry about it.

    Stephen2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Austin and Raze’s place is an absolutely beautiful nook with a great view of the Willamette River. Austin was very helpful with offering suggestions to see and eat at in Portland. I highly recommend this place!

    Victoria2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Austin and Raze have a cute place, and were great hosts. The only negative was it was a bit noisy in the room with the windows open in the summer weather (trains and the highway across the river) but I managed to get enough sleep despite mild jet lag, and it otherwise a lovely place to stay

    Craig2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was small but comfortable, decorated with a tropical theme which I thought was adorable. The windows of the guest room have a gorgeous view, especially at night. The host was extremely responsive and even checked in via the app to see how we were doing and if we needed anything. That being said, it didn’t feel like we were intruding in someone’s home, as I’ve often felt staying in shared spaces in the past. Really great place and would stay again if I was in the area again.

    Megan2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and well appointed living space. The room was private. Austin is an extremely friendly host and respectful of guest personal space. Bathroom was spotless. Would definitely stay again next time I’m in Portland!

    Cho2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to explore Portland from. Lovely apartment! Felt like I had the place to myself most of the time. There are a couple of blocks that are a bit rough but I felt perfectly safe walking through. Would definitely stay again!

    Charlotte2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Austin’s place is pretty and nicely decorated with great amenities and he keeps it sparklingly clean. It’s also a great location for getting around Portland and it’s central to a lot of the places we wanted to go and explore. Thanks for a great stay!

    Taylor2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Austin was so kind to my partner and I. We had a wonderful stay at his home, which was cozy and comfortable. The location was fantastic, and the sunrise in the mornings was a spectacle to see! We would for sure stay here again!

  • The Society Hotel is absolutely charming. It was clean and comfy, and the front desk staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Having such a cute cafe right downstairs is a treat, and the roof deck was perfect for a nighttime drink!

    Vanessa2019-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely boutique hotel. My room was spacious and extremely clean. The little cafe in the lobby is great and you get access to the vary nice roof top terrace when you purchase an item. It is a transitional neighborhood, so there are homeless on the street. It is centrally located, lots of great restaurants and bars right out its doorstep. I felt very safe and would return again as a solo female traveler.

  • I stayed here for a quick business trip and the apartment was in a convenient location. The WiFi was slow, the blinds were broken, and the communication with the management company was inconsistent based on who was responding to my inquiry. Other than that, the apartment had everything I needed for my stay.

This one-of-a-kind property sits in the heart of downtown Portland. Built in 1888, this small piece of Portland history has miraculously survived waves of urban development without losing its 19th century charm. Enjoy a private upstairs apartment.
Architecturally, the home boasts original features that make this style of 19th century Victorians such beautiful and intriguing properties. The steep roofs, high ceilings, intricate exterior paint details, and hard wood floors offer a first-hand glimpse at the handmade quality and timeless craftsmanship of the late 1800’s.
Situated directly across from the Portland Library, two blocks away from Pioneer Square and only minutes away from Portland State University, it is truly situated in the heart of the city. It is surounded by fine dining opportunities at Jakes, Jakes Grill, Southpark, Ringside Fishhouse, and the Heathman.
  • We stayed here for 7 full days and loved every bit of it. Patti was visiting family over spring break so we only got to meet her briefly. Things to note about this place: It's the ideal location for anything Portland. Portland's city blocks are smaller than most cities which means it only takes around 15 minutes to walk from here to the waterfront. It is also one-block from a TriMet MAX stop (rail transit) that can help you get anywhere you'd like. The bathroom is stocked with almost anything you'd need and the kitchenette is very inviting. The bed really is as amazing as others have described. We would definitely stay again!

    Joshua2015-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Patti's listing is very conveniently located in Downtown Portland - 5 minutes walk to Blue Star Donuts, Nordstrom, Whole Foods and many other stores. It is also a comfortable accommodation with plush mattress and pillows. The bathroom is spacious and comes with a towel warmer and necessary toiletries. The keyless entry also makes things very convenient.

    Ariana2014-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing stay! Thank you!!

    Brian2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This charming space is in the heart of the city. It’s easily accessible by public transit (the red MAX line passes right by the front door) and is clean and well maintained. As other’s have mentioned, there is noise from the street and bar patio immediately behind the property. But I slept very well on the comfy bed using earplugs (mine) and the white noise machine (provided). Several amenities were available: WiFi, Apple TV, extra toiletries & paper products, an iron, clothes steamer, Keurig coffee machine, water dispenser, mini fridge, microwave, toaster. Target is a block away if needed. The keyless building entry was also great - no key to lose! (You’re provided with your own key code before check in.) Patti was very responsive to questions. Overall I had a great stay and would come back to this property.

    Jacqueline2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a beautiful place and amazing location! Talk about awesome walking out your front door to a beautiful downtown area and just steps from great public transportation. This really is more of a 'whole apt' then 'private room', because the whole upstairs is yours to stay in. Very quaint and comfortable! Patti & her husband were very wonderful and considerate hosts! I truly hope I have the opportunity to stay here again.

    Sam2015-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • We got the access information via AirBNB before we arrived. Everything was as described. A good location of town even though it may appear otherwise. This area has a shelter near by that provides food for homeless people, they don't bother anyone and they don't cause any trouble. There is also foot police patrols at times and park police making sure people aren't loitering. Left the car parked at a car garage for 2 days, no problems at all. Good places to eat and drink within 2 blocks from the room.

    Paul2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Upon arrival there were several u haul boxes in the front entry. The air conditioning consisted of a machine with 5 gallon buckets and hoses as well as quite a bit of noise. It seemed as though someone was moving out of their house. I really would suggest trying out any other spot in Portland. I don’t understand how anyone would charge the amount of money it cost for a spot that is definitely in transition.

    Daryl2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Patti's place for 3 nights. The location is central to everything in Portland, the room looks as it appears in the photos (just lovely!), while the room is in a working business, I felt safe, secure and that my room was private at all times. Previous reviewers have mentioned the noise, but I didn't find it an issue & didn't need to use the ear plugs available. Lastly, I only met Patti & her husband once, they were very kind, offered suggestions on things to see in Portland & made me feel very welcome. Patti was also really great with her e-mail communication. Thanks so much for a great stay. I hope to be back one day!

Feast your eyes on great views from floor-to-ceiling windows that let in so much lovely light. Large rooms let you spread out and relax in style. Bring your chef’s hat, your cozy abode sports a fully equipped kitchen, though some of Portland’s finest restaurants are just a stone’s throw away!
Your downtown Portland location puts you steps from Pioneer Square plus great dining and nightlife. Your just a short jaunt from Waterfront Park with great food carts, arts and crafts vendors, and outdoor performances. And, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, with a great planetarium and hands-on exhibits, is just across the Willamette River, with the City of Roses’ numerous weird and wonderful haunts also close by!
  • The only time you called or checked on your guest or answered anything was when there was a miscommunication she called me about the check in arrangements to see if she could get money then told me to rebook then said she couldn’t help me after she got 650$ extra dollars from me I’m just disgusted with the corporate thievery bulllshit

    Greg2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • We were so happy with our stay in this condo! The view, style and central location drew us in but we underestimated the convenience of this location being 1st time Portland visitors. I knew we were close to Pioneer Square but I didn’t realize this meant we were 1-2 blocks from all MAX lines including a 1/2 block from the red line leading to/from the convention center and airport! I also loved being 2 blocks from 40 international food trucks and a couple blocks from great donut shops, nightlife and great shopping! I do wish we had access to the gym & parking for our 5 night stay-this would have been a welcome improvement but was clearly not an option at our time of renting. My only frustration however was the lack of dresser drawers for the four of us which led to the necessity for us to mostly live out of our suitcases (for all things not hung). This would be such an easy fix to improve an otherwise excellent condo!

  • This Airbnb is well located near public transportation and was within walking distance of much of the city. The kitchen has most of what you will need for all cooking. There is train noise but we seemed to adjust to that well. The hosts are available and kind. The are local and can give you all kinds of suggestions of what to see. Enjoy.

    Kitty2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Bob and Karen's place for almost 3 months. Karen welcomed me on my arrival and check-in. She was very warm and made me feel welcomed. She made sure I had all the information needed and left instructions on important things. They were both very prompt and responsive all throughout my stay. They were excellent communicators and were quick to inform me whenever there were important issues that needed my attention in the property complex. Their place had a great location, right next to the Willamette River. I enjoyed the countless of times watching the ducks swimming in the river and seeing some passing birds chirping on the trees or on the balcony. There is also a walking/trail path along the river bank that had an easy access from the property complex. I enjoyed those occasional walks especially on a beautiful day, just watching the sunset and admiring the lovely scenery. The apartment was fully equipped with all the necessary items for a comfortable living. The kitchen was well stocked and provided everything that I needed for cooking. The bedroom was spacious enough and had a comfortable bed. The cabinet with drawers and closet provided space for all my personal belongings. The bathroom was a perfect size for 1 - 2 people, with a shower and bath. There is also a pull-out bed in the living room area that was very useful whenever I had my son over for a visit and stayed during school breaks. The living room had a cozy couch for watching TV, and just simply gazing at the view of the river outside. The dining table/area was my favorite spot every morning for breakfast. The laptop counter was a very useful space for my computer and writing. I appreciate the convenience of the property's proximity to great restaurants, shopping, supermarkets, Lloyds Center Mall, and just for sightseeing. The Portland weekend market is just a 10-minute walk for me. I had a rental car all throughout my stay, and had a parking space alloted. I felt secure during my stay at their property.

  • My wife stayed here three nights on our trip to Portland, and I couldn't recommend this place more. The location was great, the apartment itself was very comfortable and posh feeling, and Jane was so responsive and helpful.

  • I love this apartment and enjoyed every moment of my stay! It is the perfect size, outfitted with everything you could possibly need and in a perfect location to walk everywhere in the Pearl. Sparkling clean and the decor is lovely. I was so comfortable here. The host is amazing and although we did not meet I know she would have responded immediately if anything went wrong. But, nothing went wrong. :) It was a perfect stay and I can't wait to come back. Thank you Jane for even having sharp scissors in the kitchen which came in handy several times. And the Red Diamond wine you left for me was deliciously perfect! Thank you for everything! You are the best.

  • "What more could you ask for," those are my thoughts on reflecting on our wonderful stay at Jane's Condo in the Pearl. A wonderful location......we walked to amazing restaurants like Mediterranean Exploration Company, Taste and Alder, and Piazza Italia for dinner, not to mention Mother's for breakfast and World Foods around the corner for great wine, cheese and fruit. It was just a short stroll to Art Museums, shopping, farmer's markets, Pearl Pilates and the parks offered all the walking you could want. After all the wonderful things to do in the Pearl, what a pleasure to return to Jane's perfectly appointed condo with everything you could possibly need! At the end of the day you will have a wonderful nights sleep on a perfect mattress with the most comfortable pillows. Jane makes your stay just like being at home.......she foresees your every need and is amazingly responsive to any questions you may have.

  • Honestly, of all the places I’ve stayed around Portland this one quickly became my favorite. Bright and clean, perfectly located, quiet yet right in the heart of Pearl. Restaurants and grocery shopping literally just out the door. Yoga, gyms, public transportation, even a post office all within a few minutes walk. The place itself is well appointed with a decent work space, couch to sprawl on, and excellent bed. Good Wi-Fi and cable. All appliances top notch. Well worth a stay.

    Nancy2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jane's place is amazing. Amazing apartment, appliances, decorations, amenities, location, everything is stocked so that you can have a great time here. We (two adults and a young child) stayed at Jane's apartment for 1 month, and Jane's apartment was perfect because it had all the amenities to live comfortably out of our suitcase. The Pearl district location is really convenient, close to streetcars and within walking distance to Downtown and other cool locations. Would definitely stay again if I needed to! Thanks Jane!

Welcome to the home base for your car-free Portland weekend. 30 minutes from the airport. 10 minutes from the Amtrak station and the inter-city Bolt Bus to/from Seattle. Walk to most of Portland's attractions. Stop back by during your day for pit stops, showers, naps, or to drop off your sales-tax-free purchases. Enjoy easy access to all of Portland via user-friendly public transportation - choose from any MAX light rail line, streetcar line, and 20 bus lines. No frills, all the basics covered.
Inside a small modern 450sf / 42m2 1-bedroom apartment, your room is 10 x 12 feet / 3 x 3.3 meters with a high ceiling and a double/full bed. There is space on the bedroom floor for your suitcases, shelves for personal items, and a bathroom sink top for your toilet articles. Upon request, get a bar and hangers for your clothes. If you're looking for luxury and total privacy, this is not the place. It's about having a clean, safe, comfortable, affordable and conveniently-located place to sleep and shower.
Portland's Old Town Chinatown neighborhood is a vibrant business district with lots of entertainment venues, restaurants, strip clubs and nightlife. Weekends can be noisy outside your bedroom window with revelers, sirens and train horn - ear plugs provided. The neighborhood is a central location for social services, so many homeless people hang out and sleep on the streets. They won't harm you if you don't harm them. If this makes you feel uncomfortable, you may want to book another place.
  • Our stay with Kathrine was great! Super close to all the happenings downtown. Perfect for anyone is is looking to see the city. I would absolutely recommend staying here. Kathrine was available often and responded quickly to my questions. I would absolutely stay again!

    Bryce2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine was nice and gave us what we needed. The room is minimal but, if you're only looking for a place to hold your stuff and sleep then this place works great. The wash room is nice and large. There is also a good collection of brochures that gave us ideas of where to visit. The place is very close to the train/bus station so we didn't have a hard time finding the place. It's also a large hub for the local transit so you can pretty much go anywhere from here. The late check in time was a bit weird, we had to walk around holding our luggage but this could be for work/personal reasons which is fine. The access to the apartment is a little tricky at first but once you get it, it won't be a problem. One final note is the location. It's located in the edge of Chinatown that has become a bit sketchy. We didn't run into any problems, but it's something to keep in mind depending who you're traveling with. Overall this place worked for us. The price was great and it was within walking distance to a lot of local attractions. I would definitely recommend this place!

    Howard2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine was really nice and welcoming! She was always there for us and made sure everything went smoothly. She was also very helpful, suggesting us things to see and do. The location of her place is awesome. It's close to pretty much all the sights of downtown Portland and some wonderful restaurants. The building had a doorman and felt very safe, as did the neighborhood around it. Inside everything was nice and clean, and the sheets were really soft.

    Maria2016-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • Her place is all about location, location, location! An easy distance from the train station, voodoos, and powells, my friend and I were never far from home. She is also open, inviting, and accepting with a fun taste in desk lamps ;). Her building has a rooftop terrace with a view that is absolutely to-die-for and an attached coffee shop to the floor level that had the best drinks of our trip.

    Rachel2018-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, convenient, and exactly as described. Very centrally located! Katherine had some great suggestions for getting around, provided toiletries for guests, and even had a book shelf full of Portland guidebooks. I'd happily stay here again.

    Jack2017-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine's place is secure, clean and central to a lot around downtown portland. Everything is walkable. She is very nice and helpful!

    Anita2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This place offered breathtaking views of the city. It smelled and looked extremely clean. The parking across the street is super affordable and the entrance to the garage is on the same side of the street as the building so there aren’t any long walks in the cold. The bed is comfortable, the decor is trendy, and the shower was amazing. I loved the blinds on the floor to ceiling windows which helped to block all sunlight when needed. I would definitely stay here again. This place really felt like home.

    Lily2019-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • I was traveling for work and this place was perfect. Conveniently located. All the amenities of staying in a hotel (plus a kitchen!) for a significant amount less. Also self check in, which I always prefer. Would stay again for a similar trip.

    Shelby2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place. Easy to check in. Awesome walkable location.

    Mike2019-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gorgeous space with a breathtaking view. The price is comparable to a lot of the hotels in the area but you get a full kitchen and many other amenities. The location is incredibly central: a minute walk away from the MAX and close enough to Pioneer Square to enjoy the food trucks. If you are doing anything in downtown, this place is pretty perfect.

    Natalia2019-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a well styled apartment in a great location within Portland. Only a stones throw away from great bars and restaurants with the apartment being very comfortable and clean in a new building. I highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Portland.

  • The apartment is beautiful, functional & very well located. The view and the light of the unit were 2 of the things that I liked most. The check in and check out processes were easy and without any inconveniences. The Stay Alfred app worked great. General staff & concierge were very helpful! It was a pleasant experience my stay @Stay Alfred. Highly recommended!

  • Roomy, modern, quiet, and very clean with a comfortable bed. It was nice having a washer and dryer right in the unit. The air conditioning was great. We had everything we needed. Checkin and checkout was very easy. The location was awesome, and on a clear day I think I could barely see Mount Hood in the distance. I highly recommend this place!

    Monte2019-07-02T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay here. Check-in was seamless. The place was very clean, comfortable and well appointed. Easy with our toddler. Great view. Great light. Great bed. The location was excellent. We would definitely stay here again.

  • The Stay Alfred property went above and beyond and this is truly a steal. The location is right in the heart of downtown Portland and you can walk to just about everything. The property was kept cleaner than many hotels and they left a nice list of recommendations for local things to do on the table. They give extra towels and linens and the space is quite nice with floor to ceiling windows. We enjoyed the cable TV as an added plus and definitely would recommend. Look forward to staying again next time we're in town.

    Vanessa2019-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was great and efficient. Great place for someone who needs to be downtown as it's walking distance to everything. The apartment is very new with every amenity you could need.

11th floor east facing unobstructed view of downtown portland, on a clear day can see Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helens, and Mt. Adams out the window. Spacious 800sqft apartment located in the heart of the pearl district. Secure building with concierge, locked bike storage room and community room with BBQ. Everything downtown portland has to offer within walking distance and 1 block to the portland streetcar. 30 day minimum lease due to building restrictions
  • Jeremy was a great host! He was always very quick at responding to my queries, no matter how silly they were. Living at the apartment was a great experience, thanks to the concierge present. They were of great help too. Not only did they help me with getting familiar with the building, but also helped me know about the locality too. Had a great time looking out of the window every evening. Jeremy's place is aptly located, you just have to get out of the building, and voila! The streetcar station and the bus stops are right there. The benefit of being loacted at Pearl district was that there was things to do, places to eat and places to drink everywhere.

Living room has a new queen sofa bed with memory foam mattress. There's a market on premises and a small bar. Lots of restaurants in the Pearl that deliver to your door. Easy access to metro, buses and trains. You don’t need a car in Portland (98walking score), but you’ve got a designated covered parking spot.
On the river but in the city. walk score 95.
  • Beverly's place is a wonderful condo on the Willamette river, very easy access to downtown Portland by bike, transit, or just walking. The trail along the river is just down a flight of stone steps out the back door, and is great for running, walking, or biking. When I arrived the place was fully stocked and ready to live in, plenty of condiments, spices, etc. for cooking. There is a freight train route on the other side of the river, which crosses over about 1/4 mile south of the condo, with trains going through a few times a day. Not overly loud, but definitely audible. All in all, it's a great place to stay and experience downtown Portland. Highly recommend.

For downtown living, this condo is quiet. It is in a small (under 20 unit) complex on the first (not ground level) floor. (Ground level in a restaurant) The very large patio, and park immediately across Park Ave is nice with a pet. See everyone else walking from far and wide to bring their pet to where you already are! There are no public spaces (gym or otherwise). Our building takes up 1/8 of the block. Another 1/8 is an office building on our north side. The remaining 3/4 of the block is the Hampton Inn and Suites. Please note, my condo is on the hotel side of the complex. There is no view of the park from the condo. Parking is available at the Hampton for $300/month with full in/out privileges.
The Pearl District is full of shopping, restaurants and night life! The North Park Blocks divide the Pearl from Chinatown.
  • At Heather's place you can expect to have everything you need to enjoy your stay in Portland no matter how long you plan to stay. Heather is very responsive and informative if you need anything while staying in her unit. All you will need to bring is your clothes and personal stuff. Don't need a car for you are half a block from the bus system on two blocks from the trolley or rail. Portland's transportation system is almost as good as New Yorks, and in some ways better. Many restaurants are within walking distance. We stayed there for two months and did not eat in the same place twice.

  • This was my very first time staying in the Old Town area in Portland and, I must say, this was also the first time I've had such an amazing stay in this city. From the moment I checked-in and well until my easy-breezy check-out, The Society Hotel's lovely staff was nothing but courteous, kind, and so attentive. The hotel is ideally located in a central area and it carries a lot of charm from olden days. The building has been thoughtfully renovated to suit our modern times. My listing had everything I needed for an extremely comfortable stay. {The plush, soft mattress was a plus after long days and I sincerely appreciated the a/c during what turned out to be a very hot week}. The room was squeaky clean and tastefully decorated; it also had nice views of the city (then again, there's also the wonderful rooftop you can visit, should you wish to take in more sights}. The bar and lounge area is so sweet! This was quite a memorable experience. I know where I'm staying during my next trip to Portland! I'm ever grateful, Society. Thank you!

  • Wonderful apartment to stay in Portland! The location was incredible (literally right in the middle of downtown and also one of the nicest parts in our opinion) and we both agreed that the apartment contributed greatly to the great time we had in Portland and our feeling right at home there! It was great to have all the amenities of a hob, fridge and freezer etc and the flat is the perfect size for two and in a lovely building and has gorgeous floor to ceiling windows all the way through! Probably worth noting that the blinds are pretty thin so your room is never really dark and gets light pretty early but being motivated to get up early is never a bad thing :)

    Victoria2019-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great space and perfect location, very accessible to everywhere we wanted to go in the city. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean.

  • My experience was great. Booked about week before New Years and was surprised at the affordable price for last minute booking. Communication with the host was quick and straightforward. The home was clean and had everything we needed. Location was great. Getting the keys was a little tricky, but the host did write in detail each step to locate and retrieve the keys. Only thing that was a little disappointing was that parking was not offered, but the price for a one night stay in downtown Portland made up for it. I would recommend this home to others!

    Schick2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is an absolutely wonderful place. The kitchen has everything you need, the bathrooms are great, with quality fixtures, and the place is so comfy. I hope to return. The location is un-beatable too. Right on the MAX red line (meaning you can conveniently get to/from the airport for $2.50!) and near all kinds of stores, restaurants, great walking, and cafes galore.

  • We stayed on the 6th floor, Room 601. The condo was nice and in a good location. The sun sets on this side of the building so the perforated shades were fine. There was construction on this side of the building so it wasn't as quiet as it could've been. If you have a car, just be careful when you park on the street. Don't leave anything valuable or visible in the car because it will get broken into.

  • This place was beautiful and perfectly located. It had all the amenities I needed and great views of the west hills. I can’t wait to go back!
