**Please click on "read more" and read everything below before booking** Our place is a bit unusual and we want to be sure it's a great match for your style of traveling. Please read all details below, plus the house rules so you don't miss anything that might really matter to you once you get here. This is studio #17 - a private guest room designed as a simple & affordable space for arts-related guests near the heart of Seattle's downtown gallery district. But you don't have to be an artist to stay here - all are welcome! You'll have this private room all to yourself. It's located among a group of art studios on the second floor of a commercial building. We're in the Japantown area of Seattle's historic International District, a few blocks east of Pioneer Square and the sports stadiums. The bed has a luxurious Novaform queen mattress & very comfortable fresh bedding. We also provide towels, extra pillows & blankets, bath robes, and other amenities. Free wifi and satellite tv w/HBO are included. We recently finished a major remodel of the room, which is why there’s a gap in our reviews. So yes if you've stayed here before this is the same place, but even better! There's only one guest room now, and the guest bathroom is now private, just for you. ~~~~~~~~~ important notes: • There's a private bathroom with keypad entry just outside the room dedicated only for our guests. You'll need to step out into the hallway to reach the bathroom, but it's just a few feet away. • This is not a room in an apartment building - the other rooms on the floor are artist work spaces. The room is quiet and the artists don't live here. • The room has a skylight, and no other windows. It has a mini-split hvac unit for air conditioning & heat. There's also a ventilation exhaust fan on the ceiling which will clear out stale air and draw in fresh air from the hallway as needed. • There is a long flight of stairs to get up to our floor (no elevator). • Our listing is a little unusual and we want to be sure it's going to meet your needs before you choose to book it. Please send us a note with the secret code word TEDDY (that's our dog) - this will let us know you hung in there and read the whole thing. • Also before booking make sure your user i.d. profile is complete, including a good clear photo of you. It helps with security in our building to be able to identify guests. Thank you!
This is a fun & interesting international neighborhood with lots of quirky shops and tons of food choices - including a great sushi restaurant right in our building. There's quick take-out to high end, and everything in between. Uwajimaya Asian specialty supermarket is close by, plus coffee shops & bakeries - you won't go hungry in this neighborhood! • Check our online Guidebook to see all the great restaurants & attractions we've bookmarked in our neighborhood. We also have a guidebook in the room when you arrive with some of our favorite spots nearby for food, plus maps and other details. • We're just a few blocks from the baseball & soccer/football stadiums. There are many bars and clubs within walking distance, and even more just a quick bus ride away. Since the building is right downtown you can also easily visit the Seattle Art Museum, Sculpture Park, Pike Place Market, the Space Needle, Experience Music Project, and many other great Seattle attractions. • Please note that we're right next to the Pioneer Square neighborhood, which tends to have some homeless people on the streets. Along with the conveniences of being right downtown - great public transportation & cool places to visit - this is city life and we don't recommend walking around by yourself late at night.
  • This is a great place to stay. Close to the Light Rail and Dirk&Jaq gave excellent directions. I can imagine the ladder to the bed may be a bit challenging to climb for some. The hosts were very responsive to all questions and made my stay there easy. Would definitely book with them again.

    Shelby2013-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts made us feel welcome and were very easy to communicate with. The room is quite basic (no window, for example), but more than adequate if you're planning on spending your time sightseeing and enjoying all that Seattle has to offer. The bed was very comfy, and the room was clean. The bathroom and the shower were clean and easily accessible.

    Piotr2015-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location. Couldn't do better for the price. Jaq gave great instructions to get us checked in and then to the airport on our last day.

    Elaine2016-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • Dirk & Jackie were excellent hosts, there's nothing much to say. Seattle is amazing, the loft is located in one of the most important neighborhoods in the city. Really close to the Century Field, perhaps you can catch a soccer or football game there. The only detail I would need to declare is that the space gets really tight in the actual loft, I mean I'm not saying that you have no space, but it can sure get really tight.

    Alejandro2016-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent hosts and accommodations! I'm so glad we had this booking - it helped make our weekend trip sightseeing in Seattle a great, hassle-free time! Location and Logistics- awesome, right by the International District ("ID")/Chinatown stop. Took the Link from the airport and Shuttle Express back (no Super Shuttle in Seattle under $100). Great (mostly Asian) restaurants nearby. Quality - the space was great, exactly as it was described in the listing. Clean, well-organized, well-lit. The loft was perfect for those who need a quiet place to recharge. The actual loft part was pretty nifty, like sleeping in a treehouse. The ceiling has a big space in the middle, triangle-shaped, so their is a little bit of headroom up there. Great, conscientious, experienced hosts - Dirk and Jaq were up troubleshooting before we were one morning when a strong windstorm knocked out some of the power to the building. Everything you could need (towels, robe, dishes, utensils) was provided and there were clear instructions throughout. Great AirBnb experience. I highly recommend this particular listing, great example of an AirBnb.

    Jennifer2014-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place, perfect for our short stay in Seattle. Everything was clean and cozy, and the location was very close to the Link and bus lines.

    Zhou2012-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • I was visiting in town for a web developer conference so I wanted to stay in a place that was centrally located. Dirk and Jaq's place worked out well for me. It was very clean and quiet. I would recommend staying there again!

    Jeff2013-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Dirk and Jaq's art loft is such a unique find. The bed and blankets were so incredibly comfortable. They made it easy to check in and check out, which was really appreciated given our very short stay.

Charming, one-of-a-kind bedroom in the heart of historic downtown Pioneer Square available for game days! Built in 1890, the Nord was originally a small downtown hotel for loggers that worked on the hill (now Yesler Way). It has brick walls, high ceilings, and all the eclectic charm that comes with a historic building. (Note: There is no elevator in the building. This is a second floor unit.)
The two-bedroom apartment has a private bedroom with a comfortable queen bed and full access to the rest of the apartment, including the kitchen and beautiful picture windows that overlook First Avenue. There is plenty of window-watching, especially on game days, when fans parade down First Avenue on their way to the stadiums, or just viewing the excitement of downtown Pioneer Square. There is also full access to wi-fi and television with Amazon Prime and Sling if you're not busy exploring downtown Seattle. Everything is in walking distance, including Pike Place Market, the International District, the harbor, museums, aquarium, sculpture park, exceptional shopping, and overwhelming options for food and drink. And of course, the stadiums if you are here for a game. There is no need for a car. It is a quick walk to the light rail to the airport, and the streetcar is right outside the backdoor if you want to explore beyond downtown. Please note: The apartment is located in a very vibrant and exciting neighborhood. There will be city noise, especially on weekends and weekend evenings. This space is also a home. Although you will probably rarely see us during your visit, my senior pup and I consider it our downtown home. It is very charming, but the apartment is not hotel-perfect, and has some loving wear-and-tear on furniture and details. However, your room should be beautiful, comfortable, and clean, and you can contact me at any time if it is not and you have problems or questions. Your pup is welcome if well-behaved and not a barker (it is a very small building) and for a $15 per night fee. Happy travels, and welcome to Seattle, wherever you choose to stay!
You are in the heart of historic Pioneer Square with easy access to stadiums, downtown, Pike Place Market, and the waterfront. Plenty of public transportation and rideshare available, so no need for a car! Link rail to the airport and Amtrak is a close walk away.

Historic one bedroom apartment with exposed brick, full kitchen along with a washer and dryer. Walking distance to stadium, waterfront, Pike Place Market and museums. Sleeps 4 with day bed.
One bedroom Apartment in Pioneer Square, Downtown Seattle, within walking distance of stadiums, waterfront, Pike Place Market and museums. Apartment is fully furnished, has a kitchen and washer dryer.
Experience where Seattle was founded. Explore the historic district full of boutique shops, breweries, restaurants and history. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Waterfront and the Pike Place Market, all within walking distance.
  • Historic and charming location. Convenient check in and check out. Lively neighborhood with lots of street noise. Otherwise, great location and very comfortable.

    Jessica2017-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • We love this location...it is so easy to access sporting events and concerts. Parking is a bit tricky, but the garage across from the hotel is safe and clean. There is city noise, as you are right in the heart of downtown. We enjoy this aspect, but it might be bothersome to some.

    Michelle2016-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This location is beautiful and very historic. It was in a perfect location close to everything downtown. We didn't speak with Darcy in person directly but she messaged us when she was available and very nice. Everything was clean and comfortable. We hope this is available when we go back to Seattle because it is perfect.

    Natalie2016-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very central location in Seattle, just steps to the ferry and a 15 minute walk to Pike's Place. It's directly above the Merchant's Cafe. The apartment was a great value for Seattle with a small kitchen, living room, bathroom and private bed room costing less than a hotel room anywhere! The brick/chalkboard walls were fun and created a lot of fun ambiance. The building is on a busy corner and the walls are thing so you will hear everything going on outside. There are street cleaners and other vehicles that will wake up even deep sleepers wearing earplugs, so that's something to consider. The building is old and some electrical outlets do not work. Internet was also unavailable. It's a great spot from which to explore Seattle and the total value was great, but it's best for those who want to unplug and don't need to be connected.

    Lindsay2015-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Darcy's place has a lot of personality (brick walls, dimly lit lamps, old wooden closets), as does the surrounding neighborhood (lots of bars, cafes, and restaurants, and walking distance to Pike Place). Lots of energy in the vicinity (especially at night), so if you're into that, this spot is hard to beat.

    Keagon2018-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We went to Seattle for a friend's wedding, so only stayed a couple nights. It was super easy to get to on Seattle's public rail line and was very conveniently located to a lot of fun things! We walked to the Space Needle and Chihuly Gardens, checked out Pikes market, and also Pyramid brewery near the stadium. There was trash pick-up at 6/7am on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, but we just shut the windows on the alley side Sunday morning and it helped cut down on noise. The bed was comfy and the shower had great water pressure. It was a very charming place and we would definitely stay there again.

  • Martin's Airbnb rental was fantastic! It is located in a great neighborhood that's within walking distance to many great restaurants and experiences. If you want to venture farther north for Seattle attractions (e.g. the Space Needle, Museum of Pop Culture, etc.) it's an easy walk (if you're used to walking 1+ miles like my wife and me) or a cheap Lyft ride. Martin also provided a binder with excellent local recommendations and information on the apartment. And his title isn't underplaying the view - it was a gorgeous scene of downtown Seattle along the bay. My wife and I would definitely stay again if/when visiting Seattle.

  • Great place for baseball or football fans in Seattle to see a game. Close to everything and rooftop patio is amazing!

    Michele2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, beautiful view day and night. I drank all the free sodas 😬 but I left other snacks in exchange. Great coffee and little helpful guides. Bed super comfy too!

    Kasha2018-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place had a great location - only 20 minute walk to pikes. VERY CLEAN and the bed was comfy. Great views from the apartment. The amenities in the building and apartment were great. I did find it a bit awkward to have to pretend to be friends with someone in the building when it was clear that we were travelers and new to the area.

    Joy2017-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • The view here is incredible, from the room and the rooftop. You'll probably want to plan a night in just to chill out and enjoy it! The stadium and King St station are really close, and there are a some great bars and restaurants around too. Walking distance from most things around town or a quick Uber. I would definitely stay again!

    Kristen2017-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great views and the perfect spot to crash after the Mariner's game. New, clean place was perfect!

    Julie2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We definitely enjoyed our stay here and would book here again! The view is AMAZING and close to EVERYTHING! The small downfalls were no iron and no TV however, the TV is a small issue since vacations shouldn't be spent watching TV. We appreciate allowing us to stay at your home!

Vintage Pioneer Square Loft in the heart of old Seattle. Very lively neighborhood with plenty of history. One block from the water front. Great place to enjoy the city.
Is a very large open space with a loft area. Main bed is under the loft with a separate space above.
The neighborhood is lively. Keep in mind that this is the oldest part of Seattle. It would be Some days the place would be equivalent to the Tenderloin district in SFO

Located in the heart of historic Pioneer Square, where local coffee shops and award-winning restaurants literally sit below you. Walking distance from Pike Place Market and downtown. Short cab ride to The Space Needle. 5min walk to waterfront and ferry terminal to Bainbridge & Vashon island. Guests 21yrs and up.
Respectable adult guests only. No pets, parties or smoking. Also, walking up and down the the fire escape is prohibited
I love the old brick buildings and romance of Pioneer Square. This is sort of where Seattle all began and it's so unique to any of the other Seattle neighborhoods. It used to be a more shady neighborhood but has recently become a rather shi-shi area, with several modern restaurants and apartments/condos. The vibe is adult, artistic, hip and friendly. There is a range of bars and restaurants from divey, to fancy fireplace and cocktails-- most of which boast exposed brick and high ceilings. Pioneer Square is also close to the sports stadiums so you can experience the high energy on game-days, of the game-goers. Also, near the water, it is a step away from the ferry terminals (including the Victoria Clipper-- routinely going to and from Canada for day trips). Basically, it is the greatest place to stay when visiting Seattle, whether it's your first time or routine visit.
  • Leela has s gorgeous apartment in a wonderful downtown neighborhood. It is really charming and public squares nearby are fabulous.

    Jeff2017-04-26T00:00:00Z

    Matthew2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • My boyfriend and I thought Leela's place was very lovely and cool. It's in a very interesting location and has great cafes and restaurants nearby.

    Riki2016-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • Leela was easy to communicate with and went above and beyond allowing us to drop of luggage before check in. The place is amazing with 2 queen beds and a futon bed. The condo could easily sleep 4 to 5. It was just 2 on our trip, which made this home extra spacious. There is street noise (like garbage pickup) from the alley out back but it didn't bother us at all :)

    Cheryl2018-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is SUCH an awesome space in a fantastic location. You get the perfect city experience with a trendy apartment and stepping out to all the shops, restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. We had a car but never used it as there was so much that was within walking distance.

    Anne2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Intriguing space in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square. Walkable to Pike Place Market. Two great bars just outside the door. A parking garage about 1.5 blocks north is convenient.

    Therese2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful apartment in the heart of Pioneer Square! Leela was a great host and we had a great experience. Steps from cafes, restaurants, and nightlife. Would stay there again!

    Molly2019-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Leela's place is a perfectly located gem! From the moment I made the reservation our host provided great follow up with attention to detail- definately communication was on point. My friends and I were excited to book such a cool space near Pioneer square. Leela's spot turned out to be a perfect jumping off spot for a weekend of adventures with family and friends. We got checked in and settled and had everything we needed during our stay. This place is in the middle of everything and we easily walked to Pikes Market, Chinatown and the waterfront areas. The beds were comfy, there were plenty of towels and we really enjoyed the very large and comfortable set up. It was perfect!

  • Stayed at this property for one night while on a short holiday in Seattle. The historic building and neighborhood charmed us right from the start, and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff at the bar downstairs were helpful and welcoming, and added to the enjoyability of our stay by making us feel like regulars. All in all, this was a great experience and we will hope to stay here again.

  • Very convenient location to ferry & train station. The check in with Merchants was quick, simple and friendly. The studio is cozy and provided all that was needed for my stay. Thanks!

    Heidi2017-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Convenient location- was in a fun neighborhood, walking distance to touristy areas- but not touristy which was nice. The area was more bustling on Friday night- but wasn't as loud as we were anticipating. Had no trouble falling asleep. Really neat old building- kept expecting to see a ghost or two.

    Bridget2017-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • The check in process was completely seamless and easy. The bartender downstairs greeted me upon arrival and got me all set immediately. He even offered to help me with my bags since I was on the 3rd floor. I also had a short interaction with the guest services person and she was so sweet and complimentary. The location is absolutely perfect for Seattle. It is basically half a block from Smith Tower which is an amazing happy hour and sunset destination. It is also walkable to Pike Place. The studio was clean and cozy and has a cute little view of the street. I would absolutely stay here again. An added little bonus is there is a washer/dryer that you can use which was great for me as I was passing through during a 2 week trip so washing some of my clothes was a great help!

    Melissa2018-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • This location is phenomenal! The amenities are just what you need. Keep in mind this is a busy location, so I definitely recommend earplugs and an eye mask if you are a light sleeper, but the pros FAR exceed the cons. This was a great experience and Ian and Tracy at Merchants were great resources. We loved our stay!

  • The apartment is nice, a little noisy but that’s expected when you stay downtown. The rules seemed lengthy but easy to follow. Only thing I was concerned about was the requirement to do my own dishes when there wasn’t a sponge or rag provided. Recommend this place regardless.

1 bdrm apt downtown, walking distance to stadiums, waterfront, light rail, train station, ferries & museums. Fully furnished, w/a desk, full kitchen & dining table. For parties larger than 2, the couch is super comfortable and there is a queen aerobed. In the heart of the historic International District-the vibrant Asian part of downtown, a great coffee shop, Chinese food, Poke w/Hawaiian shave ice, the best-ever boba & a vegetarian pizza parlor are basically all downstairs.
This top floor apartment has old Seattle charm, with high vaulted ceilings and exposed brick walls. The bedroom is blocked off by a shoji fan. There are a few quirks as one should expect from an old building like this (i.e. the hallway outside the apt has a leak in the ceiling, we use a cozy space heater for the living room as the central heating is loud and faulty, and sometimes you can smell cigarette smoke out in the hallways of the building because some of the other residents smoke in their units. We lived there for 2 years and LOVED it but you should know this is not some brand new condo with brand new appliances. This is a tastefully decorated inner city apartment that you can get to just about anywhere from very easily. The living room has an amazingly comfortable sectional sofa, a 60" tv and 5.1 surround sound speakers. There is a full bathroom and a full kitchen with a microwave, dishwasher, and dining room table. It's really fun to watch the action on the street below from the three big windows in the living room. There are often parades and carnivals that come right up the street with dancing dragons and martial arts performances.
The International District or 'The I.D.' is a vibrant part of Seattle. Great food is everywhere, you can walk to food and shops and public transit, and there is often something fun going on in the neighborhood!
  • This is my honest perception/experience with this place. We only stayed a night so maybe i didn’t have enough time to warm up to it, so take it with a grain of salt. The photos look much better than the actual place. It’s charming and full of artsy details, but it’s description was way over the top. The “top floor” is the 4th floor of an ancient building, which is fine if there was some upkeep to it. The hallways smelled of cigarette smoke, they were absolutely filthy, i never mind grit, and most of time will pick an eclectic neighborhood over upscale one, but I felt that price tag was way over the top for what was offered. The neighborhood is interesting, full of asian restaurants, stores, which i absolutely love, but also full of rodents, druggies, trash. It is close to the rail, pioneer square, downtown. The host communicated well, wi-fi was available, she also had a “user guide” on the coffee table (restaurant suggestions, etc.). Overall, it was okay, but much worse than i expected, and definitely not as fancy as it sounds/looks. Hope this gives a better picture of what you’re paying for.

    Maja2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Don’t judge it but the exterior and lobby when you get to the apt it’s really perfect for what you need. The location is perfect for the rail system and for my friend and I arriving at 10:30 at night the restaurant downstairs was perfect for a late night dinner and the vast selection of other restaurants walking distance is a huge plus. She also has a binder with suggestions for everything to eat and we went to a few of them and wasn’t disappointed.

  • Naomi is great. She was quick with communications. Her instructions for things were very concise and easy to follow, it just turns out I can’t read when I’m in a rush. Haha. Check in is so very easy and convenient. The place is great for local Asian eats and BOBA! Parking unfortunately is a nightmare, and this is coming from someone who’s from San Francisco. The apartment looks and feels like home, broken in and lived in. Which I love. It didn’t look or feel like a hotel room, which is the whole point of AirBnB. There’s quirks that point toward people actually putting effort into this place. It was a rainy week for us, but I was pleasantly surprised at how warm and well insulated it was. We didn’t have to use the heater. I would definitely recommend this place. And Naomi is just so wonderful!

    Renelyn2018-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Naomi is great at communicating, helping to accommodate special requests, when she can and very helpful with information and advice on restaurants, transportation, etc.. The apartment was very clean and quiet! It was nice to have access to Netflix and hulu, for a little down time. Very comfortable and good location, very close to the King street station.

  • This studio is right at the heart of downtown Seattle, within walking distance of Pikes Place, Ferries and the Stadiums. The area can be a little sketchy with many homeless camped by the building but they don’t bother you when walking the city. The room was very clean with a full kitchen and bathroom, only thing I would say is needed is cable TV or a smart tv to stream programs. Overall nice place, would definitely stay here again.

  • I didn’t get my check in code until about half an hour before check in. Every other air bnb I’ve stayed in has provided the check in code upon payment for the time I’m staying there. The rules also seem to be VERY strict. I understand wanting to maintain a safe and clean environment but there’s a fine line between being strict but friendly and just straight up rude. Wouldn’t stay here again!

    Molly2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Located in a very noisy area(helicopter, ambulances) Furniture is basic No table but no stool/chairs Only 1 towel supplied , none for the hands. Chipped paint on the Bath stub You don’t deal with the owner but with staff. We had to wait 45 minutes to receive a code to open the door and when we asked to leave the appartement 45 min after check out time, they refused. Not a friendly place at all. Not what you would expect to find on ARBNB

  • This was a last minute trip plan, me and my wife was searching for a place that was near by to areas that would be walking distance and as soon as we saw in the map what places where near by we were very pleased. We love that our Airbnb was very clean, very vibrant and colorful. We would Love to stay there again, I would highly recommend to anyone staying here.

    Marco2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a studio with a bed, a day bed, and two metal bedside tables. No actual table, desk, chairs, or anywhere to eat etc so it’s pretty stark. And don’t be frightened when you sit on the toilet...it rocks back and forth but apparently isn’t broken. The building is right next to the freeway and even with all windows closed the noise is constant until about 11pm. If it’s raining (and it IS Seattle) there is also the noise of the constant rushing of brown water down 5 stories along the overflowing gutter pipe. Also, unless you are in a vehicle, there is no way to access this property without trekking up some steep hills or a multi-level staircase from a lower street. Finally be aware that there are not many shops/grocery/markets nearby (the closest one sells moldy cheese), that it’s downtown so most things shut pretty early, and that it’s an area that has many homeless and mentally challenged folk roaming around at night. So if you’re going to stay here be safe, sane, and prepared.

    Sharrianna2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole’s place is a great studio suite in a building atop on of Seattles hills. Very clean and easy communication with entry codes. Kitchen was clean and stocked and the bathroom was very clean. The bed was very comfortable and clean. I will save this place as a go to for sure.

    Vaughn2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • After booking, I received a long message from the true owner, not the one pictured or named. There was a very long list of instructions, restrictions and potential fees. There is no help after 10pm. The floor was not cleaned as there was a pork rind and my feet were filthy after a brief walk around and housekeeping had to be send to sweep and mop it. The toilet paper had a big wet stain on it and was never replaced when I notified one of the people responsible for handling issues. There were no spare toilet paper rolls anywhere. There were food bits left in the sink drain. The smell in the building is awful but disappears when entering the room. The area is not the safest but there is an Asian grocery market and restaurants close by. There are many hills to be aware of if traveling by foot. For the value, I would not book this place again.

At the top of Pioneer Square our apartment is near Safeco and CenturyLink Stadiums, International District, Pikes Place Market, Amazon HQ and Convention Center. Near coffee shops, restaurants and nightlife. This is a great spot for anyone visiting Seattle! Check out the recommendations in our house manual - "get lost" tour & "guide to local breweries" tour. Keep in mind we are in a very lively neighborhood and you will get street noise.
Huge 1 bedroom layout with a full bathroom. A good sized kitchen with all the basics, including fresh local coffee!
Pioneer Square and the International District are vibrant and lively neighborhoods with endless choices of coffee shops, bars, restaurants, a pinball arcade bar, historical landmarks, and other activities. Our building is located right in the middle of all the action and walking distance to just about anywhere you would want to go in downtown Seattle. We are in a great location if you are looking to go to Century Link Field, Safeco Field, Experience Music Project, Seattle Center, or Lake Union. We are also only a few blocks from the Seattle Convention Center. We love the people and the bustle of our neighborhood. It's also nice to have an apartment that does not let in the noise of the city. In addition to a grocery store about a 10 min walk away there are 2 nice convenience stores across the street.

Update * Over Pass Demolition project can be loud and create parking issues. Plant filled studio apartment in historic Pioneer Square. Sun-filled apartment with soaring windows on all sides. Right downtown with bar downstairs and a freeway on-ramp on the other side ( been demolished 2 m delay!). Be prepared for nearby construction on the weekdays/nights (very unpredictable) and a loud and fun crowd on the weekends as people attend the nearby bars and the sporting events. Ear plugs provided.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove top, refrigerator and dishwasher, but the oven is out of order.

  • Great location if you are a visitor to Century Link or Safeco Field...a little noisy because of neighbourhood construction, but overall a great space.

    Mike2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! About a 5 min walk to the stadium, which was ridiculously convenient and a very welcome relief after leaving a late night show! We saved a chunk of money by not having to pay to park at the stadium or take a Lyft/Uber home. The apartment has gorgeous lighting and is decorated beautifully, including plenty of green plants that give the place a nice “feel” to it. Plenty of restaurants and shopping spots all within walking distance. Derek was spot on with communication and help with parking, etc., too!

    Michelle2018-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Location!!! This location is amazing! Especially for first timers in Seattle. Everything was great, and the bar downstairs was local and fun! Loved the bar tenders there. Derek was very responsive!! Would definitely stay again!

    Kaly2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, primarily in my case that had a temporary office only couple of blocks away. When Derek says ear plugs are provided .... do believe him, you will need them to sleep. The apartment is full of light and it is clean inside (stairs up to second floor not so, some construction going on). TV signal and internet need upgrade. Derek is great and really responsive in all communications (it couldn't be better).

    Rodolfo2018-10-06T00:00:00Z

Sit back in a designer armchair where new hardwood flooring meets an exposed brick wall of yesteryear. A modern apartment has been carved out of a vintage urban structure. It's a warm and inviting space offering a full size kitchen with a gas stove.
The apartment is in Pioneer Square, Seattle’s oldest neighborhood, beside baseball and football stadiums. The area is busiest after dark, for dancing, live music, and spicy food. Its used-book stores and antique shops are particularly good.
  • Really awesome rustic modern place, super clean with tons of amazing natural light! Parking in the street wasn’t bad at all plus is super close to everything! Would definitely stay here again✨👌🏼

  • Johns place was great and very close to great places in the city. We walked to almost everywhere so it was definitely a convenient location. Very clean and comfortable. I don't mind the city noise at night but tried the ear plugs that he has available there and worked well! Would stay there again!

John did an awesome job describing the location, answering any questions and was accommodating with the check in and check out times. • If you are attending a sporting event in Seattle, this is a great place to stay at! I've been to a few 49er's vs. Seahawk games and it was really a great experience stepping outside the front door and being at the stadium. Next time I'm visiting, I'll be staying here again.

    Fernando2013-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Loft as a truly excellent location to stay! The description says it all. The place just looks fantastic, from the fine furniture (comfy and cool), decorations (monogrammed towel), great layout (very spacious), and ambience created a luxury feel at an affordable price! In addition the Loft was just a few short minutes from the freeway adding convenience since we visited nearly every part of Seattle. While I stayed, there were two events on the field across the street and we never heard a peep out of it. Trong and his sister were great hosts, they were in contact with us before and after the stay but didn't bother us during. A++

  • It was a really good experience! My friends and I like the style of the apartment and how easy was the communication with the host. We enjoy the location and the bed.

    Silvia2019-05-12T00:00:00Z
  • Pros: Very cheap and very central. The location is super convenient! Cons: The neighborhood is very SKETCHY. A little too dangerous for our taste. It seems to be the homeless hangout. (The whole neighborhood smells like urine). The building is smelly and a little rough. Even though the apartment itself is clean, the entire experience of being inside that building adds to an unpleasant feeling. Also, the door into the apartment is old, flimsy and in need of replacement. Also, considering the cheap key pad lock, I would feel scared to sleep there at night. We totally understand that the apartment is super cheap and there's a reason for it. It's our own fault that we didn't google the neighborhood first, etc. There is nothing wrong with the apartment itself, but we just wanted to have a pleasant relaxing time in Seattle on the last day of our trip, and the neighborhood weirded us out big time. Just being inside the building gave us such a negative vibe that we got out as soon as we could and found a new place by the airport. Having said that, maybe not everyone is as delicate as us. Carol, we are sorry that we have to leave a bad review, but we just want people to know that this place is not for everyone.

  • Great location around tons of restaurants within walking distance. Easy to reach via public transportation (link light rail) from the airport. Check in was easy with the keypad, however it took two to three tries to lock/ unlock on almost every arrival and departure to and from the apartment. Otherwise, the place was great for a short trip to Seattle. The place had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Charming apt near the Stadium District, Pioneer Square, and International District. Public transportation is nearby including the King Street station, Amtrak, light rail, street car, and buses. Lots of great restaurants nearby. The apt is in an older building, not a recent high rise.
Walking distance to the Stadium District and Pioneer Square. A grocery store is blocks away with lots of restaurants and events happening in the neighborhood. Lots of public transportation options to get around on - Lightrail, Sounder Train, Amtrak, streetcar, public buses.
  • Great location that is walk-able from the stadiums. Tons of food options and a convenient nearby international grocery store.

  • Good place in a nice new building, but the area could be better. A little bit sketchy at night. Also, the air conditioner in the apartment was incredibly loud and disturbed our sleeping.

    Adam2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Nice clean modern apartment. No central air but portable ac unit been installed and works well. So issues with homeless hanging around outside the drug store which might be a issue for some guests but did not noth us.

    Brian2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • After first checking in, I was ready to book a different place. The building isn’t in a safe neighborhood, And the room didn’t even compare to the pictures that were posted in the description. After deciding to tough it out and just deal, I’ve decided that it’s a decent place for a short stay 2-3 days max. I definitely wouldn’t stay any longer. Like I said the neighborhood didn’t seem safe and we heard yelling and loud noises our entire stay. Other than that it was fine, as we weren’t in our room all the time. It was loud and the surrounding area is a little sketchy but the security into the actual building is safe and solid.

    Kerry2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Clean & comfortable.

    Colleen2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really great value and a spot on location if you want to walk to stadiums, Pioneer Square, or any number of Seattle attractions downtown. If it had a doorman or security, it would be fantastic. Unfortunately you get a congregation of vagrants collecting around the door and tailgating in, hanging out in the common spaces and sometimes making quite a mess. The building is cleaned as quickly as possible. The actual apartments are well maintained, clean and free of problems, although small. The host service was responsive to concerns and communicated well. We only got one key checking in but within 3 days we were given a second fob.

    John2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • After our first night we left the apartment and booked into a hotel for the folllowing reasons. We had a paid a premium and a pet deposit for a dog friendly place. There was a dish with pot pourri that was located lower down on the TV stand and easily accesible for our dog. Pot pourri is very toxi to animals and our dog was very sick. There were pubic hairs on the bath tub. There was hair all over the bed sheets. The were stains from cups/glasses on the night stands and counters.  The stove top was very dirty as was the inside of the oven. The drawers in the kitchen had a lot food crumbs inside. There was dust bunnies in the corners of the main living room. The overall level of cleanliness was very poor and by far the worst of any place we have stayed. Unfortunately we did not take photos and when we reached out to the host we received this response: This unit is pet friendly and as per our onsite team, the unit is clean. Not unless this you provide photo evidences of your complain an all. That's the only time we can request a refund to the accounting depratment. This is the first bad experience we have had at an Air BnB. We hope not to again but if we do then we will take photos.

Beautiful contemporary space in a historic building with elevator access. Windows line the entire apartment letting in ample natural light. Original narrow plank oak flooring in the living area and for added comfort, a carpeted bedroom. Featuring artist Gustav Klimt and chic primary color scheme with a twist.
This apartment is trendy and modern, with orchids and other flowers lining the walls. Deep royal blue and purples accent this unit, and stylish furniture will make you feel right at home! This unit is designed to be both comfortable and chic.
This apartment is located in the diverse International District, Seattle's 5th most walk-able neighborhood. A great location for foodies with 25+ restaurants within a .2 mile radius! Uwajimaya Asian Food & Gift market is just blocks away. It is just a 6 minute walk from a Light Rail station which puts the UW Campus, Capitol Hill bars & venues, Downtown Seattle & Pike Place Market, and SEATAC Airport just a train ride away. Area also offers buses, car shares, bike shares, and many other modes of transportation.
  • Nice apartment, feels new. Large living room/kitchen area with modest sized bedroom. I was there as a solo business traveler for one night and didn't use the kitchen. Short walk from the BoltBus and Amtrak, though up a very steep hill for the last block. It was stuffy when I arrived, so I opened a couple of windows, which brought in a nice breeze. Comfortable bed. No TV, so I needed to walk a few blocks to Pioneer Square to watch the Blazers playoff game that I wanted to see. Also, there's a homeless camp on the next block. It didn't negatively affect my stay, but some people might be uncomfortable walking in the area.

  • Lovely spot near the city!

  • Great place! Clean and cool, but you do have to walk up some slopes to get to it.

  • The apartment I was assigned to was swapped out from the one on the listing, but I was notified of this well in advance and the new apartment met the same specifications. Everything was as expected – very clean and plenty of space. Stocked with silverware, plates, and all the stuff you’d need for a short stay. Area is a little hilly, but there’s usually street parking available and some good restaurants nearby.

  • Seattle has steep hills. If you are walking to the unit from the train station, as we did, it's quite the uphill hike. Consider taking Uber. The unit is 1/2 block from a homeless camp, 1 block from an active fire station and backs to I-5. Nights are not particularly quiet. The unit, however, is clean and efficient.

  • Kelly's place was perfect for my short work trip. The furnishings were exactly as shown in the photos and the building was very quiet. Despite the lack of A/C and at least one day in the high 80's, I never felt over-heated. I'd happily stay here again.

  • A bit disappointed overall in this place, unfortunately probably the worst Airbnb I’ve stayed in. The apartment is in a great location near the stadiums to the south & downtown to the north. We were comfortable walking to each. It also was a new place with a nice rooftop terrace. Unfortunately, the check-in procedure is terrible. I was unsure where to park while getting the key to enter. Then I was unable to enter the building as there were some issues with the intercom. When I called the number to the office they promised someone would come let me in (never happened). Finally I sneaked in when other tenants entered & was able (by calling again) to obtain the key from the lock box. Lastly the key fob didn’t actually work to operate the elevator or the garage gate. Yuk! The apartment was nice but poorly decorated. Sparse wall hangings and no paper towels, napkins available, etc. Again, lacking basic things I’d hope for in a quality Airbnb. Finally, although the apartment had great location, be aware of a decent amount of homelessness & drug use in that particular area of Seattle, including right outside the building. Also, we appreciated the A/C unit, but it is a mobile A/C that fits into the sliding glass door (with the rest of the door hanging open). The first night we were there we were awakened by loud crashing (accentuated by the slider being open) of what was likely a garbage truck at about 5:30 am. That same morning and every other morning starting at 8:00am on the dot, it sounded like workers outside cleaning with blowers. Even with the slider closed the noise came in (on the 4th floor). Despite these issues, the space is not terrible, and I’d give it 3 Stars out of 5.

  • Incredible view from the room overlooking Seattle. We could see the stadiums and when the weather cleared we could see out across the water and see the mountains. The location was excellent, the light rail drops off right next to it from the airport and we were able to walk everywhere our whole trip. It’s about a half mile walk to the Pike Market.

    Dillon2018-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Was not expecting such great stadium/cityscape views. The service was impeccable. All staff were great and very helpful. They went above and beyond.

    Veronika2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay. The building is ideally located right next to the Link light rail station, and was clean, roomy and comfortable.

    Rachel2018-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Good stay and all as expected. Very convenient location to Pioneer Square and the stadiums. Very clean and easy check in.

    Kit2018-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Pelican Suites company did a good job with this listing/unit. Checking in was a bit of a chore. The company texts and emails asking you when you’re planning to check in and how you’re planning on paying for parking. This would be good to do at the time of booking, NOT day of/within 12 hours of check in. The only payment options are to send CC info (and pics of both sides of the card) unsecured via text or email to confirm parking (or pay a “penalty) or pay cash. There should be more payment options (Apple Pay/Cash App/Venmo) so credit card information can be kept hidden and secure. When I checked in I went to the call box to dial the office as instructed. The box had feedback and distortion so I could t hear anything, prolonging the check in process. Thankfully there were on site contacts able to come and assist. This should be addressed day of via text/email (I.e. send the code that the person will need to access the keys rather than badgering them about what time they are arriving). The unit itself was very nice, with nice views of the city. The bedroom set up is interesting as the bed is big (thankfully) but the room is not. The unit was VERY clean, and has nice comfortable furnishings. The unit is very conveniently located near mass transit Options which was very helpful to navigate the city. Additionally there are stores near by if you need anything. The only negative with the location is there are a lot of homeless people in the area. Aside from check in, I had an interesting experience with one of the on site contacts. I asked about extending my stay an extra 2 days and was declined stating they were all booked up. I then went to AirBnB (because I needed a place to stay) and the exact same unit was still being advertised there for the dates I inquired about. After booking, me extending my stay seemed to be ok but I really don’t understand why they couldn’t do that up front. Overall a great stay! Some improvements with the process could be implemented but you’ll be happy you decided to stay here.

This is one folding cot in the main hall of the Temple. You will be sharing space with others and the Buddha's. The beds are separated by Shoji screens for privacy. The kitchen and bathrooms are shared with the other guests and facility manager. The beds are set up at 8:30 p.m. and the wake up time is 7:30 a.m. so the beds are put away by 8 a.m.
The space is the main hall of a Buddhist Temple. This is the traditional way that pilgrims and travelers enjoy a peaceful nights sleep. We also now have a new shower.
We are located in the historic Seattle Chinatown. Lots of great food and entertainment. These are the streets that Bruce Lee once walked.
  • Listing description is accurate. Friendly, welcoming host, convenient location right next to a Link station. Early morning temple services do mean the cot/bedding has to be put away before 8am. Best as a minimal place to crash at the end of the night.

  • There may be a lot of rules, but they're all very simple. The location is great, and very central. All the main transportation stations are located a block or two away, including the Amtrak station. Mike, the caretaker, was very clear and concise about everything. I would definitely go with this location again if I travel to Seattle again.

  • This place is in an amazing location. Just off the link, so easy to get to from the airport. Right in the edge of Chinatown, super close to Century Field and Safeco field, and a short walk to downtown and the waterfront. Mike is an excellent host. If you're cool sleeping in a single bed, with up to 3 other people in the room with you separated by temporary screens, why not stay here? The location and price are unbeatable! Perfect for the solo traveler

    Brendan & Dana2017-09-25T00:00:00Z
  • Very friendly hosts. The location was great, right in the international district.

    Elina2015-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great shared space located in the heart of Chinatown and extremely close to transportation. We we were warmly welcomed by our host Mike who provided everything we needed including advice on where to eat and what to see around the city. Overall, we had an amazing experience staying at the temple. A word of warning for people planning to drive here, parking in this area is particularly difficult and expensive. Street parking is available for free from 8pm-8am but you will most likely find yourself paying anywhere from $10-20 for parking the rest of the day.

    Gabriel2015-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Mike and the others members of the temple was pleasants persons. It's a good place to stay when you don't have a lot of money to spend. Thanks for all

**Please read entire listing before booking - Details and Neighborhood** Unique, Pioneer Square living in a historic loft in Seattle! Beautiful 325SF private room and bathroom. Can't beat the location! Private room with a lock on the door comes with attached private bathroom, tv, arm chair, dresser, queen size bed + all the necessities. This is my home, and I live here. The overall space is 2400SF!
Historic artist space with so much character, loving kitties living in the home! This is a 2nd floor walk up with no elevator. Stairs only. Please be ok with the quirks of a 150 year old building.
In the center of Seattle's oldest neighborhood, Pioneer Square filled with trendy bars, coffee shops, vintage stores and delicious food. Please research this neighborhood and it’s homeless population in Downtown Seattle, also the general downtown area mission district. I personally don’t have issues. Minutes walking distance to Pike Place, Century Link, T Mobile Park, Occidental Park.
  • One of my favorite experiences on Airbnb! A cool classic place retrofitted into a lovely new loft. Taylor was a gracious host and very responsive. The neighborhood is a hip and upcoming part of Seattle.

    Shobeir2019-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a pleasant stay at Taylor's. the loft is beautiful and the room very spacious, in addition, it is very well located in the heart of the historic district. Taylor is nice and very discreet.

    Philippe2019-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Taylor's place is awesome (as you can see in the pictures!). It's a super cool loft style space with impeccable decor. The guest room has a separate bathroom and the bedroom is huge and comfortable. There's also 3 very cute cats living in the apartment, which made my trip complete! The location is great, very central and we were able to walk to the waterfront/Pike Place market easily. Smith Tower is right next door and offered us a great view from the top at night time. Taylor was a great host with a beautiful apartment, we hope to return if visiting Seattle again.

    Lydia2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Taylor has a very unique spot in a great location walking distance to light rail and attractions. Although, there were homeless across the street, no one messed with you. Taylor is very sweet and made you feel very welcomed during stay. Her cats were also welcoming and very cute. The room provided enough privacy and bed was comfortable. I would recommend to anyone traveling into the city. Would definitely come back and stay again in the future.

    Brandy2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location next to many good attractions, restaurants, and bars. We were able to see everything we wanted to see in a short period and enjoyed all the coffee, food, and spirits that were in close proximity to Taylor's loft. We didn't go to a game, but all stadiums were very close by if we had wanted to.

    Ross2019-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Taylor is a great host! She was fun to talk to and very friendly. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Taylor has a beautiful and stylish home! She is a warm and helpful host who knows and loves her city. We really enjoyed how close we were to everything downtown.

  • The place is stylishly decorated, the room is pretty big, and the location is perfect for walking to Pike Place / Downtown and the International District. It's across from the Mission, so there are homeless people that tend to gather across the street, but they never caused us any problems. There are cats and they are lovely. This place is clean everything we needed for our trip.

Stay right in the heart of the city in our cozy Pioneer Square loft apartment. The loft is within walking distance to Pike Place Market, stadiums, and downtown shopping district. Easily access the light-rail and bus systems. Perfect space for a couple to enjoy Seattle. Please Note: Bookings on the weekend and during the summer months may be subject to loud music from the bar on the block.
Stay in our cozy, creative, downtown loft apartment. The space can comfortably accommodate three adults. There is one double bed, as well as a pull out sofa bed. Have access to a full kitchen, as well as washer and dryer in the building.
Pioneer Square is the historical neighborhood in Seattle, centrally located between Pike Place market and the stadiums. There are plenty of coffee shops, bars, and restaurants within close proximity, as well as easy access to public transportation to access other parts of the city.
  • We had a fine 1 night stay in a lovely studio with cool vintage records that accompanied our stay. The airiness and light filled space was nostalgic. The tall windows and high ceilings and stylish details made it a cozy stay to rest and get ready to explore the city! It was very convenient and even parking was easy to find. Cheers!

  • We had a great trip and Kelly was incredibly flexible with our accommodations as our flight got in early and we wanted to drop off our luggage. The apartment is cute and stylish. It looks exactly like the photos suggest (adorable)! The area is great for those who are used to city living. Can’t wait to stay here on our next trip to Seattle!

  • A+ Location!!!!!

    Ross2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and everything in walking distance. We had everything we needed, and the apartment had lovely touches. We were staying on the weekend, and the surrounding bars can be a little noisy, but nothing that disturbed us too much.

    Karin2019-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great location if you are wanting to be in a bar district! You will hear live bands play until last call. Cleanliness was a not great, but it was alright.

    Marek2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a great stay at Kelly’s loft. It’s chic, well situated, and has great natural light! We did have some challenges with noise, but it didn’t bother us too much. If you’re a light sleeper, I’d suggest earplugs! Having the full kitchen was awesome, no TV was a big bonus for us, and the record player was a fantastic way to wind down in the evenings. The neighborhood is walkable to everything you could ever want, but easily accessed by public transit so you can get around super easily. It’s also less than a 10 minute walk to the ferry and the water taxi!

    Ann2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kelly’s place was very cute, and close to everything. We walked to Pikes Place and other main areas of Seattle. I would recommend it for your stay!

Our historic home was built in 1890. It is one of the smallest condo buildings in Downtown Seattle. It features 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, full kitchen, and living space on 1st Ave in Pioneer Square. We share our building with 5 other owners. We look out for each others' homes and communicate often. NO PARTIES! We have an entrance camera to monitor who comes and goes. Noise levels should be kept respectful at all times.
Our condo is 129 years old and features original exposed brick walls and double hung windows. Our unit faces West overlooking 1st Ave in historic Pioneer Square. The two bedrooms are cozy and inviting. Bedroom one features a queen bed, custom closet and large window looking into the building lightwell. Bedroom two features a double bed, full size dresser and closet. Bedroom two also has a large window that looks into the building lightwell. One bathroom has a full size shower/tub, toilet, vanity, and storage cabinet for your toiletries during your stay. The living room has a couch, love seat, ottoman, sitting chair, flat screen TV with local channels, an Amazon FireStick and DVD player. The kitchen is fully stocked with a full size refrigerator, stove, oven, toaster oven, dishwasher, sink, and all the utensils you should need.
The old but new Seattle! Pioneer Square is being revitalized and is growing day to day. Things you can experience only a few blocks away include sporting events, stadium tours, the underground tour, architectural walking tours, ghost tours, restaurant and food tours, the Emerald City Trolly, the Smith Tower Observation deck, and Water Taxi to Alki beach in West Seattle. Some of our favorite things to do nearby are happy hour at Elliott's on the waterfront, explore Pike Place Market (.7 miles away), attend Pioneer Square Art Walk (the first Thursday of every month), sporting events, and explore new restaurants and bars in the area.
  • Justin and Ana's place was immaculate. The decor was unbelievable, the place was so clean, and the location was amazing!

  • Great stay at a great place. Appreciated that the owners had the AC turned on and cooling the place for our arrival after a long hot day. These hosts know how to do an Airbnb!

    Teresa2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Justin and Ana’s place is absolutely amazing! As soon as we walked in we were in awe! It’s such a cozy place conveniently located close to all the tourist attractions Seattle has to offer. The whole apartment was spotless and the little touches they provided (cooking oil, travel tip book, pamphlets etc) were so useful/helpful! I will definitely be booking with them again next time I’m in Seattle.

  • This house is a fantastic place and I would like to live. And Justine&Ana are also very friendly.

  • This place was fabulous. The location was exactly as described- walkable and incredibly central. The parking was also not as terrible as I first imagined, and it was well worth the trouble to get to stay in this place. Although we didn't get the chance to converse much with Justin or Ana our brief interaction was friendly and helpful. Thank you so much for a great experience!

  • Although the apartment was very clean and modern, Seattle has a problem with letting homeless people camp out in the parks which this is next to. Dozen campsites within a block of the house. This apartment faces the highways and single pane windows there is very loud noises from the street. I had to buy and ware ear plugs. it sounds like the windows are open and it’s a very busy traffic area all night. Apparently there is no ordinance against loud mufflers in Seattle.

  • The location of the property was decent and walking distance or a cheap Uber ride to the popular areas. However, under the bridge there was some homeless encampments but it wasn’t bothersome to me. The space was clean and the remodeled kitchen/bathroom was a nice touch. All items were provided as mentioned. My issue with the space was that it had an off-putting smell that we couldn’t pin point what it was. The first night went seemingly well, however my boyfriend and I woke up with really bad back pain for the bed slipping on the ground. We lifted up the mattress and found that the slats were half broken. I contacted the host when we found out but didn’t hear from her all day. We didn’t want to go back and sleep in that situation so I contacted Airbnb and they had to attempt to reach her. After Airbnb reached her, she texted me and then said the bed was going to be fixed the following day so we had to sleep in that awful situation again. I asked if there was another property we could stay at or if she could offer us some sort of refund and she responded with there was no available properties and that she’ll get back to me with the refund by Monday. I messaged her on Tuesday and she never responded. I waited a few days before I contacted Airbnb because I wanted to give her the chance to respond. It took Airbnb to reach out to her and she only offered a small refund. This was an unacceptable service and such a disappointing Airbnb experience. I’ve been using Airbnb and this is the first time I’ve dealt with such a poor host.

  • It went here for my vacation. I had to contact the host for check in. There was no fan and the windows didn't open. I was right next to the high way and it was almost impossible to sleep. The host was sarcastic and unresponsive. I send approximately 4 hours of my time on the the phone with air bnb to get my full refund. This is by far the worst air bnb ive stayed in. Please for your sake don't book with this person. They have several listings so be warned. I %100 regret booking thus room.

    Oliver2019-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • The space came with a great kitchen that might as well be more of a model home kitchen than an actual one. Meaning I guess I was supposed to assume the kitchen was for show, not for actual use. A plastic cutting board was left in the oven. I learned this after I began preheating it for a pizza. Who puts a plastic cutting board in the oven? She is trying to charge me for this. She also tried to charge me for a blind that broke upon opening (from direct sun exposure not user error). The place was not cleaned or maintained properly, or the host was intentionally trying to get extra money out of a guest. Be cautious with booking with this host/at this property. I think she might be having a hard time paying rent on this property.

  • This place is a really good value for Seattle, especially since I visited during Bumbershoot weekend. I especially appreciated being able to take the Link train for $3 and get from the airport right to the building in ~30 minutes. The apartment is spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, and while there were some characters hanging around outside the building entrance, the building itself seems well-maintained. The neighborhood was probably the roughest I saw during my weekend in the city. Luckily, the train station is right across the street, and the building is just a couple blocks from nicer areas. The check-in process feels a little sketchy (involves sending pictures of your ID and credit card, with most info blacked out), and the form actually didn’t work for me. Luckily, the many staff members of Pelican Suites were easily reached by phone.
