Contemporary, spacious, bright and airy one-bedroom apartment located in the heart of Sunset Park, just 25 minutes from Manhattan. Unit offers newly renovate bathroom and kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Delicious ethnic food nearby. Walking distance from both a waterfront park and a hillside park with with spectacular views to the city skyline.
The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a 2 Family house. The apartment includes a full/double size bed. The designated bedroom has been converted into a walking closet and the kitchen/bedroom area are set in a open plan setup, with a fully stocked kitchen.
Sunset Park is a multicultural neighborhood known for a diverse Latino Community and "Brooklyn Chinatown". We recommend trying "Tacos El Bronco", our favorite Taco spot. Other worthy Mexican restaurants include Tacos Matamoros and Maria's Bistro (try their brunch).
  • Pretty stylish and clean space. Exceeded our expectations and would definitely book again.

  • Loren’s place is great! It is exactly as it appears in the photos. Extremely clean and organized. Has extra amenities such as a treadmill, lots of games, Netflix, and full kitchen use. It was very welcoming, safe and such an enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a place in the area and would definitely stay here again!

My house is on a quiet tree lined street only 1 block from the subway. 3 subway lines stop there. Your room comfortably sleeps 3. I'll supply you with fresh towels and sheets. Your bathroom is large and you can take a relaxing bath as well as a shower. You can relax in the backyard and have a nice bbq. Steps away from Sunset Park and trendy Industry City (IC). IC is features rooftop films, different types of cuisines for foodies, rock shows, kids entertainment, and much more.
Your bedroom is 12X12 or 144 sq. feet. It has 2 windows with shutters that look over my backyard. You have a full and twin bed. You get plenty of daylight and can see the sunset from your room. You have plenty of drawer space. You have a closet to hang things up and stow your bags in.I refinished the hardwood floors 2 years ago.
My neighborhood is pretty quiet.I'm 1 Ave away from Industry City. IC is a former shipping and warehouse complex on the Upper New York Bay waterfront. Relax in Sunset Park where you can enjoy breathtaking, unobstructed views of the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan. There's a Bowling Alley at the top of my block where you can have fun bowling and drinking an adult beverage or two. 2 blocks from Green-Wood Cemetery (a National Historic Landmark), We have pizza, dinners, Chinese and Spanish, Turkish and Japanese restaurants all within a few blocks. If you get hungry late at night, there's always some place open to eat. And there's always the coffee and bagel shops for the morning. Shopping in Downtown Brooklyn is only 1 stop away at Atlantic Avenue/Barclays Center.
  • Skip is a very nice host, the best I can image for my first airbnb experience. He is not only the host of his house but also a host for the NYC to me. His house is great, and I feel so warm when meeting his cats and every decoration in his house. You can know exactly everything about the house from the description. Great time stay with Skip.

    Lucy2014-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Skip is awesome, he saved our trip because we had to stay three more days in NY because a big storm and his house was the perfect place to stay the extra days. He has two cats and both are cute. Our bedroom and all the house always stayed nice and warm. His house is just one block away from the subway, so that was great too.

    Memo2018-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • Skip was an incredible host and his home is a great place to stay in Brooklyn. He was very flexible and accommodating with storing my baggage, and the location is literally 50m from the express D train so access to the city was easy. Would definitely stay here again!

    Mark2016-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed meeting Skip and his two cats (the kitties were very friendly)! The room is exactly what I expected from the description and was convenient to my event. The house is 2 blocks away from the subway and a straight shot into Manhattan. I would definitely stay here again!

  • Very nice, affordable place in Brooklyn. Skip is a great host.

    Kaspar2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Skippy is such a considerate and warm-hearted person. He has provided much more than we could expect. His house is warm and cozy, which is very near to the subway station. It is quite convenient to reach anywhere in NY. Hope have another chance to stay there.

    亚萍2015-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Skippy is really awesome, great, caring and the best host ever. I stayed with my mom n sister there. We feel so welcome since day 1 we met skippy. Help us with our luggage. Then help us get the metro card. And even he help us by buying our left metro card that have 4 days left. He is really helpful for everything while we stay. He lend us his glove , hat, scraf, guide book just to make sure we stay warm , healthy and happy. The bed room is great. Large n comfort bed. Clean room. Nice heater in room while its really freezing outside. Bathroom is good too with hot water. We got towel as complimentary. And location is perfect.. Its really close to subway that make our life so much easier in NY. Just 5 mins walk from house to subway. And really easy to get to manhattan such time square, statue of liberty or whatever u name it.What a perfect location. And one more good things is the cuty cleopatra cats that really nice and make u feel more at home.. So overall, we really enjoy to stay there. And absolutely we ll stay there if we come back to NY. Give score AAA for overall for skippy place.Thank you too much skippy for all your help and care. Please come to indonesia and see ya..

Apartment is decorated to be cozy and comfortable. Very quiet and very relaxed. Feel free to cook in the kitchen, relax and watch Netflix in the bedroom. I have plenty of yoga mats for a meditative stretch. Room has a big window. 100 sq ft. Full bed, a dresser, and a closet. 10 min walk from the D,N,R 36 Street stop in Sunset Park. A lot of amazing Mexican food in the area. Grocery stores, bodegas, taco trucks, laundromat one block away. 10 blocks away from a gay bar!!!! It's Brooklyn!!!
Cute little artists' apartment. This is a three bedroom apartment. Two roommates also in the other two rooms. Aaron is 31, works as a personal assistant and is in school to become a doctor, and is never home because he also travels all the time. Very easy going. Beer connoisseur. Trenton is 27 and works a full time job in Media. You will never even know he is here, thus the life of New York. Very down to Earth and relaxed even though his schedule is busier than most. We never bring the party home. Schedules in this apartment have never lined up so you never know who has to work early or who is sleeping. You don't have to tiptoe around, but no raves or music blasting in the night. Two of the best cats in the world live here. So don't be allergic! They are so nice, they do not bite or scratch. And they love to be played with.
This is more of a residential neighborhood. Of course it sounds like a city in the daytime but it is very quiet at night. It is also a very safe neighborhood. Lots of families. A beautiful park with spectacular views only 2 blocks away. Mostly Mexican so amazing Mexican food all over the place. Best taco truck in the city is only 3 blocks away toward the train.
  • Close to subway station, Lovely cats, private zone. We love it!

    Arphanan2019-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • The place was cute and cozy. About 10 minutes away from the subway. The cats MUST. BE. PET. But it's totally worth it because they are adorable. A couple of points: the door has a lock but no key, so don't lock it if there's no one inside and the window behind the bed is broken and popped up with a fan; it stays put most of the time but falls inside if there's too much wind.

    Ghazia2019-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Aaron was made my check-in easy. I enjoyed my stay and would stay again. It was quiet and comfortable. Convenient to the subway. Great value. Thank you Araon!

  • Nice host! Easy to communicate with

    Milin2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was perfect for me, being a solo traveller. Close enough to the subway and there was no specific curfew, as long as you’re quiet and respecting of the hours the other two roommates have. I would stay again, especially to see the two cats again. They were my favorite part of my stay.

    Tatiana2018-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very Accommodating Host. Super Comfy Bed. A Cat Lovers Dream!

    Mike2018-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great value stay. Place was fine, area was OK - not much happening there but Industry City (10 mins walk) is super nice and have everything (foods, beers, shops, distillery - beers, ginger ale, craft sake, play arcade, coffee shops, innovation hub, specialty shops, design firm, even co-working space) with cool design concept. And the cats are very friendly, if not needy for pats :) Aaron was not around when we were there but communication was great, no issues.

  • This is a lovely place to stay! I felt very safe there, even though I was traveling solo. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the space, and the stylish touches. Very thoughtful amenities everywhere. You can tell Jim and Barbara put a lot of care into the space.

    Raven2019-08-14T00:00:00Z

  • A pleasant stay in a very clean, attractive and brightly lit unit with metro access nearby. This was my first AirBnB experience and I'm sold, will be looking to do this again next time I'm in NYC.

    Kevin2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great Hosts! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay close to Manhattan without all the downtown craziness. Parking on street easily accessible which was such a relief! Thanks Jim & Barbara

  • An amazing space! The place was beautifully decorated and spotless. It was conveniently located. We enjoyed our time there. Thank you Barbara and Jim!

    Marcella2019-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jim and Barbara were great host! It was a such a beautiful home in a really good neighborhood. It was conveniently placed that we didn't have to drive at all to get what we needed! The furthest we had to walk was 15 minutes to get to a store that had something we needed. And we only had the pleasure of meeting Jim, but he went above and beyond helping me and my friend navigate our way around the city to get to our concert! If you're ever staying in new york I 100% recommend Jim and Barbara! It was my first time in the city and this airbnb made a lasting impression. I'm planning on coming back in September and i'm hoping this home will be available.

The subway is just around the corner with at least 2 express trains that brings you in 25-30 to Times Square. This room is in an avenue. Maybe a little noisy for some SensitiveSleepe
If you come to tour in the city, or come to do an internship at the hospitals or work outdoor this place is perfect for you. It's quiet, you will have a lot of privacy.. And/or you can share with 1 or 2 more guests that may be in the other room. ESTER WILL BE THE ONE EMAILING, TEXT MESSAGING, PHONE CALLING MOST OF THE TIME.. NORMA WILL BE CLEANING AND LUIS ALWAYS AROUND COLLECTING G THE TRASH AND/OR ARRANGING THINGS.
Sunset Park is one of Brooklyn’s most diverse neighborhoods, where you will find brownstones, Brooklyn’s largest Chinese community, vast Latin American culture, and some cheap rent. Sunset Park is a great piece of land with beautiful views of Manhattan, downtown Brooklyn, and even Staten Island. The neighborhood stretches south from 15th Street at the edge of Park Slope and then runs north to 65th Street. It is bordered by Bay Bridge. Transportation is great in the area, as the neighborhood can be accessed by subway and six bus lines. hopping in Sunset Park is also ethnic. Fifth Avenue is filled with Latin American grocery stores and markets, while Eighth Avenue is the main are for Brooklyn’s Chinatown. Stock up on paper lanterns and every Chinese ingredient imaginable. The main draw of the neighborhood is the namesake park that offers stunning views of the Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan skyline, Staten Island, and New Jersey. There is a large playground and a popular public swimming pool.
  • Norma, Ester and Luis all seem like great, kind people. They really try to make you feel at home and are very warm and welcoming. They keep the space tidy, they were responsive, and they try their best to mediate between guests. It's also very cheap, and I enjoyed the location. That said, the layout of this airbnb is just a recipe for trouble. putting 4 airbnb guests in a 3 bedroom is just too many, and there are safety issues. There are not one way locks on the door, and my first week there I found a copy set of keys that opened my bedroom door on the dining room table where anyone could grab them. There was construction both outside and in the building, which prevented me from sleeping some nights. The space was nice, but it's just too cramped. I'd say for a weekend or so you'd be fine here, but for a long term stay it's just a little stressful.

    Sam2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is really close to 36th street station, 1 min walking distance. The house is always clean, and there is a girl that goes every Thursday to clean and tide the place. I liked the place, even though it's 35-40 mins away from the Midtown.

    Julio2017-07-01T00:00:00Z

  • Very clean place, easy to get around defenitly would rebook when i return very good service!

    Dany2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • For the price, this is about as expected. The room is right next to a busy street, so it's very noisy. The room is also very plain and the beds are not the most comfortable. However, the apartment is clean, and Norma was very accommodating. Good location near the subway, easy train ride to Manhattan. Hard to beat the price for NYC!

  • This was my first time in NY and first time using Airbnb . I was traveling for business so after reading the reviews I figured this place would be ok bc I wouldn’t be there long. When the WiFi didn’t work I said “ ok no biggie I can do other things” but then the power went out the first night I was there. Being in a dark room in New York not fun AND I was unable to finish prepping for my event. The power did come back on after about 3 hrs but went out again that morning as I was ironing my suit! I tried to contact the host after arriving to my event and she accused me of using too much electricity?! How!? What?! I had a lamp and the AC unit going that was it!!! That morning was just the AC and the iron! On my third day when the power went out around 3am and I woke up coughing and having trouble breathing I decided to just sleep at the airport. I sent the host messages and didn’t get a response until days later. I’m thankful Airbnb stepped in to compensate me because the host was completely unwilling. I personally would NOT stay here again. But I mean if you don’t need power it is in a good location close to the subway and buses .

  • It’s very hard to add to the other reviews! My stay was 5 Stars! You can’t say much more than that!! Patricia & her Co-Host Cherise should be what all Airbnb’s Host(s) should model after. Hence, assuming, you also like cats! If you have stayed at other Airbnb’s, you only need to read a few reviews to see that this place is of gold standard. It doesn’t get much better than this. I drove and didn’t have a problem parking Friday-Sunday. I definitely recommend staying there and taking the time to observe the incredible artwork both Hosts’ created.

    Darryl2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my very first Airbnb and also my first trip to NYC and it went better than I hoped for. Cherisse and Patricia are very talented and knowledgable artists who treated me more like a friend than a guest. Plus there home is close to the subway and filled with amazing artwork that they both created and it's quite cozy and clean too.

    Gabriella2019-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay but finding parking too some time.

    Brad2018-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • I just want to say a BIG thank you to Patricia and Cherisse. My stay here was more than great, thanks to them I felt at home. Patricia speaks very good French and can help you with many things. In addition, they are superb artist, and they make beautiful paintings. Also, Cherisse is a Chef who makes splendid breakfasts always different and delicious. They have been lovely with me, they are fun and make you comfortable as you arrive, I highly recommend coming to their place. Their apartment is very well located, very comfortable, very well decorated and very clean (clean enough to eat on the floor) and decorated with beautiful artworks made by them. The cats are very cute, super nice. In short, two great people, thank you for your hospitality, it will not be forgotten, thank you for your kindness and surly I will come back with great delight. What a pleasure to meet people like them. I love New York! J'aime New York!

    Sylvain2019-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Patricia and Cherisee 's home. They are quick to respond and were very hospitable towards me. Excellent hosts! House was clean and decorated nicely. The fresh flowers in my room was a pleasant surprise. Location is great, just under 10 minutes walk from the subway. Direct train (N or D) to Manhattan. Wish that I could have spent more days in their home. I highly recommend this place. Excellent value for money. Thank you very much!

    Pearly2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia and Cherisse were great hostesses. Both are talented artists and meeting people into the arts was great. Cherisse is a great cook, and she went out of her way to help me and make me feel at home. Actually, I felt so at home that being away on business became much more enjoyable. There is a laundromat just downstairs and less than half a block away that was clean and fast. The cats were very quiet and chill, so anyone who likes cats should enjoy spending time with them. They don't wake you up of the night or make any noise (I can't remember hearing a meow) but they are happy to get attention, too. I would say the cats are perfectly behaved! The room was comfortable and calming, and the neighborhood was very safe with foot traffic, so even at night I felt okay walking alone to the metro. I slept well and was able to work a full schedule, but it would have been a great place to stay at if I were on vacation, too, because it's very comfortable. I hope to stay here again!

  • Lovely home with lovely hosts. A very comfortable place.

    Vicki2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia and Cherisse' s place is lovely, well decorated, clean and the bedding is comfortable. I slept every well every night and woke up to coffee and pastry prepared by my wonderful host. The apartment is also conveniently located near an express train station. If you prefer a home away from home and nice hospitality, this is a great place to stay. Kindly note that the checkin time is after 3pm, it's important to observe this rule!

  • I liked the place and it was clean. Magdalena was super responsive and she accommodated my early check in time as well. This place is definitely worth the money.

  • Was a good room and I didn’t have a problem with any noise, I could hear people come and go but it was quite a peaceful room! Sunset park is a nice walk, the host responded quickly to everything.

  • All good, good price/quality ratio. Nice neighborhood and close to subway 36th station in Brooklyn

  • This is my second time staying in Magdalena's place in the same month; I am just adding to my first review that this house is very quiet and all guests are participating in making it one of the best Airbnb house. Some guests mentioned in their reviews the hot water problem in the shower, this problem is no longer exist because I found the cause of the problem and fixed it in less than 15 minutes. The hot and cold water mixer needed proper adjustment.

    Omer2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent stay here as everything was prepared as expected. Close to the D, N and R train and many dining options around especially on a cheaper budget. The apartment is extremely quiet and the host was very responsive and was kind enough to check in during the week to ensure I was enjoying my stay. Thank you Magdalena!

    Patrick2019-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Magdalena’s place was very clean and well maintained. A cleaning lady comes in daily to clean the rooms once you check out as well as the common areas. The subway was a little too far for me personally as a solo female traveler, it’s on a Main Street and felt a little sketchy at night for me personally, but Magdalena’s block felt very safe and was very beautiful. Was about a 10-13 minute walk from 36th st station. The bed was small as was the room. Had a small desk and a dresser type furniture with slots to store items/small closet. Portable Heater was provided which was a nice touch as it was a cold night. The bed was a little uncomfortable as it didn’t seem to be on a leveled surface/bed frame and kept trying to balance/ was moving through the night. The only thing that I don’t recall reading in the description, was that the room isn’t completely private from noise. One of the walls (wall entrance where door is) seems to be made from sliding closet doors that have been bolted shut, and there’s an open space on top of those doors that lead into the rest of the house/hallway. It’s covered with a sliding curtain. You can’t see out or in because it’s up high, but can hear everything and everyone coming in and out all night(they can hear you). The house Has various rooms rented for air bnb. The open space is as wide as the room by about 3ft from the ceiling to where it ends. The room is okay for what you pay for. Felt like a hostel experience with a semi-private room. Wasn’t bad but I personally wish that was in the description prior to booking. Was an easy check in process, lock box is right outside main door. Restroom and kitchen clean. Other travelers kept to themselves. It’s a good room if you’re just looking to crash and will be out and about during most of your stay. I still gave this rating 5 stars because the place was clean and easy to get into, and had good communication with host and she took me only a few hours before I checked in which I was grateful for. Love and blessings to you!

  • Nice, cosy place close to sunset park! Anna was very welcoming.

  • Anna was very communicative, and I had no trouble checking in or out. The apartment was very conveniently located for me, and the neighborhood was nice as well, with lots of corner stores and inexpensive but tasty restaurants! The apartment was clean, tidy, and quiet -- I'm used to more noise from neighbors or outside keeping me awake when I visit New York City, but not here! I'd definitely stay here again.

  • Patricia and Cherisse were WONDERFUL!! My first experience in Brooklyn was nothing short of amazing. I’ll definitely be back! ❤️

    Veronica2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • I hardly speak English. However, thanks to the generous hospitality of the hosts, Cherisse and Patricia, I was able to travel alone in the NY. In particular, Cherisse cared about my physical condition even when it was hard for a while after I arrived. I strongly recommend this room to everyone. Because their room is neatly organized. The space is designed by wonderful art, fresh flowers, and indirect lighting. When you come back tired from sightseeing, you will be very relieved. The bed was also prepared every night, and I was able to sleep comfortably. Cats are also friendly. In addition, Cherisse performed wonderful breakfast, brunch and dinner. This has helped me a lot. The dish she made was more delicious than anything I ate in NY. No.1! Besides, it was a fun and important time to me to watch her cooking process by side, chat while eating, and dance in Tunisia. Cherisse and Patricia are cherming and interesting hosts. I was really lucky to be involved with them. Cherisse was entertained with food and table setting like a 5 star hotel. Patricia showed me the recommended sightseeing spots. They strive to entertain us where we can't see. I appreciate them not only for meeting them, but also for meeting with Cherisse's friend Lucianne and other wonderful guests. I really wanted to have a conversation with hosts more, but I couldn't because of to lack my English ability. My ugly English may have been stressful for them . But they listened my talk patiently. Thank you for their kindness. I want to study English and meet them again so that I can communicate smoothly.   フィードバックを送信 履歴 保存済み コミュニティ

  • Cherisse & Patricia’s place is fabulous, all well-thought and sparkling clean, fresh flowers as well as all necessary amenities were present :) the host (Cherisse) is very nice person, great hospitality and plenty of local tips on food (restaurants) and places to go (sightseeing, shopping, art watching, parks, etc), and great conversation also, she is available 24/7 and ready to help. The room is very cosy, mattress & sheets (blanket) are beyond comfortable. Cats are also very welcoming still not bothering at all. The building is quiet. The neighborhood is Mexican, safe though. Best tacos. Close to train station (walking), 20-30 minutes to Times Square, 10 minutes to Manhattan, close enough to Brooklyn Bridge (by train). I had wonderful time there and enjoyed staying at Patricia & Cherisse place very much, would definitely recommend staying there to other travelers.

  • Like be at home!! Very vibrant area with access to the subway system. You can taste local multicultural food, amazing coffee, handicraft beer and visit great parks around. I shared a lot of great moment with Patricia, I’ll love to come back ASAP. Hope many people can visit NY and stay at Patricia’s apartment. All the best, Alán

  • Everything you see in the pictures and description is what you get. The place is extremely clean and tidy. I did not get to meet Patricia but Cherise (co-host) was absolutely wonderful. She was very helpful especially with the check-in. My stay with them was perfect and there is nothing I can think of that was less than perfect.

  • I looked through about 500 different housings in The Five Boroughs before I finally found this one and I’m glad I took the time because it was worth every penny. We had a great stay! It had everything you could possibly need. We had two meals at home every day and the place had all the amenities necessary. We accidentally set off the smoke detector and made a little mess when we tried to take it down (Swedish style), but Men Yee was very understanding and helped us figure out to handle if it would ever happen again. She dropped by with extra sheets quick the next morning when we asked for it and was very quick to respond to any questions and there were little thoughtful details that made the place extra worth the penny such as toothpaste and toothbrushes for the forgetful traveler and brochures about what to do in Brooklyn. The coffee at Food Universe two blocks down for 99 cents is great by the way. I’d stay at Men Yee’s again anytime!

  • I love the cleanliness right when I walked in. Appreciate her quick responses and very accommodating to her guests. Amazing in every way! Truly 5 Stars rating. Thanks so much for everything! You guys are amazing hosts!

  • Great stay!

    Mauro2019-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • As a Californian seeing the tall narrow buildings of Brooklyn was daunting.and seeing the location on busy 3rd str, had me doubting my choice until I go to the door. Men Yee was excellent at sending me all the info I would need the day before I arrived and her codes for the front entrance and the apt was easy to follow. Her apt was awesome. All done up in white, it was modern and welcoming. Upon entering amen Yee had a white board welcoming me with little helpful notes. Around the house were flyers and booklets for the trains, buses and attractions. That was very helpful. At select spots she had cute frames with instructions and rules of the house. Added to that were the amenities of plates, cookware, silverware, and offering toothpaste, toothbrushes, providing all cleaning supplies, and plentiful napkins, toilet paper and trash bags. White towels , white bedding and white wooden hangars completed the picture perfect room.and were very comforting. Ac and heat provided in each room, with remotes on the wall. She also had a draw full of board games and the wii system. TV was clear and great picture. Loved the little pot plants placed around the house. In the apartment was a fridge freezer, microwave, great stove and oven and toaster oven. Really awesome apartment. There were only 2 negatives one was the traffic noise that can be overlooked.as NY city vibe. The other was the fire alarm going off everyday if we turned the stove on . I think it needs to be moved and that will be resolved. . Men Yee was very quick to respond to any question or concern I had. It was a wonderful apartment to stay in , super clean and comfy.

    Razina2017-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely apartment and fabulous host!! Quick responses and gave lots of useful info. The apartment had everything we needed and was very clean. The bed is especially comfy! The only downside was the location as there wasnt much around such as food places and shops, without at least a 10 minute walk. And the noise from the high way is quite loud but we were too tired for it to even bother us! So did not lessen our amazing stay :). Thank you!

    Gillian-Claire2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The best choice we could ever make!! Cozy and beautiful place, very clean and with all the attention we needed from the hostess. Close to subway right to Manhattan!!

  • Staying at Men Yee's was absolutelly perfect. Comunication with her was easy and she responded really fast. Place was clean, just like on picture. The apartment is about 5 minutes to subway, location is very good, we were in Manhattan in 30 minutes, which is very good for such a big city as New York. I'm sure that once I'll come back to NYC, I will choose Men Yee's apartment again. I totally recomend this place. :-)

    Angelika2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as pictured. The space is clean, cozy, stylish, and has most amenities you need! It is located just a short walk from the subway(R & N trains) which was very convenient. The only thing I would say about my stay was that Men Yee did not respond to my messages at all. Other than that I had a nice stay.

  • Jason's apartment was perfect for our stay in the city, The place is very safe with a key fob for entry into the building, with an additional key to enter the apartment, and lastly, another key to lock your private room when you are out exploring NYC. The subway is a short walk from the apartment which added to the convenience of the apartment location. Check in was very easy. The apartment is modern with a spacious & clean bathroom. We only saw the other guests in passing but both couples were friendly. We would recommend Jason's Air BNB for your stay!

  • Such a wonderful experience booking with Jerry. After a massive conflict with a previous Airbnb host which resulted in the reservation being cancelled, Jerry was there to save the day. His immediate response time was very much appreciated and we were able to book our replacement reservation within the half hour. Thank you so very much Jerry. Your place was perfect, and your hospitality will not be forgotten.

  • Karen's home is perfectly situated in Brooklyn in what seems to be a very family oriented area. My room here feels like a home away from home and the perfect retreat after a long day. I would highly recommend this place to anyone.

  • Karen's place is simply beautiful. She is also lovely and hospitable. We loved that we were close to the subway and all of the food options around. Karen is also an artist and we loved seeing her art through out the house. I would highly recommend staying at Karen's place.

  • I had the most wonderful stay at Karen's and Doug's house. They made me feel very welcome, were really helpful and we had great conversations. All in all, the kindest host one can imagine! Despite the sometimes annoying weather conditions (I stayed for 8 weeks during winter/spring), there was no reason to despair: The room is spacious, clean and bright, as well as warm, with a nice view to the quiet backyard, and the express train stop to Manhattan is just a stone's throw. One also should not skip exploring the nearby neighborhood by foot. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get to know true New Yorkers!

  • Karen's place is lovely, and it was quite a clean and beautiful home. I recommend her place particularly for individuals in town for work. This is a great location for individuals looking to commute to downtown Brooklyn, Dumbo, and Lower Manhattan. She lives in a beautiful quiet neighborhood for running in the morning, and is around the corner from a few very nice and affordable Mexican-American pubs. Given there's only one nearby subway line, commuting into certain neighborhoods, such as Williamsburg, may be a bit tougher - but given its proximity to major throughways, taxis, Lyft, and Uber are all easily accessible, quick, and relatively affordable. Unfortunately I was unable to talk much with the hosts during my stay, but when we did they were incredibly helpful and genuine.

  • Spacious room with specious closet, large window looking out to the backyard. The entire house is clean, spacious and charming. Close to the subway, Industry city, and the parks. When I'm in NYC, I don't want to stay anywhere else. Can't recommend enough.

Welcome to Sunset Park, Brooklyn! You will be staying in a private 2 bedroom apartment in a pre-war townhouse on the first floor. It is easily accessible by public transportation and there is street parking available. The closest train station is 3 blocks away and is only 1/2 block to Sunset Park. It is a 30 minute train ride to Manhattan. It is a legal Airbnb in NY since my husband and I live downstairs. Please let us know if you have any questions! We are very responsive to your needs.
You will be staying at the apartment on the first floor. You will have the whole floor. You will go up the stairs to the front door of the townhouse. There will be a lockbox on the left of the door. You will receive the access code the day before your arrival. You will receive keys to the front door of the townhouse and the two entrances to the apartment. The first door on the left goes to the master bedroom and the second door down the hall is the main entrance to the apartment. There are two bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, and a bathroom available for your private use. There are 3 beds available: 1 queen size bed in the master bedroom, 1 full size bed in the adjoining bedroom, and a futon in the living room. We will set up all the beds before your arrival. Feel free to use any of the items in any of the rooms. In the kitchen, you will find everything you will need to make a home cooked meal. There is also a stove, microwave, K-cup machine, George Foreman grill, waffle maker, toaster, and kettle for your use. Coffee and tea are provided. In the living room, there are games, books, and magazines available for your use. Feel free to take the magazines but please do not take the books. There is also Netflix via Amazon Firestick, DVDs, and Nintendo Wii system available for your entertainment in the living room.
The neighborhood is very safe and there are many restaurants on 4th or 5th Avenue. Sunset Park is a 1/2 block away if you want to go for a walk or jog. Brooklyn is a great place to relax and retreat away from Manhattan.
  • Great location, 2 min walk to the Metro. 2 private rooms with doors. Hang up closets in both rooms. Good kitchen with plenty of dishes, cutlery, knives, large fridge, freezer etc. Netflix included with convenient pull-out couch in front of the TV. 2 good working AC’s. Prompt, friendly and responsive hosts. Would definitely recommend. Was perfect for our family of 5. Note: just in case you’re not used to that type of bathtub tap; in order to make the water come out of the overhead shower, pull the metal ring around the opening of the tap downwards. Might save u from having to ask the host :)

Our comfortable two bedroom apartment is just located next to Sunset Park in Brooklyn. You can get great view of Manhattan, New Jersey and of course Sunset. A few blocks to 36th Train Terminal for N/D/R Trains. The room is nice for One People..Express Trains in Brooklyn which could bring you to Manhattan within 20mins. But you have to clean up once the kitchen is used. We would always come to the apartment to check if you have any problem(You have your private,we only check if you ask for!)
My apartment is aroud the sunset park, take 3-5mins walk to the park.
  • Everything was great for us, very good value for money, great stay not far from Manhattan. Nice park nearby. Feel safe to walk in the area (we usually walked to supermarket near 8-9 pm). Thank you, Sky, for prompt replies to any questions. Hope to stay here again one day.

  • Super cheap listing for the NYC area. I have stayed in the NYC area In Airbnb ‘s about a total of 6 months over the last couple years and this is by far the worst airbnb experience I have had . Although cheap and highly affordable ( which is why we did not move rentals) this listing went below expectations. We did not expect luxury but we did expect the shower and drain to work properly and for it to be bug free. Twice I saw bugs in the kitchen area. The beds are also hard as rocks . Overall, this place provided us a place to sleep but little else . This place needs an overhaul before guests stay again. I will not stay here again.

    Jessica2018-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • The price for this house is consider cheap but it is not located in the manhattan area. Its a walking distance to the nearest metro station which is around 800m. You also can take bus to go to the metro station. Sky allow me to check in earlier to his house & i really appreciate it!

  • We love AirBnB's because they are a unique flavour of the area you are visiting. This place was a true slice of Brooklyn and I loved being a part of such a vibrant community. The place was clean and in a very safe neighbourhood. Lots of ammenities close by and the subway was just about 800 meters away. It is a VERY noisy neighbourhood....well into the wee small hours...with people and traffic. Great place to stay to get a real NY vibe.

    Holly2018-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place is awesome in terms of cleanliness. Sky is very responsive and he made us feel like home. He has arranged for every little details amenities that you may need during your stay. Loved it and highly recommend it.

    Sandeep2017-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • The price reflects what you get. There are loud noises into the late hours of the night (buses, bachata, you name it), every morning the neighbors cooking wafts in (and it doesn’t smell like a 4 star restaurant if you know what I mean), and to top it off the wall outlet electrocuted my charger (which is now burnt). However, it was cheap and close to the subway. So if you can overlook those other things and aren’t afraid of being in a cultured part of town, this apartment is for you.

    Sierra2018-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • Sky made the stay great! He always responded in about 5 minutes to any questions we had and was always very kind. The apartment was easy to get to from the train and parking our car was pretty easy. The apartment was also very clean and had all the amenities we needed.

Our gorgeous apartment is just two blocks away from Sunset Park, arguably the most beautiful park in New York. It's a big call, but I'm making it. We are three working professionals, me and two of the most lovely guys, and all are welcome in our home!
The bedroom has a full-sized firm mattress on a storage bed, with three shelves in the base. There is a side table with drawer, and a bamboo hanging rack with wooden coat hangers. The living room has a television, and the kitchen has stainless steel appliances, coffee maker, microwave, oven, blender, toaster and other amenities. There is a washer and drier in the apartment.
The neighborhood is Spanish and amazing. It's gentrifying rapidly, but it's still very much a Little Central America!
  • This is the 3rd time we have stayed in Kirstie's apartment. She is a delightful person and a wonderful host. We feel very comfortable there. We visit Brooklyn often and hope that it will always be available when we're in the area.

  • Ethnic interesting neighborhood

    Philippe2017-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Kirstie’s place for close to 3 weeks and absolutely loved it. It’s a convenient 5 minutes walk to the subway (45 St is the nearest station, with R trains running). I was in town for a film festival and travelled to the city often, I didn’t mind the travel time that mostly varied between 40 Mins to an hour depending to where I was headed. The room is cosy and the bed is incredibly comfortable (good for solo travellers or couples). It’s located beside a highway and there’s a bar downstairs but the sounds never bothered me. My favourite part of her apartment probably was her fully-furnished kitchen which I made a lot of meals in. For fellow foodies who enjoy cooking, it has everything you could possibly need - toaster, blender, coffee machine, oven and microwave. Along with spices and other essential cooking condiments. Her living space is very comfortable and tastefully designed in an industrial chic style. The neighbourhood is a quiet one but still felt relatively safe even when I got back past midnight. There is a mid size supermarket just down the street. It’s also walking distance to Sunset Park and a great street of Mexican (check out Tacos Matamoros) and Asian food just three streets down. Besides the amazing apartment, Kirstie was a great host. She was very responsive, friendly and helpful before and during the stay. It made the stay all the more comfortable. Thank you Kirstie for the great time!

    Judith2018-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Kirstie's place was comfortable and very pleasant. The apartment is lovely. We had the use of the kitchen which was so helpful. We relaxed in the living room which was very nice. Unique apartment with no neighbors in bustling area by day (super quiet at night.) 0.1 miles to main entrance to Industry City. 0.2 miles to express and local subway service. 0.2 miles to taxi/car service stand. 0.2 miles to Citibike (36th st/2nd ave). 0.4 miles to NETS training center. 1.6 miles to NYC ferry service at 111 58th Street. 2.6 miles or 10 min express train stop to Barclay Center. 4.6 miles or 35 min train ride to World Trade Center. 5.6 miles or 38 min train ride to Williamsburg.
Only available for share (meaning, you share with me - you will not be sharing with anyone outside your party). I am making improvements to the place each month in order to accommodate more guests. Details: Neighbor-free (so play your music as loud as you want.) Completely private. Easy driving to everywhere. Free parking in front and free and paid parking under highway overpass. Public transportation to all five boroughs on corner. I challenge you to find a place like this in Brooklyn. Often have photo/video shoots going on here. Mi casa, su casa. Just replace my booze if you drink them. Apart from the liquor, no souvenirs, please. Mi stuff, not su stuff. hehe Both myself and a list of trusted folks (I will provide it) who live nearby are available in case of emergencies. 20 places to eat within three block radius. Costco nearby. Whole Foods within 1.5 miles. Trader Joe's within 2.5 miles. Industry City one avenue away (lots of events/fashion shows/shops.) Two hospitals within one and two miles respectively. Lots of local car service companies AND a car service stand on corner. Local park within a block. Sunset Park & Public Pool half mile away. Unfortunately, New York law only allows me to share at this time.

  • I had a great time staying with William over the last two nights. First of all, William is a gracious and helpful host who made sure I had everything I needed to be comfortable. He was also quick to respond to communications and flexible both in terms of check in and check out. Secondly, the apartment is cool, a chill hideaway in a characterful neighborhood in Brooklyn, and very, very close to the subway system. Third, William is a lifelong Brooklynite and New Yorker and has good knowledge of both what's going on now and what has happened over time. It was enjoyable talking to him. Thanks for a great time!

  • Will was an awesome host! It's not a flashy or extravagant apartment, but it's very comfortable. Make sure to read the description because it is only couches and air mattresses available. The location is great! It is a 1 minute walk to the train and it's one stop away from Barclay's Center. Good food places around as well. If you're looking for a simple, comfortable place to stay at a reasonable price, Will's apartment is perfect. Great location, comfortable couch, and great host! His dog is also amazing! We booked last minute on a busy weekend, so the price seemed a little steep. However, our options were limited, so it was definitely worth it!

  • From the start, the host was great with communication. You can expect quick replies to your questions and messages. He had outstanding hospitality, checked in on us to offer us places to go and sights to see. He had everything neat and organized for us. If you want to know more about the local culture, food, and history he is more than happy to share that with you. There were some problems on my end and he was completely understanding. The place itself is very nice, and the host made sure that it was clean. He was very personable and easy to talk to. Expect nothing less than great from him. Very glad about my choice!

  • William was very responsive. He's a natural with people so he will make your stay comfortable. It was nice chatting with him. The living room, where we slept was comfortable enough after a long walk around NY. The location is super convenient, close to the metro and to Industrial City. Highly recommend staying with him
