About $6-10 uber rides to get anywhere in the downtown areas. Right off I70 for easy trips to the mountains. Light Rail stations 5 min away. Shared Patio with outdoor tv and fireplace.
We are lucky enough to have that quiet neighborhood feel, while still being close to all the fun that city life has to offer! We are walking distance to a couple neighborhood restaurants, coffee shops, dive bars, and parks. If you’re looking for a fun trendy night on the town, RiNo is less than a mile away. The Denver zoo, nature and science museum, and city park are also less than a mile away.
Rivers and roads is my favorite coffee shop right around the corner! Luceros mexican food is a nice fast option a block away, and I like to get food there and then walk over to the park across the street to eat it. Over the weekend there is a authentic taco truck that has amazing food!! If you’re looking for something a little nicer, the Plimoth, is a farm to table restaurant that’s delicious and unique. Jackrabbit slims and Nola are little neighborhood bars. All these options are convenient and walkable. RiNo has tons of breweries, food, bars, shops and everything hip, fun, and trendy. It IS walkable, but might be easier to hop on a bike or Uber.

Enjoy a spacious, private guest room in the basement of our family home. With plenty of space for two, you'll have a warm welcome and two whole floors separating you from the bedroom of our 6 year-old twin boys. Woohoo! Please Note: Starting 4/1/18, Airbnb will collect Colorado sales tax (4%) AND the newish Denver Lodger's Tax (10.75%) when you book. We are therefore lowering our nightly base price to $42, also effective 4/1/18, to ease slightly the pain of this new tax.
Our beautiful Victorian home was built in 1901, and we lovingly renovated it ourselves over the span of four years. Now, it is a warm and welcoming space, filled with books, art, the smells of cooking, and the laughter of our twin boys. We have two guest rooms in our basement that we rent out. Pied-a-terre features a comfortable queen-sized bed, a desk with chair, and armoire with hangers and drawers, and built in bookshelves filled with jigsaw puzzles. There are bamboo floors, comfortable bedding, and shared access to a renovated bathroom with laundry facilities inside. We are raising our twin boys to be country kids in an urban space: they spend most of their time barefoot, half-naked, and digging in the yard. We have an elaborate garden in the summer, and several of our neighbors raise chickens. Your hosts are avid readers and conversationalists, interested in cooking, energy efficiency, public policy, international development, politics, travel, home improvement, building vertical gardens, and Chinese calligraphy. Just, you know, not so much since the boys were born.
Our neighborhood is a lively mixture of families, young couples, and the elderly. The area is quickly transitioning and gentrifying, and it comes with all the associated circumstances. Our family is very happy here, and we embrace our urban location. We take our boys to the park, let them play outside, and say hello to all our neighbors. We also live on a very friendly block, where everyone knows each other and gets along great. Our area is residential and doesn't offer many restaurants or bars, but it is just a short drive from all the best spots in the city. On foot, you can visit a 7-11, a liquor store, a couple of taquerias, a nice little New Orleans bar with pretty good food, and an asian grocery store. And soon, we hear, an Ace Hardware, woohoo. :)

Hello and thank you for checking out my home! ***Please review the entire listing before booking (specifically location, neighborhood & amenities) in order to ensure my place will suit your accommodation requirements.*** I have a bright, quaint, 1 bd/1 ba house in the Globeville neighborhood of Denver. 1.5 miles from downtown, 5 minutes from the heart of the RiNo neighborhood, 2 blocks from the Platte River Trail that links up to metro-wide trails. Best suited for a solo traveler or couple.
I am very excited to offer you my space as I worked very hard to create a unique, comfortable, eclectic environment that reflects the unique and eclectic place that is Globeville. This 120 year-old house has everything you need to feel at home. Pine wood floors throughout, a full kitchen with vintage gas stove, Antique cast iron farmhouse sink, pots and pans, dishes, and silverware, but no dishwasher. Kitchen is stocked with coffee and Tea as well as a coffeemaker, french press & kettle. Enter the cozy bedroom through the French doors to the comfortable queen bed. A window AC unit is installed in the summer months, as well as ceiling fans in the house and standing fans for your use. Bathroom has a shower/tub and comes stocked with essentials like shampoo, conditioner, soap & body wash. As well as other bathroom essentials. There is a hair dryer for use as well. The living room has a Flat screen TV with Hulu and Netflix & Amazon, and the house has WiFi. There is a small patio space in the back yard with a table and chairs where I ask people to smoke, if they smoke as there is no smoking allowed in the house. If there is anything you need, please do not hesitate to ask. There is private, off street parking for up to 2 cars. **Please Read Before Booking** I live on a street in a mixed residential-industrial neighborhood that is very busy in the daytime. With all the growth happening in Denver, the traffic on my street has increased significantly over the past few years. There are many cars and trucks traveling by during the day and has the potential to be a tad loud sometimes. HOWEVER, this is really only during the weekdays. The nights here are quiet and weekend traffic is relatively low. What this is: An edgy, funky, well loved, cozy little joint that is close to Denvers Rino district, downtown, the Platte river trail, and the National Western Stockshow complex. What this isn’t: A controlled environment. I live in a mixed-use neighborhood where small homes are tucked away amidst warehouses and railroad tracks and there is a lot of activity going on with people from all walks of life. This is just to say that if you are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the scenery and vibe of a residential/industrial neighborhood, then PLEASE consider this before booking. I have worked very hard to provide a clear overview of my home and so if there are any questions, please just ask. That said, I hope you choose to stay here. I love this neighborhood, and it has a large part of my heart as does this City. I would love to share this space with you.
Globeville is a small, historic neighborhood near the Platte river and has long been neglected in the shadow of Downtown. That said, there is a great deal of pride for those who live here as the residents of Globeville have fought hard (with mixed results) against industry and developers who would just as soon knock it down and start over. This place is rich with history and character. You will find all walks of life in this classic urban residential-industrial neighborhood. Where some see grit and disorder, we see home and families living their lives.
