  • The best room I lived!!! It is closed to the shopping mall and it have everything u need. It is very cheap. The host is really nice person.

    Junlong2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • It's an apartment with simple furnishings. The cleanliness definitely exceeded my expectations. It's clear that Ben works hard to make the accommodations clean for every traveler. The apartment is located in a building with several other apartments, which does mean that you as the person staying there are subject to the noise of those tenants.

    Tiffany2019-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is very convenient place, and the host very kind and good in behavior. Not thing to complain. Good good good *****

  • Ben is a very nice host, very helpful and reactive by message. He made sure we had the best stay possible. The apartment is tiny but functional, and above all extremely well located, a few minutes walk from Dundas Square! It's a very good value for money! Thanks for the hospitality, Ben!

Though the unit was clean, there were roaches. Not many, but I did see about 4 - 5 during my one night stay. Apart from this, everything was fine. People watching on the balcony at night will definitely bring you entertainment, as unit is located in an eclectic area with some interesting characters afoot.

  • Guarav is very kind and set up check-in, we picked up keys from him at work. He was flexible. Please (Hidden by Airbnb) Moss Park in Toronto before booking this place, which is right on the corner. We unfortunately encountered many heroin users using and dealing drugs right outside the apartment in the park, and saw policemen take down someone outside of a store on the corner. Did not feel safe for me, and I would not bring kids near this park. Otherwise during the daytime people kept to themselves, and we ubered around town. Keep in mind there is only limited free street parking (3 hour limit, $50 fine). The bed is comfortable and the view from the window is very nice as well. There is Netflix and a nice setup.

  • Shirin and her nephew were very welcoming and the room was very accommodating. Early check-in allowed me to explore the city the entire day. The place was tidy and quite too. I would recommend Shirin's place.

    Kireesan2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best airbnb places I have stayed at. The host, Shirin, is the most kind and caring personality I have met, made me feel at home right from the start. The place is located in a beautiful neighborhood around the historic Distillery District and everything in downtown is at a walking distance. There are grocery stores, restaurants, and almost anything that one could need. The room & the entire house was in a clean condition and is exactly as shown in the pictures. This place is highly recommended if you are in Toronto for a short stay or for a long trip. I want to thank Shirin for such a great hospitality.

Cozy 1 bedroom apartment just for you in the heart of one of the most vibrant neighborhoods Toronto has to offer, Little Italy. 5 mins short walk to Bathurst subway station which takes you anywhere in the city. This lively neighborhood is packed with trattorias, trendy restaurants, cafés, pool halls and some of the best bars in town. Its sidewalks are humming with activity on weekends, especially when the weather turns cozy, with locals and visitors alike sipping espresso on outdoor patios.
This is a basement apartment in a traditional home. It is completely self-contained with direct walk out to the street. In the apartment you will find a sitting room, a full kitchen, free laundry, private washroom, and of course your bedroom.
Although Little Italy is now demographically more of a mix, the atmosphere is still very much Italian. The Italian trattorias, known for their family-style, casual dining, are as much about the social atmosphere as the food itself. If you’re not that hungry, but still craving good company, head to one of the traditional Italian coffee shops or billiard halls. These “social clubs” are filled with conversation, laughter and many passionate discussions about soccer. And your visit would not be complete without a bite or a sip at Café Diplomatico. This popular destination has become a Toronto institution for coffee lovers. Affectionately referred to as “The Dip” by locals, the café is often used as a set by filmmakers. There might be a line-up just to get a seat, but the savoury Italian dishes, reasonable prices and people-watching opportunities make it well worth the wait. Quoted from TorontO.
  • The place was easy to find the bed was comfortable and the added heater was great ! Would stay again

  • This AirBnB is in a nice location, and fairly easy to get into and out of if you drive there. The apartment is very open with a nice kitchen area if needed for your stay.

    Emily2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, easy access to the subway. Apartment was as shown in the pictures but cleanliness was disappointing.

    Gráinne2019-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • I beg you, DO NOT deal with any listings from this host & the management company, Paperbox. Absolute disaster of a stay... Hair on the shower wall GIANT hair cluster in shower drain. Hair appliance in bedroom thrown around carelessly Kitchen sink drain dirty & full of food debris. General uncleanliness of the kitchen- dishes from previous guest still out, dirty water in tea kettle, wet rag on counter, cleaning soaps left on counter, crumbs on toaster. Check in instructions sent 3.5 hours AFTER check in time; paperbox/host did not notice until I had to call for the lock box code / check in instructions. Paperbox/host claimed cleaner came by and cleaned the apartment when confronted with the dirtiness of the unit & tried to tell me that it was clean, when I have the text from them saying that the cleaner was not able to get into the apartment to clean. Paperbox/host did not remedy the situation & had to stay in the filth of a unit. I have not heard from them in regards of a refund. They became unresponsive & had to get Airbnb involved. Photos taken are misleading - No decorations in bedroom. No mirror in bathroom. No sunlight shining in from windows as the pictures depict because it is in between two buildings and the fact that it is a basement apartment. Parking that is included is a gamble because it is dedicated to you, but on a first come first serve basis with all the other airbnb guests in the rest of the building. What a poor excuse for a host / management company to be part of the hospitality industry. Do yourself a favor and find another airbnb & if none are available for your dates, get a hotel and save yourself the hassle and migrant from hell.

    Diana2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, very clean, nice large fridge and full kitchen. Shower drips out when in use, best to leave towel down. Would stay again if back in Toronto.

    Aaron2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • There is no T.V., which the ad states there is. Once the cleaners got in there , they cleaned it up pretty good. It is in a good location, a lot of restaurants in walking distance or a street car ride away. Walking distance to Kensington Market. There are two parking spots in the back, first come first serve. It was tight parking but we got in. This place is on our save list.

  • This is a very basic place to stay if you plan on spending most of your time out. The street has a lot of homeless people on it which many people in the area warned me about upon arrival. The place smells like cats and I could not access the kitchen for water so had to settle with the bathroom sink.

In your home, you will find your very own private room, a relaxing lounging area that you meet other beautiful people like yourself, a fully equipped kitchen to show off those pan tosses, and plenty washrooms so you will never have to wait a second on those urgent moments. All of our common spaces (Lounge, kitchen and washrooms) are cleaned daily by our awesome staffs to ensure your comfort.
  • Good place to stay but if the bed would be softer then it would be perfect.

  • My stay was perfect because i had a spacious room , very clean and the bathroom too. I recommend this place

    Johan2018-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly as advertised, clean and convenient. Great place to stay in downtown Toronto.

    Munib2018-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place was all I needed for my short trip in Toronto. The room is exactly as it’s shown in the pictures, very stylish and clean. The communication was very efficient before, during and after my stay. I highly recommend to book this place.

    Giordano2019-03-23T00:00:00Z
  • We didn't get to stay in the room after all, due to some plans being changed. But we appreciate the great communication with the host!

    Hugh2017-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Shared bathroom was often messy and not cleaned thoroughly or regularly. The house is run much like a hostel. Host was inaccessible (no response to calls or emails during my 5 day stay), except for a gentleman occasionally on site who did not speak much English and barged into my room twice because he mixed up my check out dates. Self check in would have been seamless had the front door not gotten stuck, no one was available to assist. Room itself was very clean, and as shown in photo. All in all, okay for the price.

    Munesu2017-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • David had an incredibly seamless check in and check out process, which was nice as it was completely hassle-free. The place was very clean, and the room was nice and tidy. More importantly, this is a great location, only walking distance from Bathurst station. Would definitely stay again!

Flexible check in/out, staying with me in top floor (24 stairs up) 40 year old sunny townhouse complex: 650 square feet electric heating. 8 mins from downtown by 24 hour transit/bike; 25 mins walk). A few small shops/restaurants nearby: sushi, greek, ethiopian, breakfast. lgbt positive. I cherish guests' suggestions. Corktown neighbourhood is east of downtown, slowly growing, eclectic, working class and safe. Parking is behind the complex just 50 metres away. Anything you need, just ask!
Welcome to Corktown district in Toronto (Downtown East). Nice, residential street but so close to the action and pulse of the city. Easy key access upon arrival for confirmed guests. Come and share my space in Toronto. I am a non-smoker. If you wish to smoke, only outside on the patio/balcony. My calendar is always current, even if it appears as "last update x days ago" which means I most likely have had no changes in that period. Wake up ready to start your day with fresh, hot coffee and the newspaper! My house is a mixture of Spanish, Mediterranean and Latin. Yes, I love the sun THAT MUCH! 10 minutes to centre of town or less! And a bike is included!!!! I speak English fluently and French (not fluent). In my kitchen is a plaque "mi casa es su casa". GUESTS (there are no strangers for they are only people whom you have not yet met). HAVE FULL ACCESS TO THE HOUSE. Cook, relax, watch tv, put on some music, dance, LIVE!!! Lounge, dining area, patio, etc. QUICK TIPS: Canadians pay a lot for internet and cellular services. If planning to use your phone here, ensure that you request a roaming package from your carrier before arriving. I also have a laptop in the living area with a guest account if required for email, etc. MONEY AND CREDIT CARDS US dollars accepted everywhere. we do not use the penny so items are rounded up or down. Contact your credit card issuer before arriving to advise when you will be using your card in Canada. SPEED LIMITS ON ROADS Our roads are in KILOMETERS and not miles so 60 km = 35 miles, 80km = 50 miles and 100km = 60miles on the freeways. SALES TAXES Our tax rate is 13% and not included in anything except cigarettes, gas and alcohol at a store. food at a grocery store is not taxable. of course, junk food is taxable. LOCATION: Subway less than 10 minutes away. Grab a day pass for $11.50 approx and traverse the city. You may purchase at the drugstore on the corner. It's good for two people on a holiday of a Sunday. Toronto Transit Commission provides our transit system. To arrive by airport, train, etc please see the directions and house rules sections (for confirmed guests). About 10 minutes taxi from the bus station and train station. Very gay-friendly area!! Close to funky Leslieville and Riverside (10 minutes east on foot over the bridge); enjoy many unique, small businesses in those areas. Cabbagetown and Distillery 5-10 minutes away, northwest southwest, respectively; the gay village "Church Wellesley" 10 minutes away. Top floor of a sunny townhouse complex, 30 seconds from 24 hour transit. West-facing bedrooms; 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment, garden patio with east sun and lots of plants! It is about 27 steps up inside the house to the top floor (self-contained entry to the house). Great downstairs neighbours and in the complex. Front shared garden. Hardwood floors, wood furniture, cotton slipcovers, cotton rugs in case you have allergies. YOUR PRIVATE SPACE: Private bedroom with double bed (super comfortable) full linens, towels, shower supplies, soap, toothpaste, etc...hey, we all forget something when traveling, it seems. There is also a single inflatable bed in the room for your use. Room size: About 120 square feet / 12 metres squared. Lots of hot water and long showers are not an issue at all! Speaking of showers, the North American standard is a lever which controls hot and cold water (we seldom have two water taps in the shower). Just turn it to the left for hot water. Make yourself comfortable, put your feet up after a fun-filled day and relax. Individual heating controls are on the walls of each room. Air Conditioning is through high-power portable units - just ask and it can be hooked up in a couple minutes. WIFI thoughout the house Digital TV with many channels (in a few languages) in living room - tv/dvd for the bedroom available - just ask! THE APARTMENT (includes full usage): -Full Kitchen - food negotiable; coffee, tea, fruits, etc aways available -Dishwasher -Washer -Filtered Water -Microwave The Dining Room / Living Area: Comfortable dining chairs and table with extension leaf for more space as required. Sink into the sofa as you browse through television, watch a movie or use the stereo...just turn on the power bar beside the tv in the armoire. I have computer speakers to use the tv for better sound, the laptop for radio, music, etc. The balcony/patio: Lots of east sun for morning coffee, breakfast, sunny and warm at lunchtime so grab a bite and a beverage, beer/wine/cocktails mid-day, etc. BBQ Grill also. 78 square feet / 7 metres squared. Lattice privacy walls and decking (nice and warm) with lots of plants. An oasis in the heart of downtown! Two great male felines, Smudge and Pudge, on premise just waiting for your affection - they also love to snuggle in bed and are very social. Smoking outside only. No other pets, please. PARKING There is free parking on one side street directly opposite the house. On our street, free between 10am - midnight so street permit parking is available if there are no 24 hour free spaces on above side street (normally lots of room) a better idea. Parking in the back lot behind the house is available. Parking is in the back lot past the second row of townhouses...make a right into the second lot past the playground and the top right-hand spots 21 or 22 should be fine. Just put a note in windshield that it is superintendent approved. We can discuss. THOUGHTS TO PONDER: It's your experience so decide where your interests lie. Cultural, theatre, shopping, nightclubs, pubs, bars, people watching, nature, cycling, sports? If you need an itinerary, let me know and I can indeed assist. Sample sights to experience: Indoor Public Swimming Pool Just a few minutes walk north is a FREE new public pool with lockers, changerooms, showers, etc. Bring your swimwear. Ice Skating Outdoor ice skating on a public rink at City Hall (Bay and Queen West - 10 mins away). Biking Biking trails in the Don Valley are 2 minutes away and a great way to get some exercise car-free! Many bike lanes in the city on main streets. Cabbagetown has the largest amount of Victorian Houses outside of San Francisco . The 65 Parliament bus will take you there in 7 minutes or a 10 - 15 minute walk. Distillery District is just south on the Parliament line and an exciting attraction set in a former whiskey plant; cobblestone streets, coffee shops, shopping, theatre, etc. Ripley's Aquarium is a new addition to Toronto and costs $30 to visit. It's located near Rogers Centre and the CN Tower. Allow about 2 hours to visit. The #1 market in the world, as per National Geographic, is The St. Lawrence Market at Jarvis and Front - about 4 streets south and 7 streets west. Closed Sunday and Monday. Movie theatre across the street from the market is $5 on Tuesdays. Grab a TORONTO CITYPASS for $70 approx and gain access to 4 or 5 attractions. Saves a lot of money! Art Gallery of Ontario and Royal Ontario Museum are an easy 15 minutes away on transit or bike. The Canadian National (we call it CN) Tower allows panoramic views of the city. Check out the outside observation deck and the glass floor, if you dare... Seasonally, 180 Lounge in the Manulife Centre at Bay/Bloor has north and south patios, both outside on the 51st floor. This is 15 minutes northwest. Just a few subway stops away and a quick bus or streetcar ride or bike..... Liberty Village is 20 - 25 minutes west and an urban village. Lots of shops on King and Queen West. Niagara Falls is 90 minutes by car or two hours on train for $20 each way approx. Spend a great day there and walk across the bridge - one foot in the USA and Canada at the same time! Get another great view when you cross the US border by foot, if you wish. SPORTS/THEATRE/CULTURAL Take in a baseball game, enjoy basketball, soccer, lacrosse, hockey depending on the season. Many games priced fairly. Hockey tickets very expensive. Many festivals all weekend during the summer months (May to end of September): Pride, Luminato Arts Festival, Jazz Festival, food, music, Nuit Blanche, etc. AFTER DARK Many pubs, restaurants, bars located in Corktown, Cabbagetown, Entertainment District, Church Wellesley, Yonge Street, etc. Ask me anything.....I may take you out with myself and (URL HIDDEN) happened a lot.... RESTAURANTS, ETC Lots of restaurants, bars, entertainment in this city. Here are some of my faves, within walking distance: POUTINE Amazing - a large order is good for two people....or not.... POOL TABLES AND LOUNGE College Street starting at Bathurst is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening. GRUNGY College-age bars Sneaky Dee’s at College and Bathurst. CHEAP BEER Free Times Café on College. $12 a pitcher from 5 – 8 approx daily. Daily specials with 2 bottles for six bucks. Great patio! Tortilla Flats at Queen West and Augusta for Tex Mex and a nice back patio. Amsterdam Beer (great local brew) for $10 a pitcher on Sundays. LOUD MUSIC Cameron House on Queen West DANCE CLUB (I work for a large entertainment corporation) UNIUN at Adelaide and Portland - many international guest DJs. 19+ Fridays. 25+ Saturday Interaction during your stay: Friends are always welcome in the house and I am quite social. As much interaction or as little as required will be accommodated and respected. Anything not covered above, just ask. Cheers and thank you once again.
I love that my neighbourhood is small and friendly with unique local shops. I am a huge supporter of small business. Corktown is an emerging location. Small cafes and sushi, Ethiopian, greek food, a drug store with bank machine, coffee all on the next corner.
  • This place is amazing!! We really had a great time staying with Sean.

  • Sean was a wonderful host for our 3 nights in Toronto! He was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. He offered plenty of ideas and helpful suggestions for exploring the city. His apartment was clean and he had lots of resources for us to use during our stay (hair dryer, clean towels, access to his fridge, etc.). Sean was very easy to talk to and we felt very comfortable staying with him. We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend his place to anyone! Thanks Sean!

  • A pleasant first airbnb experience! Although busy, Sean made himself available for directions and questions about anything. The place is very accessible to public transportation and walkable to major attractions. He made things easier by communicating even before our arrival and made brilliant suggestions on places to go. He is trusting, letting you borrow his bicycles, umbrella and backpack. Love his 2 felines! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful place!

  • Sean is amazing, he gives to us a lot of informations about toronto. His place is just typical, great. A very nice place to stay in Toronto, close to city center. And transports are really close, on the queen street. We recommend this place and Sean as host. Sean etait juste superbe.

  • This is the jackpot of AirBnbs in Toronto. From the great view, to the comfortable bed, to the stylish, modern decor, this place was everything we expected and more. With bonuses, like a rooftop terrace with a view of the city skyline, to the free underground parking, you could not as for a better stay. We hope to be back sometime soon, 13/10 would stay again.

  • I wanted to surprise my mom with a trip to Toronto, and a stay downtown close to the St. Lawrence market, areas she loves, and this location was spot on. Excellent views, central location, clean and well decorated apartment, wonderful amenities, secure building and a welcoming host! Will definitely try to book again the next time I’m heading to Toronto. We had a wonderful stay! I was able to create more great memories of Toronto, and most importantly with my mom :-)

If I ever come back to Toronto, I would stay at this exact place. Ramon was easy to get a hold of, he would message you back immediately. He was accommodating as well, let us check out late. Stay here, you won’t regret it!

    Alma2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This has been my best AirBnB stay so far. The apartment is sparkling clean, great layout with separate sitting areas, well equipped with everything you need for your stay. On top of that, the building amenities were fantastic - can’t beat the view of downtown Toronto from the rooftop terrace! The area is by far the friendliest in downtown Toronto whether you’re walking or driving, easy to get off and onto the highway too. Lots of great restaurants and pubs, and just blocks from St. Lawrence market. Highly recommended to anyone going to Toronto!!

In the heart of Liberty Village near restaurants, grocery stores and public transit. Close to King West & Queen West, Trinity Bellwoods Park, Budweiser Stage and Exhibition.
Liberty Village has become a sought after address by Toronto young urban professionals. While historic factory buildings still dot the area, many have been converted for contemporary uses, from cool lofts to even cooler restaurants and bars. Centred on the Liberty Market Building, this neighbourhood is where Toronto’s young urban professionals choose to live, work and play. Just across the tracks from BMO Field, Liberty Village is the best place for post-game celebrations following a Toronto FC victory. After every game, neighbourhood sports bars are packed to the brim with fans sporting their red scarves.
  • I really enjoyed my stay at Jess’ place! The location is great, close to the King St. streetcar to take you into the downtown core and right next to a grocery store and many restaurants/banks etc. I also really appreciated the en-suite laundry, the huge windows (especially at night!!), and the Apple TV/Netflix access :) Jess was great at responding quickly when I had questions and checkin/checkout were a breeze. Would definitely recommend!!

  • Place was great, and Jess was very helpful and quick to answer any questions!

  • I really loved staying here! It was so cute, the place is super clean, and she has all utensils that made it easy for me and my boyfriend to cook. The neighbourhood was really nice. Although it was a bit of a walk to the nearest bus stop, there is a grocery store and other fast food places nearby to eat.

    Sabrina2018-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Jess’ place was clean, cozy and stylish. Great neighbourhood. The place smelt good and she has everything you would need!

    Brittany2018-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jess' place is beautiful! The view is absolutely stunning, there are ceiling to floor windows in the bedroom and living area with a lovely view. All the little touches didn't go unnoticed either. Jess had up a lovely, lit Christmas tree, cute pictures on the walls, and everything had a really home-y feel to it. I loved cute blanket and pillow on the couch. There was also really great water pressure in the shower! My only slight concern was as we were checking in, we had some difficulty figuring out the box to call Jess so she could buzz us in so we called the concierge to see if they could help/explain and they were very rude and condescending. That is something that is out of Jess' control and overall we had a really great stay and Jess was very friendly and helpful, it was just unfortunate to have such a poor interaction with the people at the desk.

  • Great location, great vibe, great service. You won’t be disappointed if you book this room.

    Taylor2019-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • The location was good. We traveled to Toronto to see a show at the Scotiabank Arena. The location was about 10 min drive from there so it was convenient. The keycafe app was a bit confusing and caused some stress before arrival. There were two addresses provided and had to call Trace Property for some clarification on the location of where to pick up the key and which address we were staying at. Also needed clarification on how the app actually worked. Once we arrived it wasn't very complicated and were able to figure everything out in a timely fashion. The place was clean and quiet. I would recommend this place for a short stay.

    Leanne2018-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Trace Property was responsive to all emails, and the space was exactly as described. I had a great experience with them, and would book through them again!

    Stevie2019-07-23T00:00:00Z
  • Patio dirty with no furniture, unusable. No night table, we used the coffee table as a night stand. They use a key locker which is located three blocks away, requires you to download and register on a separate app. A house rule is to prepare the bed for cleaning by stripping it completely. I found this to be an odd rule, nonetheless I complied. This place is fine if you’re simply sleeping and leaving. The bed was comfortable.

    Jay2018-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean and neat place. Hopefully they’ll add convenient stores next time. Otherwise, self-check was easy.

    Adrianna2019-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • This was a perfect cozy stay for two people. It has every amenity there is, the location is absolutely perfect and it was easy to get wherever we needed to go. Communication with the hosts was quick and easy and check in and check out was perfectly smooth. I'd give more stars if I could.

    Maggie2018-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this property was in a great spot we were minutes from local restaurants downtown. The place looked exactly how it’s advertised. It’s a beautiful, nice and cozy studio condo. The only issues we had were parking and accessing the amenities. We felt we were given the run around as far as where we could park. When we contacted the host the first time she told us to find one of the public parking garages because there weren’t any parking there, which wasn’t mentioned in the listing. After she texted the address, we found out it was a 20 minute walk. This was a disadvantage considering we aren’t familiar with the area and the amount of time wasted. We ended up getting a visitor’s pass from the security person after we had to contact the host again to get permission. I didn’t understand why this wasn’t mentioned the first time when we spoke. For whatever reason, we could not access the pool and sauna as described, only the WiFi. When questioned, the security person said there wasn’t a pool or sauna on the property.

Come spend a night in this Japan inspired Studio in the heart to Downtown Toronto. 5 mins walk to Queen Subway Stroll through famous landmarks such as the Dundas Sq. and Eaton Centre. Glimpse into Toronto’s past through the revitalized St. Lawrence Market, popular among shoppers and photographers. The charming Distillery District has become a destination unto itself with corky Victorian shops hinting an industrial twist. Vibrant nightlife alongside of Queen and Church street
In your home, you will find your very own cozy bed, a clean private washroom, a fully equipped kitchen to show off those pan tosses, and a lounging area with additional sofa bed.
We are located right on the dividing line of Old Town and Church-Yonge Corridor and enjoy the best of both worlds. Old Town is a mishmash of restored historic attractions and trendy new developments. Farther east, the historic Distillery District is one of Toronto's hottest entertainment destinations. It's filled with restored Victorian-era factories that house contemporary galleries, bustling pubs, and chic restaurants. - quoted from fodor's travel Church-Yonge Corridor is famous for its unique diversity. It is home to Toronto's most vibrant LGBT community, hosting parade during the summertime. You can experience the concerts, parades, discussion panels, exhibits, and more during this week-long celebration.
  • PROS: + Easy check-in procedure, with code for front door provided and key in lock box at unit. Made getting in a snap. + Good location not far from plenty of attractions downtown, making it an decent value for the price. + Clean, comfortable bed and pillows. CONS: - No hot water in shower. Ran water for 7 minutes with no change in temp, so eventually had to take an icy shower. Started to warm up a couple minutes later, but by that time it didn't matter. To be fair, it was 4:30AM, so maybe the heating unit has a timer of some kind. Was also an effective way to wake up, so there's that. - Some hair left around the shower and sink. In general, I feel the cleaning job was pretty harried, though the sleeping area and kitchen were spotless, and both of those are most important to me. - Obviously a turnstile type AirBnb location. This was not news to me, as any time the host has six properties you can surmise it's being run as a side business. If you're looking for a "home away from home" experience, you won't find it here, as it feels even more empty than it looks in the pictures, with no personal touch whatsoever.

  • Simple, clean space. Good value.

    Jesse2019-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean place. Good for everything, shopping, eating, playing. Parking is not free, but cheap in this big city.

  • Staying close to the action of Yonge street AND having a clean/quiet place to rest your head AND doing so at a modest price point all at the same time is a very tall order to make in downtown Toronto - but David can make it happen. I always enjoy staying at his listings and will likely return to this one soon.

    Douglas2017-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • Really liked this room. The bed was comfy and I enjoyed the location.

  • David was a great host, he provided us with anything we needed and was very accommodating. Place was very clean and cozy.

  • This was perfect for our needs and our visit to Toronto to attend a conference at the Royal York.

    Rhea2017-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • While centrally located and reasonably priced, we would not recommend this airbnb to anyone visiting Toronto. The building has been converted into airbnb rentals and seems to be party central at night in spite of the seemingly strict noise regulations on the listing. There simply needs to be better soundproofing installed in the rooms, particularly given the number of guests permitted -- our studio was much too small for four. My colleague and I could hear all of the conversation, music, and snoring that was going on next door and even down the hall. Neither of us is a particularly light sleeper but we did not have a good night's rest during our entire stay.

  • Five minute walking distance from Union Station makes this condo quite accessible by public transportation. Brian was flexible with the check-out time, and he made sure I was able to get into the building upon arrival even though he was stuck in a meeting. Along with the great views and proximity to downtown Toronto, I loved my stay here. 10/10 would stay here again.

  • I stayed at Brian’s condo on a business trip for one night. The condo was very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. Brian was a great host always responding promptly. He helped me find the place and check-in was a breeze. He made me feel welcomed. The view in the morning is breathtaking. I would definitely recommend. It was my first time renting a bedroom in an occupied condo and I felt very safe and comfortable. I would stay at Brian’s again.

It's an old place but perfect to sleep, eat and the bathtubs is huge... :) If you go there, don't pay for the public parking like a did because you can park overnight on the street for free... Nice stay... thank you!

    Narma2017-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • Good place if you’re planning to roam around downtown, close to everything! The place was bigger than expected but very plain, a TV would have been nice but otherwise good value for the location + size and very clean! Also parking is a little annoying, it’s free untill 8am and you cant pay for it in advance so you have to wake up and then pay for parking at 8am if you wanted to checkout at 11am

    Maham2018-05-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was okay. I don't like airbnb places managed by companies; the experience is like getting into an apartment with bunch of furnitures and no character; everything is plain and down to necessities with no touch of character by a human who cares... Everything was professional though.

  • Lovely location. If you are visiting Toronto, this is probably the most enjoyable place to be. Imagine being in the middle of nature (huge leafy trees, water, etc.) but 10 minutes away from downtown. Can't say enough about how nice and accommodating the hosts are. I'd go back there anytime.

Private bedroom for SINGLE professional (single=one!) in a hard downtown loft. The bedroom is clean, quiet, cozy and comes w a large desk. The shared bathroom is across from the bedroom. The King Streetcar stops DIRECTLY in front of the bldg. City bikes are also nearby. Queen St. West (voted second coolest st. in the world by Vogue) is super close—as is Ossington Village. Recent convert to natural cleaning products. Vinegar & lemon for the win? Finally, non smokers only (you NEVER smoke)!
The bedroom (with a comfy queen size bed) is perfect for a SINGLE, busy professional who just needs a clean, quiet and cozy place to stay while visiting Toronto. Massey Harris Lofts is a designated heritage building (~1880s). The architect was Edward James Lennox, who also designed Casa Loma and Old City Hall—two major historical landmarks here in Toronto.
The condo is within easy walking distance to: * Queen Street West: eclectic boutiques, artisanal studios, vegetarian and vegan restaurants, quaint coffee shops, cool thrift shops, etc. * Ossington Village: voted "Toronto's three best blocks for shopping, dining and drinking." * Trinity Bellwoods Park, Fort York National Historic Site and Trillium Park. * The Martin Goodman Trail: for those who want to run, rollerblade or walk near Lake Ontario (in the Huron language, Ontarí'io means "Lake of Shining Waters"). * The Bentway. This is Toronto's newest skating trail (1.75 km), which is located under the Gardiner Expressway (yes, an expressway)?! Ok, the jury's still out on this one. :-)
  • Charming, very nice and clean place with a great location for Queen and King Streets (restaurants and Fashion district), also to reach the Lake Ontario, Roncevalles or still Kensington ... All conveniences are around, very secure spot and so easy to access by streetcar ... and back to hyper downtown (Eaton centre, CN Tower ...). So, let’s go to Sheryl’s place, she is a great host and you’ll enjoy staying there ... : )

    Michael2018-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Sheryl’s place was amazing! This was my first trip as a solo traveller so I was slightly anxious but staying in a wonderful place like Sheryl’s made me feel excited. Before booking I’d asked for directions from the airport and she gave me specific instructions, I used public transport which I found easy to use thanks to Sheryl! On arrival the house and room was spotless, with a fresh towel to use. There was also useful maps etc and Sheryl let me borrow her books. The condo is in a great location, I could walk or take public transport anywhere, and if needed any help how to get anywhere Sheryl was very helpful. Every time I saw Sheryl she was approachable and always happy to help. Would definitely recommend!!

    Laura2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed with Sheryl for 3 nights, she’s so friendly, thoughtful and fun! We share a bit our interest and experience, which also make me feel more glad to stay with her! The location is very close to the bus station, and you can take public transportation everywhere. The house is clean and stylish, there are lots of book around so you can always have a quite and peaceful night in her house! I highly recommend Sheryl if you want to have a cozy trip in Toronto : )

  • This is a great AirBnB. The condo is small, beautifully decorated and stylishly done. It's location is great, on King street, which is a short streetcar ride into town. Queen Street is great as well. Thoroughly recommended. Sheryl is easy to talk to and very welcoming.

  • I had a truly fantastic stay at Sheryl's place, certainly my best airbnb experience to date. Sheryl's apartment is beautiful, peaceful & stylish and the location unbeatable with Queen West right around the corner. I felt this was a completely personalised experience and Sheryl was absolutely lovely to chat to, warm and friendly and of course had great tips to explore the neighbourhood. Thanks very much Sheryl, it was lovely to meet you and hope to stay again very soon!

  • There are a few things I wish I had known about this place before I booked. Firstly, it's a basement apartment. It's advertised as a 'loft' which to my European ears means it's on the top floor. Secondly, the neighbourhood is still slightly rough. I was a little nervous coming back at night, but didn't have any problems. If I had been staying here with a friend or partner, I would have rated it 5 stars, no problems whatsoever, but staying there on my own I had a few security concerns. There are no curtains on the window, which means that when the lights are on, anyone on the street can see right into the apartment. There's also a strange door with a deadbolt at the end of the room. When I opened the door it seemed to lead into some kind of storage room or garage. I had no idea who had a key to the connecting door, or who the room belonged to. Once during my 2 night stay there was a light on and someone rummaging around. It made me pretty uncomfortable, though there's a deadbolt on the apartment side (which means someone would need a key to open it). All that said, I didn't have any issues during my stay. It's a great location for walking around Toronto (close to the Eaton centre, Distillery district, Massey Hall, U of T), was immaculately clean, and relatively quiet (upstairs neighbours). If you're more than one person staying there it's perfect. Also, the wifi was great, so those problems seem to have been fixed.

  • Clean, bright and a great place to stay. Excellent communication with the host and check in was easy. Just a short walk to the Eaton Centre. I recommend this place as a great place to stay.

    Michael2017-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Basic. No heat control (only a space heater) and no extra blankets. Bed didn’t have sheets. While the location was good I do not think this unit was worth the price I paid.

    Erica2017-12-09T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great first time in Toronto! The place was just as it is in the pictures!

The place is called Food Palace Village, it's located at the heart of downtown Toronto, 100 meters north of Queen Street West and Bathurst St. One of the best location for tourist and business people! All rooms have private washroom and separate entrance! The front of building is an Italian gelato store (sorry it's only opening in the summer!) There is a 24-hour street car at front door which will lead to Toronto subway station. PLEASE CHECK OTHER LISTINGS, THERE ARE 3 GUEST ROOMS AVAILABLE!
Separate entrance from the owner and other guests! Private washroom, cable TV, luxury hotel style bedding, wifi, etc. It is simply a motel accommodation at downtown Toronto for affordable price!
Steps to Queen Street West (100 meters away!), there are countless local restaurants and bars... From Japancese Sushi to Korean Barbecue... Also further to the west on spadina street, that is China Town!
  • The location work well. Was about a twenty five minute walk to the Ago. The bus travelled right in front of the room that traveled to the subway station. It made getting around easy. A separate entrance, and bathroom was appreciated.
