  • Lovey stay on my cycling journey from London to Nottingham. Right next door to a pub that serves great food. Very welcoming and understanding of my late arrival and could not do more for me. My only regret is not taking advantage of the breakfast, as the bed was so comfy!

  • Suzanne's house is warm clean and friendly. She provides everything you need for a very pleasant stay. The breakfast is good and the pub next door serves excellent meals (large portions). It is an excellent place to stay and very good value.

  • I have loved my stay at Jane’s home. Home from home feeling with all needed amenities and spotlessly clean throughout. Jane could not have been more welcoming and I have already booked a second visit .

    Gemma2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely host , spacious, the garden was a sanctuary after 2 hard days at work. Faultless.

    William2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Jane is a very nice host and the room was quiet overlooking the garden. Off street parking on the driveway and on the edge of the village so a very quiet area. Nice bed and lovely bathroom plus use of the kitchen and garden if required. Jane is very welcoming and chatty. Local pub is a 5 - 10 minute walk into the village centre and Lutterworth (Waitrose, Morrisons) is a 5 minute drive away.

  • I had a lovely stay at Jane's. Her and her little dog met me with a cup of tea and made me feel like I was coming home. The house is on a silent street, was immaculate and very comfortable. Absolute no-brainer, would recommend 100%. Thanks Jane

A bright single room, with a shared bathroom, own living room and shared kitchen in my house.
The room has a desk and chair, hangers on the back of the door. Toiletries and towels, tea and coffee making in the room.
The house is on an estate in a large village. Within walking distance are several pubs, including one with a good reputation for it’s menu. There are two supermarkets in the centre and a corner shop on the estate. A short stroll from the house there are walks over the hills with good views across Leicestershire.
  • Sarah’s place was great really homely which made it feel like home from home. Great being able to use the Kitchen and have a 2nd space to relax. Exactly what I needed as close to my office and easy to get to. Would defiantly recommend and I hope to stay again.

    Georgina2019-05-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah is a fantastic host who welcomes you into her home so readily. Super cosy bedroom with large desk to work on. Very relaxed environment with complimentary breakfast you can just help yourself too. Lovely! I shall be returning.

    Helen2019-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, clean comfortable and bright rooms. Highly recommend

    Vincent2019-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! The place is super stylish, comfy and clean. The possibility of having breakfast is invaluable too! I loved my stay. On the minus side, the water facilities are quite tired (toilets hard to flush and almost no pressure in the shower) but I would stay again anytime and highly recommend it. Just wanted future guests to be aware about it.

    Xenia2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a great place! Sarah was very hospitable and super interesting to chat to. Lovely comfy bed. Highly recommended!

  • Second visit here, really great value for money, super comfortable room and a wonderful host Sarah.

    Helen2019-06-11T00:00:00Z
  • Sarah's place was clean, stylish and a very relaxing space. She had laid out thoughtful touches like my own tea service and was kind enough to make me up a larger room than I initially booked. A real bonus in a fabulous location!

The flat was recently completed to a high standard. It is centrally located in a village with views from the kitchen to the churchyard and from the bedroom to garden and fields beyond. Access is via a garage below where bikes or any other bulky items can be securely stored. Market Harborough is a 10 minute drive as is J20 of the M1 at Lutterworth. Kilworth House is 5 minutes away. Whilst there are no shops in the village they are within easy reach. There is an excellent pub in the village.
  • Another fantastic stay. The flat was spotless, with everything I needed. Great place and great hosts. See you soon.

    Richard2018-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 381 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

    Grace2019-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place with great amenities, convenient for myself as I was working nearby. When checking in, the host gave me a list of recommendations for places to eat which was helpful. However further in the week when my boyfriend joined me on the stay (he was a registered guest), he dealt with an extremely uncomfortable situation with one of the hosts while he was there in the day and I was at work. The host came across rude and made us feel awkward for the remainder of our stay. Overall nice place, however them being new to air b&b maybe they should understand some people prefer privacy.

    Lauren2018-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely large loft space with fully kitted kitchen, in a quiet village with a fantastic welcome from Alison. Amazing, unique gym space as well. Will definitely be back!

    Iain2018-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful clean and modern one-bedroom loft flat in quiet country village. Nice and private as loft is above a garage adjacent to the house and has lovely views to both the front (the church) and back (open fields). Very welcoming hosts, happy to help you with anything but also happy to leave you to it! Considerate thought to provide basics for tea/coffee/breakfast for the weary traveller! Highly recommended.

    Lesley2018-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Another great stay at Alison’s lovely and quiet, and extremely well equipped, flat. Highly recommended!

    Lesley2018-07-04T00:00:00Z
  • WHAT A FIND! This is by far the BEST Air BnB I have ever stayed in. The hosts met me on arrival and showed me around (along with how the hydro pool and gym worked). They offered me suggestions on local places to eat and drink (and golf courses). The flat itself is brand new, spotless and homely. With cooking hobs / oven / fridge / power shower / and one big comfy bed. The flat also came with towels and everything I needed for cooking and eating. The hosts themselves took time to chat with me, and made it feel like a home away from home. This is a rare find in the area, with lovely walks/runs and close to where I was working. I would not hesitate to recommend this place for business or personal use. See you in a few weeks when I stay again. P.S - The biscuit bin and fridge where also stocked up! The little extra's really made this feel like a relaxing week away on business for once..

    Lutterworth , England, United Kingdom

Our property is situated on a quiet street in Lutterworth and the room is positioned at the back of the property. You will be able to park your car outside and we have space to keep any bikes in the garden. Although this room is best as a single, it can accommodate a double booking.
We have a unique family home that has been described as an oasis of tranquillity. I rather think it provides a cuddle to a weary traveller. You can have as little or much interaction with us as you wish. There are plenty of bookshelves in the communal areas which, during your stay, you are more than welcome to read.
Lutterworth is a small Midlands Market Town with plenty of restaurants, country pubs & local amenities. The sports centre and swimming pool is a 5 min walk away. Within a 10 minute walk, you can be immersed in the Leicestershire countryside. We are 20 minutes from Market Harborough & Rugby. Leicester is about 30 minutes away.
  • A warm welcome , lovely comfortable room and nothing appears to be too much trouble for Louise to ensure a great stay. First class!

    Mike2019-01-23T00:00:00Z

    Rachel2019-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Comfort, quiet place, all you need when you travel for work as I did

    Irina2018-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication from Louise. The house is spotlessly clean and fresh smelling. Parking is on-road but not an issue. The room was quiet and peaceful and the seperate bathroom, like the bedroom, clean and fresh. Only stopped one night with an earlyish start so didn't get to sample breakfast but have no doubts it would have met expectations. Would definitely stop again.

    John & Lindsay2019-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • A warm welcome and clean and tidy accommodation with the normal amenities. Nothing appears to be too much trouble for Louise who is a perfect host. A gem of a find!

    Mike2019-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • For someone who just arrived in the UK, I felt right at home thanks to Louise's friendliness and hospitality. My room: comfortable, cozy, spotless, with a beautiful backyard view. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

    Beth2019-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • Louise was a fantastic host, it was the first time I'd used a room rather than a whole apartment and it couldn't have been easier. I can't recommend Louise and her place highly enough.

  • Sheelagh is a very special host who will tune into whatever it is that one needs, or even anticipate things one does not realise one requires. I ascended and descended her stairs in an unconventional manner due to my fractured leg, and she was completely relaxed about this - and hearing my crutches squeak! Everything a guest might require for a relaxed, homely and happy stay is in place. I hope to remain in contact with Sheelagh in the future, as a friend now, not just another guest.

  • A very comfortable and convenient place to stay while I was in a business trip to Lutterworth. Only slight gripe is that you have to get out of the car to access the number pad for the gate which is cumbersome when you are there alone rather than as a couple.

    Sue2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning place, absolutely loved it...we will be back :-)

    Sagar2018-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed one night as I was working nearby. The directions are spot on although its easy to go past so go slow. The electronic gates give a feeling of safety and theres loads of room to park. The cabin is inside the stable enclosure so make sure you wipe your feet once through the door .The cabin itself is lovely and spotless. The thing I liked is its not cluttered with stuff just some great Alpaca themed Items. The kitchen area has everything you would need and the fridge had some milk in so that was a godsend. The bedroom has a wonderful bed that dosent feel like 1000 people have slept in it. The shower is amazing but be warned like most men I decided not to read the instructions and ended up being bombarded by freezing cold water which when you are dancing round screaming like a res indian chief isn't a good idea so please don't do what I did and read the instructions. Two great things are the Alpacas who all stare at you at the same time and the horses who come running as soon as they see you bless them. This is a Ideal place to stay and for me the piece and quiet and wonderful countryside will keep me returning .Snap this place up people its a real find.

    Michael2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place! I was only there for work reasons but I would recommend to anyone who wants a nice retreat away. The kitchen is lovely and it’s all so very spacious, everything you need is right there. Lovely location!

    Char2018-11-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a little hidden gem of a place. Loads of space inside, really soft, comfy throws on the couches. Really posh shower, comfy bed, lots of storage for your things, great tv with lots of channels. Outside, so tranquil and green. Pub and a great little rugby club within short walking distance Also - the horses and little herd of alpacas! Super value for the cost. Don’t hesitate. Book this.

    Meg2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Alpaca my bags is a charming cottage in a lovely location with the added bonus of real Alpacas on site! The property is huge, very comfortable and very clean with all the amenities you could need.

    Paul2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, very quiet and just as described. The space is brilliant and it has everything you would need! The host was always quick at responding. There is a pub that is walking distance up a road.

    Samuel2018-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very rural location with fields and fields to gaze over. 3 horses and 5 alpaca. What’s not to like? Excellent instructions for check in. We checked in using a key box and it worked very well. Easy access from M1 but still very quiet. Our second visit so it’s great for us. The main room has two large, comfy sofas for relaxing and adjoining kitchen has everything you need if you want to cater for yourselves. Beautiful bedroom and attached shower room. Follow the instructions to use the shower of you will get wet when you’re not expecting it! Bed a little firm for our liking but would suit most people. Overall a great place for a relaxing break!

We have three beautiful ensuite rooms available in our spacious family home, nestled amongst miles and miles of greenery and farms. The house is comfortable and spacious and offers exquisite views of rural middle England. Guests are welcome to explore our beautiful grounds, which are home to horses, alpacas, a pig, a cat, chickens, lambs and cows. All rooms are provided with a kettle, teas and coffees, snacks, fruit and cereals, as well as Wi-Fi, a television and hairdryer. Free Parking.
All three bedrooms are ensuite and extremely spacious, with under-floor heating. All rooms are provided with a kettle, teas and coffees, a toaster and snacks, fruit and cereals, as well as Wi-Fi, a television, hairdryer, fresh towels and toiletries. Free parking is also available. The house has a wonderful English country feel, with plenty of wooden beams, wooden floors, floor to ceiling windows and plenty of natural light flooding in and is set amidst farmland. The owners are a very friendly husband and wife with extensive knowledge of the area and thus able to recommend places to visit, things to do and restaurants to eat at. They are both keen horse riders and polo players and can arrange to take you for a ride on one of their horses upon request. They will even cook you a full English breakfast if you’d like (additional cost) ! There is a supermarket a mile away that is open until late, the impeccable Grey Goose is also in the same village and offers an array of exquisite British food in a delightful setting, with rave reviews on TripAdvisor. There are also plenty of English pubs to explore. The house is gated and extremely safe and is one in a hamlet of four others. We are on the doorstep of the beautiful market town of Lutterworth, famous for the building of the jet engine and John Wycliffe who is renouned for translating the bible from Latin to English in the 14th century. Nearby you can visit the beautiful Stanford Hall stately home and take in its exquisite grounds and drive a military tank around a WW2 bombing range at Armourgeddon. Of course, you are only a short drive from Leicester City with plenty to see and do, from the Richard III Visitor Centre to the Space Centre, Highcross Shopping Centre and the Cathedral. You can enjoy all the City has to offer from the seclusion of rural England.
The house is in Gilmorton, which is a village three miles from Lutterworth Town. It is very easily accessible, the farm is easy to find but in case guests have trouble upon arriving, they are welcome to ring one of the home owners and we will be more than happy to guide them.
  • Super fast response as we wanted to book asap. Excellent communication. Our room with lovely brass bed and pretty linen. Very clean. Good quality shampoo etc. available in the en suite. Lovely hamper with fruit, crisps and biscuits, along with good quality tea and coffee. We could come and go as we liked, as the rooms are slightly separate from the rest of the house. It was nice to have a light breakfast in the kitchen, and chat with Andy. We were able to walk around their land, meet the horses and Alpacas. Linden was able to tell us about places to visit, and on her recommendation we had a great day out. Thanks for a lovely time.

    Mandy2017-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay! We had the best time! Nothing was too much trouble, both Lynden and Andy are wonderful! The place has a brilliant array of animals, from chickens to pigs and alpacas, it was perfect for our toddler, who even got a ride on their Shetland pony in a basket saddle! We stayed in a room in a private wing of the house, but there is also a shepherds hut nestled in their orchard which we are dying to try out on our next visit. We will definitely return soon!

  • What a fantastic experience! Lynden & Andy were excellent hosts and made us feel incredibly welcome. They took us out for a night at a local pub, and let us ride their horses, even gave us a polo lesson! The room was fantastic, extremely spacious and well decorated, with an excellent ensuite bathroom. This place is an absolute gem, I wish we had stayed even longer!

Are you looking for a cosy and warm glamping experience ? Come and spend some time in our beautiful rustic Shepherd hut. Always a Horse or two ready to greet you in the morning, our 3 lovely Alpaca boys or be delighted to meet Piggy Pop and Piggy Stardust who love bananas ! Don't be put off by the weather when you can be wrapped in a blanket of warmth making S'mores on the log fire and reading a bug and getting away from city living. hard. Instagram @crisplodge
This little pad is filled with all the creature comforts (including electricity and running water) , Memory foam mattress and beautiful arty furniture fills the space. The Hut sits in it's own little paddock on the edge of the Orchard which overlooks fields of Horses, Alpacas and the wonderful Penelope pig, of course not forgetting our very friendly chickens that venture to see what is going on. The owners are a very friendly husband and wife with extensive knowledge of the area and thus able to recommend places to visit, things to do and restaurants to eat at. They are both keen horse riders and polo players and can arrange to take you for a ride on one of their horses upon request (and a small fee) . Nearby you can visit the beautiful Stanford Hall stately home and take in its exquisite grounds and visiting car clubs. Of course, you are only a short drive from Leicester City with plenty to see and do, from the Richard III Visitor Centre to the Space Centre, Highcross Shopping Centre and the Cathedral. You can enjoy all the City has to offer from the seclusion of rural England. Your dog / pet is allowed to holiday with you but comes along as an extra guest at £10 per night.
The house is in Gilmorton, which is a village three miles from Lutterworth Town. It is very easily accessible, the farm is easy to find but in case guests have trouble upon arriving, they are welcome to ring one of the home owners and we will be more than happy to guide them.
  • Great spot. Super secluded and a very luxurious cabin - loos inside and out and loads of other great little touches. We slept fantastically - comfy bed, quiet and super dark. Easy going hosts - thanks for leaving breakfast out on Sunday. Would recommend.

    Imogen2018-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fab stay in the shepherds hut. We had a super cosy fire, and loved saying hello to the animals. It was full of the cutest touches, and warms up a treat.

    Sophie2018-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic find. Perfect little hide away to enjoy some peace and quiet, apart from nature and some cute animals! It has a great little fire to make it extra cosy and there were extra little touches to make our stay more enjoyable. Would very much recommend, especially as the hosts are so lovely.

    Susanna2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place was super cute, nice touches in the hut. It was lovely to be in the peace & quiet and watching the animals in the field was great!

    Hannah2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lyden & Andy were incredible hosts. We stayed in the hut for 2 nights and liked the place so much we decided to stay in the house for a third night. It was private but we were also made to feel very at home and welcome. It was an easy and relaxed place to stay, super cosy, warm and inviting. The animals were just wonderful and Lyden and Andy were friendly and warm. There were really nice places to eat and drink in the village too. Thanks so much for a lovely stay! We’d love to come back in the future.

    Lauren2018-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really great stay at the Shepard's hut, was great to be in our own orchard for our dog to have a little a run around. Lyden was great and very hospitable, even gave us some freshly laid eggs! Highlight were the friendly animals on the doorstep! We will be back I'm sure :)

    Emma2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • A cosy, welcoming and clean hut. The outdoor space is lovely with a large fire pit, bbq facilities, plenty of seating and an outside toilet. The bed is super comfortable. The horses in the field next to the hut are gorgeous and loved popping over to say hello, as too did the Alpacas and chickens. The hut is in a lovely field next to an orchard, it is private and a real sun trap and there are loungers provided, so it’s easy to lie around and do nothing or a few miles away is Foxton Locks, which are well worth a wander.

    Marie2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was an awesome stay. We had a lovely welcome from Lynden and Andy on our arrival. The hut is perfect for a glamping break. The animals make it an interesting stay, we LOVED the alpacas! The horses are super friendly and curious. You can walk through the fields from the hut to Gilmorton village which takes around 20 minutes. Be careful on the way back with cows as they were a little aggressive with us walking back through their field! We had our meal at the Crowne Inn which was lovely, make sure to book as it gets very busy at the weekends. Gilmorton is a stunning little village. Amazing stay and we will be back.

  • We spent three nights in the Victorian Barn on Sarah’s farm. The barn has everything we needed for a really comfortable stay with our children. The location is beautiful and very private. Sarah and her family were very welcoming and invited us to come along to the barn to meet the animals which our children loved. We would love to stay again - thank you!

    Kathleen2019-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was fantastic! A bit in the middle of nowhere (definitely need a car), but sparkling clean, fully equipped kitchen, cleaning stuff, amenities etc. Lots of extra thoughtful touches (for example scones, cream and jam upon arrival, and milk in the fridge). ☺️ Sarah was lovely, accompanied us to the cottage (glad she did, as roads can’t be found on gps). Would definitely stay again, thank you.

  • Staying with Lynden and Andy was really easy - great people, lovely breakfast and welcome in the morning from the host of animals in the yard. Delightful dog - Russell too. I totally recommend staying with them at their place - really comfy bed too. Plus I came home with loads of fresh free range eggs! :-)

    Jo2018-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect place to go if you love animals! Lynden and Andy are extremely friendly and welcoming. We got to feed the alpacas twice, hold a chicken and stroke multiple animals. They took the time to talk to us about all of the animals and were happy to answer any questions. The bedroom was lovely and so are the surroundings. It is a lovely house with a lovely family, including a friendly dog and cat! We will definitely be back!

  • Lyndon and daughters are all delightful and thoughtful. They are happy to help whilst getting on with daily life and business. The horses were fabulous and other animals were fun. It's a no fuss place, we had a big room, super snacks, very powerful shower, comfy bed. Plenty of walks from the farm. Lutterworth nearby lovely little town exploring by day or evening restaurants, bars and take aways. When we are in the area and need a bnb we would definitely stay again.

Greylag is a luxury heated lakeside cabin, designed and built on our farm. Curl up under a cosy throw on the super comfortable double bed (400 thread count sheets), or choose from seating areas inside, on the deck overlooking the lake, or by the fire pit with its inbuilt barbecue. Browse the internet using our fast broadband. Your own luxury shower room and toilet is a short walk away. As well as Greylag we have another cabin, Mallard (also on Airbnb).
Isolation in beautiful countryside in the heart of England. We have stripped our cabins down to the essentials, so you can relax and savour the beauty of the natural surroundings. We won't interrupt. The nearest railway station is Market Harborough, less than an hour from London St Pancras and four miles from the farm. Taxi fare from the station is under £10. Our farm lies in an historic area, near to the site of the Battle of Naseby. There is lots to see within a short drive, and the Jurassic Way footpath cuts through the farm. Greylag is an ecological cabin, fully insulated, with heat and hot water solar powered (with electrical back up). Tea and coffee and cool box are provided but you'll need to bring all your own food, or drive to nearby pubs and restaurants to eat. The multi award winning farm shop cafe 'Farndon Fields' (farm shop restaurant of the year 2016) is a short drive away. Drinking water is available from a tap by the front door. You can BBQ on your own fire pit (the only cooking facility). Logs from our own woodland can be purchased on site.
The Welland Valley is great for outdoor activities, e.g. walking, cycling, gliding, fishing and bird watching. The unspoilt countryside is rich in historic sites, country houses, local food & drink producers and picturesque towns.
  • We had a wonderful time in Greylag Cabin at Marston Lodge. The place is truly amazing: quiet, calm and peaceful. The pond is beautiful, full of fish and the surrounding area is wonderful. You can take a long walk around the farm through the forest and meadow. There's a great place for BBQ with a box of dry firewood. The cabin on the lake is a cosy little place with a very comfortable bed. The fully equipped bathroom is a short walk from the cabin. If you're looking for a peaceful and romantic getaway in the nature, this place is for you!

  • We loved everything about this place! The cabin and surroundings are so serene, we had a very relaxing weekend here. The cabin itself is beautiful and the view over the lake is just wow! Chris was an awesome host, so friendly and welcoming. We are already planning our next trip back!

  • Highly recommend!!! So much so we are looking forward to coming back in the Summer! The place was clean, modern and exceeded our expectations! Bed and furniture was comfortable and our host Chris was so friendly and such a nice guy! Lots of useful information and wifi an added bonus to look for things to do in the area! Cannot believe I found this little gem of a place!!! We can't thank you enough! :)

    Emma2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at Marston Lodge. The cabin was clean, cosy and set in an idyllic location. There are 2 cabins on the lake and we chose to stay in Mallard cabin which was at the end of the lake, rather than Greylag which is more in the middle. Both cabins have a great view but we loved watching the nesting Greylag geese on the island in the middle of the lake just in front of our balcony/decking area. The fire pit was excellent and it was great to sit out most evenings. Chris was a superb host who really tried to make sure we had a great stay. Overall an excellent experience and we will definitely be back!

    Hannah2019-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Just back from a 2 night stay in Greylag. Everything was perfect and well thought out. From the decor in the cabin to the warm inviting private bathroom. Both Chris and his family made our stay relaxing and were very accommodating with any needs we had. The area around the cabins is stunning and we took a couple of walks to explore. The fire pit/BBQ were perfect for lazy evenings by the lake and our afternoons were spent on the veranda watching the fish and ducks play in the lake. All in all the perfect weekend getaway. We would definitely return again in a heart beat.

We are nestled in a lovely South Leicestershire village in the heart of rural England. We have great walks on our doorstep along with fishing lakes and an assortment of eating/drinking establishments. We are only a 20minute drive from two market towns with shops and coffee and cake opportunities galore! The Loft has a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, tea, coffee and crockery etc.to make it a perfect self contained place to stay. A seating area in our garden is available too.
A basic breakfast of cereal, and toast with honey and marmalade is included but there is plenty of storage if you wished to bring other foods with you. I would happily take care of washing any dirty dishes etc.

A staircase leads to a light and airy bedroom with a king size bed, drawers and a wardrobe. There is an en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.
It has its own patio area with table and chairs overlooking fields. There is a comfortable sofa and table and chairs, which can double as a laptop friendly work area. In the kitchen area there is a full size fridge/freezer, a full size integrated dishwasher, a microwave, a gas hob and full size electric fan oven. On the worktop there's a toaster a coffee maker and a kettle. We provide towels, sheets, loo rolls, milk, coffee, tea and basic condiments. Kibworth is five miles from Market Harborough which is a lovely old market town with historical buildings, excellent independent shops and four major supermarkets. Our home is easily ideally located. Just 2 miles from a local market town and within easy reach of Foxton Locks and beautiful walks. It is also only 15 minutes from the main motorway. London is only an hour away from the local railway station too. Our place now has 3 areas that can be used for guests, either as a group or family as well as being good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
Our place is homely and welcoming. The bedroom is light and airy with a tray for tea and coffee should you wish to make a cuppa in your room. We live in a cluster of 18 houses in a small village which is very friendly and well worth 45mins to have a stroll around or visit the local pub which does a good selection of meals.
We love living in our village. The neighbours are friendly and so are the villagers. It is a lovely place to take a stroll or if you are feeling energetic, a longer walk along the canal to the locks for a cuppa and a break before returning is always therapeutic. Market Harborough is 2 miles away, a 40 minute walk or a bus trip if you do not have a car. It is a market town and has plenty of eateries and places to stop for a coffee. There is a mix of independent shops and names you will find familiar.
  • Wendy and Kal are very friendly, hospitable hosts who have a very clean, tidy and lovely home.. they provide a lovely breakfast of cereals, toasts ( with breads of different kinds), fruits, yoghurt and coffee/ tea of course... oh and fruit juice ( Wendy, forgive me if I have forgotten anything!)... they are very happy to have a chat but equally will provide privacy if that is what they sense you require.. we enjoyed our chats and their tips on what to see... thanks Kal for the Foxton Locks directions ( a must see).. the nearby pub is a bonus for dinner although Wendy is happy for guests to use their kitchen... tea and coffee/ water provided in room and also an assortment of books about UK and Lubenham.. all in all, we wish we had a few more days to stay.. we would return if possible and recommend this AirBnB to anyone who is interested.. ps we visited Althorp House which is about 30 mins drive prior to checking in.. many thanks Wendy and Kal..

  • This was my first Air B&B stay & what a fantastic experience it was. Wendy & Kal are a delightful couple & their house is beautiful & spotlessly clean. Nothing was too much trouble & I was made to feel extremely welcome. I genuinely can’t fault the entire visit. If I am in the area again & need somewhere to stay, I wouldn’t hesitate to contact Wendy. I can’t recommend their house & hospitality highly enough. Thank you Wendy & Kal for my stay.

  • Wendy's place is a home from home... Both her and her husband are adorable! very nice and friendly and the breakfast was extraordinary! We had fresh fruit, cereals and even a gooseberry curd home made that was delicious! Very good value... It was extremely clean and the bathroom very easy to use and although it was shared, it was kept impeccable! A great place to stop as well as beautiful surroundings.. We'll repeat, absolutely!

  • Just back from a great stay in Lubenham to join in celebrations with friends in Market Harborough. Wendy and Kal are excellent hosts and their home is a delight to stay in, warm, relaxed and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome and had everything we needed in our room, but also welcomed to use the kitchen, and sit in the garden. Friendly advice on places nearby to visit during the day. We went to Foxton Lock and had a great time. Also tips on finding good parking in the town. Highly recommended!

  • Trevor's little bedsit is in a quaint village but, you'll need a car as the nearest supermarket is a 15 min drive away!. The accommodation is basic, and in need of some tlc, but adequate for a short trip. I was staying for 8 weeks and I missed having an oven and, apart from a couple of saucepans and some cutlery there were no kitchen utensils provided. Trevor is a lovely host, very friendly and helpful and supplied me with an iron and an ironing board very quickly when I asked but, there was nowhere to hang my clothes and, it was 4 weeks before I was offered clean sheets [by which time I'd bought my own]. Having said all that, the bed was super comfy which was much appreciated

We have three beautiful ensuite rooms available in our spacious family home, nestled amongst miles and miles of greenery and farms. The house is comfortable and spacious and offers exquisite views of rural middle England. Guests are welcome to explore our beautiful grounds, which are home to horses, a pig, cats and chickens. All rooms are provided with a kettle, teas and coffees, a toaster and continental breakfast, as well as Wi-Fi, a television and hairdryer. Free Parking is also available.
All three bedrooms are ensuite and extremely spacious, with under-floor heating. All rooms are provided with a kettle, teas and coffees, a toaster and continental breakfast, as well as Wi-Fi, a television, hairdryer, fresh towels and toiletries. They are both keen horse riders and polo players and can arrange to take you for a ride on one of their horses upon request (for a small fee) They will even cook you a full English breakfast if you’d like! (this would be extra) Dogs are welcome at a £10 per night per dog charge. There is a supermarket a mile away that is open until late, the impeccable Grey Goose is only a mile away and offers exquisite British food in a delightful setting, with rave reviews on TripAdvisor. There are also plenty of English pubs to explore. The house is gated and extremely safe and is one in a hamlet of four others. While you are in our beautiful town of Lutterworth you can visit the beautiful Stanford Hall stately home and take in its exquisite grounds and drive a military tank around a WW2 bombing range at Armourgeddon.
  • Great place in the country.

  • We really enjoyed our night at the house. Lynden’s communication before and during our stay was excellent, plus she was flexible on our arrival and departure times which was particularly helpful as we had our 4 month old baby son with us. The bedroom was spacious, clean and comfortable with plenty of room for our travel cot next to the bed. There were nice touches including some snacks and breakfast goodies in the room (as well as a box of complimentary eggs from the resident chickens!). I would recommend this place as it had everything we needed and was great value for money. Thank you!

I especially love the velux windows with a gentle breeze during a warm night and to wake watching the moon move across the sky whilst relaxed in bed. A lovely breakfast set up in the kitchen the next morning. We couldn't have asked for more from such wonderful hosts. A 'must stay' if you are in the area.

It is also the perfect pitstop if you are passing through or visiting family and friends. We are a 15 minute drive from Market Harborough train station.
The Barn is a light and airy open-plan space, with underfloor heating and a log-burner creating a cosy atmosphere on chilly evenings. With modern fittings and a fully equipped kitchen, everything is set up for a comfortable stay. Upstairs is the bathroom, double bedroom and a large twin room.
  • The Barn is a great place to stay. It shares an enclosed courtyard with the farm house which is busy with cars and horses and many comings and goings. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the hosts and their dogs and super friendly and welcoming. A car free lane opening into a field immediately outside the gates was a perfect place to walk the dog and the village of Laughton was absolutely stunning. A great weekend’s break was had by our whole party. Thanks Jules and family for a lovely stay!

  • What a lovely place to stay. Jules and her family were very friendly and welcoming, and the barn was a comfortable and cosy place to be! Great walking locations for your four legged friends and the hot water hose area for muddy paws is fantastic! I would definitely book again :)

  • Absolutely fantastic stay with Jules. The acccommodation is outstanding and Jules is a wonderful host, my 18 month old was in her element and I couldn’t have asked for anything more (and if I had done I’m sure Jules would have happily provided!). You couldn’t want for anything, everything is provided and the full kitchen is brilliant! Thank you!

  • 4 of us stayed here with 2 dogs and there was more than enough room for us all. Spent a cosy quiet night here. Jules’ barn was a perfect location for us with plenty of walks for the dogs, and Jules couldn’t have been more helpful advising us where to go. The outside hot water to use to clean the dogs was a really nice extra. Would happily recommend to everyone

  • Great communication from Jules from the start. her hospitality was fantastic and included lovely little touches such as fresh croissants in the morning. The location was beautiful and really peaceful. Jules gave us plenty of local information about places to eat and walks to take. Couldn't have asked for more.

  • A fantastic place to stay. The Barn is clean, comfortable, spacious and is extremely well equipped. The village is quiet and the surrounding countryside is beautiful, although there is easy access to the M1 and surrounding areas of interest. Jules responded quickly to all communication and she and her daughter made us feel extremely welcome. We could not recommend The Barn highly enough and hope to visit again soon.

  • Where to start, probably my favourite Airbnb stay so far, location was wonderfully peaceful, and Jules's & Tom's hospitality was amazing, really made us all feel at home. We didn't want to leave the barn. The accommodation was perfect, and we loved spending time both with them and their super friendly pets. We hope to be back again soon.

  • We booked this experience to ensure we had the opportunity to taste local Hungarian cuisine while staying in Budapest, Nelli exceeded our expectations. She promptly met us at our meet-up location already having treats in hand to get the adventures started. She quickly adapted to our unique interests and needs while keeping to the planned itinerary as much as possible . Through our experience and adventures with Nelli we had the opportunity to taste local tradition and learn about local cuisine that we would not have otherwise been able to. This is experience is focused around the food, but the history and unique personal touch that Nelli brings along with her, makes the food so much richer and enjoyable. Nelli was amazing with our 5 year old, which I am sure is not the norm for a culinary tour of this type, but she was extremely gracious and patient with us and ensured our experience was as unique as possible. Köszönöm for sharing your local cuisine and culture with us!

  • We stayed here under extreme weather conditions: it was terribly cold and had snowed the day of our arrival. The flat was therefore very cold. It got a little better after two days as the heating had had time to warm up the flat. The flat we were given was not the one we had originally chosen but suited us. The owner had very kindly added an extra bed. Excellent television and Wifi services. Owner gave us his kettle and added a fridge on the second day which was great. Very quietly located.
