Step through the door and admire the minimalist allure of Scandinavian design. In fact, this studio was reimagined and remodeled by Swedish artists who saw to every detail. The kitchen is cool and efficient. The sleeping loft is warm and inviting. This is a studio apartment with a queen size loft bed and a full size sofa sleeper. The apartment is on the 4th floor and overlooks Pine Street. Unfortunately there is no elevator.
• Reclaimed wood loft bed. • Full size sofa sleeper. • Fully equipped kitchen with reclaimed wood shelving. • Washer/Dryer on the same floor of building free of charge. • Plenty of closet space.
The studio is in Midtown Village, perhaps the most centrally located neighborhood in town. It's walking distance to Independence Hall, City Hall, the Convention Center, and Rittenhouse Square. The area is full of excellent restaurants and bars.
  • This is a bright & airy apartment in a great location. The location was stellar - an easy walk to SO MUCH, with a excellent coffee shop just across the street. The afternoon light through the windows is gorgeous & the view of street art is pretty Philly-perfect. Cute bathroom w/great shower pressure. The only noise I suffered came from the slamming of doors in the hallway - they vibrate the bed with each slam, so this place is NOT for light sleepers! However, I never had any issue with street noise. The cleaning crew didn't do its best in the bathroom & kitchen, but these concerns were taken care of right away. Rob the managing host was a great communicator & very helpful, super quick to solve any problems & answer any questions.

  • This location is THE BEST. It's so centrally located, and you really can't beat it. The actual space can be a little tricky with the lofted bed, which creates a few inconveniences (no outlet up there, no light up there, a little fussy to get in/out of bed for a middle-of-the-night pee). Otherwise, the space is well-designed and did I mention the great locale? : )

  • Great location and comfort

    Dane2018-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great space in an amazing location—such a cool vibe as I explored the neighborhood! The loft bed was a fun experience and it was nice to have a desk to work from, as I traveling for work. There are several delicious places to eat within walking distance and a CVS nearby for any last minute things you forget!

  • We had a great time staying at Folke & Johnny's place! Cute apartment in a central location to all Philly attractions.

    Elizabeth2018-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • Folke and Johnny’s communication is great leading up to and throughout your stay! Check in and out are super easy and the apartment is clean and welcoming. The location is great!

  • Very cool space in one of my favorite cities, 10/10 would book again

    Kyle2018-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • The place is located in a lovely neighbourhood, full of cute restaurants and nice streets, I enjoyed walking around a lot. The apartment has everything one might need. The check-in/check-out process is so easy and I liked that fact that there were no keys, no stress one might loose it. I liked the recommendations about restaurants in the area, it is a great start when new in town.

The apartment is located in a beautiful neighborhood right by South street. It is right in the heart of Philly ! The apartment is a quirky studio featuring new hardwood floors and a lofted bed. My place is close to South St, Bob & Barbara's, La.Va Cafe, Pumpkin, Good Karma Cafe. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The apartment has no stairs up to it and opens up to a common court yard. Being steps from broad street you are in the heart of the city.
The apartment is located inside of a courtyard. There is a ladder inside the apartment to get up to the loft bed. The apartment is a a quirky studio with a fireplace (no longer active). The apartment has great natural light, and beautiful new hardwood floors. There is a pop up closet in the apartment (Hangers provided) The entire studio has new hardwood floors. There is a full kitchen. There is a dinning table set for 4. Under the loft there is a couch that folds down to provide a bed for a 3rd guest. The left features a queen sized bed. You must go up the ladder to get to the bed ! The bathroom is newly renovated. There is a new shower, toilet, vanity, and fixtures.
The apartment is located in a beautiful neighborhood right by South street. It is arguable the heart of Philly ! It is a great area to visit when coming to Philly.South Street is always buzzing no matter if you visit on a Tuesday afternoon or a Friday night. South St is long known as the edgiest street in Philadelphia, South Street is a melting pot of groups and cultures. Residents and visitors, teenagers and adults, preppies and punk rockers, artists and attorneys all mix seamlessly together on the storied boulevard. Shoppers searching for a statement-making look, visitors hungry for a real Philly cheesesteak and music lovers who want to catch an up-and-coming band all head to South Street. Ethnically diverse restaurants, bars that keep the party going long after dessert and galleries and performance spaces help make South Street the place where everyone meets. Business people saunter down the block from nearby Washington Square West and Society Hill to mingle with their more Bohemian counterparts for lunch, while visitors flock to the area to savor their first Philly cheesesteak at Jim’s and residents stop by The Chef’s Market for some groceries. Mirroring this diverse mix of fun-to-watch pedestrians is a wonderfully eclectic lineup of over 300 shops and more than 60 eateries, cafes and bars. Most stores are independently owned and have similarly minded signage. The area’s restaurants reflect the various ethnic flavors of several nearby neighborhoods. There are also several performance venues featuring fringe theater and live music. This is absolutely on of the best places to stay when visiting Philly.
  • Great location and cute apt. We had everything we needed and were close to where we needed to be while in town. Would def stay there again!

  • Really nice place to stay in Philadelphia, close to City Center and to beautiful South Street. We loved it! Host is very reactive and helpful.

    Sophie2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great! Great location, right off Broad and South. Very private, the entrance to the apt. is through a private/shared courtyard, both the gate and the door are coded for keyless access. Would stay with these hosts again any time!

  • Maddie's place was just what I needed. It is a perfect space for a solo traveller. Great location within easy walking distance of many good restaurants and shops. Some light will come through from the courtyard at night, so it may not be the best option if you are a light sleeper.

    Elizabeth2018-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We saw a mouse in the apartment the second day of our stay and when we reached out to the hosts to figure out a way to resolve the issue they were completely unresponsive. We found a mouse trap and droppings in the apartment, which let us know that the hosts were aware of the issue and still rented out the space to us. After waiting a few hours we got the Airbnb support team involved and when they were unable to contact the hosts we relocated to a different Airbnb. The apartment definitely needs some work done as the toilet feels unstable, the towel rack was ripped off the wall, and then there was the obvious mouse problem.

    Ashley2019-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and very clean. Within walking distance of downtown philly.

    Julia2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • I loved Maddie's place! It's in a great location, super close to a lot of cool and interesting bars and restaurants on 13th, as well as the theaters and shops off Broad/Walnut Streets. It's off a quiet street, and the courtyard that provides access to the apartment is secluded and quiet. The space itself is well situated for a night-or-two stay, as there's a very comfortable bed, an adequate bathroom, and basic kitchen. There were a few things I found a bit difficult to work around such as: 1. No bathroom counter space, which made it difficult to manage my morning/night routine, as I had to repeatedly open/close the medicine cabinet to access what I needed. 2. The towel rack in the bathroom is broken off, so I had to hang my towel on the broken piece of the towel rack that remains in the wall. 3. The kitchen has very limited counter space, and no real place for drying dishes, which can be frustrating if you are making food and using a lot of dishes3. 4. I'm 6 feet tall, so I really couldn't utilize much of the space under the loft, so I mainly kept my suitcases and laundry down there. For shorter folks, you may find it much more suitable. The place is a great choice for a few days' stay, and if I am in Philly again for a shorter period of time, I'd definitely consider staying here again.

    Paul2019-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Maddie's place is super convenient! 10-15 minutes walk gets you anywhere you want in downtown Philly. Many restaurants, cafes nearby. The room is rather basic, but I was out most of the time during the day anyway, so it didn't bother me much.

This studio is in an unbeatable location, it's a great home base to explore the city. It's about a half block from Broad Street and a half block from South street. It's located on a smaller side street so it's somewhat insulated from the bustle. The studio has central heat, a queen sized memory foam bed, and an efficiency kitchen.
  • All around a very pleasant and efficient experience

  • Jacobs place was a last minute absolutely great decision to stay the next in Philadelphia. Super convenient and located right where I needed. Will be using again!

    Kyle2019-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • Overall, the place was a great value. The location is very convenient to city center (about a 15 minute walk to the convention center) and a lot of excellent bars, restaurants, art, and historical sites within walking distance. Perfect for 1 or 2 people for a short stay. There were some issues with the cleanliness when I first arrived due to a miscommunication with the cleaning person. Jacob was very responsive, apologetic, and accommodating regarding this issue and resolved the issue promptly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to explore South Philadelphia and have a convenient and affordable place to crash.

This sun-filled studio is located on the 2nd floor of my beautiful home in the heart of center city--location can't be beat! The apartment has a brand new bathroom, newly finished floors, and plenty of space. The studio has a mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave--so it has everything you need except a stove :)
This studio is on the 2nd floor of a beautiful, historic walkup building right off Broad Street. It's a sun-filled, spacious room with an ensuite, private bathroom. The space has a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee maker so it's very self-contained. The space also has an iron, ironing board and closet space so it's great for business travelers as well.
The apartment is located in a great neighborhood, Washington Square West. It is a very safe and fun area to be in. Three neighborhoods in one: That’s the perfect way to describe Washington Square West, a thriving enclave that includes Midtown Village and the Gayborhood. Midtown Village maintains its own personality thanks to a small-business boom concentrated on the 13th Street corridor, where power couple Marcie Turney and Valerie Safran preside over a handful of popular restaurants and shops. The Gayborhood sets itself apart with dozens of rainbow street signs throughout the area, along with many LGBTQ-focused restaurants and bars. Washington Square itself — one of five original public squares in Philadelphia — ties the whole area together. Here, picnickers, families and residents gather to enjoy the open space. There are so many great attractions right in Washington Square West. The main attractions include: Washington Square, The walnut St Theater, and the Philadelphia Magic Gardens Great Food to check out: Vetri, Talula's Garden and Tulula's Daily, and Tria Wine Beer & Cheese Cafe,
  • The place was extremely clean, and the location of the apartment was ideal for walking around to all the great parts of the city. Pictures are exactly as how it looks in person. Susan was great at quick and reliable correspondence, and the check in/ out process was very easy. Just a logistical tip for those driving into the area: the parking around here is a little difficult, and you may have to put your car into a parking deck. Still very worth it for the price though!

    Jessica2018-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • When someone says that the key will be under the mat and it isn’t, and there’s no other way to get in, that’s quite frustrating. I was on a delayed plane so I had a friend go ahead of me to get the key. No key. When I replied (when I landed finally) at 1am, it was too late. My friend had found elsewhere to stay.

    Andrew2019-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s apartment is ideal for young travelers. The building is very well-located and a few steps from the City Hall. During our staying a construction was going on in front of the house which was very annoying and disturbing. If you are planning to rent this room, consider that sometimes the neighbours are very noisy over you (even at night).

    Botond2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Susan’s studio was exactly as described. It is very small with no frills, but in a great location. We were really happy to be on a quiet street near so many good restaurants and bars. Susan was very communicative and the check in/check out process was super easy and convenient. However, there were two drawbacks to staying there. First, we thought the bed was incredibly uncomfortable and woke up with back aches each day. Second, as others have said, it can be quite noisy. I don’t mind the ambient street noise; that is a given living in any city. But it seems the entire building is an air bnb. Our first night the room above ours had incredibly noisy guests. We could hear every word of their conversation, which included them yelling at each other, and a guest walking around all night on hardwood floors with high heels. I could hear them over my earplugs even. We were then woken up the next morning by some loud intimate noises. Those guests left after our first night and the next guest (if there even was one) was super quiet. So the quality of your stay will really depend on the guests above you. I think it would really help to put some rugs down in the upstairs unit to help insulate some of the noise. Overall, the studio has good value and is in a great location, but I would probably spend more for more comfort in the future.

    Ashley2019-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Overall a great location within Philadelphia! Super easy self check-in! Only issue was that the toilet did not flush as properly as it should given the old age of the building! Otherwise the host was great in responding to my questions and concerns.

    Aditi2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The place was fine. It was clean enough, but I don't think it was quite worth the money. The other people staying in the building who were also Airbnb guests were loud and we could hear every conversation and thing that they did. It was also pretty cold at night and there was no real comforter on the bed, so we had to sleep on the edge of the bed near the space heater and wear sweatshirts to stay comfortably warm. It was a great location though.

    Lauren2018-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great host. Everything was clean and just how we pictured it. The apartment is situated perfectly for those who have never been to Philly and want to explore. Walking distance to the Magic Gardens and plenty of restaurants nearby.

  • This is a clean, secure and well organized place in a really perfect location for city centre Philly! Comfy bed and great shower. I would go back! The host answered emails, and communicated clearly about how to get into the apartment.

  • Our stay was lovely! Her directions were super clear so we knew exactly where to go and how to get in. The apartment space was very cute, clean, and bright. It was very private and had all the amenities she had listed. The location right off of Broad Street was wonderful and walking distance to a lot. I know I’ll be back in Philly to visit family and I would so definitely stay here again!

Kylie was extremely accommodating regarding our early check in situation! Would 1000% recommend this place to anyone staying in Philly. Will definitely book again if I decide to come back to Philly.

  • A very nice place to stay in Philadelphia on a quiet street only 10-15 minutes walk from the City Hall. The room was bigger than I expected, nicely decorated, however the bathroom was very small with no place to put your washbag. There was a fridge, microwave and a coffee maker in the room. The pillows were a bit high and hard for my taste, and the air conditioning was set a bit low and was controlled throughout the building, no controls in the room itself. The room is on the third floor of the house with a very narrow staircase, which with big suitcases was a bit difficult to negotiate. We never saw Max, but the check in was very easy via a code and we were able to leave our bags in the house before and after. The biggest problem was the noise from a construction going on in the next building, which started early in the morning, but that is certainly a temporary issue.

    Olga2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great value for such a good location

    Kevin2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Max’s place was amazingly located within a short walk of City Hall. The accommodations are modest and all you really need for a short stay in Philly. It was difficult to get drinking water from the tap since the sink is really small, and we had some concerns about the cleanliness of the bedsheets. You can also hear other occupants (or guests) in the home.

  • Hidden gem in the heart of Philly! I highly recommended. Also Max is great at responding back to you.

    Christian2019-05-01T00:00:00Z

  • Great location within 15 minutes walking distance of Convention Center. Small loft space suitable for simple sleeping and eating. Was totally caught off guard by lack of WiFi, however; an expected utility like running water and electricity these days for an Airbnb and never encountered in high income country like USA. Major headache as I had 5 and 7 AM conference calls with European colleagues and nothing else was open nearby. Would not have booked if this info was made explicit in description (vs. listed in amenities).

    Robert2019-08-28T00:00:00Z

This spacious 3rd floor apartment is located in a beautiful and historic rowhome. It's an unbeatable location, just off Broad street and South street and right in center city. The apartment has a bathroom, living area , and separate lofted bed. It can easily sleep 4 people. The lofted bed is a cozy, queen sized bed. The living area has a sofa that pulls into a queen sized bed. There is also a mini-fridge, microwave, and coffee pot in the suite. There's plenty of closet and storage space as well! The apartment does not have a full kitchen.
The main attractions include: Washington Square, The walnut St Theater, and the Philadelphia Magic Gardens Great Food to check out: Vetri, Talula's Garden and Tulula's Daily, and Tria Wine Beer & Cheese Cafe,
  • Susan was very quick responding and check in was smooth. Cute spot great for a couple or some friends staying in the city. My only problem was that there was no television or radio. Literally the only place I’ve ever stayed at that didn’t provide one. It’s very basic in amenities.

    Daniel2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed the place! Quaint and warm with a cool older vibe!

    Jon2019-05-03T00:00:00Z
  • We had a good time at Susan's place. It is well located, only 10 min walking distance from the city centre away. The room was very large, spotless clean and had an air conditioner. We haven't met Susan in person but the communication was great.

    Dimitri2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location. The apartment was super clean and, while there isn’t a full kitchen, there are tons of great places to eat nearby. Susan was super responsive and helped us find parking in a lot nearby. Would recommend!

    Kurt2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • The loft had a great location that was within walking distance of lots of popular places. The place was clean and Susan was great with communication and the check in process.

    Mary2019-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place and super close to a lot of different things worth seeing in Philly. My only complaint would be how cold it was in the apartment, but even that was solved after reaching out to Susan. She was able to contact the landlord to get the heat started. Susan also gave great suggestions for site seeing and restaurants. Really appreciated how easy it was to get in contact with her. Overall, great place and host!

    Briana2019-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay! Cute, great location, easy check-in. Would definitely stay with Susan again the next time I'm in Philly!

    Trish2018-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place to stay. Great location and Susan is quite responsive. There was an issue with the air conditioner by the bed making the loft quite hot, but it could be fixed.

My son's place is a unique Third floor condo located right off South St,close to Tria,Russet,Jet Wine Bar, and Hawthorns. You’ll love my place because there is a full kitchenette,a Large bedroom,a full bathroom, and it is in a great location. The apartment is located just a block off South st, just steps from broad St.and one of the most lively streets in the city. You can get to most anywhere in philly in a fifteen minute walk -- historic area, museum district, ritt square, cheese steak corner.
This fun, unique Third floor apartment is located right in the center of Philly. It's large , clean and in a perfect location. There's a full kitchenette , a full bathroom, and a large bedroom with a new queen sized bed with memory foam mattress. The condo has a unique court yard and the location makes it a great Philadelphia get away ! The condo can easily sleep three people.
This is absolutely one of the best places to stay when visiting Philly.
  • This location is fabulous and just a few steps away from Broad St., South St. and lots of things to do.

    Alexandra2019-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • 5 stars for location and great communication; it was really easy to check in and Luke/Camille were incredibly responsive. It just felt a bit expensive ($200 for two nights) for the quality of the accommodations; the apartment was pretty clean for the most part but everything looked really old. It's my first time staying at an airbnb in Philly and I was surprised because I've stayed with friends in Center City whose apartments were significantly nicer with a pretty low rent. Overall I would recommend this because I had trouble finding reasonably priced accommodations; I guess Philly is just an expensive place to airbnb.

This fun, unique little private space is located on the 2nd floor of my home. The apartment features a large bedroom, private bathroom, and a second bedroom with a single sized bed. The apartment is on the 2nd floor of a beautiful, historic house in a gated courtyard . It's a great space for those looking to explore the city for few nights :)
This apartment is on the 2nd floor of a beautiful historic home. The apartment is entirely private and has a unique layout. It has 2 bedrooms accessed from a small living area. The larger bedroom is front facing and gets plenty of light. It has a queen sized bed and wardrobe. This bedroom is connected to the small living room , it does not have a door to close it off from the living room. The bedrooms are connected by a jack and jill style bathroom. The bathroom has a waterfall style shower, hair dyer, and all new fixtures. It can be locked from both doors for privacy. The second bedroom has a single bed, this is a separate room that can be locked. The apartment can comfortably fit 3 guests. The apartment also has a small living area with a couch, mini-fridge, and microwave. The first floor of the home has a full kitchen and living space. If you would like access to this space during your stay you must request this before your stay. Use of the kitchen is NOT included in your booking. There is a flat fee of $30 to use the kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking supplies and has all new appliances, including a dishwasher. The kitchen is a shared space. The house is located in a gated courtyard just a half block from both South Street and Broad Street. It's somewhat insulated from the noise and bustle of the city and offers a quieter atmosphere. There is definitely some ambient noise, but that's to be expected in Center City. It's an incredible location for exploring the city.

    Catherine2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very dissatisfied with this host. Myself and 2 friends booked this apartment during late April of 2019. We were in constant communication with Luke, he was very responsive throughout the process, UNTIL there was an issue with the cleanliness of the apartment. Dirty sheets on the bed, dirty towels still damp hanging on door frames, trash cans full etc. He told us the apartment would be clean by 4pm, so that is when we checked in and that was also the last we heard from him. We attempted contacting Megan and Luke for about 3 hours after check in, email, calling, messaging through AirBnb app, no response at all. It's going on 7pm, no response and we are in a dirty environment. We ended up calling the AirBnb support and they were able to get us into someplace else (Liana is amazing!!). I have been waiting to write this review because of how upset this experience made us. I would not try to stay here again.

  • Very affordable living space, accommodating and communicative hosts, and a great location.

    Donald2019-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely one of the best Airbnb's I've had while in the US. Very spacious and generally clean. I just had an issue with my bed's sheets being stained. Easily resolved by covering it with one of the sheets the host had. No foul odor throughout the place. Water pressure was consistent. The hairdryer wasn't working though and I didn't get a quick response on how to resolve that. Very clear instructions about how to access the place as it is within a courtyard. The stairs to the room can be quite steep so take caution when carrying heavy luggage. Overall, we had a comfortable stay.

    Naomi2019-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous location close to city hall! Tons of sleeping space and a separate bedroom made it really great.

    Marina2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • The space is great and the communication was spectacular. The apartment itself is in a super walkable area, which was spectacular because apparently the city of Philadelphia doesn't like to make it easy for people to park.

The apartment is located in a beautiful neighborhood right by South street. It is right in the heart of Philly ! The apartment is newly renovated and features a small roofdeck looking over the courtyard. My place is close to South St,, Bob & Barbara's, La.Va Cafe, Pumpkin, Good Karma Cafe. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. The roof deck and courtyard make this a great destination. Being steps from broad street you are in the heart of the city.

  • Conveniently located and a great value! I stayed at Maddie's place for 3 nights in May for my nephew's college graduation. The apartment could not have been more conveniently located. All the sites of Center City and beyond were easily in walking distance. It was also just outside the noisier streets, so it was quiet enough to sleep at night. It is a bit spartan in the amenities, but has everything you really need besides a stove/oven to cook. I would definitely stay here again.

  • A great visit to Philly and a comfortable apartment in a great location!

    Ben2018-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, within walking distance to many different neighborhoods and fun things to do, eat, drink, and explore! Check in was easy. The space was minimal but comfortable. Didn’t get to use the roof top deck so much because it was raining; my one complaint was that the ashtrays were full of cigarettes and had not been cleaned. Hosts were responsive. I’d stay again!

    Lindsay2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Really great area within walking distance of a lot of places. Apartment was very neat and clean. Very cute outdoor deck and garden area when you first enter. Only drawbacks were that the downstairs needed a paint job (paint peeling off walls) and the neighbors could be heard through the walls (but not so much so that it was disruptive).

  • Great location. Great value. If you're coming into the city and are looking for a place to sleep that's walkable to city center and other attractions, this is the place for you. Almost everything within the city is walkable if you're cool with anything around a mile. Tons of places to eat and shop, particularly along South street. Seemed safe as well. If you're spending the most of your days walking around with friends, this is a great choice. It definitely feels lived in, but nothing deterred us or made us have to reach out to the host. Communication could also not have been better.

  • Fantastic location in a pretty neighborhood, with loads of restaurants and shops nearby. Very close to a subway stop to get to other parts of the city as well. Feels very private, although you might hear a little street noise on weekends...but that's a small price to pay for being somewhere so central. The space has great natural light and is very stylish, with a great layout. Highly recommended!

  • What a wonderful space!! As a frequent traveler to Philly with friends and family in the area, you cannot beat the location! We were close to everything we love! The space was warm, bright, stylish and clean! The kitchen is very nice with a gas stove and oven. The space is in the heart of Philly and has some of the expected city noise, but Pete has generously provided a noise machine and ear plugs. The noise machine was plenty for my fiancé and myself. Overall, we had a wonderful week in this Airbnb and look forward to returning in the future. We highly recommend if you are planning a trip to Philadelphia!

  • We had a bit of an issue with this apartment. When we checked in, the place was a complete mess--food on the floor, dirty dishes in the sink, a toothbrush in the bed, etc. The hosts were apologetic and quickly responded to our request that someone come and clean the place. Their explanation was that their cleaner did clean the apartment when the last guest checked out and they had no idea how it suddenly got so dirty. If this explanation is true, it didn't really make me feel any better--it left me wondering how someone could access the apartment and trash it without their knowledge or consent. It made me feel a little nervous staying there with my very young son. Again, the hosts were polite and quick to act when we reported the problem. Otherwise, the check in instructions were clear and the neighborhood was easily walkable, central and quiet.

  • Great spot! Clean and comfortable apartment in a safe building. Parking was a huge plus and made life a lot easier when using my car. Thank you Manuela and Christian for the amazing communication to resolve the issue when I arrived. It was clearly my fault, I didn’t read the directions well. The location of the apartment is great. Lots of good food and scenery while being in a quiet neighborhood. Also this spot is centrally located, within walking distances to many great historical landmarks and phenomenal restaurants. Highly recommend, apartment was perfect for our needs, to rest and sleep at night.

  • Great apartment for a short trip. The rooftop deckhas great views. Bed was comfy, but has microfiber sheets, so bring your own if you sleep hot. Plenty of room for 2 people and in a cool little neighborhood. Would recommend to anyone making a quick trip to Philly!

  • This apartment is great for a couple wanting to stay in a good location that's within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and bars. Also, it's within a block or two of a subway station that will bring you directly (about 5 stops south) to the sports stadiums (Eagles, Phillies) and the Wells Fargo Center--great way to avoid vehicle traffic going to and coming from sports games and concerts! There were a few minor issues with cleanliness when we arrived, and there weren't many dishes or pieces of silverware (max 4 per type, but some with less than that). Hopefully these things will be resolved for future guests!

    Valerie2019-07-23T00:00:00Z

You'll have a private mini-fridge on the 2nd floor , so kitchen access is totally optional :) There is a sliding patio door in the kitchen that leads to a private courtyard. The courtyard is shared with several other buildings, but is a unique, outdoor space in the city.
  • Great location, great room

  • Max’s place is clean, quiet and has everything you need. Great location to either walk to the sights or take the subway that is a block away! I would definitely stay here again.

    Nancy2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Max is a great host that respond very quickly to my queries and give good tips for my trip. The location is great and central to the attractions or food places. However, the wifi is not working very well for us during our stay. Other than that, the whole experience is great and I certainly will be back here to stay if I visit Philly again!

  • Elizabeth was an excellent host! She was there when we needed a last minute place to stay, and it was beautiful!

    Jordan2019-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth is a great host and her place was very well maintained and the location is great as well. The place was very thoughtfully designed with all the amenities provided. Only little concern is that the only bathroom is on top floor with steep two floors walk up.

    Keshav2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a great stay here. Came for work, and was not in the space much, but it was a great find. Located to all the things you want to be near (transit, shops, restaurants) and also very adorable as an apartment, itself. Communication with hosts was great. Highly recommend if you are in Philly.

    Jordan2018-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • House location is AWESOME. Walking distance to a lot of things, felt safe, and loved the neighborhood. Heed warnings about the stairs! It's a good workout to get to the bathroom, but loved the magic of it all. House had everything we needed and felt clean and welcoming. Easy check in and check out. Great experience. (My only notreallyacomplaint comment: water pressure in the shower needs some love!)

    Cynthia2018-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place was beautiful and so cozy! The neighborhood is great, with lots of great places to eat and explore within walking distance. The stairs definitely take some getting used to, but everything else was perfect for our two-week stay. Thanks, Elizabeth!

    Adam2019-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time in Elizabeth's home. Very comfortable and cozy. Great local recommendations too! Prime location, we walked everywhere. Stairs can be challenging late night ;) but overall a great getaway!

    Andrea2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • This unit is truly unique. A heritage home in the making. Its link to Philadelphia history (as a Trinity home) made our first visit to this wonderful city that much more special. While the incessant need to use stairs is not for everyone, we saw the richness of its history, the eclectic beauty, the ultra-efficient use of space and the close proximity to the heart of Phillie as elements of a dream trip. The amenities were as promised, the access was trouble free and the space, though tight, served three adults well enough to sleep and entertain to our satisfaction. Eating-in was a logistical challenge because the kitchen is in the basement. Eating out was a delight because there are soooooo many venues within a ten-minute walk. We had an excellent stay in large part because of the location and amenities of this unit.

    Robert2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth’s home is an absolute gem. The location is perfect! Walkable to everywhere in Center City including Rittenhouse and Old City! The house is stylish, comfortable, and spotlessly clean. Be aware if you are adverse to stairs - this house is four levels. Otherwise an amazing space, easy self check in. We had the most lovely time.

  • Very comfy quaint apartment

    Ismail2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Glenn and Kelly's place was fantastic. Super clean and in a great area where everything is in walking distance. Also, very well decorated. I will say that parking can get tough because it's such a trendy area, so I just parked in a lot. Even so, my boyfriend parked on the street and he was fine. Highly suggest this play if you're looking for somewhere downtown.

  • Glenn and Kelly’s place is beautiful, very recently updated, with a beautiful modern aesthetic. I felt like I was the first person to stay here! Great AC on one of the first hot days of summer was much appreciated. The location can’t be beat, and communication and check in were super convenient! I would stay here again!

    Danielle2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great experience staying at Karrie’s place. The location is close to everything. There is a subway station at the corner and it’s pretty walkable to explore the city Centre. Please note that no TV available in the room. If the host could provide some travel tips and detailed check in and out instructions, that would be even awesome. Overall, it’s a great place to be recommended.

    Lee2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Kerries place was very well located, Just a few steps from the subway and a block from South St., in a vibrant fun neighborhood. The place was clean, stylish and bright and had a private balcony we really loved. Unfortunately, as WE KNEW from previous reviews, there was no microwave or any cookware to even heat anything in the oven. Never the less, we would definitely stay here again.

Budget room in Center City-South Bella Vista/Ave of the Arts I welcome you no matter what your ethnic, religion, or sexual orientation, background. I believe in diversity. The room is located in a private 3 bedroom modern town home, that is 11 years old. The room is cozy and comfortable. There are no pets or smoking inside of the home. Also there are no candles or incense allow, due to safety issues.
The room is private and located on the second floor in a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath town home. The owner lives on site. The room is eleven by eleven. The room is bright with two windows that produce loads of sunlight. The room has a keyed lock, closet, queen sized bed, linens, towels, toiletries, small refrigerator stocked with water, sweet tea, and light snacks. The room has oil-scented plug in.
Unofficially the neighborhood is called Bella/Vista/Hawthorne/Ave of Arts. The home is located in the 700 block of South Juniper between Bainbridge and Fitzwater. Officially, the City of Philadelphia refers to it as Center City-South. The transit score is 100, walking score is 98, and biking is 100. The fire station is 300 feet away. The home is located within a 5-20-minute walk to all Center City venues. Broad Street is located half block away. The following buses; 27, 32, 4 are a mere minute away from the house. The Lombard/South subway location is a 3-minute walk. If you are traveling by air, you can pick up the Bus 37 at the airport. At the final designation you can board the Bus 4 which will bring you a half block from the house. The total cost is $3.00. If you are traveling by other modes of transportation such as bus or train, public transportation will cost $2.25. Of course if you are driving, there is off street parking available. The home has a 2 car driveway.
  • I enjoyed my stay a lot! The neighborhood is great and save! The people in the house were very welcoming and friendly and the room tidy, organized with a lot of great details!

    Florian2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • I found Iantha's place very comfortable and suitable for the purpose. There was an amazing supply of various items people might need to use - everything from candy to tums, lots of soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. I liked having the water cups and glasses and the individual bathmats were a nice touch. I didn't use the kitchen, but it looked well-stocked and convenient. Appreciated the tip about the Morning Glory Diner at 10th and Fitzwater - a terrific place to have breakfast!

  • Great place for a budget! Lots of thoughtful touches throughout. It is clear the host takes a lot of pride in making your stay comfortable. Make sure you ask for parking information before your stay, and do so via text and not via Airbnb (as instructed) or you could have issues.

    Constance2019-08-02T00:00:00Z

Welcome to Philadelphia! Stay in this dazzling retreat in the Center of Downtown. Filled with natural light and modern decor, it's walkable to the very best landmarks, restaurants, and night spots the city has to offer. Book Now!
Modern studio complete with everything you will need for your stay. Cooking utensils in the kitchen, including coffee, drawers and closet space for your clothes, as well as iron and ironing board. Bathroom supplies with towels, soaps, conditioners and shampoos.
  • Great part of town and he was very responsive to me when I had to reach out. The building is aged, but it's in a great part of town and the place was very clean.

  • We had a great stay! David’s place is in a really awesome location close to everything in Philly. The check-in was very straightforward and easy, and the apartment was clean and had everything we could need. Prompt communication too!

    Jen2018-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Dave gave clear instructions for checking in but the building itself has quirks that I didn't know about that made check-in a little harder (having to reach around to open a door from the inside was one...). The unit was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom is very small. Only one person can use it at a time and the shower may be too small for taller/bigger people (I'm under 5 feet and I thought the shower was small). There isn't any counter space either so this bathroom could be hard for doing makeup, shaving, etc. The neighborhood was good, with plenty to do within walking distance.

My place is just across the street from Rittenhouse Square. You’ll love it because of the location and the ambiance. It's a unique layout makes it great for a short stay in the city. The bed is lofted (see pics). My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. Remember, you need to climb up into the loft bed. It's super cozy and romantic up there, but you'll need to climb the ladder!!
This is my lofted crash pad in Ritt square. It's a unique space less then one block from the square. The bed is up in the loft, so you need to climb the ladder (see pics). I'm calling it a "crash pad", but probably only in the Rittenhouse area of Philly would that term apply. It's a great, bright, unique space that I use when I'm too tired to get back to my house in Jersey after a late night working in the city.
It's the center of Rittenhouse Square, so it's the best of Philly for shopping, restaurants, strolling, etc.
  • Jamey was a great host. The apartment was as described and in a very ideal location. He was very responsive to any issues that I had. Enjoyed my stay!

  • Sweet place!

    Liz2017-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • I didn't meet the host, but instructions were thorough and I checked in easily. Description and photos were very accurate. Place is comfortable, clean, and best of all--ideally located. The only problem I had--and this isn't the host's fault, of course--is that it's a little noisy in the apartment for a few reasons: - The door is actually directly after the building's first front door entrance--you actually enter the apartment (oddly enough) before you enter the locked second door that gives you access to the rest of the apartment building (as if it's a converted Super's apartment or something). This means that everyone who comes into the building is passing through the tiny corridor that's immediately outside of this apartment's door. This was noisy as people enter all times of the day. - Because the loft bed is just about 5 feet from the ceiling, I found that as upstairs neighbors were making noise and at one point stomping around, I felt very close to the noise. All of this said, I still really liked the small apartment; I just would recommend bringing earplugs if you're a light sleeper/want silence.

  • Great location that is a close walk to many great sights and restaurants. Also close to transit if you are going across town. Jamey had some great recommendations for the area as well. A small space, but an example of a very well-thought use of that small space. Communication was great and check in/out was easy.

This Spacious and Sunny one bedroom apartment is a wonderful find. It's a fully furnished unit and has been recently renovated with newly finished floors, all new stainless steal kitchen appliances, and a new bathroom. Just a few blocks away from Rittenhouse Square or Washington square west, it's right in the middle of one of the best neighborhoods in Philadelphia. It's on the 4th floor of a historic brownstone. The apartment is on the 4th floor giving you privacy and little street noise.
This is a full one bedroom apartment , it's spacious and gets plenty of light. It's on the 4th floor of a historic brownstone. It's on the top floor of the building, so it's very quiet and private. It has newly finished hardwood floors. The kitchen has been fully renovated with new stainless steal appliances. There is a full sized new stainless steal refrigerator, new stainless steal four burner stove, and a new stainless steal range. The kitchen is also equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, and toaster oven. The kitchen is stocked with all of your cooking basics, pots, pans, and cooking utensils. The kitchen is stocked with a full dinning set for four. The Bathroom has had a fully remodel and has all new finishes, including a new walk in shower with sliding glass door, vanity, toilet, and light fixtures. The apartment has central air and heat. The thermostat is located to the left of the bedroom door in the living room. The Living room is very spacious, with three large street facing windows that provide great natural light. There is the original fireplace that provides great charm and character to the space (although it is no longer functional ). The living room also has a fold out couch that converts into a queen sized bed. The bedroom is a large bedroom with one rear facing window providing a fair amount of light to the room. There is a queen sized bed and a large double sliding door closet. The breaker box for the apartment is located in the bedroom closet. The apartment has plenty of storage space. The third closet in the bedroom is the largest, a double sliding door closet, also equipped with shelving and hanging space. (Hangers are provided)
The main attractions include: Washington Square, The walnut St Theater, and the Philadelphia Magic Gardens Great Food to check out: Vetri, Talula's Garden and Tulula's Daily, and Tria Wine Beer & Cheese Cafe,
  • Lovely apartment centrally located in the best area of Philadelphia. Walking distance to many shops, cafes and restaurants. Clean, safe and comfortable. Luke was easy to communicate and I strongly recommend staying at his place.

  • The space is great and the location was fantastic. Walk-able to nearby Magic Gardens, Reading Terminal Market, Rittenhouse Square, Independence Hall & more. Apartment is spacious and renovations are great. Be advised that the common stairs are very steep & narrow as common with older buildings. I didn't use much in the kitchen, but it seemed well equipped.

This cute, functional studio is right in the heart of Center City. It's a quick walk away from city hall and just a few blocks from the gayborhood or South street. The studio features a lofted, queen sized memory foam bed, fujitsu Mini-Split for temperature control, and a newly renovated bathroom. It's ideal, private location for solo travelers or couples looking to explore Philadelphia.
This is a cute, functional studio apartment. It has amenities like an ironing board, iron, hair dryer, and a Mini-Split so you can control the temperature of the unit. The bed is lofted, it is a queen sized memory foam bed. The ceiling is slanted so there's a good 3 feet between the bed and the ceiling in the loft. The apartment does not have a kitchen. There is a mini-fridge and microwave. It's on the third floor of a historic building in Center City. It's an ideal and extremely safe location. The studio is in the rear of the building so it is relatively quiet--there's always some ambient noise--and sheltered from street lights. The studio does not have a television, it's BYOD (Bring your own device). The building has great Wi-Fi.
  • A very small and cozy space. Loved it

  • Hot water should be expected, bathroom needs renovations (broken sink hangs off the wall and improper toilet installation)WiFi didn't work, and place was not clean... There's a difference between tidying up and cleaning. Communication and check in was okay but no reply about hot water issue.

  • If you a bit adventurous and want a great Philadelphia location this is a great place. Kylie and Jake have made a very clean, sweet and comfortable nest for your visit. The exterior entrance is kinda scary but once inside you will be comfortable and you can walk to EVERYTHING in a terrific part of town. Really enjoyed my stay. The hosts were very communicative and helpful.

  • The location was phenomenal and it was very quiet for where it is. The place was very clean and perfect for our needs. It’s very walkable to everything in Philadelphia. The value is wonderful as well.

    Terry2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • The location is incredible for getting around Center City. The bed was super comfortable and the shower clean and good pressure. We overall had a great stay. We had one concern that others may experience also. The apartment is off a courtyard that has a gate. Unfortunately, the lock on that gate is broken. Despite it being a safe neighborhood, when we returned at night, the dark corners made us a little concerned. There was a suitcase with changing contents (it was frequently open) over the week and construction activity for other units, so hard to tell who was in and out of the courtyard. The lock on the actual apartment also felt pretty flimsy. Maybe a double lock would be worthwhile?

  • Great location, easy check in, stress-free! My cousin was in from Denver so we checked in and hit the streets. It was close enough to walk pretty much all of South Street. Ate at Tattooed Mom (tasty vegan food if you're interested). Camille's space was perfect for a quick night out on the town :) Would stay there again.

  • Convenient and clean. For 1 night it was perfect. Host communicated instructions well.

    Shira2019-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here. The description and pictures are very accurate and you are getting what is described. You do get the entire place however it is more like a converted section of a row-home rather than a fully separate apartment. The location is absolutely amazing and the area was very LGBTQ+ friendly. You may have issues if you are a light sleeper as the apartment is not very sound proof.

    Luis2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Camille's place was as expected and definitely an incredibly convenient location since it's right next to Broad St (and the subway there at Broad + Lombard). The mattress was quite comfortable and we enjoyed the ease of checking in. One disclaimer I'd like to add, however, is that there is quite a bit of street noise and a lot of noise from the neighbors (the walls are extremely thin), so if you are a light sleeper you should come prepared.

    Heejin2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great central location and had the basic necessities you need. Noise was an issue for us as the other neighbours living in the same apartment were loud during the wee hours of the morning (e.g. 2am) for all the nights we stayed. There was only one soft throw provided as a blanket, but luckily there was a heater that was available or else it would have been chilly during the evenings.

The Loft is located in a VERY UPBEAT, VIBRANT neighborhood and on the weekend there is always something great going on. Get out and check it out! The Loft is also located 1 block from All Septa trains and Bus routes including the Patco Train which goes right into New Jersey's Camden Station and further north into New Jersey. Parking is a little bit of a challenge in Center City but there is of street parking available and several large multi Level Parking Lots all within a very short walk from the Loft.
  • Matthew was extremely friendly and accommodating. The Apt was located right near a number of awesome bars and restaurants and the apt was clean and super trendy!

  • Apartment is cozy and well decorated. Clean kitchen and bathroom. Plenty of space for up to four people. Good WiFi and TV, but where this place really wins is location. Location is superb for checking out the city's night life and historical sites. Close to everything you'd want to see in Philly. Altogether a great stay! If you are a light sleeper, there is a club very close that you will hear noise from on the weekends, but that is literally the only negative I can think of!

  • This loft is really nice. It's clean, updated, cool, and central to everything. However, if you're opposed to the smell of smoke or the sound of late night partying, don't stay here (which is clearly stated in the description).

    Ben2017-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Easy to find and access. If I come back to Philadelphia I would definitely stay here again.

  • Had a great stay at Matt's place. The apartment was really nice, and in a great location. The apartment was very clean, the Internet was fast, and Matt was a great host. I would recommend Matt's place to anyone going to Philadelphia.

  • Pros: Great location, sparkling clean, comfy bed, nice touches like the Keurig. Anthony was lovely and let us drop our bags off a little early. For that, I give 5 stars. Cons: You have to be a very sober, very athletic person to get up into the loft. IF YOU PLAN ON DRINKING, PLEASE KEEP THIS IN MIND. Also, even though you couldn't smell cigars from inside the apartment, the residual smoke is real -- we woke up with intense sinus pressure and headaches which cleared up after going outside and breathing in fresh air. Quite loud, both at night (big party spot, thin windows) and in the morning (huge groups at the brunch place across the street including a guy who tied his dogs up across the street and and let them bark ad nauseam for 45 minutes straight starting at 7:45AM while he brunched).

    Cailey2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great location!! Cigar smell was not over whelming and was very clean!

    Breanne2018-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing host! Loft was in a great part of town, within easy walking or biking distance to all of Philadelphia's most well known tourist sites. Loft is cute and well kept. If I were to come back into town, I would definitely stay there again!

Budget room in Center City-South Bella Vista/Ave of the Arts I welcome you no matter what your ethnic, religion, or sexual orientation, background. I believe in diversity, because this country was found on it!
The room is private and located on the second floor in a 3 bedroom 1.5 bath town home, that is 12 years old. The owner lives on site. The room is cozy and comfortable. The measurements are eleven by eleven. The room is bright with two windows or 4 windows, that produce loads of sunlight. The room has a keyed lock, closet, queen sized bed, linens, towels, toiletries, small refrigerator stocked with water, sweet tea, and light snacks. The room has oil-scented plug in. There is no smoking inside of the home, due to safety issues.
  • This is one of the best deals you can get on Airbnb. The location is unbeatable, the neighborhood is super convenient and really beautiful. The room is big enough and Lantha made it super comfortable, with lots of pillows and towels. She also left snacks, drinks, a coffee maker with plenty of coffee and tea options, and toiletries. She was always available, very friendly and made my stay super easy. This is what Airbnb should be! I definitely recommend it!

  • Perfect accomodation, it's absolutely recommended!

    Eva2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice, clean and cosy Air bnb in a fantastic location. Iantha was a great host and offered plenty of suggestions of things to do and see in Philadelphia.

    Luke2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay with Iantha, and we were especially grateful we could leave our bags early, and set off our sightseeing without them. Iantha has provided some thoughtful touches, including toiletries and basic first aid supplies. The room was as described, check in was super easy and Iantha was quick getting back to us.

  • If you’re looking for hospitality at an affordable price, this is the place. Everything was very clearly communicated and the place is very clean. Iantha provides many thoughtful touches - toiletries, snacks, filtered water, and more. Her place is very close to lots of restaurants and transportation stops as well. For a trip where we weren’t “home” a lot due to our scheduled activities, this was perfect!

Our place is centered in Rittenhouse Square, steps away from all of Center City’s famous restaurants, bars, and shopping stores. Experience Philly from the best location in the city. All of the furniture, bedding, and TV's are brand new, and the home is professionally cleaned and maintained for all guests.
When Walking in to this Rittenhouse Square home you are greeted by colorful Pop Art decorated around the living room, a 65 Inch Smart TV mounted over the fireplace complimented with a large comfortable cushioned couch, red love seats and a marble counter top table. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Video, and all of the other streaming services are preloaded into all of the TV’s so you don’t miss any shows or major sports games when in the living room, or when you reside upstairs to the bedroom. Our kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances, and dinnerware to cater to your cooking needs. The Bedrooms design focuses mostly on Comfortability and Convenience, with a large plush Queen sized bed, many pillows, and a 50 Inch Smart TV mounted to the wall (pull out mount). There is an abundance of outlets to charge all electronic devices. WIFI is super important, so we added routers on every floor of the house to ensure high speeds at all times.
Our neighborhood is steps away from center city, so you get the best of both worlds. We are on a calm and collected block, in the center of all the action.
  • My only regret is not booking Jackie's place before a hotel! We came to Philly to see a play at the Kimmel center and it was less than two blocks away! We couldn't have done better location-wise if we'd spent $300 for a hotel. The house was super clean, did not feel cramped at all, and we were very comfortable. There was a slight problem with the thermostat, and I let Jackie know at 9:30 PM and she not only responded right away, but she had the issue fixed by the time we got back. We had a lovely time😊

  • Grest location. Excellent price. I would highly suggest.

    Jamie2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay, very close to local sights. The air con was a dream in this hot summer !

    Iona2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jackie was super nice and quick at responding, his place was clean and stylish, and in a convenient place with multiple places to park.

  • It was a pleasure to stay at the historic house on Smedley Street. Rena the housekeeper is there regularly keeping the place looking great.

  • Great place to Stay! very quiet and stylish

    Raissa2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • The place is exactly as pictured, clean, stylish, and a perfect location for traveling about Philly. Rittenhouse is a nice area where you can feel safe walking day or night with lots of great dining options nearby. Parking in the area is VERY limited so if you’re driving in I would recommend finding a cheap lot to put your car in for your stay and just walk, use public transportation, or use ride sharing apps. Using ride shares around the city is inexpensive and quick from this location. Jackie was a fantastic host, super attentive with quick responses when minor issues arose. Side note: the door to the house sticks in the summer heat. Just lift up on the handle when entering and put a little force behind it to get the door open!

    Andrea2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Jackie was extremely helpful and was super quick with his replies. The house was beautiful and offered an amazing localized experience for my wife and I. I would definitely recommend staying here!
