Places such as the world renown Doug Fir Lounge, Ron Toms, Club Trio and Le Pigeon, Five minutes from Voodoo Donuts, Portland City Grill, Roseland Theater, Crystal Ballroom, Pioneer Square Mall, Pearl District, Hawthorne and Moda Center.
As you arrive to the heart of inner southeast Portland near downtown you will most likely pass The Momo a boutique hotel for business and leisure travelers. The location of The Momo is extremely convenient because it is nestled on a point between SE Sandy Blvd and Se 11th Ave both very popular and up and coming locations for amazing food as well as entertainment. The Momo is one of the only locations in the entire SE Portland area with its own free parking lot for guests. The parking lot also conveniently has two entrance/exits to make it even easier to navigate the parking lot. From the parking lot you will see what looks like a gigantic classic Victorian style home and on the left side of the building facing 11th Ave a small set of stairs leading to the front door entrance and a gorgeous concrete porch surrounded by beautiful antique style trim overlooking the bustling bicycle corridor. The front door is fitted with a pin code activated deadbolt with a auto-lock feature. Once inside the building you’ll be invited by a long entrance way and flight of well lit stairs leading to the rooms on the second story. The hallways are updated tile and the entire area has been all updated and renovated and will have surveillance equipment only in the public areas of the hallway stairs and porch. The entrance way and hallway will also feature possibly vending machines. The last room door numbered #203 will have another pin code to enter your room. When you enter your room you will find a huge size room fully furnished with a king size bed, 43 inch tv, microwave, mini fridge, laptop work station, hair dryer, mirror, iron, ironing board, and hangars. The room has high ceilings and a big windows with amazing SE Portland views of the bustling biking corridor. This room also has updated wood tile floor that looks amazing. It is fitted with a public bathroom deadbolt that will show if the restroom is occupied or vacant. Inside the restroom you’ll see the updated shower with all new tile also a new sink and other amenities including a shower mat, disposable toilet seat covers, air purifier, air freshener, public restroom toilet paper dispenser, air hand dryer, and more. The Hotel Momo is located in Portland, Oregon, United States. Again, in a very central location that people are traveling all over the world to visit because of how pretty the area is and its surroundings. If you are interested in visiting Hawthorne, famous for its "Keep Portland Weird" slogan, then you aren't far away. This block has many great restaurants and bars, including Jam, which has been growing more and more over the years as one of the better breakfast spots in the country according to many critics. Well worth the wait on the weekend... And if you're into pizza, heck, who isn't (some could argue I'm sure), they have a great place on Hawthorne as well, called Oasis Café, which is located off of 37th. Plenty of fun shopping on Hawthorne as well. And again right down the street from the Hotel, four blocks to be exact is the Doug Fir Lounge on East 9th and Burnside, famous for its three wooden bars, full menu and romantic restaurant with dim lighting, world famous concert venue downstairs where some of the best of the best in the music business have performed at one point in their career to stardom. Very intimate setting and some of the best acoustics you will experience while at a concert and they pretty much have shows every single night. And if you want to keep the party going, just down the street headed towards the Burnside Bridge, which is in the direction of downtown Portland are bars such as Wurst Bar, B-Side, Sizzle Pie, Ron Tom and etc. Directly across the street from the Doug Fir Lounge is a popular club called Club Trio. Then directly across the Burnside Bridge is getting towards the heart of downtown. You have all of the foot carts down there, blocks of them actually, food from all over the globe and very affordable and quite the diverse experience. You're also close to famous spots such as Powell's Book Store, Crystal Ballroom and other areas in the hip Pearl District, which is full of bars, restaurants and shopping for all ages. In general it's a great place to walk around and get a feel for downtown and what it has to offer. You are also a close walk from Providence Park home of the Portland Timbers MLS team, which has become quite a big deal in Portland to attend games there, where they are famous for the "Timber Arm." Back on the other side of the river on the eastside is the home of the Portland Trail Blazers, the Moda Center. Always a fun spot to catch a game a big time concert or other different events. Everything named above is close to get around to it, plus many other hot spots depending on your thoughts of what a good time is. Portland, especially in this special area of southeast has so much to offer and the sights alone are amazing in and of itself. Be sure to check out the Montage under the Morrison Bridge, which is less then a mile away from the Hotel.
  • Room was equipped with almost everything you would need to travel. It is located close to bars and restaurants.

  • Great room very clean and neat. In a great part of town

  • There were ants in the bathroom but owner fixed it. Also, piles of dust in the bedroom but I didn't alert the owner again. Otherwise, was fine. Owner was nice and courteous.

  • The room was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Super convenient location, really easy to get downtown and tons of great restaurants nearby. I highly recommend La Luna or Jam Cafe for breakfast!!! Free parking was a huge bonus. Shared bathroom was never an issue. Would definitely stay here again.

  • Great stay! This was exactly as described and had everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. Even with a shared bathroom no issues with the other guests staying, always open when we needed it.

  • The room was cozy and well appointed. The location has a lot of good restaurants and cafes nearby. The shared bathroom got a little busy in the morning but it wasn’t too bad. Overall I had a great experience and would be happy to stay again!

  • The location was amazing and we loved the room! We were a little hesitant about whether the shared bathroom would work out, but it turned out fine. Would stay here again!

  • Very cozy and convenient, a beautiful neighborhood with lots to do and see!

    Brendon2019-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • It's a nice little room. The bed is very comfy, and the room has a fair amount of seating/space. I didn't have many problems with the share bathroom-- it was very clean and easily accessible, though just as is the case in a private home, you sometimes have to wait for the shower! The road it's on is relatively busy, even through the night-- I'm a very light sleeper and I ended up using a white noise app to sleep during the nights. I liked the location-- easy walk to the convention center and plenty of fantastic food.

    Ileana2019-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place.

    Lydia2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place was pretty nice overall. Great location, good sized room, decent value, etc. The only negative was the preference for cool design over functionality... For instance, the bathroom walls were frosted glass (including the shower) and could be slightly see-through depending on which lights were on. The shower “wall” was shared with the bedroom, making it a little awkward and exposed. Due to this, I would caution users to consider their comfort level with that, especially if you’re traveling with other people.

This clean and comfortable, spacious two bedroom is well appointed and perfectly located in the Buckman neighborhood of SE Portland. The kitchen is large and great for cooking. Anyone, including families, are welcome to make themselves at home here.
Guests can feel free to use the front porch for breakfast or evening drinks. It's a great way to sit and relax while enjoying the neighborhood. There is Wifi in the apartment as well as a kitchen fully stocked for cooking I expect that most guests will want their privacy. I will have minimal interaction but of course am always available to answer questions or help out should anything come up. My apartment is within walking distance to some of the best that Portland has to offer. Voodoo Donuts, great bars, restaurants, breweries, food carts and music venues are all a part of this lively inner SE neighborhood. We are located on bus lines 70, 20, 19 and 12 as well as very close to the Portland Street Car and Max Light rail. Transportation should never be a problem from this location. There is free street parking as well for those traveling with a car. Guests will enjoy a private two bedroom with a large living and dining room area and big kitchen. The bathroom has a spacious claw-foot bathtub and bedrooms each have a queen bed. There is a front deck that is great for hanging out, eating, drinking and people watching on sunny days. Guests will check-in at their convenience (after 3pm) with the digital locks, location communicated in the house manual after booking. I am always available by text, airbnb message or phone call during a visit but will not be around unless I am asked. For any questions or requests, I’m available! This neighborhood is packed with tons to do, eat and drink. We are walking distance from downtown, the convention center and very convenient to many other neighborhoods. I recommend staying without a car but if you do bring one there is plenty of free parking all around. I am one block off of several bus lines and a few more blocks to the Portland Street car. The Max light rail is a short bus ride away and can be transferred to via the line 70. **Located above a legal operating Marijuana dispensary. There is no smoking on the property.
This neighborhood is packed with tons to do, eat and drink. We are walking distance from downtown, the convention center and very convenient to many other neighborhoods. I recommend staying without a car but if you do bring one there is plenty of free parking all around.
  • Exactly as described. Very accommodating. Would use again.

  • Nice, large, comfortable place in great location. Its an easy walk to downtown and public transportation options are all around. We chose to rent a car as we took some road trips, and it is easy to find on street parking. Jonathan is incredibly responsive to any questions and leaves you alone if you don't have any. We checked out some of his recommended neighborhood restaurants and were very pleased. Would definitely stay there again.

    Karen2015-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • The place was great. The location was excellent, really close to a lot of bars and restaurants in Portland. The house was clean and had all the amenities listed.

    Zach2014-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived at Jonathan's apartment and were delighted to see that the apartment was even better than the pictures illustrated! Incredibly spacious, tastefully decorated, and stocked with toiletries (a huge bonus!), this Portland apartment was one of my favorite Airbnb stays. The hosts were very responsive and accommodating - very grateful for their hospitality!

    Mallory2016-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very easy to find, host gave clear instructions, place was gracious in size, very clean. I'd stay there again.

    Janelle2015-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Jonathan's place is excellent. The pictures don't do it justice. It is well appointed and very comfortable. When traveling back to Portland, I will consider Jonathan's place first!

    Andrew2016-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was a really good value. I stayed with 3 friends and we had plenty of room to spread out. The apartment is surprisingly spacious and has a lot of character. Check-in was easy, the two beds were nice (the futon was...well, a futon), there's a giant deck that would be great in summer, and we were able to walk to fun restaurants and bars. The only downside was we could hear the upstairs neighbors when they walked around but that's what you get with old wood floors.

  • Eric's place was cozy and included all the necessities needed for travel including hair dryer, iron, kitchen tools, etc. The location cannot be beat. Very convenient to public transport and easy to get downtown or the many other desirable neighborhoods in Portland. The air conditioner kept us cool on those hot summer nights! Eric was also a great host and was extremely responsive every step of the way. Thanks Eric for everything!

    Jamie2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Such an ideal loxation, right near the max and plenty of shops. Eric was very accomodating and met uss to drop off the keys and gave us some tips for the city. The apartment was great, clean and we loved our stay! We would highly reccomend this place.

  • Great stay. Eric was great about getting anything that we needed that wasn't already there. Location was a short walk to food and public transportation. Would stay here again!

  • Very confortable environment.

    Pamela2017-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Portland was a very fantastic city and Eric's accommodation was in an optimal location to enjoy all that value. It was also a very comfortable hostel. Next time I will choose this place without hesitation.

    Jung Su2017-04-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was better than we expected, a very central location and loved that it was across the street from the market. Eric graciously met us upon arrival for a quick tour and to answer any questions, he gave us a quick rundown of the local transit routes and let us get settled. We rented a car and were able to find parking easily. The apartment itself has tons of natural lighting and is in a beautiful complex. I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for great place to stay and it is very centrally located to everything

    John2016-04-11T00:00:00Z

Jupiter Hotel is a locally owned and operated renovated 1970's style motor lodge. Doug Fir Lounge is on site, with great food and beverage options and a music venue with performances most nights. Night owl? Early riser? You’ll feel at home here. Request the bar side for a lively environment with the Doug Fir patio just outside. Or chill side rooms are a quieter retreat away from the action.
Rooms feature: unique local art, mid-century modern style furnishings, free wifi, flat screen tv, complimentary coffee in the lobby and chalkboard doors to unleash your inner genius.
In the heart of the inner east side cultural district, Jupiter is surrounded by great places to eat, drink, shop and explore. We are a few blocks from the Burnside Bridge which can take you in to downtown or the waterfront with the Saturday Market. On site, in addition to Doug Fir Lounge, we also have Hey Love, which is an all-encompassing bar/restaurant/lounge/indoor jungle/neighborhood escape/all day hangout spot with hours from 7am-2am. Our neighborhood has locally owned boutiques, great food and beverage, as well as multiple theaters for live performances. We are also a short jaunt form the Moda Center and the Convention center.
  • This place is amazingly cool! The décor was something to admire. There were chalkboards on the wall to write messages and doodle art. The coffee is amazing and free for guests. You can't beat the location and the friendly / welcoming environment. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and hoping to have a chance to stay there again. Probably one of the coolest places I've been.

    Kimberly2018-08-09T00:00:00Z

  • Fun little hotel near downtown! Thanks for the stay!

    Mike2019-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Small rooms in a trendy hotel. There was a show going on somewhere near by and we could hear other guests well into the morning and past the hotels stated quite time. No microwave or fridge in the room, just two chairs and a table. You a mostly paying for the location and not the room. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. We'd stay here again if couldn't find anywhere else close, which was the main reason we stayed to begin with. Not my first pick but better than some

    Jordan2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The staff was awesome and very kind! The room was stylish and clean. We brought our dog and he loved being able to be with us in the room!

    Sydney2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • I was in Portland for work for one night and the Jupiter was perfect and in a convenient location. There are a bunch of cafes and bars and restaurants nearby. It can get loud at night since it is close to the Doug Fir Lounge but they do have quiet hours and it seemed to be respected

  • The place was in a prime location and the communication was A1! Was overall the perfect stay for 6 people.

  • We had a really great stay! The neighborhood had a lot of amenities and the apartments comfortably slept all of us. The apartment is well-appointed and was a great place to relax.

  • A really nice place in a pretty cool neighborhood. Comfortable, spacious, and served us well. (Two of us even found the "hidden" pull-out bed, which made for a pretty fun game when the rest of our party arrived.) Check out Frank's Noodle House next door - the best handmade noodles I've ever had!

Renovated 1898 Neo-Classical Victorian 800 sq ft. large view loft studio apartment. Restaurant row featuring award winning LePigeon is five minute walk away. Near Convention Center, Lloyd Center shopping mall, movie theater. Streetcar 3 blocks away, Max Train 10 minute walk, buses to downtown 2 blocks, or walk across Burnside Bridge. Easy access to I-84, route to airport. Located in urban Central Industrial area, neighbors are businesses in smaller buildings. Urban noises. City and tree views.
Built in 1898, this house was a Sears and Roebuck catalog house that came by train in a "kit", and then by horse drawn wagon to the building site. It has been renovated by owners and has had recent updating.
This 1898 home is one of the few remaining houses in what used to be a residential neighborhood. We have lovingly restored her to more modern living but many details remain true to the period. Home is located in an urban area with the attendant urban noises associated with adjacent businesses that occur throughout the day and night including trains, car and truck and traffic noises. A nearby bakery sometimes has the smell of baking bread. Many restaurants within walking distance. Recent apartment construction nearby has brought in more coffee shops and restaurants to explore. House is located in area with light foot and car traffic during the day. After business hours the traffic and parked cars are greatly reduced.
  • I would happily stay here again! It's within walking distance of the Convention Center (took me a bit under 15 min. to get to the ABC sections at the far end ). The airbnb space is open and airy with multiple windows and a real kitchen, and the hosts were thoughtful, friendly and communicative. Paulla had even put out a vase of some old-fashioned red-orange roses from the bush in front. When I searched airbnb, this came up as the available place closest to the convention center. Paulla's place is to the south, improbably set among low utilitarian modern buildings and not far from the Burnside St. zone of restaurants (Le Pigeon), stores with vintage hats dresses, a bazillion choices of boots, much black clothing, a pizza place called Sizzle Pie (loved the name but didn't try it) and other entertainments. I did go to Sheridan's Fruit, a locally owned grocery that as Paulla says is carefully "curated." (Got a great melon and mango.) In the other direction is Dutch's coffee, which I understand has an intense local following. There's a big sprawl of an auction house about 2 minutes away which I carefully avoided for fear of falling in love with some giant bookcase I would then try to ship across the country. In spite of so many miscellaneous, mostly modern commercial buildings, the house , the sole survivor of its era on the block, really is as advertised. it's been re-done inside so it feels tight and solid. The airbnb part is the whole second floor, which has been opened into a long room the depth of the house with an ample bedroom area at one end and the kitchen (gas stove, microwave, full fridge etc.) at the other end. The clawfoot tub was fun, and I was particularly grateful for a walk-in closet with plenty of hangers and an ironing board already set up with an iron. Most of the time, I sat with my computer on one of the two sofas looking out over the roofs of nearby buildings to the hills on the other side of the river. Paulla's description cautions about urban noise and atmosphere, and I wasn't sure what to expect. The neighborhood has fun stuff but the immediate blocks look more utilitarian than urban-historic. The street itself seemed quiet without much traffic, and I only heard commercial noises at night twice during a five-day stay. (One night I half -woke to clanging truck doors and delivery sounds, but it was over in about 10 minutes. The other time, I heard some kind of motor sound but didn't wake up enough to figure out what it was, so I guess it stopped soon. People there several times discussed the homeless population, and there were several corners or tree-shade spots within the five block radius (and throughout downtown Portland) where I saw several worn people just sitting together or lying on backpacks. It depends on what you're used to, but I was just grateful...

  • Great location and hosts. Thoroughly enjoyed my time staying at this lovely home.

  • The loft home is such a cozy, beautiful space. With high ceilings, good light, and ample room to hang out around the apartment, it feels like a more homey version of a hotel room. It is also quite close to a few great coffee shops, bars, and a brewery, and it is a short walk from the east river esplanade, which has gorgeous views of Portland. I would absolutely recommend this home to a couple staying in the area!

    Elizabeth2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Paulla's place is great. Really comfortable and close to restaurants and shops.

    Julie2017-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great space in a convenient location near the Oregon Convention Center. We stayed here and loved being on a 5-7 min walk to the convention center. Also walking distance to downtown, the river, & many restaurants and coffee shops.

  • This was such a lovely place to stay. Paulla was very accommodating with our schedule. She greeted us at the door, gave us a tour (the pictures do not do this place justice) and shared the history of the home. The kitchen and bathroom were stocked with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely return in the future and recommend staying here.

Whatever your reason may be for visiting Portland, my place is in an ideal geographical location and in close proximity to many of Portland's top destination spots. The apartment has great views of the city and overlooks the Burnside Bridge and Willamitte River. I like to keep my place clean with all the modern essentials of an apartment such as a Chemex, All-Clad cookware, linen sheets, and a fridge full of all sorts of hot sauces to name a few.
This studio apartment has exposed concrete in which a wall separates the living and bedroom space. There is a queen bed in the bedroom area and a futon couch in the living room area, which is surrounded by plants and terrariums. The kitchen is equipped with All-Clad cookware, Bodum french press, Bodum tea press, Chemex, Hario manual coffee grinder, cookbooks, and other items for your culinary needs. I have a water filter and drinks in the fridge that you are welcome to as well as a free range use of everything in the kitchen, including teas and Yerba Mate in the drawers. There is a washer and dryer in the apartment that you have access to. In the bathroom, I have available Kiehl's shampoo and face wash as well as local favorite from Portland's very own Maak Lab multi-use wet soap, which can be used on body, hand, face, and hair.
The apartment has great views of the city and overlooks the Burnside Bridge and Willamitte River. It is blocks away from Portland favorites like Olympia Provisions (best eggs benedicts), Ristretto Roasters, Water Avenue Coffee, Sizzle Pie, Le Pigeon, and Nong’s Khao Man Gai and Voodoo Donuts and Stumptown Coffee are just across the bridge.
  • The views for this place were awesome, especially at night! The host gave us a long list of great places to eat which was also great. This spot is best for max two people, the futon is not great to sleep on. V, was a great host.

  • My husband and I enjoyed staying at V’s place. The location was great, close enough to downtown and quick walk to burnside. The space was very clean and the view was awesome. Key hand off was a bit delayed, but overall pretty easy. Would recommend this place!

HOUSEKEEPING AND MANAGEMENT BY AIRCNM You couldn't ask for a better location in Southeast Portland.
The second room door numbered #202 will have another pin code to enter your room. When you enter your room you will find a large size room fully furnished with a king size bed, 43 inch tv, microwave, mini fridge, laptop work station, hair dryer, mirror, iron, ironing board, and hangars. The room has high ceilings and a huge bay window wall with great city views. This room also has its own walk in closet for storage and updated wood tile floor that looks amazing. The entire building is updated and renovated. Outside of your room to the right in the hallway you will find the bathroom that is shared by the three rooms. The bathroom also has an amazing view of downtown Portland that you can see very well.

  • Stylish hotel with great views from our 6th floor room. The bed was luxuriously large and comfy. Great location, within walking distance of many of Portland’s best restaurants off Burnside. There was ample street parking and we had no issues there. Would definitely stay again!

  • Stayed here for a night to avoid extensive driving after a wedding. We were on the top floor with a great view of the city, and it was surprisingly quiet, despite the noise in the lobby and for being across from the elevator. There is a bar downstairs, so the lobby can be a bit crazy on a Saturday night. Had a less-than-fun experience with a drunk party in the elevator, but that's the risk you take with a hotel in the city.

  • Sweet spot, only complaint is that bright outside lights came on at night that made it feel like the sun was shining on us. If you're sensitive to that sort of thing, it makes it hard to sleep,

  • Wonderful quiet neighborhood. Short drive to downtown PDX. Thoughtful touches to the space. Would recommend and thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

  • Paulla’s home is lovely- beautiful architecture, very clean, has everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you’re looking to be in a neighborhood, keep in mind this home is located in a mixed use/industrial area. I had no issues staying here as a single female.

    Jamie2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • A pretty comfy spot overall. Nice areas to relax and read. Nice gas range for cooking. The pillows on the bed were not comfortable at all and we unfortunately had to buy new pillows to sleep well. The location is convenient to the Oregon Convention Center and public transit, though the area immediately around the house can feel a bit sketchy when walking. Note that there is an upstairs apartment that is not part of the listing.

    Helen2019-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Location is a lot less desirable than expected. There are homeless people living out right in front of the home. You can hear them talking at night. Our car got broken into (window smashed) with a trash bag of beer cans. Host apologized but made it sound like it’s happened before. The instructions for home specifically said do not leave blinds up during the day. There’s a security camera on the porch. The area is industrial with no amenities or restaurants within 2 blocks. Street parking is free on weekends but limited to 2 hours on weekdays. The home was clean, but the shower is small and difficult to use if you are tall.

  • I came here with a friend and my dog. It was a very nice stay - everything worked as it should, and the place definitely excels in style. The restaurant/bar downstairs was amazing, too. Valet was really convenient and nice. My only complaint is that the bathroom situation in the room did not allow for much privacy. I wish there was a little more separation from the bathing area and the sleeping area. I also wish that there were doggy relief areas on the property - maybe I missed them?

There are 2 sofa beds, one in the living room, one in the sun room. For large groups, there is also a full sized hidden bed in the dining room. There is a large table in the dining room, so you can cook, share a meal together, and then go out on the town or stay in and watch a movie on one of the 2 Roku TV's with Netflix, Amazon Prime, & Hulu subscriptions. We have custom blinds, the upper units have great views of the city and the building has all of the charm and character you would expect from a custom built turn of the century Old Pdx fourplex.
Portland has a growing reputation for local breweries, excellent restaurants, and exquisite coffee shops. Other local attractions nearby include the Moda Center, Lan Su Chinese Garden, the Grotto, the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, and more.
  • The unit was exactly as described and pictured, and it's in a very convenient neighborhood that's close to everything. Katherine was very organized and thorough in giving me info about the place, making everything go very smoothly! This was my first time using airbnb and it couldn't have gone better!

  • Super spacious and cozy suite. Spent the weekend in Portland with friends and enjoyed our stay in the air bnb. Some noise from the guests above us but overall a wonderful stay.
