  • A jewel in the mix of a ongoing constructed city. Quiet neighborhood. Once inside you'll immediately be comforted from the annoying heat in a relaxed environment. I needed that.

We're in downtown Jacksonville. Walking distance and free parking to the TIAA Bank Field (Jaguars Stadium) and great distance to many Florida/Georgia events...We are only 5 minutes away from the Florida Times Union, Florida Theatre , The Moran Theatre, The Jacksonville Veterans Arena, Daily's Place, The Jacksonville Landing and the great downtown night life! Our guest stays are by booking only, we apologize for any inconvenience.
1 extra clean bedroom and shared bathroom
This is a quiet, kid and pet friendly neighborhood!
  • Very neat and clean place. Host is organized and the place is clean... Her attention to the details is immaculate... I recommend everyone to stay...

    Christopher2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Latasha was an excellent host! Her house was beautiful, and she had toiletries in the bathroom in case I forgot something. She bent over backwards to make my stay comfortable.

    Julie2018-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • The space was clean, she cleans very frequently and also uses a company to help clean. The room was small but enough for one or two people if you don't bring big suitcases. The bathroom is shared with other airbnb guests in other rooms, but it was kept clean and well stocked with toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, ECT. I went for Rockville and it was a 15 to 20 minute walk. Car parking for the festival starts just a few blocks from the house, so staying here saves money on parking.

    Aren2019-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and tidy home with access to all of the main venues around downtown Jacksonville. Great place to stay!

    Juan2019-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • If you don’t stay with Latasha, you are missing out. Conveniently close to downtown and not far from the beach. Walking distance to Jags stadium. Clean and stylish space. You won’t be disappointed.

    John2018-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is close to everything going on in Jacksonville. Great place to stay, I highly recommend it. It was also quiet and kept tidy.

Quiet and comfortable room located in the heart of the Urban Core. Springfield Historic District is in the midst of revitalization. Expect a mixture of old and new residents. You will have your own room, and share a bathroom with other guests from another bedroom. The bedrooms and bathroom are located on the second floor; guests must be able to walk up a flight of narrow stairs (house was built in 1904). There are no TVs in the house. Street parking only.
I provide bath towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. A hair dryer and garment steamer are also available for your use.
Adjacent to the north of Downtown Jacksonville, Springfield is the oldest neighborhood in Jacksonville and offers a variety of experiences for visitors! This historic neighborhood is filled with restored mansions and bungalows, hip restaurants, locally owned shops, some of the city's oldest parks, craft breweries and tons of southern charm.
  • House as nice as the host! Great overall experience

  • No issues. Great place to stay if you’ll be working in downtown. Just follow the hosts rules and everything will be fine.

    Romin2019-07-18T00:00:00Z
  • Claudia's write up is just as she wrote. The bed was very comfortable (I was leary because I have back issue and consider myself a bed snob). I slept well! Her place was very clean. She was very welcoming and even put a special touch about the room doorway, which makes you feel special. Growing up in the area I was leary and felt safe at her home. Would recommend to anyone. I really enjoy my weekend and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place especially near the downtown area. Uber/Lyft was $6-8 one way to the stadium area.

This cozy room provides a comfortable, cool room to return to after a fun night Downtown! We are four blocks from the breweries and fun on Main Street. Please feel free to use any of the shared living spaces. The bathroom may be shared while you are staying with us! We would be glad to make any suggestions on places to visit. Our home is a 5 min from the stadium, UF Shands and VA Hospital, about 20 min to UNF and JU. Please let us know if there is anyway to assist with your stay in JAX!
We live here also, we have two friendly dogs but I will keep them put away while you are here.
We live in an urban neighborhood where creative, fun people live in the large, old homes that make up our cool community. We hope you enjoy your visit in the Historic Springfield district here in Jacksonville, Fl.

  • Michelle was a wonderful host, responding very quickly and welcoming me kindly. Her family proved to be excellent co-hosts as well. I stayed at her place while recording an album nearby in the 5 Points District, and she could not have been more accommodating. I will definitely remember her the next time I need a place to stay in Jacksonville. Moreover, the area is wonderful - Crispy's is a quick walk away and has excellent pizza that even those with the highest standards can appreciate (and I've lived in NYC and Chicago!)

    Caleb2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • The house was absolutely beautiful in a charming neighborhood. Michelle was very detailed when communicating check in instructions which led to a quick and easy stay. She even recommended a late night place to eat and gave me a ride there! Bed was extremely comfortable as well. Would definitely come and stay again!

Whether staying for business or fun, come and feel right at home in our historic space where you will enjoy an entire apartment in Jacksonville's oldest neighborhood. Historic Springfield is a revilitalizing urban area that is centrally located to all Jacksonville has too offer. Just minutes from Downtown, Daily's Place concert venue, Florida Theatre, as well as TIAA Bank Field. Springfield also has it's own restaurants, coffee shop, and micro-breweries just steps away from the front door.
Entire apartment includes a full bathroom, spacious bedroom, large living room, independent balcony, and kitchen that has a stove, oven, microwave, coffee pot, and refrigerator/freezer. ** We truly value the feedback of the guests we host! In response to our super hot summer here in Sunny Florida, we have added additional air conditioning to this unit. Your stay should be cool and comfortable! ** Our beautiful home is over 100 years old and thus she has some unique characteristics! You will find original hardwood floors throughout the apartment that showcase the age of the home. While the bedroom, living and dining room are spacious, our bathroom is smaller than a modern homes bathroom. Though little, the bathroom still features a full tub, shower, sink and toilet. You will find everything you need there! We hope that you will find our building as charming as we do.
Our neighborhood was established in 1859 and has become a staple to the downtown area. On Main Street, you will find a local veteran owned coffee shop, two breweries, a pizza restaurant and bbq restaurant, as well as shopping boutiques. All of this is within walking distance from our space.
  • Very clean! Easy to find and check in. Everything was 100% accurate. Would stay again!

    Meredith2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Tyler's place was comfortable and had all the amenities we were looking for! We enjoyed walking down to a local coffee shop and a BBQ place less than 10 minutes from the apartment. Thanks for the stay!

    Mary2019-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • The space was very clean upon entry and whole unit was above our expectations for the price of stay. The proximity to everywhere we needed to go was huge and getting downtown was so easy. Would definitely stay again when traveling to Jacksonville.

    Sean2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tyler's place was very cozy and just a few minutes from all of our downtown activities. We had a great time!

  • If you're looking for a tastefully decorated place to stay, in a historic area, and that is close to everything, then look no further! Upon walking up the stairs, we noticed a chalkboard with a welcome message and suggestions for local eats and drinks along with a guestbook to sign. The apartment was flawlessly clean and the decorating was on point! The bathroom had single serve toiletries such as shampoo, quality bar soap and Neutrogena make up removal wipes which my wife appreciated. the mini fridge was stocked with bottled water and the fully stocked kitchen had coffee, tea, and instant oatmeal available. There were also extra linens available in case you have an extra guest or two that will be using the couch. It was our best Air BnB stay yet and we will definitely be staying again when in the area. Don't miss out on this one!

Entire Upstairs apartment located in Historic Springfield. The decor is “Historic Modern” with two main bedrooms that have modern updates one with a pastel theme and the second with an eclectic darker theme. The 3rd bedroom is originally the living room with a curtain divider but is a staged as a modern bedroom with an original 100 year old fireplace as the main accent and modern vaulted ceilings and dimmer switches.
    .
Springfield is an up and coming neighborhood with many 100 year old houses being renovated and others patiently waiting their turn. Its 1 mile north of downtown. Less than a mile from I-95 and UF Hospital. It located close to Main and 8th which is a busy road with many new businesses including 3 New Breweries (Strings, Hyperion and Six and Main). Strings has a full restaurant and the other two often feature rotating food trucks parked right in front of the breweries. 4 blocks away is the local favorite, Cripsy's, a locally owned restaurant with wood fired pizza, sandwiches and open late. Please note: This apartment is 1 mile north of downtown and you will see people of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities and various income levels, including homeless people. The homes are in a historic district and they are NOT perfect manicured lawns as you would see in a gated community, suburbs or golf course. On the right there is a office for engineers and an elderly couple on the left that have lived there for many years.
  • Beautiful place. Very thoughtful and helpful.

  • Jorge's place exceeded my expectations. It had everything one would need for a short or extended stay. I LOVED the decor and the multiple bedrooms to choose from. They had lovely touches all around the house. I really appreciated the cold beverages waiting for me when I arrived. I will most definitely stay at Jorge's place next time I'm in Jacksonville. I really wish he place was available longer I would have loved to stay there, it felt at home.

Recently renovated carriage house in Jacksonville's urban core. Located just minutes from the Bold City's best restaurants, city center, public transportation, airport, and historic districts. Our carriage house is just 2 miles from Everbank Field and Daily's Place Amphitheater and 2.8 miles from the Prime Osborn Convention Center. You'll love the eclectic neighborhood and personal touches of our place!
Our carriage house is approximately 400 square feet and built in 2005, at the same time as the main house. We recently updated it with fresh paint, new flooring, quartz and marble countertops, and new appliances. It also has tall ceilings, beautiful natural light, linen bedding, fluffy white bath towels, and fresh eggs from our backyard hens (when available). There is one full bedroom with a queen bed, a full (very spacious!) bathroom, living room with sofa and leather wingback chair, and a kitchenette with a two burner cook top and full size refrigerator. The kitchen comes fully stocked with new cookware, white dishes, olive wood cheese boards, drip coffee maker, french press, and Chemex! There are assorted beverages in the fridge, coffee, and tea, condiments, and a few snacks. The bathroom comes stocked with fluffy white towels, basic necessities (shampoo, conditioner, soap, hair dryer). 43" HDTV with Apple TV and Netflix included (no cable). PLEASE NOTE: Our carriage house sleeps TWO guests. Additional overnight guests are not permitted. You may not move furniture to add an air mattress or sleep on the sofa. TWO overnight guests is the maximum (small children/babies are okay).
This is a very exciting time to be in Springfield! We have several restaurants and breweries opening along Main Street and downtown (a great pizza and wing place as well as a "nano brewery" just two blocks away). Springfield was called "the south's best come back neighborhood" by Southern Living a few years ago! One of our newest events is called Second Sundays in Klutho Park (just a few blocks away). The second Sunday of every month (April through October, 4pm-7pm) there is live music, food trucks and craft brews, produce market, local vendors, and fun & games for the whole family. It's free to the public. We also have PorchFest in November which brings 30+ bands to perform on porches. It's one of our favorite days of the whole year. It is a very social neighborhood and you'd be hard pressed to go for a walk without having someone greet you from their porch. As with all urban neighborhoods, there is a fair amount of foot traffic so we encourage our guests to keep their valuables out of their vehicles. We are very passionate about this neighborhood, the growth, and the people who are working hard to preserve the history here. This is not a perfectly manicured subdivision. We hope that the guests we have in our carriage house will appreciate the character and diversity of Springfield as much as we do.
  • Nicole’s place is super cute, and was perfect. I was in town for work, so it was convenient to downtown. Nicole’s local info was great, and she responded right away when I had a question. Very comfortable, and enjoyed my stay.

    Laura2017-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Nicole’s place was great with a nice private parking spot off the street. The local guide was very much appreciated.

    Brian2018-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing price for what you get!

    Clayton2018-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first experience staying in an airbnb, and it was perfect. The carriage house is clean, private, and so beautifully decorated. I spent an embarrassing amount of time just watching their adorable chickens in the back yard. Nicole thoughtfully left a list of some of her and Todd's favorite local attractions, restaurants, and bars and every single one we tried was phenomenal. If you stay here, do not skip on driving 30 minutes up to driftwood beach. It is stunning. I was in Jacksonville for a work conference, but would absolutely return for vacation as long as this airbnb was available.

    Brooke2018-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly as pictured and so much more once you really start to settle in! We stepped through the door and immediately felt at home, but nicer and with the beautiful smell of a candle. We received a welcome packet with info about the neighborhood, recommendations/menus, a snack tray with fresh fruit on the table and they even had the cupboards stocked with snacks! We've stayed at high end resorts and while the towels at the resorts and always super soft they have never smelled as fresh and as good as the ones they had waiting for us. The bed and the pillows made it almost impossible to get up in the morning because we never wanted to leave... if it wasn't for the wedding we came for we would probably still be there! We even got the chance to meet Nicole and her husband Todd and they are both awesome people! The attention to detail you'll find in their guest house will blow you away as it seems like they have thought of everything... even the hand soaps were above and beyond! The moral of this long review is to book this place now and make sure that if you're there on a Saturday that you go to the farmers market and find their neighbor. The pastry and pies they make are delicious!

    Janice2017-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place!

    Natalie2017-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a great stay for my husband and I to explore Springfield and downtown. Nicole and husband are wonderful hosts and very warm. Everything you need and more is provided...including a wonderful snack basket, coffee and other essentials. It was so well decorated that I want to hire her for my own home! The area is up and coming and everyone we ran into in the neighborhood was very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay again!

    Jessica2017-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice clean space! It was very nicely decorated and was convenient to my customers for my business trip. They even had fresh eggs from their backyard hens. They didn't have any roosters, so the chickens were quiet. Nicole and Todd are at the forefront of bringing the Springfield neighborhood back to its former glory.

We are offering a private guest suite with one queen bed with private entry and private bath. We are located in a national historic district adjacent to downtown. Please note this is a transitional area. We are near the stadium, Florida Theater, Daily's Place, the Arena, and Convention Center. We are a few blocks from some new restaurants and breweries, a disc golf course, and bandstand in a park.
  • I helped move my brother down to Jacksonville and I was so pleased to be able to come back to Brad's place at the end of the day. It's a real neighborhood, I met the neighbors, and their dogs and sat out on the porch in the morning to drink coffee before starting my day. Nice old trees with Spanish moss and good restaurants close by. Wish the rest of the city was like this area.

If I'm ever in the Jacksonville area for an extended period again for work I will definitely check out Jorge's properties first. Everything was extremely clean, neat, and comfortable making a 6 week+ stay much more pleasant than being in a hotel.

CHEAP, ...But ...a 2 night minimum until July 1. Then we will be going to a one week minimum stay with checkin on Sundays. Located in the heart of Historic San Marco, you can be staying less than one mile walk to restaurants, shopping and micro brews. This apartment is awkward in that you have to walk through the bedroom to get to the kitchen and bath. This is also a duplex, so there will be people next door. Proximity to I95, make this an excellent stop for trips passing through.
This is a very strange space so you should be very close with your travel companions. The bedroom is between the living room and the kitchen and bath. The living room has a twin pullout and a queen pullout. This means whoever's sleeping on the pullouts will have to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. That said, it is well appointed with everything one might need on a short visit to Jacksonville, including roku tv and Kuerig coffee maker. It even has a nice front porch with a swing, and parking in the driveway in front.
We love San Marco because it is definitely a walking neighborhood. Google it and you will see there are dozens of options within a mile.
  • This house is a long house in the perfect location. It has everything you need and the host is great at communicating.

  • This was the second time my sister and I stayed at Jorge's place. The first time was in Apartment 1 and this time was Apartment 2. Both stays were great! Jorge is a wonderful host and very responsive. The apartment is super cute and we loved all of the little touches. Having coffee on-hand was great and the location is close the downtown, which is exactly what we needed. Staying at Jorge's place reduced the stress we were under with our Dad in the hospital (again). This will definitely continue to be our go-to Airbnb spot when we're staying in Jacksonville and need to be close to Baptist Main. I also love how close it is to everything in San Marco and Riverside. If you get a chance, go check out Five Points.

    Angelique2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cute place, the pictures online don't do it justice. Close to down town.

    Rosemarie2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very very clean! We were impressed! Great location, was 6 min Uber to downtown. Very easy check in. Would recommend an extra mirror for the ladies in the bedroom, being that there was no electrical outlet in the bathroom, but it was a very comfortable stay for the weekend otherwise. There was even complimentary wine, which I was very happy to see! We decided on a trip last minute and was lucky to find this place available. Would definitely stay again.

  • This Airbnb is amazing!! The location is minutes away from the prime areas in Jax. Jax beach is not too far either. The apartment is very clean and spacious. There’s plenty of parking available in front and back of the property. And omg...the bed is very comfortable. Jorge, Pam and Stephanie are amazing hosts! They were always reachable and have suggested plenty of local restaurant spots! If you’re visiting Jax, I highly recommend this Airbnb!

Our guest house in the Springfield National Historic District is surrounded by a beautiful, professionally designed pool and garden. It is close to downtown Jacksonville, including TIAA Bank (Everbank) Field, Daily's Place amphitheater, Baseball grounds, Florida theater & Veterans Memorial Arena.
The Gardeners Cottage/Orchid House is a beautiful Oasis that will make you feel as if you are in a private pool garden in Key West. The guest house is a 400 square foot space with a bedroom and an adjoining bathroom. It is simply decorated in a garden designer's motif and was built in 2010 at the same time as the main house. It is built to historic standards of the District and is a Craftsman style dwelling. The cottage is quiet and guests enjoy great privacy.
Springfield is a one square mile National Historic District that is centrally located in the Urban Core. It is the oldest neighborhood in Jacksonville. It is an urban revitalization area that is still a work in progress. It is a culturally diverse area and is not a typical suburban area. We are close to Everbank Field as well as Jacoby Symphony Hall, The Baseball Grounds and Veterans Memorial Arena. We are a close knit community with frequent community events, community organizations and parties. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate early check ins.

  • Delightful experience. Everything I was seeking during my retreat. Lovely views, inside and out. Especially by the pool!

    Erin2017-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • I wouldnt ever suggest staying here the hosts made me feel extremely uncomfortable i left within 5 minutes of being there. You book a private place with a pool expecting to be able to use the pool and they wouldnt leave the poolside until the moment we came out with all of our stuff. The inside of the place smelled musty, the sheets were stained, the tv was aboit 15in wide. On top of all that they do not let you know until you get there that they have a CHICKEN COOP right outside the window of where you sleep! When we walked out only momenta after being there the people just picked up their stuff and walked inside without saying a word to us. They didnt even care to ask why we were leaving.

    Shannon2018-12-03T00:00:00Z

  • The space suited me well and was really clean. The bathroom itself was not only clean, but just very nice and spacious. The best part, however, was having Angela as a host -- very nice and very efficient. She was exceptional in that she consistently replied almost instantly to the texts/emails I had occasion to send her. I enjoyed ihe historic neighborhood, too.

Located just a few minutes from the Jacksonville's best restaurants, downtown, public transportation, airport, and historic districts. Our duplex is just 2 short miles from the Jaguars TIAA Field, Daily's Place Amphitheater and 3 miles from the Prime Osborn Convention Center. Centrally located to the city center, and beaches. You'll love this burgeoning neighborhood and our lovely home!
Our farm house duplex private apartment is approximately 625 square feet and built circa 1886. It was originally the home to the Hopkins Dairy Farm which pre-dates much of Historic Springfield. We recently updated it with fresh paint, comfortable furnishings and fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. It also has 10 ft ceilings and beautiful original heart pine plank floors, with plenty of natural light, fine bedding, lots of plants, and local coffee. There is one bedroom with a King bed an occasional chair for reading, a full bathroom, living room with sofa and work or dining space, and a full kitchen that comes stocked with new cookware, dishes, flatware, drip coffee maker as well as a Bodum french press pot. There are an assortment of teas, coffee, seltzers, condiments, and a few snacks for you to help yourself to. The bathroom comes stocked with hair dryer, basic toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soap, spare toothbrush, sewing kit, lint roller, and first aid supplies) Roku HDTV included (no cable). PLEASE NOTE: The Farm house house sleeps two. Additional overnight guests are not permitted. We ask you not move furniture to accommodate an air mattress but if one adult sleeps on the sofa and a second in the bedroom there are plenty of linens (just ask!). Two overnight guests is the maximum (not including children under one, the unit is not suitable for toddlers or young children).
Our Farm House is located in an urban core neighborhood. We are the oldest neighborhood in Jacksonville and while many of the homes have been beautifully restored, some are awaiting their opportunity. We ask you keep your belongings secured, we do have an outdoor security cameras that records the front porch, parts of the alley ways and some street activity. Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns about urban core living. This is not the suburbs don’t expect the things that come along with them. We have chosen to live and raise our family here and we'd love to share it with you.

  • One of the nicest Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in! Stylish, nice decor and great communication with our hosts. I stayed here for roughly a week for a conference and wish I could have had more time just to hang out in the Airbnb! I loved the kitchen and used it often to cook meals to save on costs while traveling. When I didn’t want to cook, I had an excessive amount of options for food in the area. I also met the cutest little orange cat on the back deck. If I’m ever back in Jacksonville I will definitely try and stay here again.

    Nicky2019-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean & and comfortable environment. Felt like a home away from home. Would highly recommend it for others to rent!

    Samolu2018-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • Kurt and Allison’s place was perfect. Truly a wonderful space. The first thing that greets you is a subtle yet noticeable clean fresh scent. Such a great feeling when you walk in. There were several small touches that really went the extra mile: sound machine, (Hidden by Airbnb) home, comfy bed, Lara bars and a water glass already at the bathroom sink (for us nighttime pill takers). So thoughtful. These hosts really want you to feel at home. And I did. I wished my stay there was longer.

Welcome to Historic Springfield! Voted 2019 best historic neighborhood in Jax! Enjoy your stay in our spacious, yet cozy apartment with all the amenities of home. Walk the tree lined streets to plenty of restaurants, breweries, and coffee shops in this up and coming neighborhood. New businesses are popping up all the time and we are happy to keep you in the loop! All in all, this is the perfect spot for vacations both long and short. Please take a look for further descriptions and policies.
We have one of the few large lots with old growth trees in the neighborhood. There is plenty of room for your dog or kids to run around the fully fenced yard! We have a large deck with outdoor grill; just coordinate with us for its use.
Springfield was just named 2019's best historic neighborhood in Jacksonville! We have lived here ten years and absolutely love out neighborhood. There is a great sense of community and inclusivity here. We are also the most convenient neighborhood to downtown Jacksonville and the most interesting! New restaurants, coffee shops, and micro-breweries are always opening, most within walking distance. Springfield's revitalization has been amazing to see. As with most neighborhoods in Jax, Springfield had once fallen on hard times, but there is an enormous effort underway to bring it back to it's former glory... and it shows! So while you may see a few houses that need love, trust us when we say it will happen very soon. With our DIY spirit, our community is a constant buzz of energy of historic home restoration. Come enjoy it for yourself!
  • Decent place but thermostat got adjusted while we were gone so it took longer to cool down when we got back and shower is super small. Nice place with a decent price and somewhat secluded

  • 10/10. Beyond expectations. Amazing place for little kids. Huge yard with lots of space and toys and beautiful big old oaks. The place looks better than in the pictures. If you are looking for a good place, close to everything, clean and safe. This is the place!

  • great place close to downtown.

  • It was very clean and nice place to stay. A little far for the beaches. It’s about 30 minutes away. Other than that great place!

  • John’s place was comfortable and stylish. I enjoyed the location and amenities John had to offer.

    Enahoro2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • We left John's house 10 minutes or so after arrival. The space was clean and appeared just as described in photos. Looked comfortable and nice. We decided to leave after having an unpleasant arrival and communication with the host upon arrival (Website hidden by Airbnb) Full transparency, I had not let the host know about one additional guest which meant we had 3 guests not 2. The page indicated 4 allowed guests, but I had not updated him on that. I understood the stress he felt about that because of liability and was apologetic about that. He was understanding after expressing that initial stress (Website hidden by Airbnb) My main criticism is that the he spoke to me and my two female friends in a very condescending tone throughout the entire arrival. He explained about some recent airbnb guests who had violated guidelines and clearly caused stress. One smoker had smoked in the space and he repeatedly emphasized to us multiple times " No smoking ANYTHING". None of us indicated we had any issue with that or that we were smokers but he consistently repeated that he didn't care what we did in our personal lives but no smoking. He spoke about the multiple other ways guests recently had broken rules and disrespected the space. My complaint is less about the content of what was said and much more about the tone of voice we were addressed in (Website hidden by Airbnb) As a woman, I have frequently experienced men speaking to me like a child and it is very triggering to me. This host made me feel like I was being spoken to as a child. It's disrespectful. We decided to leave and not request a refund to not cause any further issue or conflict and go stay at a motel. I felt it was important to leave this review, because if I were another woman who had similar triggers with men in this way, reading about a similar experience would be helpful information for me to take into account or at least be aware of. It is not intended in a retaliatory way, but communication matters a lot and feeling condescension is a very dis empowering experience that for me, doesn't set the tone for a relaxing vacation.

Most are vernacular structures with wood frames. However, there are a few excellent examples of romantic and revival styles. Springfield is home to Queen Anne, Prairie School, Mediterranean, Bungalow, Colonial Revival and a few other architectural styles from the late 19th century. When Springfield was added to the National Registry, there were 1,784 buildings at least a half-century old. Of those buildings 1,686 were residential. Most of the buildings were wood frames, while 201 are masonry. A large majority of the buildings are also two stories, with 10 three-story buildings and a few hundred one-story buildings. In the Spotlight Southern Living Magazine put Springfield in the spotlight in January of 2010. They named the historic district as the #1 “comeback” neighborhood in the south. This honor was due to the many improvements made, which started in the late 1990s. Florida Trend Magazine also honored the Springfield Historic District in the December 2010 issue. What will you Discover in Springfield? Springfield is predominately a residential area. However, this area is also home to the Hogan’s Creek Park System. This historic park system includes the Confederate Park, the Klutho Park and many other parks. About 5% of the land found in Springfield is comprised of parks. There are many beautiful buildings to enjoy within the district and so much more. The Great Fire of 1901 Downtown Jacksonville was struck by a horrible fire in 1901, but Springfield was spared. Even though the fire didn’t destroy the area, the poor zoning and bad decisions nearly did. However, it has risen above its’ past and has grown into one of the most popular historic districts in the south. Many of the homes have been restored, while others are still waiting to be restored. The charming area includes streets lined with trees covered in Spanish moss and plenty of natural areas strategically placed throughout the residential neighborhood. Not only is Springfield a charming area to live, but it’s also a great place to volunteer. The SPAR Council provides efforts to help revitalize the historic district with a 100% volunteer board. Preservation SOS is an all volunteer non-profit working to preserve the historic homes. Sustainable Springfield is also all volunteer and they manage several community gardens and children’s programming. There is also a Mommies Group, Animal Care and Rescue Club, a Beekeeping Club, Book Club, Gardening Club and lots of other volunteer groups and ways to get involved.

Spend a few nights or a few months in this gorgeous, tastefully furnished carriage house located in the heart of historic Springfield, just a 5 min uber to TIAA Field! You'll be just a block away from the rennaisance on Main St and will have a chance to meet all of your amazing Springfield neighbors. Check out a Second Saturday Night Market, a pop up concert in Sesquicentennial Park, the Main St Cruise (last Sunday of the month) or one of the many other events in Jax's urban core!
This unit is on the 2nd floor (around 15 steps to climb) of a garage apartment building. This open, airy unit features a large living room/kitchen, an expansive single bedroom and a bathroom. The unit has vaulted ceilings which give it an open, soaring appearance. It has hardwood floors and brick pavers in the living room and kitchen and carpet in the bedroom. The unit also has an in-unit washer/dryer so it's a great fit for longer term guests. It also has access to a lovely garden and deck shared with the main house where you're welcome to interact with me or my guests if I'm out of town.
Springfield is awesome! It is currently undergoing a rennaissance with a host of new restaurants, coffee shops, small retail stores, art galleries, and breweries opening in and near Main St. It is an urban neighbhood so in particular, guests should ALWAYS ensure that their car doors in particular are locked even if they are not present for a few minutes. There has been a rash of "handle checkers" recently - juveniles who patrol the neighborhood looking for unlocked car doors which they then open. After this they then proceed to remove any valuable contents from inside your car.
  • Loved this place, great stay and the local guide and tips was fantastic!

    Mark2018-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was cozy, safe, and adorable. I loved how after a long day, I could order takeout or utilize the kitchen to make some food, then relax and watch Netflix with the Roku TV in the living room. Eric was probably the best host I’ve ever had, he was very responsive, made check in/check out a breeze, and went above and beyond to make this stay easy and pleasant. This was the only air bnb I could find that was dog friendly, the entire place instead of a private room, and at a great price. 10/10 recommend, I know I’ll definitely be booking again!

    Amy2018-10-04T00:00:00Z

  • Spacious 1 bedroom apartment that was perfect for my business trip to Jax. Neighborhood has gorgeous homes and is clearly on the up and up. Check-in and communication were a breeze, despite the fact that I arrived at 1 AM. Host was incredibly responsive to questions (I sent him something at 2 AM assuming that I'd have an answer when I woke up and he responded within 5 minutes) and helpful. Would recommend and would stay there again on future trips to Jacksonville.

Consistent Superhost home in very quiet neighborhood with amazing reviews! This beautifully-designed smoke-free property is steps away from Baptist and Nemours Hospitals and new MD Anderson Cancer Center--perfect location for business or hospital visitors. 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths, front porch, relaxing park-adjacent backyard and is just a few blocks from restaurants, bars and a brewery. Downtown Jax, the St. Johns River and San Marco Square restaurants & shops are all nearby. #hostwithpride
This stand alone home is a renovated 1928 bungalow with hardwood floors and new open plan kitchen and two full bathrooms. The property sits under a canopy of native cedar and pine trees. The cozy backyard is adjacent to a small park that offers nice views and open space. Great spot for hospital-healing stays! The bungalow appeals more to people who like a restful space. It has two peaceful spots outside to sit: small front porch and backyard. The backyard has string lights to the trees so you can sit back and listen to the cicadas at night. The bungalow is in a quiet neighborhood and definitely will not be your 'party spot'. Neighbors have very small children so late night loud noise won't be tolerated. If your intent is for a wild night, please book a hotel: The Lexington or Doubletree are your options.
San Marco is an historic urban-core neighborhood just to the south of downtown Jacksonville. It's fairly walkable and you will be in close proximity to fine restaurants (Bistro Aix, Taverna, Matthews, Rue St. Marc, Town Hall), casual restaurants (Bearded Pig, La Napolera, Maple Street Biscuit Company), coffee shops (Bold Bean Coffee and Starbucks). San Marco Square offers shopping, casual bars, a cinema and a theatre, and the Southbank of downtown features Treaty Oak, Friendship Fountain and the Southbank Riverwalk. San Marco, along with nearby urban-core neighborhoods Riverside, Avondale and Springfield are historic, diverse, eclectic and welcoming to all.

  • Very cool old southern house. I'm sure it has a lot of history unfortunately I work all the time so didn't have a chance for much conversation but it was a great place and great host

  • The house was AMAZING . The experience was very positive. The hosts were wonderful. If you've ever in Jacksonville I highly recommend Sierra's house. She's the most genuine human you'll ever met.

  • Sierra’s house is incredibly charming. In addition to having one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, the house itself is full of antiques! Absolutely amazing, I highly recommend.

  • A 'must-come-to-stay' place. So conveniently located off the interstate. Two truly exceptionally wonderful hosts. Just as Airbnb was originally meant to be: Travel and make friends. In our Airbnb experience, this was an "A+" visit.

  • My best friend and I had tickets to the Stones concert. It was postponed, so we had to cancel our original reservation for April. Michal was not only completely understanding; she was the one who reached out to me when the show was rescheduled! I was very impressed that she was so thoughtful to make contact. The original rental had already been booked but she said that she had something else for us in the same house. For the next three months, she worked tirelessly to make sure that everything was perfect for our arrival. Throughout this process, she was in constant communication and never failed to respond promptly to give me a status update. Her communication was superb, understanding, and professional. She had no problem with my other best friend, my dog, coming with us. In fact, she welcomed it! Having a big dog, it's often difficult to find a place that greets him with figurative open arms the way that she did. The location was awesome. It took maybe ten minutes to get to the stadium for the show, even with heavy traffic. Neither of us had ever been to Jacksonville, so we were trepidatious about finding the house, especially after a long drive from Atlanta. No problems. It was incredibly easy to locate. Parking was a breeze, as well. Now. The house itself... OH. MY. GOD. It was STUNNING. Both of our mouths hit the floor when we walked inside. It's rare that a hotel or rental actually looks like the online pictures, much less surpasses your expectations. Michal's place did just that. We ran from room to room like little kids, checking everything out, and saying things like, "Dude. DUDE! COME LOOK AT THIS!" We were absolutely amazed by the style, by the amenities, but most of all, by the details. We wanted for nothing. You could immediately tell that this home belonged to someone who genuinely cared about her guests' comfort and enjoyment. We just arrived back home to Atlanta, and I couldn't wait to write this review because we were so blown away by the care and effort that Michal put into every tiny aspect. They say that there's no such thing as perfect. Well. "They" have never stayed in a house owned by this host. It was pure perfection. If we are ever in Jacksonville again, we will definitely be looking for a "hosted by Michal" property. Thank you for everything that you did! You're a rockstar!!!
