  • This apartment is beautifully decorated, with 2 full baths! It is located in a walkable spot in downtown Asheville and since parking is at a premium, the single parking spot that is reserved for you is priceless! Literally right next door to the Cellular Center, it is a great place to stay if you are coming in for a show or just to hang out downtown. Farrel was a wonderful host and provided many thoughtful touches and amenities that most AirBnB's do not provide.

  • Farrel and Jan were fantastic hosts. I would highly recommend their home to anyone. Great location. All around fantastic experience.

    Jessica2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Farrel was an awesome host! His place was great - the photos don’t do it justice . It was so nice of him to put out snacks etc and offer some local tips. It felt like a home away from home! It was also perfect walking distance to everything.

    Amy2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect spot for your trip to Asheville. Convenient to walk downtown or head out of town to hike etc. Farrell was so easy to work with and the place is large, very clean, and well appointed.

    Maggie2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • The condo was great with all amenities and nice touches from toiletries to kitchen pantry. Place was clean and had everything we needed.. .You can certainly walk to downtown which was nice !

    Sitara2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, great location!

    Dartan2018-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was PERFECT! Easy walk to downtown, comfy bed & a clean space- what more do you need? We can’t wait to return to asheville and hopefully this condo will be available to rent!

    Meghan2018-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • First let me start by saying all the extras are there if you need anything! It was just like walking into my own home. We met Farrell at the condo, he showed us around and made sure we had everything. There were breakfast items so we didn’t have to rush out to the store the first night. Farrell and Jan take great care in making sure you have everting you could need, ponchos, umbrellas, information on things in and around Asheville, hairdryers, cleaning supplies, snacks, I could go on and on. There is a little road noise but the white noise machine provided easily drowns that out. I will say there are instructions in the booklet that states the fire trucks will come in the event of a smoke alarm going off, take this seriously! Someone in another condo was cooking at 4am, set the alarm off and we had not 1 but 3 fire trucks show up! That was a great sound-off for my birthday! So you should feel very safe in this condo! The condo is located near very nice restaurants and at the recommendation of Farrell, we went to Chai Pani, if you love Indian food you have to go there for the butter chicken. Asheville is a wonderful community and everyone makes you feel at home. We will be recommending this home away from home to all of our craft beer buddies, as well as those who just want to see all Asheville has to offer! We plan on visiting again soon! Also make sure you go to the Dueling Piano Bar, it’s a great night out!

  • Great place with a great location. Close to all things to do in Asheville.

    Pedja2018-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this condo can't be beat! We enjoyed walking around downtown, exploring the River Arts District, and running through Montford. We would recommend Red Ginger (get the green beans!), Nine Mile, Blue Dream Curry House, Chiesa, Chai Pani, and Tupelo Honey. For breakfast, Over Easy Café was excellent. If you like doughnuts, go to Hole in West Asheville. And for dessert, we'd recommend the French Broad Chocolate Lounge (get the salted caramel liquid truffle and the peanut butter swirl ice cream). The condo was stocked very well, with soap, shampoo, and toilet paper. There were lots of k-cups for the Keurig, along with sugar and creamer. Great space and great host! We hope to return.

    Jessica2019-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re in Asheville to enjoy the attractions of the city center (restaurants, galleries,, theaters) this is a PERFECT location—and it’s a beautifully appointed, well-stocked and comfortable place to make your base for exploring the town!

    Richard2019-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • This condo's location was absolutely perfect! We walked to restaurants, breweries, and shops. We didn't use our car once since our stay, which can be a hard to find parking downtown. The condo was cute, cozy, and very clean. There were amenities such as coffee, creamers, extra pillows, blankets, plenty of towels, comfortable bed, futon, Wifi and amazing shower. The hassle free self check-in was easy and great after a day of traveling. I can't recommend this place enough. It was perfect for us.

    Chrissy2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location for walking the city. Close to restaurants, bars, Whole Foods for groceries, visitors center and shopping all in walking distance. This place is quiet, clean and up to date. Keurig coffee maker with kcups already stocked and provided, spices, salt and pepper, paper products already there. Definitely perfect for two people. Host and prompt service is exceptional. Would not hesitate to stay again and plan to in the future. Lovely city.

    Lisa2019-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Nice space. Extremely clean, very close to downtown. Don was very responsive to questions. I would definitely stay again.

  • We had a great stay at this beautiful apartment - lovely decor and great location! A 5 minute walk to downtown. The apartment has everything you could need - even coffee pods. The owner was great at responding to us - and once we got there checked to be sure that we were settled and happy. Easy in and out - great parking place. Would definitely recommend to anyone headed to Asheville.

Great home base for your Asheville adventure. Explore the mountains and return to your Lexington Market spot, with it's own designated parking space, for all of the downtown nightlife Asheville offers within easy walking distance. Breweries, bars, restaurants, galleries, music etc. . . . Wifi throughout, SMART tv with courtesy Netflix, Walk in shower with 2 shower heads and separate soaking tub.
We provide everything you need for your Asheville stay. Roku tv with Netflix. Very cozy, neat and organized just for our guests.
I love Lexington Market. It is considered the, "Haight Ashbury, " of Asheville.
  • Great location near breweries in Asheville. Easy walk to them and to great food.

    Marty2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and great host! Definitely recommend!

    James2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The proximity to downtown Asheville is fantastic. You can easily walk to anything you want downtown. The place is located at one end of town between Asheville’s concert venue and the expressway. My wife and I always felt safe there. The pictures show it all. This is a small garden level studio around the back side of the building. It’s in a very convenient location for exploring the downtown area.

    Andy2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! John made the process easy and offered some great suggestions for local spots nearby.

    GracieLee2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice and clean. First experience with Airbnb and exceeded our expectations. Within walking distance of everything downtown. Strongly recommend if searching for something downtown, and easy access to everything Asheville and surrounding area.

    Mary2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location. I was able to walk everywhere within the downtown area. Lyft was average of $8. Had plenty of towels, shampoo/soap, and coffee. Ice didn’t seem to work for the fridge but it wasn’t an issue for me. Always a prompt response from John and highly recommended for your downtown adventure.

    Troy2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • John was a great host. We were only in Asheville for a weekend and with all the local tips he gave us we had a great time. The location is great too because it’s right in downtown so you can walk everywhere. He was quick to respond on any questions we had and we would love to stay again. Highly recommend staying here.

    Trevor2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for everything, John. You have a very comfortable place, we were especially excited upon seeing the double shower heads a fun luxury to offer your guests! We appreciate your super quick responses and you went above and beyond with your recommendations and the warning about rush hour traffic(which had not even crossed our minds!). Your thoughtful responses made us feel like we were staying with a friend! The location is fantastic, it was very easy to walk around downtown and head back for an afternoon nap if it was needed.

A spacious, well-appointed room dedicated to the pineapple, a universal symbol of hospitality. Enjoy a meaningful travel experience while staying in our beautiful, historic home situated on Chestnut Hill just north of downtown. With a western view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this first-floor room contains a very small, ensuite bathroom w/ walk-in shower, personal amenities and access to our shared kitchen & porch. Located just one block from yoga, coffee shop, restaurants, groceries & downtown.
Also referred to as the Pineapple Room, this spacious yet cozy room is located on the first floor of our 1903 home which has retained much of its original character, including a lovely heart pine dressed foyer. The Pineapple Room is a large room with original hardwood floors, 10 foot ceiling, and three floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the wraparound front porch. The room is furnished with a queen-sized bed, desk, tv, mini fridge, and closet. The attached, small but adequate ensuite bathroom contains a walk-in shower. In the room one finds an antique suitcase that has been converted for clothing storage. Towels, soap, shampoo, miscellaneous personal products and a hair dryer are available for guest use. Friends, guests and acquaintances have shared the wealth of pineapples that adorn the room. We challenge our guests to count all of the pineapples! There are no cleaning fees charged upon booking this space because we offer our guests, by default, the option to clean up after themselves. Alternatively for a fee of $25 one of the residents will clean the space. Cleaning involves making the bed, taking out trash, vacuuming floors, and cleaning the bathroom, such that the room is ready for the next guests. Household amenities include a kitchen fully stocked with coffee, tea and all the cooking basics and the shared use of our “circle room”, its large screen tv and half bath. We occasionally share meals with our guests. Fruits and baked goodies frequent the kitchen countertops. There is a washer, dryer, detergent and large sink in the basement should the need arise to do laundry. A cute nook off the foyer is available for lounging, as is the wraparound front porch overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains, a lovely space for relaxing while enjoying a wonderful view of the setting sun. The shaded street contains many historic homes and makes for a lovely neighborhood walk. Downtown is half to three quarters of a mile, depending on the route taken. The atmosphere in the home is relaxed and autonomous. Four residents occupy the upper floors of the home and are readily available should a need arise. There are two airbnb rooms on the first floor, with the other being the Stardust Sprinkles room. Guests use the front door while Residents normally use a separate entrance, offering an additional element of privacy. Note that we have one cat that typically stays on the second floor of the property. He is not to enter the guests rooms. We offer an authentic opportunity to experience community without the commitment that one frequently finds in "intentional" arrangements. Our community is worldwide and we are aware and respectful of the fact that we live in a technological, fast-paced society. Gypsy lifestyles are now the envy of many. We are here in support of that lifestyle, but also support those individuals who choose to root themselves deeply in home life. Hence you'll find a mix of folks in this particular location. All are mature, quiet, respectful adults, busy living their lives while furthering MCA values and intentions. OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS: We are a TOBACCO-FREE property. All cigarette smoking will require that you take a walk away from the property. We have a 2-night minimum stay for weekend nights. If Saturday is already booked the requirement does not apply. We absolutely require Offline Verification since this is the method available through Airbnb that firmly establishes a guest's identity. We consider this to be a safety-related decision that ensures transparency by validating the identity of those staying in our home. Therefore, reservations will not be accepted until "Offline Verification" appears below the guest's profile.
We love everything about our neighborhood! The street is lined with mature trees and large, older homes full of character, reminiscent of days gone by. Ashevile Yoga Center is especially close our physical location, as it is to our hearts. We enjoy hosting yogis, as well as other health practitioners who come to stay with us from near and afar, all of whom are kindred spirits. We meet many new friends through our hosted arrangements. Many shopping needs can be met by walking. We are one cattycornered block from Trader Joe’s and a small Whole Foods location, as well as Harris Teeter. Liberty Coffee Shop and Elements are just down the road, beside the Asheville Yoga Center which is a 1 ½ block walk away. Plant, a vegetarian restaurant with critical acclaim is also just a block away. City Bakery, Taco Temple, Gan Shan are right down the street. Multiple health practitioners and therapists can be found scattered about Chestnut Hill.
  • All worked very well and the Pineapple Room was delightful. Help was available, should we have needed it

    Mike2015-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great one night stay in the Pineapple Room! It was nice to have the on-suite bathroom and access to the porch with a great view. I definitely recommend this place! Amy was very communicative and kind.

    Christina2019-06-28T00:00:00Z
  • We love staying here! This is our 3rd time. We love the community feel and the hosts are nice and accommodating. The house us close to downtown and many places to shop and eat. Very close to the Grove Park Inn. Thanks for having us again!

    Beth2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing space, location, hosts and stay! The house is beautiful and restored with original woodwork - the room and public spaces are very funky, chic and clean. The hosts are very kind but respect privacy, and there is plenty of parking around the house. Absolutely wonderful stay - go pineapples!!!

    Devon2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Short stay at Pineapple Paradise - only in town for the night. Cleaned up, as requested. Then to my dismay, I received an email stating that there were holes in the pillow cases and we were being charged $75. I called to discuss this with Amy but she wasn't willing to help resolve. We didn't put holes in the pillow cases. very disturbing experience for me and my daughter. So much for a model community.

    Lynn2015-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great community of folks, very welcoming, great space and a great location

    James2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • The room was exactly as depicted, and the bathroom super charming as well. Excellent access to downtown. Wonderful neighborhood, lots of trees and big porches. No sense that it was one block from a busy street. I was greeted by one of the residents, nice chat and she helped me make the bed - as putting on one's own sheets is required, as described. There was a sweet chalkboard pineapple propped on the pillows that said, "Welcome Heather". Bed and bedding were so comfortable. Everything about this space was inviting. Great sense of privacy but not a sense of isolation. Wished for more time to stay. Reading on the porch would have been nice, but alas the was no time for me to linger.

    Heather2015-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay of 4 nights immensely. Our hosts made it clear that we could come and go as we pleased and socialize with them if we chose. We both loved chatting with them and sharing the kitchen. The room was comfortable and quiet. (The futon bed as pictured is no longer in the room.) It was an easy walk to downtown Asheville and to close by grocery stores. My husband and I both highly recommend this Airbnb location for a visit to the Asheville, N.C. region.

  • Friendly folks. Stellar location!

  • Excellent location right on Biltmore Ave. easy walk to restaurants, bakery, local stores, ice cream shops, food co-op next store with a nice selection of food and drinks. Directly across from the Orange Peel and Wicked Weed Brewery. I felt safe (single woman traveling alone) and never had issue having to wait for bathroom. I was in room 11 and I enjoyed it - window that opens, ceiling fan, and AC if needed. Mini frig, nice bed, sink in room. It is a no frills stay in historic very large home with long term residents and Air BB guests. If you are ok with that and shared bath it’s a great place to stay for a great value. Kathleen (host) was very responsive and accommodating.

    Lynn2019-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn't beat the location of this Airbnb! The room was pretty bare bones, but had everything one would need, and the shared spaces were kept clean. No issues with noise during my stay. If you're ok sharing a building with several residents, you can't beat the value!

    Hannah2018-09-26T00:00:00Z

    Travis2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay for a weekend getaway in Asheville! The response to my inquiries were always quick. The place was in a perfect location, in the heart of downtown, and walkable to all of the breweries and good food that Asheville has to offer! The price was extremely affordable (especially considering the location). Amenities were clean and I never had to wait to use one of the shared restroom areas. Will definitely stay here again next time I head to Asheville for a weekend getaway!

A beautiful one-hundred year old Richard Sharp Smith historic home in Montford neighborhood. 3 blocks from the center of town, 5-15 minute walk to everything. Hot tub, high speed wi-fi and cable tv, outdoor spaces for relaxation, gourmet kitchen.
You will be staying in the "Blue Room". This is downstairs next to the "Green Room". Those two rooms share the Mauve bathroom. This home is a quick 5 minute walk from the center of downtown. This historic neighborhood is peaceful, yet only a short walk to all the fun activities downtown. Fantastic restaurants nearby, the Pritchard Park drum circle, the US Cellular Center, and St. Lawrence Basilica are only three blocks away. We are a 5 minute drive from UNCA.. You won't need to move your car once you are settled in, unless you decide to go to the Biltmore Estate and Biltmore Village, 10 minutes away. Easy access to the Blue Ridge parkway, NC Arboretum, Folk Art Center and much more!
I love the beautiful old historic homes in this Montford neighborhood. My house dates from circa 1910, termed a "Victorian cottage", and built by Richard Sharp Smith. Many of the homes in the neighborhood date from the 1880's. This Victorian neighborhood was the first suburb of Asheville. It is very quiet and friendly. Lots of beautiful walking opportunities around the neighborhood.
  • We had a great stay with Rita and Jeff. They were warm, friendly and full of ideas. Our only regret is that we didn't plan more time to stay in Asheville. Next time we will plan better!

    Mery2016-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely loved Rita's Victorian Cottage! The entire property is charming and inviting, as is the host. The Blue Room was perfect for me - very quiet and cozy with a super-comfy bed. Rita was very helpful to me as I made plans to explore the Asheville area, arranged transportation, and even got up very early in the morning to see me off when it was time to go home! I loved the whole neighborhood, which is just a few blocks' walk to downtown. Highly recommended - I hope to return soon!

    Vicki2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second stay at Rita's. What a wonderful, friendly, and great place to spend the night! I would not hesitate to stay here again!!!!

  • Rita was very welcoming and helpful. She was also happy to offer advice about restaurants and sites around Asheville. The bathroom and kitchen were well supplied and we were made to feel at home.

    Rebecca2015-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE our experience was wonderful. Rita & Jeff were warm and welcoming. We felt right at home, even to be able to use the kitchen and our own drawer in the fridge. We'll be back!

    Patricia2014-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Rita and Jeff were very welcoming and gracious hosts. The room was on the first floor with a shared bathroom and it was clean and quiet. Sharing the bathroom was not an issue as there was just one other room/guest we were sharing with and we didn't even see them during our stay. Having access to the kitchen to make coffee and hot water was great. Having a mini-fridge in our room was very convenient. Beyond the hospitality which was great, the location was awesome. It was a 10 minute walk from downtown and very easy to get around. We really appreciated being able to come and go and Rita and Jeff were very laid back. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Asheville!!

The most important things for me are: clean and fresh, nice ambiance (decor), firm cozy bed, with quality linens, hot water and good pressure in shower and an area you can make a snack, coffee or tea. The room is equipped with a small fridge, toaster oven, electric kettle and coffee maker some basics (condiments, tea, coffee) and utensils. Original art work enhances wall spaces. Air Conditioning for hot summer days. A table with 2 chairs, for hanging out. There are lots of great little extras. I am happy to stock granola, organic yogurt and milk, good coffee, fruit and if you have something you love, just ask! You have a semi-private entrance, so if you are out and about late, no worries. There is a true feeling of privacy in the back of the house. Green fenced in backyard with table and chairs to relax - smokers welcome outside. Your safety is important to me - Locks on guest doors, fire extinguishers, smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, safety card, motion sensor lights by entrances, and off street parking etc.. My driveway can accommodate 2 medium size SUV. If you have a very large SUV or truck you may have to park on street where there is typically ample parking. Only 3 blocks to town where you can enjoy many restaurants, breweries, galleries, shops , Asheville Yoga Studio (about 7 blocks) and more. Best of both worlds: close to the downtown, but quiet space when you are ready to relax. Dogs are welcome, but please check in with me BEFORE you book, so that I can send the pet rules to be sure you can abide by them. Fenced in yard for romping. We love animals. There is a $10 Pet fee per visit. I have tried to think of all the necessities, lots of conveniences, and many luxurious extras. I want you to feel at home and pampered. If there is something I missed, I am open to suggestions and requests. Most of the beautiful photos were taken by an Airbnb photographer with a wide angle lens that does distort the room size a bit.
This home is in the charming, historic Montford which has beautiful Victorian homes, tree-lined streets, and fabulous gardens. It is just three blocks to town, where there are cafes, music, and shopping.
  • Lizzy's place was beautiful! A convenient walk to the downtown area if you're ok with getting in some extra steps. It's located in a Quiet residential neighborhood. She was a great host and we definitely recommend staying here!

    Melanie2017-05-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lizzy was a great host! We saw her out front right when we arrived. She greeted us and answered any questions we had. She was also willing to chat and get to know you if you wanted, but also would give you your privacy. The room was super clean and cute. It had everything we needed so we didnt need to ask for anything more. Lizzy provided us with yogurt, milk, and, granola for some morning snacks. There was also a coffee pot with all the necesssities. Perfect for coffee and tea lovers :) Eventhough, there is another guest room in the hallway and there were guests there it was still private. I love that there was a keypad with a code to get into thw hallway with the guestrooms. It made you feel safe. The location was perfect! It was only a few blocks from downtown. We never used our car to drive anywhere since we were able to walk. I would recommend staying at Lizzys place and we will definetly keep it in mind for when we come back to Asheville.

  • This is a very cozy room with a very comfy bed. Lizzy is a wonderful hostess and gave us great tips on where to go downtown. She even called me when we were walking off in the wrong direction! Also I love the toiletries and chocolate by the bed was a welcomed surprise. Would definitely stay here again!

    Sharon2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing stay in Asheville! This was the first time we stayed in a “private room” instead of the “entire home” and it was great! The directions given for parking/check-in were precise and easy to understand and follow. The room was filled with extra special touches including fresh flowers. We will definitely stay here again!

    Brian2018-10-24T00:00:00Z
  • Lizzy's place was absolutely perfect! It is beautiful, quiet, clean, and convenient walking distance to downtown. There are also so many great places that are only a very short drive away. Lizzy has thought of absolutely anything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay! She is also just a very lovely person. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this Airbnb experience! I would absolutely stay here again and would highly recommend it to other people.

    Mary2017-05-17T00:00:00Z

  • This home was perfect for our weekend trip to Asheville! Holly provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house was clean and welcoming. The location was PERFECT for brewery hopping and city exploration. We never took the car- just meandered through the amazing restaurants, food trucks, and bars. This will be the house we rent when we visit again! Thanks for sharing your lovely home, Holly!

  • Great house! Wonderful location.

    Nicholas2016-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • The place was beautiful, very convenient to everything, and very cozy. We had more than enough space to relax, cook and even entertain a few friends. The next-door neighbors are friendly, and it definitely feels hidden away while still being right in the middle of it all. I will definitely consider this space again when I return to Asheville.

    Aaron2014-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Holly's house is absolutely stunning! It's beautifully decorated and very spacious with a beautiful front veranda and big back yard. Lovely, quiet and pretty neighbourhood that's a short walk from downtown Asheville. Holly was really approachable and friendly. There was a neighbourhood blackout due to a storm when we arrived and holly came straight over to help. We adored our stay and we strongly recommend staying here!

    Paris2014-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Quick walk to the numerous breweries and the shops and resturants of Asheville. The Biltmore is just 5 minutes down the street by car. Comfortable home with a relaxing front porch, and with everything you'll need for a lovely stay in Asheville.

    Don2017-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Adorable home with all of the necessary amenities! It was very nice to be close to downtown when we wanted to get out and the front porch was so cozy and quiet when we wanted to sit and be lazy. We would definitely stay here again. Much better than staying in a boring hotel.

    Christina2015-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space and location. Lots of lovely touches, Holly is a pro. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!

    Carisse2017-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Holly's place is a cozy little home close to downtown. We were within walking distance to restaurants and breweries, and hardly used our car during our trip. The home was very comfy and all basic essentials were provided, including shampoo and conditioner. It was the perfect place for our getaway weekend!

Historic Montford home. 3 blocks from the civic center and downtown. This is an old home in a wonderful neighborhood. The space has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath with a common hallway area where you’ll find a small fridge, coffee and snacks. The larger room has a king and an air mattress is available. The space has character, very comfortable, very clean, and very convenient to all that asheville has to offer. It’s short walk to downtown, coffee shops, restaurants, bars and breweries.
Old home in historic neighborhood. You’ll have the whole 2nd floor to yourselves and access to the front yard and porch. There is a private stairwell to the second floor. There are two bedrooms, and a bathroom. In the common hallway you’ll find coffee and a fridge, 6 pack of local beers and some snacks provided. I live on the first floor. We may see each other come and go but the spaces are separate and private
Montford is just north of downtown. The Flint Street House is 3 blocks(on the same street!) from the civic center in historic Montford. This neighborhood is full of great architecture and parks.
  • Great places to stay. Has lots of character and history. We definitely felt at home.

    Tyler2018-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great location to downtown- It was about a 8-10 minute walk to the start of the downtown area (and there is free street parking!). Micha reached out a few days before to make sure we didn't have any questions, and was very friendly when we met him. The bedrooms are both pretty large, and the full bath was no issue to share. The beer in the fridge and coffee was a great touch!

    Lauren2018-06-13T00:00:00Z
  • Micha is the ultimate host. Fabulous location, loved the neighborhood, and minutes from anywhere!!!! A+++ to Micha! TY!!

    Karen2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Micha's place is convenient to downtown Asheville and was extremely comfortable for me and my parents. Communication was great, beds we're comfy, and the local beers in the fridge were a great touch. Highly recommended!

  • Great space, near downtown Asheville. Very attentive and great communication, with very clean rooms and restroom! Would definitely stay again.

    Santiago2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • BEST LOCATION! I had the loveliest loveliest time here at Micha’s House. He’s such a kind person and hospitable host - made Asheville feel like home. Downtown is such a short walk from his location as well - where there are so many yummy eats! You are also in walking distance of a handful of grocery stories - Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods. The beds are really just the comfiest things too. Needless to say I couldn’t have found a better host for our stay. Thank you for everything!

Easily stroll home from exploring music, food, beer, and art venues downtown. Relax in a living room with an inviting green-and-grey design motif. Soak in a bathtub before crossing a quiet carpeted floor to a bedroom with a bold wall covering.
The space is well lit, private and quiet. Since sleeping is key to me, this place features an over the top comfortable bed and bedroom. It features a brand new plush king size mattress and two types of pillows to choose from. The sheets are the best and softest you will ever experience! I also really love how serene it is while still being convenient to walking all over downtown.
The townhouse is in Downtown Asheville, right across from the Cellular Center.
  • Great place!! Walking distance to everything we wanted to do downtown. Quiet area, tucked away. Great king bed, very comfortable! Lots of nice touches and plenty of space. Very clean. I highly recommend this place! Katie was great to work with and made the stay easy.

    David2018-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Came to Asheville with my husband for my birthday. Great first impression walking in. Super clean and exactly like the pictures. Katie's place is perfectly located and everything is super close. There was coffee left for us, but we didn't have any as we don't drink coffee. However, I did use the bubble bath soap and the giant tub! The entire apartment was very nicely decorated and the bed/pillows were so comfortable. My husband raved about the pillows! I definitely recommend staying at Katie's!

    Jackie2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is beautiful and comfortable. Very spacious. Very good location, walking distance to downtown and all the restaurants and bars.

    Nicole2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Katie’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway to Asheville. The location made downtown walkable and the space itself was outstanding. When I plan future trips, this condo will be the first place I look.

    Kalen2019-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Katie’s apartment is lovely and very comfortable and secure. You’ll feel right at home. It’s close walk to downtown and a short trip up the road to Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods to stock the clean fridge! She has been thoughtful and attentive through the process. This was our first ABnB and we were very pleased!

    Mitzi2018-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Katie was communicative and helpful. Her place was perfectly located for our needs and she made us feel at home with her fantastic apartment. There is no sound from the highway nearby and you can walk to everything downtown. PS, the bed was super comfortable - we're thinking about getting a new mattress now!

    Miranda2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, comfortable place - in a convenient location. Check-in was a breeze!

    Will2019-08-11T00:00:00Z

  • Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. If you want prime location for shopping or night life this is the perfect spot.

    Matthew2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great experience here. David was easy to communicate with and gave amazing dinner and hiking recommendations to us. The space was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The kitchenette was great for making a light breakfast, and the shower was amazing (I hate gross showers when I travel, but this was so clean). You could walk to 3 different grocery stores, but the best part is its proximity to downtown. It is a short (10 minute as advertised) walk, and it is a very safe walk as well. Next time we are in Asheville, we will certainly stay here.

    Christy2016-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Asheville at David's place. The walk into downtown was so convenient we didn't even mind doing it in the rain. The space was just what we needed - very comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower. Good to know before you go that there isn't a living room/TV, but that's fine as you should be out enjoying Asheville! David is a wonderful host who was there to show us around the place, welcome us, and answer any questions. Would definitely stay here again.

    Jessica2015-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect--quiet, comfortable, reasonably-priced, and easy walking distance to downtown and other areas around Asheville. There are multiple grocery stores right on the corner in case you forgot toothpaste or whatever. David was a perfect host: he accommodated our late arrival, and stocked the apartment with everything we could need. We had a private entrance and easy parking. If you go--which you should--be sure to eat dinner at Plant, a world-class vegan restaurant right around the corner (neither of us are vegan, but we both loved it).

    Julia2016-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • David was a great host. He helped us find hikes and activities to do during our stay. He's a great resource who knows the area well. The residence was cute and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Will likely stay here again next time I am in town!

    Melissa2015-12-30T00:00:00Z

Great downtown condo right across from the US Cellular/Harrah's Cherokee Center. Safe, keypad-locked building with elevator access. Top floor = nobody above you. Easy walking distance to just about anything downtown. Coffee shops, restaurants, retail shops, grocery stores, activities, and more within blocks of the front door. Biltmore Estate and access to the Blue Ridge Parkway for hiking trails are within a 15 minute drive.
Get more out of your stay in Asheville with this little home away from home. Enjoy having a full-size kitchen and living room in addition to the bedroom and bathroom in this 600+ SF condo. This makes for a much more spacious stay than a hotel. You will have a free, dedicated parking spot just outside and elevator access that will make it easy for bringing in luggage. You won't need to use your car during your stay, though, because you are close enough to walk to just about anywhere you would want to go downtown. An internal access hallway buffers the majority of highway noise from I-240 to the North from entering the space. The living room is on the North side adjacent to this hallway, and the bedroom faces the city. The space is cleaned with environmentally-friendly products and no harsh chemicals are used. A portion of proceeds from this listing goes towards foster care organizations.
This condo is in within walking distance to all that downtown Asheville has to offer. Area coffee shops, restaurants, retail shops, grocery stores, activities, and more are all within walking distance.

  • We were only in Asheville for one night and Jesse’s place was perfect for what we needed. The location was within walking distance to downtown (about 10 minute walk) so there was no need to worry about a cab or parking ourselves. Room was more than enough for two people and Jesse made it easy for us to check in and out. Great breakfast diner right around the corner too! We would definitely stay here again next time we make it to Asheville.

  • Outstanding response time and charming, cozy home right in the heart of Asheville. Short drive to all that it happening down town!

  • Just a small hop, skip and jump from downtown, Wren's place is surprisingly quiet when you realize how many houses are in the neighborhood or how to close to downtown you are. For our weekend in Asheville we were literally a short walk or a few miles from everything we came to do except the waterfalls hike on our way home. Perfect location for an weekend getaway or a business trip. Obviously it's a shared space, but a lovely one and quite like the European feel of a shared kitchen and livingroom which I have done before in an airbnb in eastern Europe. Close your door for privacy or hang out in the kitchen to make a new friend.

    Jennifer2019-07-28T00:00:00Z

  • Overall, Wren’s place was great. Close to downtown and clean. We stayed at the same time as another guest and did have the issue of hearing them in the kitchen and bathroom shutting doors loudly at 5am but other than that no complaints!

Welcome to the Mag House! This house has been in the family for about 10 years now, and only recently renovated. Only about a 10 minute walk from downtown Asheville, this was home to my best college friends and I. It's now a quant, clean, and cozy little home in the heart of Asheville. My best friend, Betsy, and myself currently live here. You have access to the entire downstairs, which will be shared with the two of us (minus your bed/bathroom). Can't wait to meet you!
Only a short walk to downtown ( no Ubers/Lyfts necessary if you're open to about a 10 minute walk). You have keyless access to the house. Bedroom is clean and includes speaker, projector that connects to a laptop, and newly renovated bathroom.
Montford is truly one of the most beautiful neighborhoods I've ever seen. I highly recommend walking up the street towards the greater Montford Ave, and check out all the intricate architecture in some of the homes. Just a heads up, though! We have had people break into unlocked cars, so lock your cars up, and please, please, please, lock the house when you leave if no one is home. This house is my livelihood and is jam packed with priceless family possessions
  • Spencer and Betsy were awesome. Although they were not around much due to work. They gave us free range of almost the entire house. Which made it really feel like home. Very easy walk to downtown. As well as a stockpile of delicious cereal to munch on. 10 out of 10 would stay here again.

  • Amazing place!!! Will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

    Sarah2018-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • Spencer is super accommodating and nice! Perfect place for great price!

  • Great location and kind hosts!

    Jenn2019-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Prime location, beautiful home, such an inviting space, and so many great little touches! Thank you so much Spenser! Will definitely be booking here again next time I’m in town!

    Andrea2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • The house was clean and very cozy. We never got to meet Spenser and spent most of our time exploring around but at night, the projector was a great amenity so we could watch shows. The house had enough toilet paper and towels, we slept very comfortably. The place is about a 5 min. drive from downtown which was extremely convenient, the location couldn't have been more perfect. I'm currently pregnant so we drove to downtown each time, plus it was rainy most of the days there but it seems like an easy walk. Parking was never a problem, we parked on Magnolia St. and there was always plenty of spots. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

    Vanessa2018-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Mag house was wonderful. It was easily accessible, beautiful decor and all around great for our one night stay. All the necessities were included and the projector was a lovely touch!

    Kim2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Spencer's! He has a lovely home and the room was super clean and exactly as pictured. The bed was comfy and the location was perfect for walking into town. Would definitely stay again!

You'll discover that strolling through the neighborhood, with its large trees and shade-covered lanes, is a joy unto itself, and there are many fine walks you can do right out the front door.
  • Great place to experience Asheville as a local. Pay close attention to their recommendations...they were all top notch. Even though there was a shared space, we had plenty of privacy. Would stay here again!

  • Marty and Robyn are great, friendly, considerate people and awesome hosts. Their place is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The location is extremely convenient to town, we walked in / out almost every time we went. We'll definitely recommend it to friends.

  • This is a wonderful spot to stay when visiting Asheville!!! It is a 10 minute walk to the excitement of this fun city and an easy location to pick up pastries from a local bakery or coffee shop before heading out for the day. It is very clean, comfortable and welcoming. It was so thoughtful to have a handwritten note to me with some healthy snacks the day I arrived! The decor made it a very relaxing place to come back to after a busy day -- whether you have been out to the shops, visiting the many local sites or driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway. My daughter and I were delighted to meet our hosts. Marty and Robyn are lovely and have thought of everything to help with your stay such as brochures, guide book and their own personal favorite places to check out (restaurants, activities). They really are quite attentive to the details that make for a relaxing trip. They were also always quick to respond to my questions prior to and during my stay. With so much to do in Asheville, I definitely want to come back -- and hope to stay with Marty and Robyn again.

  • We had a great stay in Ashville and loved the live music at ISIS, the tour at Sierra Brewing, ribs at 12 bones BBQ and the view of the Ashville sunset from our dinner at the Park Grove Inn. The suggested sites to see from our host were super! The house was super clean and the extra touches like local brewery beer in the fridge, a french press with coffee freshly ground coffee to put in it, a great selection of teas and a basket of snacks was over the top! We look forward to coming back soon.

    Lawrence2018-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Marty are Robyn were amazing hosts. The place were very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We ran into them a few times and they were extremely welcoming. They provided some great recommendations for things to do around town. We would definitely stay there again next time we visit!

ONE BEDROOM/ ONE PRIVATE FULL BATHROOM/ 566 SQ FT They say that wherever you go, there you are. We say, when you go to Asheville, this is where you want to be. Right here, in the heart of Asheville. Right here, on N. Lexington Ave., in a building once home to farmers and growers and today the heart of all things trendy, artsy and quintessential.
Right here, in Unit 202 at 80 LEX: in an ultra-sleek, über-chic 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom apartment that epitomizes the heart, soul and spirit of trendy Asheville. Because here, in 566 square-feet of industrial loft space, exposed brick, pops of color, and layered textures, Unit 202 offers an only-in-Asheville kind of retreat: handpicked décor and vintage furnishings, curated artwork and upholstered barn doors. A home-away-from-home that is both on trend and yet, thoroughly welcoming. A rental above trendy shops and on the same block as Asheville’s hottest restaurants and unlisted bars. A hop, skip, and a jump to the city’s best festivals. Your key to all of Asheville. Yes, wherever you go, there you are. So, be here, in Unit 202 at 80 LEX. Welcome! ☀☀☀ INDUSTRIAL LOFT-CHIC DESIGN ☀☀☀ Unit 202 at 80 LEX is special. It’s probably not like anything you have at home, but it is exactly the urban-chic feel you seek in Asheville. It is industrial. It is warm. It is creative inspiration. It is home. Or, a home-away-from-home, at least. Unit 202 at 80 LEX is professionally designed for an ultra-custom feel. We’re talking details like brick feature walls, custom upholstery, locally made mattresses, and a curated collection of antique and new furnishings. Vintage barware. Thickly layered texture, color, and patterns. Funky wallpaper. Handpicked art. This is where modern meets old world, and it couldn’t be any more Asheville. It’s the perfect complement to your downtown experience.
☀☀☀ LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! ☀☀☀ If you’ve ever wandered through downtown Asheville, then you’ve felt the wanderlust (and “wonder-lust)” of N. Lexington Avenue. This is the most hip and quintessential street in Asheville – a place where restaurants go unadvertised and the best bars have no signs, just a door. This is a place where high-end art galleries abut record shops, upscale shoe stores, and more. And, while Real Life may be about compromise – sacrifice This to get That – we believe that vacation should be a special time. A time you get both This and That, no compromise required. 80 LEX is your no-compromise-required destination: both urban and urbane, situated right in the beating heart of our vibrant city. Enveloped by the energy and excitement of downtown life, Unit 202 embodies and embraces the Asheville scene – a scene that draws designers and artists, creatives and music lovers, foodies and artisanal beverage aficionados alike. Here’s what awaits: • Dining: Asheville is a food-and-drink dream – there’s a reason Livability.com named us a Top 10 Foodie City! – and from 80 LEX, you’re just minutes to much of your must-eat list, including Curate, French Broad Chocolate Lounge, Limones, Rhubarb, Posana, Table, Nightbell, Chai Pani, The Market Place, Cucina 24, Mamacita’s & Wicked Weed. • Shopping: Royal Peasantry and Earth Magick are both located directly below Unit 201, while Honeypot Vintage, the Downtown Asheville Tea Room, and Hip Replacements Clothing, among other must-see shops, are located on the same block. • Urban Trail Art Tour: Art lovers, put yourself right in the center of Asheville’s Urban Trail, a 1.7-mile walking tour home to 30+ stops at creative landmarks, public sculptures, dioramas, and more. • Festivals: From Downtown After Five (once a month, in summer) and the Lexington Avenue Arts Fest, to Drum Circle and Art in the Park, downtown Asheville, Lexington Avenue, and the River Arts District are ripe with arts, culture, and creative pursuits. • Chicken Alley: Stray chickens no longer roam downtown Asheville, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pay a visit to historic Chicken Alley, just outside Unit 201. • Live Entertainment: Asheville has a vibrant music community, but reading through dozens of venue websites can be tedious and time consuming. Checkout these venues within walking distance: Asheville Music Hall, The Orange Peel, U.S. Cellular Center (aka Civic Center), Barley’s Taproom, Jack of the Wood, One Stop, Tressa’s, Tiger Mountain Thirst Parlor, 5 Walnut Wine Bar. With so many shows happening each week, it can be easy to miss one of your favorite bands. Asheville Music Guide (AMG) is an independent, locally developed online resource that aims to help fans of live music stay up to date with shows happening at all of the venues in Asheville.
  • Pictures do not lie, this place is beautiful, cozy, trendy, and super clean. Kitchen has all the necessary amenities, but we recommend eating out at the great restaurants recommended by our host. The bathroom has a stash of toiletries if you happen to forget something, which is a really nice touch. Great location with short walk or ride-share to restaurants and breweries. The Coffee Shop two doors down is great, though the unit also had plenty of coffee available. Lexington Avenue has great shopping, drink, food and people-watching. Some prior reviews talked about street noise as a possible concern but we thought it was quiet, especially if you shut the bedroom door. There is a sound machine and ear plugs available if you need them. Highly recommend this unit or any of the other 3 in the building. 3 levels of security during the evening make this an ultra safe choice. 5 Stars across the board!!!

    Jay2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, really nice apartment with lots of thoughtful touches (wine, coffee, separate washcloths for removing cosmetics, etc). It’s above shops and restaurants but was never too loud.

  • Great place to stay with an excellent location in downtown Asheville. I plan to rebook next visit!

  • Cleanliness, stylish, location, privacy and security all in one package. If your looking for the ultimate bnb in Asheville this is it. Convenient parking garage (with security) 1 block away. I’ll definitely look forward to staying here the next time I travel to Asheville! Thanks Andrew.

  • Great apartment!! Location is awesome, we got our car out of parking only once through our our stay.

    Micah2018-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Andrew’s apartment was absolutely immaculate. Every amenity was thought of (dishes, coffee, coffee creamer, shampoo, conditioner, extra toiletries, laundry, blankets to sit with on the couch, access to tv in living room and bedroom) the list could go on and on. We felt safe and comfortable and wanted to spend more time in the AirBnb than exploring! Highly, highly recommend.

  • It was easy to make arrangements to meet our host who warmly greeted us and showed us the private room as well as the shared living room and kitchen. We had the rooms to ourselves most of the time. Refrigerator space and delicious coffee were provided as well as wifi access. Accommodations were as described in the listing. The neighborhood is undergoing revitalization. It is very convenient to downtown and only 2 blocks from upscale groceries. The neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed our stay and felt that it met all of our needs.

The property is very conveniently located to downtown Asheville, to north Asheville and the Grove Park Inn, and the interstate. We found David's house to be an excellent launching spot for our week long stay. David was an excellent host and my wife and I really enjoyed getting to know him. He recommended several good places to eat, good hiking trails, and he even guided us down the French Broad River! Such a great vacation, thanks David!

  • Great place to stay. It's location really made the entire city walkable for my wife and I. Highly recommend!

  • April has a nice quaint place in the south slope area, walking distance to almost anything you'd care to see in and around downtown Asheville. The parking was easy and the check-in process was painless. We found her place very clean and tidy. The kitchen is well stocked and very spacious. I accidentally left some articles of clothing behind and she went the extra mile to package them up and send them back to me at no extra charge. I will definitely try to book her place again for my future Asheville trips!

    Steve2016-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • April was great and reached out to us with recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. The location is great and you have access to parking. The neighborhood is very quiet, but near to everything you might want access to in Asheville.

    Holly2015-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • The room was in a great location and we found it easy to get around. The apt was clean and tidy. Great breweries within minutes and other food options also within walking distance.

    Cathy2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • April’s place was simply perfect! We were a very short walk to many breweries, eateries, coffee shops, and the famous Orange Peel concert venue. Only 3 miles from the Biltmore too. The sunny studio was so welcoming, I wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else in Asheville!

    Adam2018-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • As good as the previous reviews indicated. Great to be so close to downtown. Place has everything you need, and feels like Asheville. Simple in and out. Will be back.

    Mark2017-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb was so charming and quaint. You really can't beat the location! We had a great time, our only minor complaint was the bed was very uncomfortable. Other than that small detail though everything was wonderful and we enjoyed our stay!

Historic & charming urban escape in Downtown AVL . Walk to the best Downtown has to offer in 5 minutes. 2 blocks in the other direction takes you to the River Arts District-R.A.D+Great Location & Luxury accommodations! Enjoy!
You are very close to the center of downtown and closer to the budding South slope Brewery and food district as well as the RAD
  • We just love this place; "our home in Asheville"! This was our third summer back, and it won't be the last! All rooms are spacious, beds comfy, the porch is lovely, quiet but central neighbourhood, excellent if you travel with children or a group of four. Danielle is always very quick with answers to questions, and very helpful! Downtown is approximately 10 footminutes away, but there are bars and restaurants in 5. Ample parking, you can drive the car up the private driveway. Big open kitchen with huge gas stove and oven. AC in bedrooms, work well enough to cool the whole house if needed, ceiling fans in all rooms. Plenty of clean bedlinen and towels, huge washing mashine and dryer if you need. There is a french press and espresso cookers, no coffe machine. Bring your own sugar if you need it for your morning coffe in the sun on the big porch! We will definitely go again.

    Vilde2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Danielle’s place is very centrally located and we were able to walk to most of downtown Asheville in a few minutes. The home is beautiful and perfect for 4 guests.

    Randi2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location and easy to walk everywhere from here. Loved having Netflix to relax once we got home from a day of walking too. Will definitely steer friends towards this bungalow for future visits!

    Jill2019-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place is perfect for if you want to check out the local breweries but then get a good quiet night sleep. Highly recommended! Liked the cute porch swing seat. Thanks again!

    Laura2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Danielle’s place was perfect! Location was everything. We were close to the best Asheville has to offer! We had a little trouble finding and getting into the house but Danielle was quick to respond and help us out! Thanks for a great stay!

  • This house is clean, furnished well, and has a homey feel. I would definitely book this place again.

This is it - a rare downtown Asheville condo with a dedicated parking spot! (No more driving around in circles, paying exorbitant parking rates or feeding parking meters!). Since we are located downtown, that means you can easily walk to all your favorite AVL restaurants, shops and breweries. Our condo gives you quick and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate, and other nearby Asheville attractions.
Featuring bamboo floors, granite countertops, natural light, fully furnished modern decor, a full kitchen (complete with coffee maker, blender and toaster oven), new bedroom and bathroom linens, TWO brand new flat-screen TVs, a DVD player, and an in-unit washer/dryer, experience your private living space near the Western Carolina mountains. The futon converts into a full-sized bed for additional guests. Relax, and enjoy yourself in your own little sanctuary with all the comforts of home. We hope you enjoy your stay with us and enjoy Asheville!
We are steps away from the Civic Center and right off of I-240. We're located at the outer edge of downtown Asheville - close enough to be in the heart of it all, but far enough from the hustle and bustle of the city.
  • Great location great place great great great everything was great!

  • Fantastic Airbnb - location could not be better! Right in the heart of downtown Asheville - 5 minute walk to all shops, restaurants, bars, etc Parking space included - first floor unit...easy access. 10 minute walk or short drive to Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Harris Teeter (all 3 adjacent to each other). Eva is a great host, excellent communication and very responsive. Big comfortable bed, deep soaking tub/shower, and the place was spotless.

  • Do not stay here. It is unsatisfactory and unacceptable. The host either has someone else that takes care of it and has not seen it in a while or he just does not care.

    Jeana2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great location!

    Juliana2019-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment was in the perfect location! So easy to walk to all the restaurants and breweries! I didn’t anticipate being able to come and go so easily but because it was so close- we did! It was perfect for a long weekend away. There was also a window ac unit that wasn’t mentioned in the listing so that was also fantastic!

    Elizabeth2018-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • Would I stay here again, yes. The location and value is great. Couple of things to consider. There isn’t air conditioning so you have to open the windows, even with the windows open on a hot evening/ night it could be warm. TV, but no cable just DVD player. The cleanliness of the floors was an issue. They all tile and just need mopped better.

    Peter2018-05-07T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as described, and the location was unbeatable for the price. We only had to hop in the car for longer trips into the mountains, but otherwise walked everywhere around Downtown Asheville. We were so excited to find a place in town where we could bring our dogs along with us, and this place was perfect for it. The space is no doubt simple, but functions as a great home base if you plan on spending the majority of your time out on the town. If we ever find ourselves back in Asheville (and I'm sure we will), I hope we'll find the same place available to book again.

    Spencer2018-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot downtown

    Nathan2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location, walkable to everywhere, no need to taxi/Uber. Place is very clean, and has everything you’ll need on the trip. The building itself is very secure, and Johnathon was a great host regarding communication, giving us local tips, and followed up to ensure we were taken care of. It’s safe to say we will be back next year!

    Chase2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our stay! Right in downtown, we walked to all the breweries, shops, and restaurants. The place was quaint and cozy. Check-in communication was smooth. It rained when we got in and Jonathan even left us an umbrella - what a guy! If we come back we will surely hope to stay here again. Thanks for everything, Jonathan!

1st floor bedroom with a very comfortable queen bed in a wonderful location, only 1/2 mile walk to downtown Asheville. 1/2 a block from Trader Joe's on Merrimon Ave, Harris Teeter and Greenlife Market (Whole Foods). Private bathroom on same floor. Only 1 step into house, bedroom and bathroom on 1st level. Come enjoy the great food, music and outdoor activities that Asheville is known for. Free street parking beside or in front of front door across the street.
My home is warm and inviting with all you'll need to enjoy yourselves. Large comfy Queen bedded 1st floor bedroom and bath off kitchen for your use. My bedroom and bathroom are upstairs.
There is a great coffee shop on my block and many grocery stores within a block and parking in front of or beside my house. Walking downtown is 1/2 mile past many great shops and restaurants and bars along Lexington Ave. I am also right near the yoga center and the Cellular center for concerts and events is 1/4 mile walk as well. Parking permit required to park. I provide a visitor permit.
  • V's place is very comfortable and so convenient to walk to downtown. We really appreciated her tips on restaurants, etc. and her generosity in sharing her space. We also loved the porch -- a great place to sit with tea in the morning.

    Jill2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Not knowing a single person in Asheville, I was over the moon to stay a V's place. She was the ultimate host as she greeted me from the lovely front porch with a smile. I felt like we were good friends the minute we met. She is one of those people who would go out of her way to make sure you have a memorable and great experience. The house was lovely, clean and felt welcoming. At night, it was quiet and I slept well in the comfortable bed. I think the best part of this experience was getting to know V and her kindness and excitement to share with me the best of Asheville. So grateful to discover this treasure here and spend an unforgettable couple of nights here. Will definitely be back!

  • Lovely visit. A great host.

    Mario2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • V's place is perfect if you're looking to visit Asheville. It is walking distance to all the shops and restaurants and is around the corner from a Whole Foods. V was one of the best hosts I've had while using Airbnb- she took extra care to ensure that there was coffee and pastries for us in the morning and also gave great recommendations for things to do while in town.

    Ester2017-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Comfortable bed! Felt at home

    Mary2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Can't say enough good things about V's place. We got very fond of the short, pleasant walk to downtown! We lucked out by paying for a private room but really having access to the whole place, and used the kitchen and sunny porch a lot. The space was so comfortable, complete, clean and organized-- I can't think of a single thing we needed that wasn't within reach. Check in and out was super easy too. V gives great suggestions about the local flavor-- we loved 5 Walnut Wine Bar!

    Katy2017-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very charming house in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. But just close enough to many shops, restaurants, clubs, bars & markets. V greeted us and was equally charming. Great place to stay!

    Jessica2019-04-21T00:00:00Z
  • Superb stay at Velvet’s in Asheville! This house perfectly located to walk downtown in a few minutes, yet be in a quiet neighborhood. The accommodations clean and comfortable. Velvet was out of town so we didn’t have the chance to meet, but she explained everything before we arrived, had notes around the house to find/use the basics, and she was very responsive to messages. Highly recommend!

This comfy hideaway is a very unique space. I like to consider it an art lovers creative space. Tucked in the middle of downtown Asheville, this unit provides maximum comfort, front and back yards for your fur babies, a short walk to all things downtown AVL, a short drive to all the best hiking, and a community of wonderful souls that are always happy to point you in the right direction. You will love staying here!
The neighborhood is great! It is diverse, and full of Asheville flare! We love where we live, and are certain that you will as well!!!!
  • Great location to walk to anywhere downtown Asheville. Enjoyed our stay as a couple looking to enjoy shopping and night life. John is great host.

    George2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I enjoyed staying at Jonathan's place just steps away from all the great restaurants and brewpubs downtown.

    Scott2018-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jon was so nice and flexible with check in and we appreciated it! The location was exactly as promised: perfectly located near the best downtown spots in Asheville. Parking was convenient and off the street. However, the place smelled very strongly of urine and there was a lot of fur balls. Disappointing for a $40 cleaning fee. There was also not any hand towels or bath mat and and the light in the bathroom has been broken apparently since August or earlier and the temporary construction clamp lamp over the sink that isn’t grounded felt dangerous to have to turn on and off in a wet bathroom. We were also disappointed never to get the information for the WiFi. I know Jon is managing 10 Airbnb’s so maybe he just forgot (but he was SO nice and friendly I don’t want you to think it was wholly bad). Also, there was extremely loud neighbors above that woke us up very late at night as well as early in the morning playing music.

This bright, cheerful, and clean cottage is a little home away from home! Walking distance to Downtown Asheville, local shopping, restaurants and night life and easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway and surrounding attractions. Please note: The City of Asheville is actively enforcing a zoning law that prohibits bookings of less than 30 days for accommodations such as the Cottage. Please contact me if you have questions. Thanks!
Live like a local! Sparrow Cottage is a clean and cozy one bedroom, one bath house only a half mile from UNC-Asheville, Trader Joe's, Greenlife (Whole Foods local market) and Harris Teeter supermarket and an easy one-mile walk to the heart of Downtown with its great restaurants, galleries, shopping and night life. The space is inviting, clean and bright! The front door opens out to a great front porch with a sitting area, perfect for a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine! The yard is grassed and fenced. The open floor plan includes a living room, dining area and fully equipped kitchen. The full bathroom has a tub and shower combo. The bedroom offers a comfy queen-size bed, closet, chifferobe and nightstands. The futon in the living room converts to a second queen bed. The cottage is located on a main street with 35 mph posted speed limit so there is some noise but most guests do not find that a problem. A sound machine is provided. Please read my reviews. Please email if you have any questions or special circumstances; we do our best to accommodate guests at Sparrow Cottage and provide an excellent stay in our beautiful city!
Sparrow Cottage is ideally located for visitors who want easy access to Asheville's quaint and lively downtown as well as all the natural beauty of the surrounding mountains. The center of downtown is filled with restored Art Deco buildings housing a wide variety of restaurants, galleries, night spots, music venues, local breweries and great shopping. Access to I-240 is a few blocks away. Take a walk through Historic Montford or along Reed Creek Greenway, both right across the street from the cottage. Asheville's vibrant River Arts District and historic Biltmore Estate and Village are both a short 5-7 minute drive from the cottage.
  • Tena is fantastic. Very nice. The place is great. We had everything we needed.

    Lauren2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a nice stay! Tena met us at the cottage to give us the keys and show us around. The place is super close to everything we wanted to do in Asheville- 20 minute walk or 5 minute Uber ride. Tena also left us coffee, bananas & cream... what more do you need?

    Rachel2015-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tena greeted us on our arrival and toured the little cabin with us, explaining everything in detail. She then was only a few houses away and was very respectful of our privacy. The location of the house is great…very close to everything interesting downtown AND the coolest groceries are all together only blocks away as is a fantastic walking trail. The house is right off the highway but that did not bother us in any way. Best things about this cottage: Super TV channels ( some Airb&bs have very little coverage of news channels or no tv at all), washer and dryer, comfortable bed and in good weather, a little front porch that could be enjoyed. Was too cold for us to do that. Oh, very easy to warm the house too… We loved it! And enjoyed meeting Tena, the author of a book that is set right there in the neighborhood.

    Peggy2016-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tena saved the day! We drove from Charleston, SC... through the blizzard on Friday and arrived in Asheville at 4pm. The driveway to our hotel was so steep that we could not make it up to even check in (and there was a car already stuck in the driveway). We contacted Tena and she responded within 20 minutes. We booked her little cottage and she met us at the door. We stayed 3 nights. We were able to walk to 5-Points Diner for breakfast, thank goodness! ... All the grocery stores were closed so that was a lifesaver. Tena had a nice gentleman come over and shovel the stairs, driveway and parking pad so we could get out and explore the town. The cottage was clean and very cute. It provided everything that we needed. So nice to have met Tena. She definitely saved our trip!

    Camille2016-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cottage in a convenient location. Tena was available if we need her and even stored by to say hello when we arrived on Christmas Day! Our dog loved the fenced in yard. The bed was super comfortable and the place was clean and well maintained. Great value!

    Andrea2016-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very sweet cottage, it has lots of light and is well-equipped if you wish to make it your "home". Even though we didn't bring our dog, it is a real plus to rent this if you are a dog owner. Even though it is necessary to have a car if you stay here, it is very close to downtown. We also enjoyed taking walks in the neighborhood. The porch was very nice when we had nice weather. It was a very pleasant stay.

    Greg2017-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I enjoyed three nights at the cottage. It was just as neat and clean as the pictures. We probably could have walked to the downtown area pretty easily, but found it more convenient to rent a car, so we could explore all Asheville and the surrounding communities had to offer. Tena was very kind and also provided multiple brochures/guides of local sites that we found very helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

    Andrew2015-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sunny Sparrow Cottage looked exactly like the pictures. It was clean, and had everything we needed. Tena met us at the cottage upon our arrival and showed us around. She even left us a bunch of bananas for our stay, which was a nice touch. :) The only downsides were the futon, which was pretty hard to sleep on (but, hey, everybody's different), the fact that the cottage sits right off a main road, which is just feet away, and the construction going on two houses down, which drove our dogs crazy (but, I know that couldn't be helped). Other than those few things, we enjoyed our stay. The cottage is a great place to stay in Asheville, as it's close and convenient to so many things (i.e., attractions, grocery stores, restaurants, etc.). Thanks again, Tena!

This one bedroom, one bath studio is located in the back of my beautifully restored 1920s bungalow in downtown Asheville.
The studio apartment, located in the back part of my house, is decorated with a mix of modern and vintage furniture. Some have been in my life for a long time, some brand new to the space, and art made by me hangs on the walls. There's a small kitchenette with table and chairs, a bedroom with exposed brick from an old cooks stove and a living area with a futon-style couch. The full bath has a claw foot tub/shower that has a custom copper curtain rod and antique heirloom vanity. This is a perfect retreat for two people.
The beauty of the house not only lies in all of its charm, but also in it's location! There's a unique Whole Foods, called Greenlife, right across the street and Trader Joes is a couple blocks up from that. If you fancy yoga, Asheville Yoga Center is about three blocks away, on Liberty Street. In the other direction, a lovely greenway runs along Reeds Creek, or you can simply stroll around the eclectic neighborhood. Historic Montford, one the oldest neighborhoods (and in my humble opinion, the most beautiful), is a block away and the architecture is truly inspiring. My favorite coffee shop sits at the bottom of the street, called High Five Cafe. Don't let the hip tattooed baristas intimidate you- the coffee is delicious! Most importantly, all of downtown is just a 5-10 minute walk, complete with shopping, museums, restaurants, breweries, bars and music venues.
  • Had a great time staying at Christal’s place. Very cute place in a great location. Would definitely stay there again!

    Cale2019-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Christal's place was in a great location with an ideal setting in the back. There is a back patio or an inside area that is nice when the bugs are bad. I highly recommend her place if you are looking for a private place walkable to downtown.

    Justin (Tyler)2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Christal's place is perfect. Very cozy and creatively decorated. Very easy walk into town, perfect location for exploring Asheville. You can tell Christal really cares about making her guests comfortable. She had coffee, tea, seltzer water and all bathroom amenities available which is so nice! The bed is so comfortable and the house is on a quiet side street. Christal was very nice when I met her and very easy checkin/out. Highly recommend!!

    Alyson2017-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nice place within walking distance to town. Very "hands off" hostess who does not engage directly with guests. Clean and tidy accommodations but very small bedroom with limited luggage space and also very warm without ability to control heat temperature (the reason for 4 stars vs. 5 stars). Overall a good stay.

    Kit2016-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Christal was great and her place is cool and in a good location. Nice and quiet with a great sun deck out back. Just what we needed for a get away.

    Amy2017-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Christal's lovely studio was private, welcoming and warm. It was clean, wonderfully decorated, and the bed is very cozy and comfortable. It's a unique place to stay and helps to immerse you in the Asheville eccentric and relaxed lifestyle. It is so close to downtown, we were thrilled with the location. High Five coffee is at the bottom of the street and their coffee menu is incredible. GreenLife is a short walk away. We did hear her, her roommate and the dogs periodically, but they were not loud nor often and it's fine if you are used to it. Overall, it was a great A+ experience. We will definitely stay here again. She's a wonderful host.

  • The perfect home in really nice and charming neighborhood, and only a 5-10 minutes walk to everything you need downtown. The house was spacious, and the backyard area felt like an oasis. The added bonus was the nursery and play area upstairs with toys for our 2 year old. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend this home to others staying in Asheville. • This home is very big and beautiful! It will totally sleep a family comfortably. The neighborhood is right in downtown Asheville and a really pleasant walking community. Penny was extremely hospitable toward us. Loved it!

  • Perfect home for my weekend visit to Asheville. The home was very clean, and conveniently located to downtown Asheville. Host(s) were extremely responsive and welcoming. Would definitely stay here again.

    Christian2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Our second time there! Chose their home instead of a hotel. They have great communication, and very helpful. I hope we have another opportunity!

    Daniel2017-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful home in perfect location to enjoy Asheville or simply stay in and enjoy the property/each other’s company.

    Bryan2018-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Penny’s home has everything you need and the location and proximity to downtown can’t be beat. Great place to stay!

    Opie2019-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Penny's house was everything it was described to be and more. It's just a short walk from downtown making it easily accessible, and the house/amenities are amazing. Staying there was certainly one of the highlights from my first trip to Asheville.

  • My stay at Kiley's Guest Nest was absolutely ideal. I was coming into town for a quick trip and she made everything so easy and comfortable. It was last minute and her responsiveness was such a help - with clear directions and check-in info. The room was welcoming and the whole house was big enough that I felt like I had my own space. Kiley's kids are SO sweet and really chill. I felt like I could do my thing and come and go as I needed to. There are two bathrooms too, which made it feel like I was never imposing while sharing their space. I really felt at home, which is so nice when I'm traveling! Kiley also knows EVERYTHING about Asheville, I wish I had had more time to explore some of the great spots she recommended. I will absolutely go back and would definitely stay here again!

    Hannah2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kileys place was a perfect pad for our one night trip in Asheville. Awesome location and a super comfy bed!

    Henry2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint and cozy place, great location! The kids' rooms are next to the room so being quiet is a must.

    William2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Kiley is a fantastic hostess & always a pleasure to communicate with. She responds quickly & addresses questions or concerns directly. This is a room in her home, so the common spaces are shared, but there are latches on the door & it felt very private. As far as location goes, it could hardly be more convenient, as only a 5 minute walk into the very center of Asheville. Definitely recommend this strongly!

    Noah2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Kiley’s place was very cute and cozy and her welcoming, kind communication made us feel right at home. The house is in a quiet, green neighborhood, but a very quick walk to all of the downtown spots. The room is bright, clean and spacious. Would definitely return if we happen to find ourselves back in Asheville!

    Charlotte2019-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, comfy room in a perfect location! Kiley was so helpful - we needed to check in a little early and she made sure it was possible. Communication was excellent! Would highly recommend this place, we had an absolutely wonderful time in Asheville!

    Brittney2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • This place was so great and close to town. It was super convenient and comfy after a day of brewery hopping! Not to mention that Kylie was a great host and let us check in early after a night of camping before!

    Brianna2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kiley's place is really beautiful and in the middle of this great neighborhood, very close to downtown. Kiley was out for the weekend, thus we had the place for us. Everything was organized for our arrival and Kiley replied quickly to questions. Would definitely stay there next time I'm to Asheville!!

  • We absolutely loved our stay at Suite Magnolia! The special touches, local beer, beautiful decor and backyard setting made our whole experience in Asheville so wonderful!!

    Shawni2018-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space. I wanted to stay there forever! (Available are three methods of making coffee! . . . and also some ways to make tea.)

    Gretchen2019-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Terrific location and beautiful space. Would highly recommend it.

  • Mollys place is amazing and clean with a cool vibe, very close to everything.

    Harry2017-04-06T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Anna & Molly's place was delightful! The space was adorable, clean, and well-appointed. I loved the location - Montford is full of beautiful, historic homes and Suite Magnolia is located a walkable distance to downtown. The hosts were very communicative and made sure my stay was comfortable. I would be happy to make this airbnb my home on subsequent trips to Asheville!

    Vanessa2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Suite Magnolia exceeded our expectations. All of the little details from local beverages stocked in the fridge, along with coffee and a well equipped kitchen made our stay a pleasurable experience. The space is modern and clean but Anna and Molly took the time to preserve some of the carriage house's unique charm. The bathroom is amazing and the bed was comfortable. We liked their hardwood floors so much that Anna and Molly graciously provided us with a sample to take home. The communication was great and when we return to Asheville we will definitely be staying there in the future. Asheville is great city and Suite Magnolia is a great place to stay.

For budget travelers who want to be downtown! Convenient location. No frills, not a fancy B&B. A place with history, character and real people. Clean, comfortable historic 100+year-old rooming house with front porch, balcony, shared bathrooms. One of several short term rental rooms, this single, second floor room has an air conditioner in the window in summer, mini refrigerator, sink, desk, sitting chair. Near front of building, across from a music venue. Bathrooms are shared with other guests.
This small room is perfect for the solo traveler, with a twin bed, sitting chair, writing desk, refrigerator and shelves. A large window lets in natural light (we have solar panels that do obscure the view, but heat our water). At the Gray Rock Inn, downtown Asheville is right outside your door, and our reasonable rates mean your money can be spent on enjoying the city. Conveniently located on Biltmore Ave. and an easy walk to breweries, music venues, art galleries, boutiques and restaurants. The Gray Rock Inn is a great value, a "no frills" but clean and comfy place to explore the city from. Stay downtown for less - walk the city's streets and enjoy! Asheville is right outside at this historic inn where people of all walks of life feel at home. A place with charm, character and friendly residents and guests alike. Not a fancy B&B or chain hotel. Perfect for those who want to spend their time exploring downtown Asheville and not driving. Walk around downtown and enjoy its bustling and vibrant scene. Or, you can just sit on our front porch or balcony and relax. After taking it all in you can return to a private and secure setting. An historic inn with a background as interesting as Asheville. The Gray Rock Inn is a classic 100+year-old building, housing both short- and long-term residents in an International style, with shared bathrooms. In this space you’ll encounter fellow travelers and local residents alike. What you’ll experience is a small community that shares a love for Asheville. Each room is different, reflecting the unique history and character of The Gray Rock Inn. Standard furnishings in every room include a refrigerator and sink with clean towels and linens. Wifi is included but you won’t find a television in your room. We look forward to hosting you at The Gray Rock Inn, and making your Asheville experience a memorable one. And be sure to kiss the Bunkum Stone while you’re here. We are in strict compliance with fire and safety codes and have carbon monoxide detectors where they are required. Amenities: We provide Wifi, telephone, computer, coin laundry. There is a coffee maker on the second floor bookshelf. Relax on our balcony or porch. Slow down, unwind and enjoy the fresh mountain air and sunshine on our balcony. Or watch the parade of people from our front porch. Our large second floor balcony has commanding views of Biltmore Ave. and the mountains. Our covered front porch faces Biltmore Ave. with its bustling activity. Comfortable and clean bathrooms: Even though our bathrooms are shared, you might never notice. With two on each floor, locking doors and daily cleaning, you’ll be rest assured of privacy and cleanliness. And there’s rarely a wait. Water is solar heated.
The neighborhood is lively and diverse. Walk to world class restaurants, music, and craft breweries. Next door is a community food coop that is open to the public. Across the street are a popular, sometimes quite loud music venue, The Orange Peel, and Wicked Weed Brewery. Read about the Bunkum Stone (a landmark) by the front entry.
  • If you want a place to sleep in a perfect location while visiting Asheville, this is the spot. The rooms are simple and they do a good job keeping the communal restrooms and other spaces clean and comfortable. This is exactly what I was looking for during my trip and I could walk to so many great places.

  • Lovely old house with a great set up for Airbnb. Perfect location, lovely people, great local advice. Clean place and everything was easy. Stay here!

    Glen2015-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Right across from the Orange Peel concert venue. If you're seeing a show this is the perfect place to stay. I didn't realize when I booked it, but The Flaming Lips were playing right across at this venue. Needless to say I got a ticket and it was an amazing night. What a great location!

  • Staying at the Grey Rock Inn was such a pleasurable experience. The whole place was well maintained and clean. Everyone who I encountered was so kind and helpful, staff members and residents alike. The single room is sweet and cozy and perfect for one person. The location is so convenient! I will definitely stay here again!

    Nicole2015-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Had an incredible stay in Asheville. Kathleen was very helpful and accommodating as I arrived later than I expected. 100 Biltmore is literally downtown, I parked and walked most everywhere: restaurants, Indy theatre, shopping etc! The room was cozy and warm (it snowed during my stay). The single bed was very comfortable. There was a desk and chair and sink and fridge in the room along with fresh towels. No TV but wifi worked great. The shared bathroom was super clean and quite large. There were other guests but I rarely saw them. I felt perfectly safe as a single woman traveling. In fact, I extended my stay one more night! Parking was easy- there is a lot next to the building, download the Passport Parking App and pay $5! I would absolutely stay here again!

    Terri2017-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • John was a great host, he met me at check-in and was very good at letting me know where everything was(restaurants , breweries), the room was just as described clean and cozy. The location is perfect if you want to expierence downtown everything is in walking distance highly recommended!!

    Anthony2016-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Centrally located and good value for money make for a great combination! Budget-conscientious travelers should check it out.

    Shannon2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve stayed here twice and it’s a really great little room with helpful details like a few dishes, cutting board, and silverware. There’s a fridge, a desk plus a comfy chair I used for reading. It’s a clever layout for this little room. There’s also a microwave and coffee maker right outside the room. You can walk to so many things, you can go to a different restaurant for every meal. There’s even a movie theater a couple of blocks away. They’ve really put a lot of thought into making it comfortable for guests.
