You’ll love my place because it's a very simple and quiet. The neighborhood is a peaceful place and the house is very peaceful as well. If you are looking for a relaxing experience that is walking distance from restaurants and cafes this is a great spot for you. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. The house is 8 blocks from the university and 1 mile from the hub of West Bank;
It is just me (and the cat) living here so it is a very quiet house. I work during the days teaching ESL and am home in the evenings. The place is very spacey and simple. Note: There is Wifi internet at the house.
I live right across the street from a very nice park that is on the Mississippi River.
  • I enjoyed my three week stay. Janet was a wonderful and friendly host, and the space was comfortable and and within easy bus range of Minneapolis. Would highly recommend!

  • Kind host and will definitely book again next time.

  • It is a great deal for staying at a quiet place close to the University of Minnesota and also not far from Downtown. Very friendly neighborhood with most things just a few blocks away.

  • The room is large, well-furnished and luminous - and the blankets kept me nice and warm in the cold Minneapolis weather. The room is separated from the rest of the house by two flights of stairs so you have a lot of privacy. Janet was very helpful and communication was very easy. The house is particularly well located if you're looking to go to the University of Minnesota, which is walking distance (the house is very close to the west bank campus). Grocery store and laundromat are also nearby, which is convenient if you are staying several days as I did.

    Tamara2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • The host canceled this reservation 4 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.

  • Janet and her cat Schwinn were wonderful hosts during my time in Minneapolis. The room is very comfortable and private and about a 13 minute walk to the west end of campus. Highly recommended!

  • The location of the house is excellent. I strongly recommend this Airbnb! I have stay in other 15 Airbnb’s in the past and by far this was the best! I love the house and the company!

  • Janet is a thoughtful, kind and generous host! A beautiful home in a vibrant neighborhood close to a beautiful park, several local coffee shops and restaurants. I had a great stay-very comfortable and private room and access to one of the best porches I have ever been on!

Located right in Dinkytown close to Downtown and the U of M. Great, safe and vibrant area with lots of places to visit by walking distance! Super comfy, sunny and clean room. WITH a huge comfy double bed, FREE WI FI + Cable TV. Plenty of space. Clean bathroom and kitchen - you will be at ease here. The beautiful Stone Arch Bridge is a 10 minute walk away. you can get a Nice Ride bike and go on a very scenic bike ride with many bike paths in the area. NOTE: One of the reviews below says there is not a lock on the bathroom door, this is inaccurate there is definitely a working lock on the door, this review is not true.
Safe, urban and vibrant neighborhood in the heart of the city. Great for foodies, plenty of amazing places to eat and supermarkets close by. and downtown and the lightrail (to get to the airport and Mall of America) is less than a 10 min bus ride away.

  • Good place for price. Location is great! Expect a hostel type experience.

  • Sunit was very accommodating and flexible with both my check-in and check-out, which made for a very smooth and pleasant trip. He was friendly yet respectful of privacy. Overall a great host and the bed was super comfy!

  • Sunit is greatly helpful. Bad snow day when I got in Minneapolis. Thanks for the easy check-in, I could have warm shower and take a rest fast. No snow sweeper I had, Sunit helped scraped snow and ice the next morning. Also took good suggestions from him for local sightseeing. A joyful stay!

    Yiran2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location. Clean and lovely room. Sunit was very nice. Highly recommended.

    Philip2018-04-23T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first airbnb experience so I don't have anything to compare it with. Sunit was very welcoming. He provided great directions from the light rail and bus to his house. His townhouse is located near the university and is intermixed with student housing. Close walking distance to dinning. Wifi was available at his place. My allergies were going wild while i was there so for those of you like me, you may want to bring your Zyrtec.

    Trent2014-12-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great price for the location! Walking distance to most of the local flavor and happenings of dinkytown. House was quiet after 10pm :)

We invite you to stay in our home! We have a cozy guest bedroom available in our quiet, two-story home built in the 1920s. Located in the Southeast Como neighborhood, our home is conveniently situated near the University of Minnesota, TCF Stadium, and Dinkytown - about a 15 to 30-minute walk to any of these locations. Guests love our home because of how close it is to the University of Minnesota. A great location for visiting students, alumni, parents, and those attending conferences on campus.
*Looking for travel credit? Sign up here and you'll get $40 towards your 1st stay: www.airbnb.com/c/kha107 --- Hi there! We are Kevin and Caitlin and we are two young professionals living in our two-story, single family home with our 17-pound dog Charlotte. Our house is an older home that was built in the 1920s and contains the original woodwork and built-in cabinets. We live in the Southeast Como neighborhood of Minneapolis, a lively student neighborhood located just north of the University of Minnesota. We enjoy meeting new people and decided to rent out the spare guest bedroom in our house. Our house is conveniently located close to the main University of Minnesota campus and is also a short Uber or Lyft ride to Downtown and Northeast Minneapolis. Our guest room features an Alexander Signature Series Mattress from Nest Bedding™. Guests often say that it's one of the best mattresses they've ever slept on! The guest room also comes with a small desk, nightstand, table lamp, dresser, and closet. The door to the guest room has a latch that locks from the inside for travelers that might want additional privacy. If you're interested in staying with us, please tell us a little bit about yourself and what brings you into town. We want to make sure you have a great stay in our home! ***For summertime guests - please note that we do not have air conditioning in our home. The temperatures in Minneapolis during the summer are usually in the mid-80s and in the 70's during the evening, so A/C usually isn't necessary (one of the perks of living in Minnesota), but if you're especially sensitive to heat, you might want to consider a different place.***
The Southeast Como neighborhood is a quiet neighborhood conveniently located north of the University of Minnesota campus and a short bus ride, Uber/Lyft ride, or bike ride to Downtown and Northeast Minneapolis. The neighborhood is a mix of college students, young families, and older folks that have lived in the neighborhood for years. There are a number of dining options located just a block away from our house. - The Blue Door Pub is considered one of the best burgers in the Twin Cities and the restaurant has great local beers on tap. We come here pretty often. The wings are really good too. - Ramen Kazama is a new Ramen spot that opened up right around the corner from our house. It's one of the most highly rated Ramen spots in Minneapolis and is highly recommended! - Black Coffee and Waffle Bar serves top notch waffles and is great for getting a cup of coffee in the morning. It's also a good study spot if you need to get work done. - Football Pizza serves some of our favorite pizza in the Twin Cities. Really convenient if you're looking for some good food you can take to go. - The Dinkytown neighborhood is a short 10-minute walk away and has great bar and restaurant options that cater primarily to the college crowd. We especially like eating at Shuang Cheng, Pagoda, and Loring Pasta Bar. - The University of Minnesota campus is also about a 15 to 30 minute walk away depending on where on campus you are looking to go. Our location is great for visiting students, alumni, parents, or people traveling for conferences on campus.
  • Kevin and Caitlin were very friendly, hospitable hosts. They left a very nice guide for local restaurants and attractions, which was very useful and thorough. Their house was very clean and just a very cool space. Great hosts!

  • Caitlin and Kevin provided a warm welcome and Made me feel at home. It was a great start into my trip. I enjoyed the area being close to the University.

  • A woodsy retreat in a relaxed neighborhood. Enjoy this naturally cooled room at the top of the stairs to read and write! Casual bars and cherry trees in walking distance.

  • Kevin and Caitlyn were wonderful hosts - so friendly and pleasant. They used a downstairs bathroom so I was the only one using the bathroom next to the bedroom so it felt like an ensuite. Impeccably clean bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Very homey and felt very welcomed and free to use the house. Their dog is soooo sweet. Loved my stay!

    Nadine2017-02-12T00:00:00Z

    Kaila2019-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed just for a night but I'm so thankful it was hassle-free stay in a warm, cozy house, especially given the blizzarding weather outside. Kevin is a wonderful host with super fast response times, great communication, and helpful tips about the area. Room and bathroom were clean and amenities were great. Highly recommend!

  • Thanks, Cameron for the stay! The location was perfect. There were some issues due to some unfinished work in the bathroom, but Cameron offered a rebate on the stay pro-actively. We really appreciated that.

    Jon2016-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Good place for living. It's on a quiet and convienient location. The family members are friendly, too. I went there for an exchange program in the University of Minnesota and stayed here for four months. The only thing is that the house is not so clean. But in all that's worth it.

  • Cameron was an amazing host, and very flexible. I will recommend his beautiful place to all my friends.

  • Cameron was nice and accommodating when I arrived late. He emerged from upstairs and showed me around. I was pleased to be able to use the kitchen during my stay.

  • Cameron was really quick and great with communication. The house was lovely with a nice private room. He showed us around and made us feel very comfortable on our first experience with Airbnb. Thanks so much for letting us stay in such a hip and cute little neighborhood! Wish we could have spent more time there!

    Kris2015-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • The room was cozy (with a super soft blanket!) Not what you’d call sleek or fancy, but it had great location near the University and a price that’s hard to beat!

    Konrad2018-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • Cameron was very flexible with check-in and check-out, which was great. The room was warm and the kitchen was big and Cameron and his family were very welcoming and gave me lots of suggestions on where to go! The house is right next to the river, perfect for running and taking long walks. Right there in the neighborhood are plenty of restaurants, a nice grocery store, and bars with live music. I had a great time!

This is a real practically brand new bed (no longer an air mattress as a few old reviews from over a year ago mention). A window unit air conditioner is in the room. It's a cozy room on the main floor of my place. As you can see, I've got dozens of positive reviews over the years. My place is close to parks, restaurants, and coffee shops. You’ll love the place because of comfy bed, the coziness, and the location. It's good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (small pet fee).
Most guests love that there's a great bar/restaurant down the road and more awesome restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and convenient stores about 6 blocks away. Not to mention, Dinkytown is within a 15 minute walk.

  • Frendly owner with good house , its old house but good

    Mohammad2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Nice location, easy to get to. But it wasn’t clean. We didn’t feel comfortable using the shower as there appeared to be mold. As I put it, it would be fine if it was my buddy who offered me a free night to stay, but given that we paid and that’s part of airbnb I expected cleaner. I also am not sure I would have felt safe staying there if I was by myself. We didn’t have any issues for the record but the doors didn’t lock well.

    Kelly2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tidy and clean room with a comfortable bed, cozy house in a quietish neighborhood, pretty close to transit that will get you to the University of Minnesota or downtown Minneapolis. Lou is friendly and considerate! Would definitely stay again.

A unique and fun space with an open floorplan, vaulted ceilings, lofted bedroom, library, and cozy ☀️ porch! Enjoy fast internet, TOP ☕ coffee, and free Netflix while staying at the Loft. Our central location gives EASY access to the entire city: US Bank Stadium: 1.5 miles University of Minnesota: 0.5 - 1.5 miles Minneapolis Convention Center: 2.5 miles Check out our ☕☕☕☕☕ reviews: https://www.airbnb.com/users/21803431/listings?user_id=21803431&s=50 Make the Lilac Loft your home base in MPLS!
We strive to keep our space comfortable and clean. Art collected from local and world artists, and a simple mixture of modern and antique furnishings create an eclectic, personal feel. Having traveled a lot ourselves, we know how important home base is. With this in mind, we've worked hard to make your trip to MPLS as comfortable as possible. From the furnishing and art to the coffee, Nest thermostat, Netflix on us, and blazing fast internet, we've been refining the details so that your stay with us is fun, easy and effortless. Parties: We do not allow parties or "get togethers" in our spaces. Plus, it never ends well. We always find out, the party gets broken up and the night is just wasted for everyone :( Pricing: We've begun using a tiered pricing system based on the number of guests. This allows us to offer a lower price and make ourselves more available to individual guests while still covering the costs of maintaining our high standards for multiple guests. It all works automatically through Airbnb, just enter the number of people in your group and the price will reflect it accordingly! Free coffee, local brews: I work for a coffee importer and so am able to select and personally roast coffees from all over the world. This coffee is literally in the top percent of coffee on the planet and the Loft is set up with all the equipment that you'll need to get the most from it and enjoy every drop! Additionally, we have a huge craft brew scene here in the Twin Cities and we stock the fridge with a few selections from the Twincy grand-daddy of them all- Summit Brewing! The (actual) Loft: Please be aware that the bedroom is lofted, and access is via a vertical ladder (see photos). If you prefer not to climb a ladder to bed, then we would be happy to set up the couch bed for you in the front room. Just let us know! Or check out our other listings, which each have standard bedrooms (no ladders, just doors!)
The West Bank is a small neighborhood along a quiet park right in the heart of MPLS- at the junction of the fantastic, creative and diverse Seward and Cedar-Riverside neighborhoods. Access to the entire city is easy: Right across the river from the University. Less than 2 miles to US Bank Stadium and Downtown MPLS. 3 miles to the Target Center and Target Field. 4 miles to the Art Institute and the Walker. 5 miles to the Lakes and only a couple minutes walk to the River!
  • The place was very chic. Many personal touches, most notable was the coffee. They provided some special beans along with thoughtful instructions on how to brew. Very quaint, clean, and modern

    Jeff2019-03-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far the cutest place I have ever seen! The amenities were thoughtful and the location was perfect for exploring and it's just a short drive to the mall. The bed was super comfy and the whole place had a comfy vide. And we couldn't have asked for better hosts! They responded fast were super helpful I deffinetly stay there again in a hear beat!

    Sadie2018-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Ian and Grace were model hosts! Kind, punctual in their responses, and spot on with their recommendations. The loft is a great location for anyone looking to be within easy driving or Lyft distance of plenty of great things on offer in Minneapolis. Worth every penny!

    Elizabeth2018-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable space. My second time staying and I’d definitely stay again.

    Paul2018-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The space is as described. The coffee and tea samples were great. There is plenty of space and everything you need for a comfortable stay is provided (snacks, toiletries, blankets, extensive tips on what to do in the area). Communication was prompt and helpful.

    Mallory2018-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This house looks just like the pictures! Very clean and thoughtful amenities. Grace even provided decaf coffee at our request. Great communication before and during the trip except for one snafu. The wrong door code was provided for check-in and we couldn’t reach them for a bit but we took them up on one of their recommendations and headed to a nearby brewery so all was good and easily fixed. When a storm was coming in, Grace reached out to provide us with helpful info and recs in case we got snowed in. I would highly recommend this place; probably the best Air BnB I’ve stayed in yet.

    Cassie2018-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Ian & Grace's place is the best Airbnb that I ever stayed in. It is a very cosy, at the same time very spacious place. I loved many special touches that Ian and Grace thought of and provide to their guest: high quality coffees and teas, local drinks in the fridge, recommendations book, extra bedding, bluetooth speakers, among a few others. I really liked the ease and clarity of communication and ease of checking in and out. Location is wonderful - Seward is a great neighborhood, in a walking distance to the University campus and Downtown (if you like walking). Minneapolis is a fantastic city. I hope to be back again soon!

Close to The University of Minnesota, the Mississippi River and Downtown. This apartment easily converts to a 2 bedroom when the sofa folds out into a full sized bed and the doors to the living room close to make another private pace. The apartment will be stocked with all the essentials you will need, features high speed internet and cable television. This versatile place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers or families (with kids).
  • Kara’s place is in a great location and was very clean. However, she lacks with communicating to her guests. If you’re looking for late check out, beware! She won’t respond until it’s time for you to leave. But she will allow early check in for others. Very disappointed.

    Taylor2019-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great location overall and quick commute to events! The building itself was very loud in the morning, as the unit is by the stairwell we heard lots of pets and people in the a.m. so be just be aware if you are a light sleeper! Check in was very easy and convenient, and parking spot was easy to find!

    Katie2018-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was clean and spacious, accurate to the online description. It comes with a parking spot, which is essential in this location, as well as all other standard amenities. My father was glad that the apartment was surprisingly peaceful considering the bustling location, across the pedestrian bridge from Dinky town. This is perfect for visiting parents/friends of university students, or folks interested in exploring Minneapolis, considering the close proximity to St. Anthony Main, north east, and downtown. Kara responded quickly and helped us through any problems, even while abroad on vacation! She was highly accommodating and very kind. I hope future guests enjoy Minneapolis!

    Lydia2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very good experience in Minneapolis. Sometimes the WiFi didn’t work when it is rainy. But Kara is very nice to solve this problem.

  • Kara’s spot was in a great area! The value was worth it. So close to many attractions, easy to get around, and safe neighborhood. The bike rental was only a few blocks away. An easy way to explore the city. Kara was easy to communicate with, if needed and the directions were very clear!

Clean, large sunny and nice bedroom walking distance from the U of M/Dinkytown 5 min by bus to downtown. Safe neighborhood with good restaurants, bars, and coffee shops close. 10 min walk to Saint Anthony Falls/Mississippi River. This is a HUGE room and has a VERY COMFY bed for you to get a brilliant nights rest to see this beautiful area.
Safe, urban and vibrant neighborhood in the heart of the city. Great for foodies, plenty of amazing places to eat and supermarkets close by. and downtown and the lightrail (to get to the airport and Mall of America) is less than a 10 min bus ride away.
  • It was awesome staying at Sunit’s place. Quick responses when needed help or direction. Very quiet neighborhood. Would recommend to stay as his place. An awesome host!

    Sefa2017-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for the price! Thanks Sunit!

    Junghyun2017-04-14T00:00:00Z
  • We would recommend it. The price is low, especially compared to similar accomodations, and the location is great, being so close to the campus and the Stone Arch Bidge. It had some issues (bathroom was not completely clean, provided towels were damp, a kitchen sink was congested), but nothing too serious. We did not meet Sunit in person during our stay but he was very nice and he made it easy for us. Communication was good. We had a good time there.

    Matthias2016-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Location was great, right by 35. Parking was easy. The room wasn’t very inviting, it wasn’t vacuumed with a used bandaid on the floor :/ the rest of the house was fine. Price was ok for a quick crash pad but wouldn’t stay long term, ended up leaving a day early because I felt a bit uncomfortable.

    Saragh2018-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was great experience!! I really liked the Sunit's place as I felt very comfortable and safe. If I go there again I would certainly stay the same place. I highly recommend it.

  • Unfortunately, I don't recommend this place to anyone. It was not very clean. The living room was not comfortable. This was my first experience with Airbnb, so I guess maybe you get what you pay for? We were disappointed with this apartment.

  • This place was shabby with an extremely dirty bathroom. Not worth the money.

  • Tammy’s place was a nice cozy stay! It’s right in the middle of the university living area so there’s plenty of stuff to do in a walking distance. Really nice neighborhood as well as private parking spot. Very clean apartment!

  • Right near the city. The place was clean and had tons of snacks there waiting for us. Plenty of furniture for comfort and bathroom was clean and stocked. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

A clean, comfortable and cozy home in the ❤️ of MPLS. Enjoy the fast internet, local brews, TOP coffee ☕ and free Netflix at your home away from home in MPLS. Our central location gives EASY access to the entire city: 1.5 miles from US Bank Stadium 0.5 - 1.5 miles to the University of Minnesota 2.5 miles to the Minneapolis Convention Center Check out our ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ reviews: https://www.airbnb.com/users/21803431/listings?user_id=21803431&s=50 Make the Lilac ❤️ your home base in MPLS!
From the furnishing and art to the coffee, fast and cozy heat in the winter and cool central air in the summer, Netflix on us, and blazing fast internet, we've been refining the details so that your stay with us is fun, easy and effortless. Free coffee, local brews: I work for a coffee importer and so am able to select and personally roast coffees from all over the world for your stay. This coffee is literally in the top percent of coffee on the planet and we've equipped the Lilac Heart with the equipment that you'll need to get the most out of it! We also have a huge craft brew scene here in the Twin Cities and we stock the fridge with a few brews from the Twincy grand-daddy of them all- Summit Brewing.
  • Lilac Heart is a comfortable space located on a quiet street not far from some local amenities and an easy uber ride to anything you may want to get to. Our experience with response time was immediate and I got the sense that if we had had any issues, they would have been promptly addressed! However, we had NO issues. We would definitely considering staying here again if back in the area!

    Martha2018-03-26T00:00:00Z

  • Perfect pad! Cool, modern aesthetic; great personal touches to make it feel more like home, exemplary hosts.... This met all my needs. I can't say enough things about how nice Ian and Grace were as well. I will definitely be staying here again in the future!

    Sydne2019-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • What a beautiful home! Nice quiet neighborhood with parking so that was a plus. Spacious rooms and nice water pressure in the shower and SO CLEAN- basically the only thing that matters to me in an Airbnb! Would definitely stay here again if we were ever in the area :)

    Dominique2017-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Due to weather and last minute cancellations, a friend and I had to rearrange our trip very last minute. Ian and Grace not only talked through the situation on the phone, they worked to accommodate our plans in a way that worked best for us. While we did not get to meet in person, I can already say with certainty that Ian and Grace are hosts that truly care about their guests. I look forward to staying at their place in the future!

This apartment has one queen bed and one twin bedroom to sleep 3 people. The apartment has free off street parking, high speed internet, and cable television!
  • Beautful place. I would definitely go back.

    Blake2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kara was an outstanding hostess! She was very responsive to a request we had. She puts the Breakfast in B&B! There were granola bars, instant oatmeal, coffee, creamer, and the makings for pancakes - complete with syrup and margarine!! Plus other food/snack options. Same with the bathroom: almost anything you could need was supplied. Very thoughtful. The bed was SO comfortable. I actually pulled back the sheet to find out what kind of mattress it was! When we were there, the daily, outside temps were above 90º. The wall unit, AC kept up just fine. Kara was an outstanding communicator. When we arrived, I was so glad for her detailed notes on parking and accessing the apartment. The only thing that might be an issue for some is that this apartment is a 3rd floor walkup, in an old building, at the end of a very, long hall. But, being on the top floor means no noise from upstairs neighbors, right?

    Ruth2018-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is in a large old brick apartment building in a charming residential area near campus. We could walk to the Stone Arch bridge in 5 minutes! The apartment was perfect for two people, complete with two workstations, and had very nice wooden floors and modern appliances. We didn't hear a peep from the neighbors, even during the weekend. Our host was amazingly responsive to our inquiries and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed! There were snacks!! It was 20 degrees during our stay but the apartment was toasty warm. The place is only used as an Airbnb, which we could tell because there was only 1 pot and pan--but there was oil and S+P. All in all, a great stay. Just make sure to use the back door if you don't want to fiddle with the key for ages (old building quirks).

    Sarah2017-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is excellent, exactly as it is described in the ad.

  • Awesome location. About 10 minutes walk to UM campus and 5-minute drive or a short walk to the downtown area. The building is old but the apartment has a modern touch and pretty clean. Kara is very quick to reply our questions. Also the apartment has almost everything needed for a comfortable stay.

    Braiden2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a college apartment on the 3rd floor of a very unkept building inside and out. The bathroom is in very much need of caulk and cleaning to address the mildew issues around the entire tub and sink. You get a lot of space to sleep many people. It was clear that the apartment is getting very cursory cleaning prior to a new guest. Clean up the bathroom and the value of this property would be worth the stay. With the bathroom in the current state you need to wear flip flops and not touch the walls. I have stayed at state park campgrounds with less issues in their public bathroom.

    Michelle2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Easy check in and out. Well maintained.

    Darris2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place worked great for our group on a quick one night stay. Very affordable compared to other options, with a nice clean space and plentiful sleeping arrangements. Tammy was very communicative for check in process and also helped when we realized my friend had left important medicine in her fridge. Thank you.

    Kevin2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • This location is near the UM campus within easy driving distance of most attractions. the place is clean and has a nice kitchen area and regular size bathroom. There is only one air conditioner in the living room so on hot days you have to lower the temperature to cool of the bedrooms. This is college housing so stairs and hallway reflect that. It is a good value if you looking to do daily activities in many different areas of the Twin Cities.

    Roland2019-07-06T00:00:00Z

New modern Nordic guesthouse (completed in July 2017) in diverse urban neighborhood near University of Minnesota, Mississippi River and downtown Minneapolis. Coffee maker, electric tea kettle, large toaster oven, gas cooktop, convection oven, dishwasher, refrigerator with filtered water and some food essentials as well as many pantry foods for cooking. Photographed from start to finish by Ryan Lodermeier - visit his (EMAIL HIDDEN) - he is a great friend and neighbor.
Seward is a diverse urban neighborhood, the guesthouse is about 2 blocks from the Mississippi River, near many parks and I have lived here for over 30 years. The neighborhood is situated in an area with mostly single family homes or duplexes and we all try to be friendly with each other yet respectful of our individual privacy. Several restaurants, including Birchwood Cafe and Chef Shack Ranch, coffeeshops, Seward Food Co-op, breweries and distilleries are near by, many just a few short blocks away. Great hiking and walking trails along the Mississippi River and the Midtown Greenway Bike Trail is a short distance away.
  • Beautiful simplicity and great amenities -- wonderful stocked kitchen. Excellent location, near campus yet quiet neighborhood. Stunning flower, herb and vegetable garden. Mette is a delightful host. We have stayed a couple times and look forward to our next stay.

  • Exceeded expectations! If ever I return to Minneapolis, I will stay here.

    Pookie2018-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • This home was unbelievable. It was clean, homey, comfortable, and exactly my style. Mette was the best host I’ve ever had and her garden was so beautiful. I loved sitting outside in the spring sunshine and admiring the beautiful fruits and veggies growing. The neighborhood is extremely sweet and calming and was very accepting (black lives matters posters outside homes and “I <3 my Muslim neighbor” posters as well.) That made me very happy. My favorite Airbnb experience thus far.

    Ben2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Above and beyond, amazing, fantastic, marvelous, incredible [add any superlative positive connotation you can think of!] This was by far the best Airbnb we ever stayed at. Mette is a wonderful host, her house is beautifully designed and we truly felt at home (who am I kidding, it was much better than home!)

    Stefano2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Very clean. Also, Mette provide lots of great food in the refrigerator.

    Peggy2018-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • This place is in a super quiet neighborhood across the street from the university. It was about two blocks from a bridge that takes you to a righteous river run downtown. Every nice touch that could be was designed into this place. It was fascinating to learn about the building process from Mette. The garden outside the window was serene. This is a cook's paradise. Totally fully equipped kitchen. I even baked some bread in the clay pots. I'll have to come stay again until I build one myself. Very well thought out. Thanks.

    Kevin2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far one of the best places I've stayed as far as being able to have a private space where you can cook as if you were on HGTV, sleep like baby in a loft with the soothing sound of the insects at night, and relax with a plethora of flora outside but seemingly right in your kitchen. Superb setup, Mette!

Como neighborhood has easy access to city centers in both Minneapolis and St. Paul, as well as to the University of Minnesota. Parks, bicycle trails, shopping, and restaurants are close by. The cottage is a cozy and bright little hideaway; newly renovated. We welcome all kinds of travelers.
Our little (700+ square ft) urban cottage is a unique and charming private dwelling. The new kitchen has all the necessities. The bedrooms each have a skylight and the beds are new. The dining/living area is spacious and the futon is particularly comfortable. The south facing front porch is great for relaxing and watching the world go by, and yet feels quite private. The sewing machine and quilt frame are in the back of the first floor living area and are in 'storage mode' when guests are in the house.
The Como/University neighborhood is diverse, lively and cosmopolitan. We are in close proximity to the local bar & grill as well as an entire spectrum of ethnic and specialty restaurants and coffee shops. We love being close to the University of Minnesota; the Garden Cottage is positioned between the Minneapolis and the St. Paul Campus. Minneapolis is particularly bicycle-friendly and we are close to an access point to the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway: a parkway that circles the city and brings you to the Lakes, the Mississippi and Minnehaha Falls. We are just a couple blocks from a City Bikes rental station. This is a great spot to stay and attend the Minnesota State Fair!
  • Great, nifty cottage that I enjoyed. Barb responded quickly and made the stay wonderful!

  • Cute and cozy little place. We loved it for our little group. Perfect location.

  • What a perfect little cozy, private and peaceful retreat! The cottage was clean, with sweet-smelling, fresh, fluffy sheets and towels. Plenty of hot water in the shower. The back-alley parking was a plus. Easy and convenient location. And a fantastic host! Barbara was kind and accommodating, with amazing communication throughout. Thank you!

  • We enjoyed our stay. Convenient location. Definitely train noise but it did not bother us.

    Ken2019-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay, especially the bread, butter, homemade jam, coffee, half and half and satsumas that Barbara provided. The location was perfect for us. And, even though you can hear the train noise, we turned on the fan and the white noise drowned it out. The house was warm and cozy.

  • Amazing cottage and great hospitality!!

    Tara2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just as sweet as it looks. Stayed here for a girls weekend and it was so great; we were able to walk to dinner and drinks. The quilts are such cute and comfortable touches. We will be staying here again when we come to Minneapolis.

    Sadie2019-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • Barbara was helpful and responsive to our calls and texts. The nice touches of breakfast snacks, coffee and homemade jam made our visit comfortable and homey.

  • Loved the detail and cleanliness of this place! Great response time by the owner and really close to a lot of cool breweries and restaurants! Really enjoyed my stay.

  • Luke saved us after a bad Airbnb experience we had booked for those days when in town to attend the Vikings game. He accommodated our need to park our vehicle at the property and offered to check our bags in early when he didn’t need to. Responded to inquiries and help with the TV almost immediately. The property was secure and clean. Check-in was simple and independent. Nice extra touches as well. He was very respectful and helpful. All around a great experience. Would definitely book with Luke again.

  • Delightful space, and wonderful location. Would definitely stay again.

    Janine2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • This great old house is in a quiet pretty neighborhood easily walkable to the river to the south and to the metro to the north. It seemed freshly painted and furnished inside; bathroom and kitchen both really nicely refurbished! Plenty of space and privacy so that two couples were quite comfortable. Comfortable beds, lots of closet space, great lighting and internet. We felt right at home for a 2-week stay! Luke and Josh were both readily available to help with our questions. Note there are 18 steps up to the front door, in case that could be an issue.

  • An amazing stay with a very homey feel.

    Averi Diana2019-06-12T00:00:00Z

  • Luke’s place was great. Loved the homey feel and the hardwood floors. Prospect Park is a great neighborhood to walk in—and the university is definitely within walking distance. I would definitely want to stay here again.

**Air conditioner newly installed!** Spacious private room with a comfortable queen bed, sofa (which can be converted to a bed to accommodate up to 1 additional person with advance notice), full workspace, closet, and shelves. Functions as a roomy suite; you will not feel cramped in this room! Bright and airy by day, cozy and quiet by night. Within 10 minutes of the U of M campus and downtown Minneapolis, with easy access to highways to get you anywhere else!
You will have this room to yourself during your stay. The house is occupied by 4 male roommates, 2 of whom have rooms on the same floor as this listing. You will share a bathroom with those 2 rooms. It is likely that you will see some or all of these men during your stay, but they plan to keep to themselves outside of a quick hello. On occasion they may have quiet gatherings in the common areas, but there are no loud/late parties.
NE Minneapolis is a vibrant community of artists, students, and professionals. The house is within walking distance to several restaurants and cafes, with a park nearby. This listing is ideal for businesspeople and those who need easy access to the U of M.

  • Louise, Greg and co provide an easy going and comfortable accommodation which is fantastic value for money. A close walking distance to good choice of cafes and bars but also near to the university. I stayed here whilst visiting a conference and for that it was just perfect. I would definitely choose to stay there again if I come back. Thanks!

    Rhoslyn2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful room with great vibes. Sincerely enjoyed my stay at Greg’s place! Looking forward to another stay in the future.

    Austin2018-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for 6 weeks while in town for work. No major complaints. Occasional cleanliness issues and loud evenings, but that is to be expected in a house full of people. The bedroom is cute and spacious. The bathroom is shared with two other residents. The space is fine, just as long as you’re alright with living in close proximity to others!

    Emma2019-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay in the quiet and charming home, which is conveniently located to explore Minneapolis by car. We underpacked a bit for the weather but the two radiators kept us nice and warm at night! The shared bathroom is also very tidy and easily accessible from the hall just outside the room. Love the decor!

    Danielle2017-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome and spacious room! There was a desk to do work and plently of outlets. Everything was clean and the hosts were great about flexibility with checking in. Also had some great peanut butter chocolate chip cookies! Os a tad far from UMN campus, but would defintely recommend to anyone staying in the Twin Cities!

    Alex2019-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • First off I’ll preface by saying that this reservation came through for me after another canceled on me. So this was a last minute booking. I was visiting the Twin Cities for a week long work conference. This is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath typical “college house” by UofM. I was also staying during spring break week. There was no issues with cleanliness, although you have to share a bathroom with 3 other guys. My only main negative remark is that one of the nights they threw a small party while I was there. It wasn’t out of control. But they were loud when I was trying to sleep to prepare for a busy day. So just be prepared for that. I am not sure if the other guys in the house are students, but they were there whenever I was home. Again, it’s a good value for the price. Just be prepared for the arrangement.

  • Such a cozy apartment! I think this is the first time I could use the word "destress" to describe an Air B N B. The apartment had wonderful little touches that were really charming and a lot of unique restaurants about 10-15min by car (also walkable).

    Adwoa2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem!! I am so glad this little space was available for our trip! It was perfect. It is indeed cozy, but we enjoyed it (with four people) for 2 nights and 3 days. It is so charming and all of the inside details are so thoughtfully placed. It was decorated for the holiday season and there was some festive music playing on a small CD player (with an adorable teddy bear resting on top) as we arrived. There were so many delightful little surprises about this space. It’s in a great location. The neighbors are friendly. Julie was personable, responsive, and helpful. I am looking forward to bringing my partner back in the spring or summer so we can enjoy the outside space, too!

    Ashley2018-12-09T00:00:00Z

    Benjamin2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and eclectic sums it up! We really enjoyed all the unique touches in this space. The location is great! Within walking distance to fun stores and great places to eat. Fun place to enjoy our Anniversary!

    Brittany2018-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Julie’s place for about three weeks and loved it. It was two of us and two dogs. Because of our longer stay, Julie made very certain to let us know beforehand that the place was cozy and didn’t have WiFi. Neither of these were an issue. There was plenty of space for us and the dogs (albeit, not extra space). We just brought our WiFi hotspot but there are several cafes in the area and one that is about a 5 minute walk. The area is phenomenal with a short walk down to the river for runs along the Heritage Trail, close to downtown Mpls proper, right along a bike friendly road, and close-ish to campus (but not too close). There is also parking in the driveway so you never need to worry about that. If you are looking for minimalist modern, this won’t be your place but instead Julie is quite artistically inspired and has nicknacks and artistic touches throughout the place. Julie also lives onsite and is extremely responsive to any questions and requests. Highly recommend.

    Kim2018-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was hands-down my favorite Airbnb experience so far. Julie's apartment is great; the pictures of it do not do it justice. She was extremely thoughtful and hospitable, not only with the extra things she left for us in the apartment, but also with her communication with us. My fiancee and I loved it here and we'll definitely try to stay here again in the future. We highly recommend it.

The studio includes a full-sized bed, a twin airbed, heating, kitchen, work desk, wi-fi, air-conditioning, and 1 bathroom.
The space is a corner studio on the upper floors which offers a nice view of the city and lets in a lot of natural sunlight. The unit is spacious and well-lit. • Michale was quick on responding to messages! Place was very stylish and comfortable. Great place to stay for a weekend getaway with friends

    Blanca2018-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Clean space, in student housing. It was nice to have two separate bedrooms with their own bathroom. It got a little noisy at night on the weekends but that’s to be expected for student housing. WiFi was not setup when we arrived but luckily we didn’t need it and weren’t in the apartment very often. Overall great location in comparison to light rail and U of M campus.

    Travis2018-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to stay. Very clean and modern. Check in was quick and easy and there is parking right by the complex.

    Lisa2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Michael was such a great host. I messaged him to say thank you, and his reply was immediate and cordial. Which made us feel at ease knowing if we had concerns (there were none) he would get back to us right away. The apartment was spotless, as others have said. It worked so well for us stopping in between outings, and during our overnight stay. The location was centrally located for us. It was about a 15 minute walk from the concert venue (Surly Brewing Co.), and a short walk to Dinkytown where we ate our meals. Michael gives very clear check-in/out and parking instructions with pictures. I would highly recommend staying here, and we would definitely stay here again!

    Alison2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome layout and location right downtown! 2 bathrooms is a game changer for guests! I highly recommend this spot! :)

    Larissa2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • My stay was purely for business, so I did not have a lot of time to interact with Michael, but he was lightning fast in responding to any of my messages, which was a great plus. He provided me information on where to get groceries (there was a perfect little co-op food store a 15 minute walk away, perfect!) and was very helpful. The space was clean and everything I needed to cook, sleep, wash up, and do work was there. Zero issues with WiFi and entrance/exit from the building. I would stay here again if I'm in the area!! Definitely recommend.

This is a fully furnished apartment unit which features a full kitchen, dishes, toaster, coffemaker, microwave, cooking utensils, spices, condiments, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, and anything else you will need!!
  • Great place with a prime location to the downtown. No issues what so ever. Would highly recommend.

    Austin2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Apartment was clean and the location is very central. It was lacking some basic amenities however, for example: I had to buy cooking oil and basic spices, there was no sponge or brush to wash dishes (there is a dishwasher, but nothing to scrub pots/pans), and there was no hair dryer despite the listing saying there is. Additionally, the remote control for the bedroom TV was missing so we had to reprogram the living room remote each time we wanted to use a different TV. On the plus, the host is fairly responsive and there were free snacks provided in the kitchen (the mac & cheese cups expired in April, however).

  • My wife and I stayed at Kara’s place for our anniversary vacation and it was great! We weren’t at the apartment a ton since we were out and about, but the location is close to everything. Minutes from downtown and the University and 20 minutes from MOA. Very close to the interstate. The place was so clean and had everything we needed. My wife forgot some things and Kara was quick to respond and is sending them back. We are thankful for her and would stay again if we are back!

  • My wife and I are frequent Airbnb users and our stay at Lydia and John's place was one of our best experiences. The attic space they have prepared for guests is extremely nice. They are located in a very beautiful and quiet neighborhood , which is conveniently close to the university and light rail. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend Lydia and John to anyone traveling to the Twin Cities.

    Armin2018-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Lydia's and John's place for a week while on a business trip at the university and it was ideal! The room is the upstairs floor, super clean and quiet, very cozy looking, beautiful skylights, and larger than the pictures can show! A quick 10min walk to the light rail and from there you can get anywhere in the city. Lydia and John were also very friendly and welcoming and eager to chat whenever I was in the main house. Couldn't have asked for more; thanks!

This charming one bedroom apartment is part of a large Victorian home located in the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood; an ideal Minneapolis spot. The interior is uniquely decorated with full amenities including an unusual and quirky feature: the shower is in the kitchen. It's an oddity, but really fun. The home is walking distance to Minneapolis' historic Stone Arch bridge, University of MN Dinkytown area, and a short trip to downtown Minneapolis.
Perfect space for 2 people but can sleep up to 4 people. One bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a queen size air mattress available for sleeping up to two more people. The kitchen provides an array of different utensils, plates, glasses, and just about anything you could need if you would like to cook. Coffee/tea included as well as oils/spices/some condiments to help you get started with your stay. Flat screen TV in the living room to watch movies or sporting events. It's a comfortable and beautifully decorated space to relax with beautiful light. We love long term renters so we offer a 10% discount for weekly stays and 30% discount for monthly stays with a pro-rated discount for anything in between.
Less than a mile to US BANK Stadium. Quick and easy access to downtown and NE Minneapolis. Only one mile to TCF Bank Stadium (MN Gopher football, Mariucci (MN Gophers Hockey), Williams Arena, U of M Hospital and the rest of campus. Less than two miles to Target Stadium (MN Twins baseball) and Target Center (MN Lynx & Timberwolves). A short 6 minute walk to the Stone Arch Bridge and Historic Main Street. Downtown Mpls is close including Guthrie, Walker, fine dining resturaunts, bars, and clubs. U of MN campus is within walking distance. Easy access to 35W to get around town/to and from airport easily.

  • My husband, son, and I stayed for 3 nights and it was the perfect spot for us! The home is beautiful and clean, and in the perfect location - we were never more than 20 minutes away from where we wanted to go. I agree with others that the shower may be a small issue for taller people (I’m 5’8” and had to bend to wash my hair) but it’s a historic home and just part of the charm! Absolutely recommend this home if you’re traveling to the twin cities!

  • This an idyllic place. I loved the fact that they converted a large Victoria mansion with all of the great, classic features into separate spaces that enable each renter to have their own private space. Lisa and Paul also did an awesome job of making you feel welcome and very supported with necessities, as well as unique amenities. My only disappointment was that I couldn't grab more days. I hated to leave.

We really appreciated the quietness of this place. Didn’t hear the road or any other tenants. A little place of solace in the city. Very clean (and I’m picky about such things), plenty of room for two (though the bathroom is a little “cozy,” it works), and the host wasn’t bothered by my incessant dumb questions. Highly recommended.

  • Great space. Quirky is a good way to describe it becuase the shower in the kitchen was tricky but fine. Nice setup. Great neighborhood. Loved the kitchen, living room and cable tv and the bed was comfy. The post it notes were helpful too.

A quiet, relaxing private bedroom with a comfy queen bed and AC in our gorgeous duplex, a short walk to U of MN, airport light rail, Augsburg college, Nice Ride bikes, unique restaurants, live music, fine arts, and short ride to the city center.
This lovely first floor bedroom in the big blue house has a sea-green comfy double bed, AC and heat, a view of backyard garden, high speed internet, access to a shared kitchenette (with electric teakettle, blender, coffee grinder, toaster), bathroom (shared with up to two), free parking out front, and free use of the big shared study table and meditation room, in this SPACIOUS turn-of-the-century treasure, with original woodwork, hardwood floors, high ceilings and lush rugs.
Cedar-Riverside neighborhood is a culturally rich, multi-ethnic neighborhood at the hub of theaters, visual arts, music, educational activities, and several major health care facilities. "The Electromagnetic Center of the Universe", located on the west bank of Mississippi River, is home to the west bank of the University of Minnesota and for Augsburg college. Heidihouse was built by Norwegian immigrants who worked for the railroad in the early 1900's, and was saved from demolition by student-activists in the early 1970's, and well-cared for by the same artist/homeowner for 30 years.
  • I had an incredible night stay at Heidi house. The energy is very good and I don't want to stay anywhere else whenever I find myself in Minnesota. The whole setup is top notch and Heidi is a lovely person. Great sleep and perfect location! I feel fortunate and grateful.

  • Heidi's place is close to downtown, and light rail blue line. The room is spacier than what looks in the listing photo. Clean and comfortable.

  • Very basic, very simple, very artsy spot. Very comfortable/clean spot to rest your head at night. Neighborhood is okay, not great but right across the street from Augsburg. Easy in and out. Shared bathroom (2 other private rooms rented on the level) and proximity is tight, but it works. 7$ uber downtown. If you are going to be out and exploring the city, you will enjoy it. If you are planning on being around the house, probably not the best option for you.

  • The Blue Room at HeidiHouse was exactly as I had hoped! It was cozy, clean, inviting, and I felt right at home. Her small garden outside was beautiful and the giant raspberry bush had a lot of ruby colored berries ready to be picked! Her paintings that covered the walls within HeidiHouse were so lovely to look at, and the kitchen had all the amenities you would need. The location is not exactly as I pictured but it was perfect anyhow, and it's very close to the amazing Seward Co-op which I highly recommend to pick up grocery items. The bed and pillows were so comfy and the air conditioner was so appreciated on this hot weekend! I truly loved my stay and hope to come back.

  • I stayed at Heidi's for about 10 days. It was a wonderful stay. I enjoyed staying at Heidi's as it was close to my everyday commute as well as some really good places right nearby. I enjoyed running near the campus neighborhood. There are some nice cafes and restaurants nearby, just walking distance. The neighborhood is calm and quite, so you can get a peaceful vacation if you want. Heidi is a very considerate person. She saw that I had an extended stay with her, so she offered to wash my clothes. The house has its own parking area, and not on the street. All in all its nice warm place to be. I'd definitely stay here whenever I'd need a place in MSP. "Inner Sunshine" :)

  • Heidi was a fantastic host. I didn't get the chance to meet her, but she sent detailed instructions before check in and was always available if I needed again. Her home was very cozy, quiet, and relaxing. She even offered bagels and tea in the morning. By far, it was one of the best airbnb stays. Thanks so much, Heidi!

  • It was a pleasure to stay at Heidi's house! It is very quite, cozy, artistic and clean place. It is close to downtown, university of Minnesota, airport and parks. I loved the coded door entrance so you don't have to be afraid to forgot or lose the key. Heidi is very nice and friendly, she gave me all directions to good restaurants and different places to visit. I would definitely come back next time I'm in Minneapolis!
