This large room in a shared apartment has a comfortable queen size bed, desk, chair, and drawers. The apartment is centrally located in San Francisco, and it is two blocks from the nearest subway stop.
The Apartment This spacious private room is a part of a three bedroom apartment. The apartment has a full kitchen (microwave, coffee machine, oven, stove, refrigerator, toaster, juicer, blender, etc.) and a washer and dryer. You can use basically anything. I also have detergent, which you can use for free. The room is very large, clean and the sheets are fresh and changed around 5pm-7pm on the day of your arrival. There will be freshly washed towels for you. There is a desk for you to use with a chair. The house has one printer, which you can use. I also have an iron and dryer for your use as well, which is generally on the laundry room shelf. There are additional sheets, blankets, and towels, for you if you would like available in the hallway closet. Internet There is a high-speed wired connection and wifi (100 mb download speeds). It is very fast and has been very dependable. Location, Transportation, and Parking Our location is very accessible because it is in the very center of San Francisco. We are 2 blocks away (6 minute walk) from the 16th St. BART station, which offers a thirty minute direct ride to San Francisco Airport. This is There are many bus routes that are right outside the apartment. A taxi from the airport takes about 20 minutes. There is free street parking available (with street cleaning limitations), and the apartment is near the freeway for those who need to get on Highway 101. I have detailed directions for you about parking, which should make it a lot easier for you. There is also a gas station on the other side of the same block. Arrival and Departure Since I travel often for work, I may or may not be here right when you arrive. There is an easy way for you to access the house even when I am away--I'll give you a key lock code that gives you access to the house key. In order to make your stay easy, if there are no guests staying directly before you or after you, I want you to be able to arrive and leave when you would like that day. If there is a guest leaving on the day of your arrival, I will ask them to leave at a reasonable hour (mid-afternoon), and ask you to do the same if someone else is arriving on the day of your departure (this is not that common, actually). You can absolutely drop your bag off early in the morning and roam around, but you may not have access to the room until later that day--this is so you can roam around without carrying around bags if you arrive very early in the morning. Again, I want to make it easiest for all people, and I want your stay here to be easy. The Neighborhood (and Safety) While the Mission area is alive and busy, my street is fairly quiet. There are hundreds of great restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance, and many bars if you want to go out at night. Coffee shops are everywhere, and there are many nearby grocery stores. The Safeway is a 10-15 minute walk away and FoodsCo and Rainbow Grocery are even closer (5 minute walk). Since the location is very accessible, it is, in my opinion, and many of my guests', an ideal location to access various tourist attractions. We are also a 10 minute walk from Delores Park, from which you can have a view of the entire city. I am privileged in that I have never felt unsafe walking around late at night as a male, but I also had two female housemates who came home late at night often because of work (they lived here for two years), and they never had a problem coming home by themselves (late at night). I'm sure they took precautions late at night as they would in any busy city area (walking on main streets, etc.), but they never had any negative incident occur to them during their stay here. I am a pretty easygoing host. Ask me anything you'd like, and I'll get back to you as soon possible.
The Mission is a very eclectic and has a rich cultural history in San Francisco. Nearby there is virtually anything you might want. Incredible coffee (Four Barrel), parks (Dolores Park), brunch places (Mission Beach Cafe, Foreign Cinema Cafe), all kinds of food, bakeries (Tartine), many taquerias (the famous La Taqueria is one BART stop away, down Mission St.), and a vibrant night life.
  • good room with nice people but the surrounding areas were a bit rough

    Erick2019-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location, really perfect for everything: Directly in the heart of the Mission, within walking distance to Market. Given the for SF relatively cheap price, this was a reasonable deal. Don´t expect too much, though. Room was really cold during the night (in March, probably perfect from April on), bathroom quite dirty. Yong was very helpfull, gave great recommendations for dinner, check-in and communication could not be better.

    Nicolas2018-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is in a nice location adjacent to a street with many great and interesting restaurants and businesses. The room was very clean, safe and quiet.

    Gregory2018-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, clean room, comfortable bed. Yong seems to rent out multiple rooms in the apartment, so just as a reference for other travelers, the particular mix of other guests will somewhat determine your overall experience in terms of noise especially. Luckily during my stay, we were all pretty considerate when coming in late at night or getting up early in the morning.

    Erin2015-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • The location is really good. The price is very reasonable. Thank you!

    Ayumi2019-05-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very chill host. Check in and check out were extremely easy. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable.

    Kelly2015-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • The host had a really good listing of places around the apartment, clear instructions on how to get in etc, and although I only met Yong for like two minutes, he was very helpful. I would stay at his place again because of the great location close to restaurants and bars in Missions, and for comfortable and quiet sleep!

    Lasse2016-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is the room I stayed in, but the next door neibour runs a generator every night, not sure why, if you can sleep through it not an issue, my fault I did not speak to Yong about it, I had busy days so not an issue for me. Parking is an issue, do not expect to park on the street you are staying at, I ended up driving around in circles for 30 min the first night I was there. If I come back to Yong`s, I would use UBER not rent a car.

My very ordinary apartment is in the Mission District, which, IMHO, is the best place in San Francisco! It's full of shops and restaurants. The BART Train is 3 blocks away. You can take the train or walk everywhere in San Francisco. The Mission is also famous for the high number of homeless people living on the street. Nothing to be scared of, but please don't come if that will bother you. I have 2 rooms and 2 listings, so there are frequently other Airbnb guests here. STR (Phone number hidden by Airbnb)
Hi there, My apartment is a newly-renovated, but otherwise a VERY ordinary place, in the Mission in San Francisco. The main bedroom is rented through my other listing. This listing is for the living room that has a double sofa bed, plus another sofa. There's one bathroom with a toilet and sink, and another room with a shower and sink (it's odd but it's a San Francisco thing.) There's a kitchen (not for use by guests). A brand new washer and dryer (bring your own detergent). And...what else? The neighborhood is AMAZING! San Francisco is known as a mecca of dining, and many of those wonderful restaurants are right here in the Mission. The apartment is two blocks away from 16th Street Mission BART Station. Between the BART and the hub of bus stops that surround it, you can easily travel to anywhere in the City, and with BART out into the East Bay and pretty far away. BART also takes you out to the Airports in San Francisco and Oakland, so no need for taxis and shuttles. There's an East German restaurant on my block that people stand in line to visit, and there's a wonderful neighborhood coffee shop/restaurant/bar/sports bar that I go to alllllllll the time. There is a supermarket on the street behind me and two blocks away is the fabulous Rainbow Grocery. So, on second thoughts, there's no reason to ever take a bus or a train, because there's so much right here and walking distance away! There are so many wonderful places to walk to - Dolores Park, Mission Dolores, The Castro - and restaurants ranging from cheap to wildly expensive! Up South Van Ness, you can walk to City Hall, the Opera and Ballet, Hayes Valley, the Civic Center and Main Library. If you REALLY like to walk, you can walk to Union Square or Downtown, or jump on the BART and ride a couple of stops. If you have a car, parking is tough, but not so bad. The apartment is only a couple of blocks away from an entrance to the freeway, 101 and 280, so that's incredibly convenient too. I have another listing for the main bedroom. I keep two listings to try to keep the bookings straight. You can book both rooms if they are available. You can find this listing at: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1154506?preview
I love that whatever direction you walk in, you are surrounded by shops and restaurants and things to do.
  • we have been hosted by Justy. She was great! really lovely person! Literally nothing was a problem for her! she was really helpful and she made sure all of her guests are happy and have everything they need. Flat was nice and clean same as our room. I felt really good in there. If you have a car you can park on the street for free but there is a lot of restrictions.

  • Very clean, cozy, with interesting books in the room. Very kind host. It did get a bit rowdy outside at night, but I was used to it as I previously stayed on Mission St in downtown SF. Great location though, as it's close to Market St and food places in the Mission.

    Hasumi2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Joanne was a great host! The apartment is clean and comfortable, located just a short walk from Downtown.

    Mike2018-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Place was very clean and quiet. Me and my bf loved the location. Very noisy at night but wasn't a bother for either of us. Joanne was very sweet and nice :)

  • We really enjoyed our stay with Joanne! In fact, this is the best experience I've had in Airbnb so far! Both sofas were comfy, especially the grey one! The whole place was super super SUPER clean and neat. Joanne was so friendly, polite, and with very good manners! And even though mom barely spoke English, Joanne made it so easy to communicate with her. In fact, mom liked her so much that she wish she could understand English so she can talk with her everytime she made some tea haha. We felt like home! Excellent overall experience! I'd highly recommend this place! It's location is convenient and close to a cheap supermarket (FoodsCo.) that I used to get a lot of things from.

  • We stayed for 5 nights. The room was okay, mainly a large bed, and has no air conditioning. We thought it wasn't so clean when we checked in, and we washed the sheets to make it feel better. That, and the lack of AC, is the reason we consider this room a bit pricey to what we got. The apartment is very comfortable, and includes facilities such as kitchen and a laundry machine + dryer. The shower and toilettes were kept clean during our whole stay period. The S. Van Ness & 15th area is somewhat scary to be out at night time, we were trying to be close to the mission district, but this wasn't exactly it. One must know the area and the neighbourhood in order to know where its safe to walk and where not. Parking is limited at the street, at specific times its forbidden to park due to street cleaning - you'll have to follow the signs and figure it out. We didn't get to meet Joanne as she was away, but her friend Justine was around the whole time and was a lovely host.

A very spacious fully-furnished studio in the San Francisco's sunny Mission District! This apartment offers all the essentials and is in a neighborhood where you can experience the culture of SF! Located a 1/2 block from Bart and Muni lines run right outside. This is an ideal accommodation for anyone that needs to be in the city whether on business or for pleasure. We look forward to hosting your stay in SF! - Fully equipped kitchen - Wifi - Smart TV - Hardwood floors - On-site laundry
Located in the Mission District, this is one of SF's warmest and sunniest neighborhoods as well the Bohemian culture. Also known for some of the best burritos! A great neighborhood to experience SF's food and culture as well as easy access to downtown and surrounding neighborhoods.
  • Pros : Appartment was VERY clean when i got there, not a speck of dust could be found. Location is AMAZING, 3 minute walk from the 16th Mission Bart Station and about 30-40 min walk from Downtown. Price is very competitive. Communication with host was very good. Bad : Apartment is in a complex on a busy street. It's not LOUD but you can still hear the city outside at times. If your upstair neighborhood happen to be a loud walker you will hear him.

    Gabriel2019-03-30T00:00:00Z

  • Originally had booked a Sonder in New Orleans, but had to change my trip due to a hurricane. Sonder was extremely helpful in moving my reservation to another city with available suites that mat hed my preferences. They were quick to respond to concerns throughout- truly 24/7. Room was cute and had a beautiful bathroom, really close to Hayes street which had a park and great restaurants. Would stay here again!

  • A Nice and well located place. surrounded by good restaurants and best places for breakfast. Room was very tiny but clean and well styled at same time.

    Jose2019-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great Hayes Valley neighborhood dwelling. Compact, and minimal. Stylish and comfortable. Accessible and convenient. A successful middle-ground between hotel privacy, and personal home comfort.

    Brian2019-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is situated in a fantastic spot only minutes from tons of great restaurants and shops and the Van Ness Train stop. You should not plan on getting any cleaning during your stay. They is no fridge or any cooking amenities, though there is a nice room in which you can check e-mail or have a cup of tea. It is a quiet area that is safe which is very nice for a place near market street.

    Cristina2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for an affordable stay in a good location, this is a good find. Pros: Location is great, and room was clean with some nice amenities like bottled water and USB chargers. Cons: Room is tiny. Is missing some basic amenities like a hook to hang up a wet jacket, or a place to hang anything at all. Room shares a wall with the communal living room, and you can hear folks making tea, going into the fridge, etc. all all times of day & night. Room is also across the hall from the shared bathroom, where sound and smell travel very well into the room.

Our place is in Hayes Valley and walking distance to The Mission, The Castro and Lower Haight. You’ll love it because of the coziness and the location is perfect for transit to just about anywhere in San Francisco you'd want to go. It is a single room with its own private entrance and is good for solo travelers. The room only accommodates 1 guest. If you are looking for a space for 2-4 people, the other room in hour home for rent is listed too (Garden-level Room in Victorian)
The room opens up to the courtyard of a 130 year old Victorian. The room is private and the entrance and exit is through the courtyard. The room has a microwave and fridge for your convenience. Other guests are sometimes in the room on the other side of the courtyard, but other than sharing the bathroom, you will rarely see or hear them.
Some of the best neighborhoods in this city are Hayes Valley, the Mission, and Lower Haight. Fortunately, our house is located at the meeting point of all three, so you have access to some of the best food — both quick eats and sit down spots — cafes, parks, bars, shopping and artwork in the city. We are happy to forward you recommendations on places to go for social time, personal time, and community events.
  • If you're sensitive to noise, sleeping here will be a problem due to people walking upstairs . Good price for location. But not as great as described

  • Trey and his husband Guy were both exceptional hosts! They were responsive with all communications, and very clear about their house rules. This is a perfect place for someone travelling solo, though you should be comfortable with sharing a common bathroom. Location has great access to the Haight District and Hayes Valley; but also a pretty quick bike ride to downtown and waterfront areas.

  • Very good location and easy to find, however the listing says free street parking which is not correct as it’s limited to certain times. The room size looked bigger in the photos, however just fit the double bed in with very limited space to move around. The private bathroom however was very nice and more spacious. The room was very expensive for the size, it is at best somewhere to sleep, not recommended if you plan to spend much time in the room. There was a nice shared social area, and very close to tram/trolley station.

    Nathan2019-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great location! Stylish and welcoming space! Only complaint is the room we got(#6) had little to no air circulation which made for hot/restless sleep this time of year due to high outside temps. Realizing now we could have asked for a different room, but at least now you know you can!

  • This location is truly unbeatable- Hayes Valley is the best! The Sonder communal space was a great place to work from, and the amenities were clean & easy! Would definitely stay here again.

  • Small but comfortable and very clean room in a great location. Check-in, luggage storage, and amenities are great. The private bathroom is quite nice, but do note that it is located directly across the hall from the room. Overall would highly recommend.

  • The location is pretty good, about a 20 min walk to the Mission and Castro. The bed was comfy and everything was clean. The room was quiet. We would stay again.

  • I wouldn’t recommend.

    Leah2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • It was very quiet. I felt safe.

    Kim2019-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Im disappointed that there was separate bathroom. The window was going to the hallway and not outside, creating such bad air quality. This room shouldn’t really qualify for a bedroom. The bed was too big for the room, so there were no extra space for moving around. The towels were new but not washed so there were so much lint on the towels. That was uncomfortable. I also didn’t like that there were now cleaning every day in the room. Overall an average stay. The only good thing was Netflix on the tv and the location.

  • The private room was just what I was looking for! It was peaceful, clean, comfortable and filled with so much light! Mark and Rafael are friendly, communicative and respectful host. There are a lot of great restaurants nearby and it's really close to the BART. I definitely would stay here again if I am in the Mission District.

  • Mark (and Leonardo) greeted me with an open door and a warm welcome. There were chocolates in the room along with walking tour information for San Francisco. There was a great information sheet detailing everything I might need in case of an emergency, including a first aid kit that was made available. We also had a wonderful quiet evening with wonderful wine, food and conversation. I truly felt like I knew both Mark and Rafael all my life. I also got to meet the two rescue dogs they were in the process of transferring to new owners. (I do hope the babies are now well loved and taken care of in their new home.) The apartment is lovely. The place is exactly as advertised and a wonderful accommodation for the price and location. The bedroom truly is as comfortable and welcoming as it looks in the pictures. The neighborhood is a fantastic eclectic mix of life! Many fine bars and restaurants to choose from which provided a real slice of life in San Francisco. Transportation was incredibly easy with many bus connections available within a block or two along with very convenient access to BART.

  • Can't recommend it highly enough. Mark and Rafael are generous, gracious hosts and good company. The room is great (as noted by another guest, the bed is very comfortable!} and I wish I'd spent more time in it, but the neighbourhood is too interesting to stay indoors. The location was perfect for me, but I suppose future guests would need to be OK with the dynamics of an area that's changing rapidly - with winners as well as loosers. It was great to be able to discuss some of these issues with Mark and Rafael, who are long term residents and care about their community. This was my first Airbnb experience and my hosts made it a very good one, but were also prepared to honestly discuss some of the issues around Airbnb that are currently controversial in San Francisco. I wouldn't hesitate to return.

  • Being with Mark and Rafael is better than being at home. Responsibility faces me at home - but at Mark and Rafael all the responsibility is lifted - and even better than that - I honestly feel nurtured. I am looked after. In the best way possible. If I need something, they go out of their way to provide it. We have a date to make New York Jewish chicken soup together in the future - so I can nurture them in return. I come from Brooklyn, NY to visit my son and his family in West Portal - inconvenient? Not at all - The 48 Portola bus runs right from 24th St to West Portal !! Easy as pie. And much cheaper ! The ride over the hills is very exciting, too. Can't wait to go back. I'll be visiting these wonderful friends as well as my family !

  • This was my first ever stay in San Francisco and I was overwhelmed by the city as well as the hospitality I enjoyed from Mark and Rafael. The room was spacious and had enough of privacy after long days at the convention to gather my thoughts while enjoying a nice drink.

    Niels2016-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is an Airbnb at its best. Mark and Rafael are the kind of people you want to be friends with and invite to your own house. They went out of their way to make my stay pleasant.

    Judith2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • First of all I received a phone call from Mark while I was still in NYC. I don't remember getting a phone call from any previous host before I arrived, so I was pleased before I got there. Mark and Rafael are wonderful hosts - ready to share their very laid back, relaxed home with you and make you feel welcome. When I got off the Bart, which is a hop away, I called Mark and he was out on the street to guide me to his house and carry my bag up the stairs. ( I'm 80 and I did not find the stairs difficult. ) I didn't read carefully enough and didn't realize that they have a sweet little dog.. But, good luck - not to theirs. Maybe that's b/c the dog was so quiet and stayed mainly in their room. Let me tell you that I LOVED the art work all around. I loved the paintings which changed with the light - some glowed at certain times of the day. I loved the furniture which looked antique and as if it was selected by a knowing eye. I loved the vases, the sculptures and the design of the kitchen area which was sort of like a restaurant kitchen. And I was totally comfortable in my room. Totally.!! The photo does not do it justice. Their home was spotless. Mark said that at times one might hear street noises. I heard not a sound. It was quiet and restful. And I was there for 10 days, so I imagine I would have heard noise. Transportation to everything was really convenient. And you can find whatever you want very close at hand - even fruit stands right on the corner.

  • I had a superb stay at Rafael and Mark's and highly recommend this accommodation. They are amazing hosts. They looked after every detail including postcards and First-Aid-Kit. The room was cosy, clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was very comfortable and there was also a desk for firing up the notebook. Coffee, tea, milk, juice, cereal were available and Mark made Coffee for me in the morning. He made lots of suggestions what to do in San Francisco and once he took me with his car to the de Young Museum! Whilst I really enjoyed interacting with them, I was also afforded the privacy when I wanted it. It was up to me to decide how much I wished to interact or be left alone. The BART-Station and the MUNI-Bus stop are only a short walk away and there are also lots of restaurants and shops nearby.

Just two blocks from BART and half a block from three bus lines, this large bedroom with a PRIVATE BATHROOM allow access all that SF has to offer. Like most of San Francisco, there is a large but harmless population of homeless people in the Mission.
THE APARTMENT: This third-story walk-up apartment lends itself well to privacy. The guests' bathroom and bedroom are in the back of the building. Our bedroom, office and study are in the front. We have our own bathroom adjoining our bedroom, so the apartment's bathroom and shower are strictly for guest use. There is a large screen TV with Netflix in the bedroom.
This is an ideal location for business layover or seeing all that SF has to offer. Located two blocks from the 16th and Mission BART station and a half a block from three major bus lines, this large room in a classic Victorian in the Mission allows easy access to all of Valencia St.’s best eateries, the clubs in the Castro, and the bars in SOMA. Parking We would recommend NOT having a car during your stay in SF. Parking is metered directly in front of the building from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. It’s free on Sunday. You need to feed the meter every 2 hours. You can do this with your phone, credit card or coins. If you want to drive around and search for a bit, there is free parking east of South Van Ness from 14th all the way to 18th. You can usually find parking somewhere between 14th and 15th (east/west) and South Van Ness and Harrison (north/south). There is also so a pay lot on the corner of 14th between Stevenson and Woodward just two blocks east - Zenanli parking 344 14th St, San Francisco, CA (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) HOMELESS Like most of San Francisco, there is a large but harmless population of homeless people in the Mission. The BART station at 16th is particularly colorful.

  • We had a great time at Rye, Robin, and Olive's place! The bedroom and private bathroom are beautiful and very clean (as is the rest of the house). Rye also recommended some awesome places to get good food! We'll be back!

    Stephanie2016-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Rye and Robin's apartment was beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. The bedroom and bath were clean and spacious. The apartment itself is well-located. We enjoyed some good Mexican food in the neighbourhood and a lovely picnic at the Mission Dolores park on the weekend. Unfortunately, Rye and Robin were not in town during our stay but they were really systematic with the instructions. Rye was quick to respond to any queries. Would love to stay here again when we visit San Fran!

  • Overall I had a pretty good stay at hack n sleep. The location is good near muni and Bart. The place does get a bit crowded as the other rooms house multiple guests. It was a bit tricky to store food in the fridge as it was always packed. One annoying thing is that the fridge kept freezing my food. Sometimes guests were a bit loud in the common areas late at night so I would recommend enforcing quiet hours.

    Kyle2019-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Pros: price is good, excellent location. Cons: It's a bit on the crowded side, and occupants don't always follow the host's rules (not the host's fault). However, the bedroom heater needs to be cleaned. The air quality was unbearable to me when the heater was one. I forfeited 2/3 of my stay (roughly 20 days) because I was having hard time breathing at night due to the poorly maintained heater. Bottom line, it is good value for a short stay ( 7 days or less).

  • Everything about this AirBnB was perfect, from a clean comfortable room, easy access and great location. Check in and out was really easy, with Nico very much showing he cared about my comfort and enjoyment of my stay.

    Ian2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Nico's place is definitely above average. I've stayed in many Airbnbs before and my rule is take the pictures and the good reviews with a grain of salt, otherwise you'll probably be disappointed. Not the case here. The pictures don't do justice and the reviews are very accurate. Nico went above and beyond to make the space feel cozy yet modern, and very very comfortable. The attention to detail and care that he provides will be hard to match :)

    Vinia2018-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very comfortable room, great host and view from the window! Toiletries were much better compared to what I enjoyed at most hotels! Thanks Nico for being a great host!

    Huixian2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nico is a wonderful host. The location is amazing! The space is clean and well put together. Very grateful. I would definitely stay again!

  • A well-appointed room with plenty of nice touches. We were very comfortable. Nico was helpful and easy to get in touch with. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again if we return to SF.

    Carmen2018-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • I cannot say enough good things about my stay at Nico's place! The room and bathroom were so CLEAN. He literally thinks of every little thing and every little thing has it's place. My OCD heart was happy. It was a nice, quiet, and safe neighborhood in a great location to where we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. Nico greeted us upon arrival and departure and his communication was excellent pre-trip and during the trip. He even gifted us with a bottle of wine that we thoroughly enjoyed with some delicious Thai that we grabbed a couple of blocks away. If I ever come back to SF, I will definitely be looking to see if his place is available first.

    Ashleigh2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Nicos Place was great! It had so many little touches and amenities that really made it a pleasure to stay in. The room was well laid out and had everything I needed. Nico was super welcoming and made sure I got settled in. Would definitely stay here again when I am back in SF!

    Ian2019-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Nico's place worked our perfectly for us, for our visit with family that lives nearby. The room had everything we needed, with nice stylish touches, was pretty quiet at night, and included access to a rooftop, open air lounge area that was very cool, with awesome views of the city. Nico was a great host. We would definitely stay here again on another visit to SF.

  • Loved the area this house is in. One of the downsides was that you could hear literally everything on the street if you’re in the living room. I could also hear the upstairs neighbors walking around. Overall great experience and would recommend! Lynn was super responsive to texts and fixed the washing/drying machines pretty quickly. The problems experienced are pretty typical for sf and hard to avoid.

    Sydney2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • This house is centrally-located, super-stylish and has great appointments (kitchen you can really cook in, good linens). Two fireplaces, designer furnishings and fourteen foot ceilings--yes please! Dog-friendly--YES! The proximity to great transport is not to be underestimated--you can jump on the 6, 7, F, muni and Bart all within an extremely short walk. This place is quiet at night and has everything you need. Lynn is highly responsive as a host, although you may never meet her!

    Alli2018-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is spacious, stylish and centrally located. I love that it's a short walk to all that Hayes Valley has to offer (shopping, great food, Biergarten, doggo park) and a short (uphill) walk to Safeway/Whole Foods and Duboce Park. It's easy to jump on the Muni, F trolleys or 6/7 to get downtown. I loved living in this apartment and was deeply saddened to leave! I lived here for six months, and while there was some construction, it was always during the day (and I was at work). Huge plus is that this apt is dog-friendly, and my dog loved the giant window to observe all the comings and goings on Haight Street. 11/10 would stay here again.

    Alli2019-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay in Lynn’s apartment. Thanks for Lynn, Mark, and Christopher helping us a lot! Wonderful location, convenient public transportation, great restaurants, and very safe. I’m sure we’ll come back Lynn’s space when I visit San Francisco next time.

  • Solid spot in a great and walkable neighborhood. Michael has a lot of little touches within the BNB that give it unique personality and convenience. Nice cozy spot to recharge before exploring the city. Would stay again.

    Joe2019-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place is everything I could have hoped for in an AirBNB. The location is perfect. The bed was comfortable. The shower was good. And LOTS of snacks. Michael went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. I will definitely stay here again. The only caveat is the walls are a bit thin so if one guest doesn't respect the space then everyone's affected. I had absolutely zero issues with loud neighbors but it's a possibility.

  • This is everything you can ask for, simply a great place to stay. We stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the place as a base for our excursions. It is easy to walk many places from the apartment (if you enjoy walking, like we do). The place is on the small side, but very comfortable, and has a great bed and a large bathroom, and plenty of space for clothing and suitcases. Michael had treats many places in the apartment, and was easy to communicate with. Checking in and out could not be any easier. We would love to stay there again!

    Lasse2018-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place made for a great stay in SF. Great location near several fun neighborhoods and close to the Financial District for work, and nice little touches like snacks and a huge array of toiletries provided. There was even a bottle of wine and a few beers available for the taking!

  • Highly recommend this host to anyone visiting San Francisco!

    Nate2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Mike's place has everything you could wish for: it's cosy, clean, quiet, well furnished with a very comfy bed and all the small things you could need during your stay (snacks & drinks, toiletries) which is very thoughtful. Great location, right in-between the Mission and Hayes Valley.

    Adèle2018-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Michael’s apartment was wonderful, he thought of everything you might need during your stay. Coffee, water, Mini fridge was stocked, snack tray. If you forgot any toiletries Michael has you covered. Great location to, 5 minutes walk to BART, MUNI and restaurants.

Loved the nice touches, including coffee, tea and water available as well as some snacks. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. Highly recommend.

Also within easy walking distance to Rainbow Grocery if you're a fan. Pete and Ivan were very helpful and hospitable and kind. Welcome to the sunny Mission District! Our neighborhood is packed with cafes, restaurants, bars, shops, and galleries. Spend the day walking around and sampling local flavor, or grab a blanket and spend an afternoon taking it all in at Dolores Park.
It would be our pleasure to host you in our cozy studio centrally located in the heart of the bustling Mission Dolores neighborhood. We live upstairs and keep this space for family and guests only. This studio has a private entrance through our garage and is located at the back of the house and away from street noise. The bedroom is furnished with a queen bed, down comforter, and includes linens, a hairdryer, flat iron, toiletries, and iron & board. The bathroom is stocked with towels, soaps, and shampoo. The unit has its own fast wireless internet. Our studio comes with a basic kitchen which features a tea kettle, toaster, microwave, and refrigerator. If you find yourself needing something, simply let us know and we'll bring it downstairs!
Our studio is located on a quiet side street in one of the liveliest locations in the city with many restaurants, cafes and shops just around the corner on Valencia Street. A short walk will get you to Dolores Park, Whole Foods, yoga studios, coffee shops and countless other restaurants, bars, music venues, and galleries. The Castro neighborhood is a 15 minute walk from our house. Hayes Valley and Lower Haight are about a 20-minute walk away. Bernal Heights, Noe Valley, and Alamo Square are all within a lovely 30-minute stroll on foot.
  • The studio is very charming! The kitchen is spacious but there is unfortunately nothing for cooking (no electric stove). Good location and nice neighborhood. We recommend it!

    Antoine2017-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with a lot of resturants, shops, and bars in walking distance. The space was nice and had everything you would need including shampoo, conditioner , and a hairdryer. The bed was pretty firm for our liking. Also I would say since they don’t have air conditioning that a portable fan would be nice. It got pretty hot once we would both shower even with it being in the low 50s outside. All around a great place though! We enjoyed our stay!

  • This studio is perfect for a short stay in San Fran. Lindsay and Nicole provided some lovely extra touches that made the place feel like home. They also leave a folder filled with great recommendations for local places to eat and things to do. They were so accommodating with our early arrival and let us store our bags for the day which made it so much easier getting around! Note this place does not have a tv but we found we didn’t need one with everything we had to do! Thanks again for a great stay, we loved the place! :)

  • Could not speak more highly of Sonder and staff. My one pain point (lack of coffee) was addressed THE VERY SAME DAY when staff installed state of the art coffee machine just hours later. Beyond thoughtful and highly appreciated by me and fellow guests. The area was also an unexpected bonus! Lots of great food and shopping. I would definitely return to this location :)

  • Great location, easy access. Definitely a small space but I expected that in the city, and it works.

    Sarah2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • We’d never been to San Francisco, and this was a great place to be. Hayes Valley is a great neighborhood - probably would have been our favorite even if we weren’t staying there. Room was smallish but very nice and very clean. Common space was good sized and stylish. We arrived a little bit early, and even though we were communicating by text, we were able to check in early within a few minutes. Communication was excellent from the jump. Our room faced the street, and with no A/C the only way to get air was to open the windows. I was actually expecting it to be louder than it was, but there are definitely city noises (sirens, loud cars, etc.) that will wake a light sleeper occasionally. Overall, a really nice experience.

    Blake2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect location w/ close proximity to walkable restaurants, coffee shops and bars. Wonderful safe clean stay and the shared spaces are a huge plus if you're traveling for work. Will definitely re-book in the near future.

This sunny room in a shared apartment has a comfortable memory foam topped bed, desk, chair, and drawers.
  • Great location in Mission!

The location was perfect, access to almost everything: Bart (Public transportation) , grocery stores,... and most important thing (for a tourist) it's close to the airport. The room was big and exactly like the picture and the description.

  • He was super flexible and helpful. I had a great week, thank you for that :)

    Anton2017-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic place. Clean and inviting. Lacks nothing! (And the photos are totally accurate.) The host is friendly and responded quickly to all of my questions. (Cool guy!) The place is just a block away from the funnest stuff in the neighborhood. I’ll definitely revisit the joint if I ever go back! Aces!!

  • Yong was very accommodating and made sure I had everything I needed. He was very friendly and happy to chat with me and give tips and advice about the area. The room itself was comfortable and had everything I needed. There is practically no street noise and you get lots of light through the window. The bathroom and kitchen have everything you need although the bathroom is small, so don't expect anything fancy. Overall I stayed here for a month and had a great time. Would definitely come back again!

  • My best airbnb experience so far! Antigone is such a lovely host. She even brewed me fresh coffee every morning. The apartment is absolutely amazing.

    Alex2016-06-02T00:00:00Z
  • I had the most fantastic time with Antigone and Victor - and little doggie Chavela! Both Antigone and Victor are exceptionally welcoming and respectful towards their guests, the room has the perfect size and is very clean and quiet. I was ill with a bad cold when I checked in and was well looked after by Antigone with tea and fruits, which I am still thankful for. The apartment has a great size and couldn't not be in a better location to explore the bustling Mission Dolores neighbourhood on foot and the rest of SF via public transport (or foot as well). I can honestly say that I will miss my hosts and the conversations we had about life, art and dogs - and that I hope to be back some day!

    Mona2016-04-04T00:00:00Z
  • Antigone was a great host, and I had an excellent experience staying with her. The apartment is as described, and the room was perfect for what I needed. Central location, near transportation and right next to a nice brunch spot - I would definitely stay there again the next time I visit SF.

    Kelly2016-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Antigone and Victor were very friendly hosts. The condo is upscale and an amazing location for getting to explore San Francisco. The Mission District is really cool, and the stay made me feel very safe there. The dog was really cute too!

    Daniel2016-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • Antigone and her husband Victor are fantastic hosts. The room is very clean and homely, with Victor's artwork hanging everywhere. There is also a baby grand piano in the living room. Antigone plays it in the evening from time to time. The location of this room is also fantastic. I was on a work trip visiting a lot of places, and this room is right in the middle of everything. You get easy access to Muni. Market street and SOMO are within walking distance. Overall, I highly recommend this place!

    Ge2016-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • This place was incredible. It is in a super cute neighborhood with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. I have been working at San Francisco Opera since I've been here, and the walk was so easy-25 mins to and from. She also has a piano and I was able to sing in the house with no issue! The house itself had everything I needed (including a cute puppy to cuddle with!) and was charming, clean and well decorated. Antigone is a dream host-she is kind, considerate, and so helpful. I have made a friend in the process of staying here. I cannot recommend her home enough-I hope to rent from her again if I work for SFO in the future, or even if I just come for a visit!!! If you are spending extended time in San Fran, I highly recommend booking this listing!!!! I wish I could give her 50 stars!

  • I enjoyed my stay with Antigone and Victor very much, and I highly recommend their place. Great part of town - many food spots, coffee shops, yoga/exercise places. You name it, good time all around

  • Hosts like Jessica & Mark make stay on Airbnb the best it can be. They made our stay extremely comfortable, made sure we have everything we might need, gave all the recommendations and went over the top to help & assist whenever needed. The apartment and room itself was sparkling clean, in a safe & cool Mission neighbourhood ( plenty of hip shops, restaurants and bars) and comes with the extra comfy bed. The apartment consists of other private rooms as well for other Airbnb guests. Overall just perfect for the stay in the heart of Mission and SF in general.

  • Very practical place to stay over during your visit to San Francisco There are about 3-4 other similar rooms, sharing common spaces. There is a very spacious kitchen with lots of amenities and available food, and also very convenient laundry room. There is a storage room with available bottled water, free toiletries, soaps, etc. Everything to make your stay stress free and comfortable. Jessica is perfect with communications and she shared lots of valuable local tips which were very helpful to explore the city.

    Daniel2019-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The stay was fantastic! It's a lovely place. There are communal spaces so if you'd rather not see anyone it's not for you but I felt very comfortable with the people there and there are private locks on all rooms. Everything was comfy and clean. The I'd recommend staying there!

  • I had a great time!

    Manuel2019-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed for 6 nights and had a very good time. The bed was very comfortable, the flat was quiet. Everything is made to make it easy for you: check in, coffee, breakfast, a cupboard full of stuff you might have forgotten to bring with you. Jessica checked in with me to make sure that I had everything I needed and respected my privacy otherwise. The location is good, buses, muni and Bart all around, it was very easy for me to both attend the conference in Soma I was attending and play the tourist the rest of the time. I definitely recommend staying here!

THIS ROOM IS FOR SINGLE OCCUPANCY ONLY. This room faces the street and has a queen-sized bed (memory foam), desk w/ chair, and closet. THERE IS A NOISE from passing traffic. !! PLEASE DO NOT book this room if you are a light sleeper and are disturbed by the San Francisco’s passing cars and street noise. There are 3 large windows that let in plenty of sunshine, but shades to block out the sun.
Our place has 4Bedrooms/2 Bathrooms and is in the heart of the Mission, which is San Francisco’s oldest neighborhood and has plenty of new restaurants and galleries. 3 of the rooms are available on Airbnb.
Boasting some of the best weather in the city, the Mission District takes advantage of an abundance of fog-free days. New restaurants and night spots are a draw while Mission Dolores, 16th and Dolores streets, is the oldest structure in San Francisco. Many of the city’s pioneers are buried in an adjacent cemetery. The largest concentration of murals in the city adorn buildings, fences and walls throughout the district. Everything is easily accessible: restaurants, museums, waterfront, shopping -- plus so much more this amazing city has to offer. We're just a short walk to the Castro, Noe Valley, Bernal Heights, and all the nightlife of SoMa. With two BART stations, easy access to the rest of the city, wide bike paths and a rich arts and food culture, it’s easy to see why the Mission is appealing to longtime
  • The room was comfortable and clean, although a little noisy! (understandable given the streetside). The house facilities are very good, big and nice kitchen! The location of the flat is handy, near to public transportation and also to walk around. Wouldn't recommend to women alone to come back walking alone at night (homeless people in the streets around can be a little intimidating). The hosts are kind and helpful if you need them! Thanks for everything!

    Carina2018-06-05T00:00:00Z
  • I could not have asked for a better place to stay. This is what "home" feels like. Great people and amazing city. Always felt included and always willing to help or direct in what you want to do while you are here. Highly recommend!!! Love this place.

    Michael2018-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Pete and Ivan's place is in a great, central location in the Mission and was a super comfortable home base to return to at the end of the day. I stayed in the room with the bay window, and while I didn't find it too noisy (I tend to prefer a little street noise), there was a noise machine/earplugs/fans for light sleepers. Also, the bed was extremely comfortable! The whole house was quiet, clean and tidy, and the private rooms have their own locks. While I didn't actually meet the hosts, all communication was very prompt and clear, so I never felt concerned or worried about my stay. I would definitely stay here again!

    Kaitlin2017-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • I found the accommodation extremely clean and the location is very convenient. If I'll go back to SF, I'll probably go at Pete and Ivan's place again. Tip: in front of the apartment there's a pub with amazing breakfast burritos!

    Maicol2018-05-06T00:00:00Z
  • Pete and Ivan were great hosts, very welcoming and helpful. The apartment and room were lovely and clean. We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Thank you for your hospitality!

  • What a great place to stay! Awesome location, communication and welcome. Loved it!

  • I stayed two nights as a base to explore the city. I didn't spend a lot of time in the house but it was everything I needed/wanted. Privacy, super comfortable bed (memory foam mattress), clean, quiet and amazing location. I rented a car to see national parks so the Enterprise up the street & being on close(ish) to the Golden Gate Bridge was nice. I fell in love with the Mission neighborhood. Endless good restaurants super close by. Highly recommend

  • Pete and Ivan are great hosts: they were welcoming, friendly and helpful. Their place is extremely clean and cozy, kitchen and bathrooms are renovated with taste and I overall had a great stay. Absolutely recommended.

I have another bedroom (with private bath), also listed: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/774323 Location is excellent, near the trendy Valencia Street corridor, with great transit. I have menus from most of the restaurants on Valencia between 16th and 18th for you to preview. NOTE: Our Hetch Hetchy/Yosemite water tests better than most paid-for-by-the-bottle water. • What a fantastic little home in a quiet street tucked away from the busy Mission District area! We absolutely adored Jan's fur-baby, Thriller and enjoyed our conversations with Jan throughout our stay. A great location, comfortable and thoughtful home, and wonderful host.

  • We really enjoy our stay at Jan's home! Jan is a surprising woman with a lot of positive energy. Very friendly and generous. She gave us good advices to visit San Francisco. The apartment is very nice and clean and our room very comfortable. The position is fantastic! High recommended.

The apartment is comfortable and located in a great area well connected with Bus and BART, and full of restaurants and bars. If you want to explore San Francisco, this is a very good place to stay! Thanks Jan and Thriller!

  • Had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The room was clean and well lit with a comfortable bed. The home is nicely decorated and Jan is a delightful and relaxed host. She and I enjoyed some fun conversations over coffee and her knowledge of the city is extensive. Loved it!

  • Jan is a very welcoming host. She lives in a central location, in a very pleasant and comfortable apartment. Good value in San Francisco.

    Michael2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at Jan's house was great. The location was very convenient, close to lots of cool bars and beautiful restaurants. Transport was easy, with a bus stop close by that took about 30 mins to get into places like Fisherman's Wharf. There is Mission Park just around the corner that offers a pretty great view of the city and seems to be a great chill out area for all kinds. I really enjoyed my stay! Also the cat Thriller was very friendly, I enjoyed giving him pats!

A newly remodeled apartment centrally located in the hip Mission district; San Francisco's most lively neighborhood.
A recently remodeled, spacious and private 1 bedroom apartment with all modern amenities; radiant floor heating, adjustable LED lighting, smart TV, WiFi, and full kitchen with brand-new appliances. A secure private gated entry and access to a private outdoor garden chill-space make this the perfect quiet getaway in the midst of the Mission bustle. Plenty of pillows, soft cotton sheets, a down duvet, and a new queen size memory foam mattress make for a great nights sleep. The bathroom is stocked with towels, bathrobes, and shampoo/conditioner/soap. There is coffee and tea as well as fresh fruit provided for the morning, and a bottle of wine to unwind in the evening.
Located in the heart of the Mission which is a colorful, diverse, and historical neighborhood of the City. We are in the “sunbelt” of SF with the warmest and best weather. . A true walkers paradise as everything you could want is within a few block radius. Bars, cafes, incredible restaurants, vintage shops and boutiques abound in each direction. The Mission is a destination neighborhood for dining and nightlife. I provide a guide with my top local picks, but am also happy to give personalized recommendations for you. I could go on, but in a nutshell; it doesn't get any better than this for San Francisco living.
  • This space is as awesome in real life as the photos and reviews make it out to be here in the review section. It's easy to see how the hosts have acquired Super Host status as they are communicative, friendly, and have a great space that will make you feel like you're a local. It's mind-blowing to be able to stay so near to Dolores Park, BART, about 6 different yoga studios, great food - Four Barrel coffee - all the things. I will most definitely be staying here again soon.

    Benjamin2018-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • The location was fantastic. And the space was clean, comfortable and private. I enjoyed having such a large space for one person and a kitchen, as I was on a long international work trip. It felt like a large hotel suite. The shower was really nice, too! It is perfectly clean, but beginning to show a bit of wear around the edges - nothing major - I'm sure it's just rented out most of the time! I'd highly recommend Stephen's space, and hope to return again next time I am in town.

    Courtney2019-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • Stephen's place was great! Stephen was responsive and his place was modern and very clean. The bedroom floor is heated which is a wonderful little luxury, though the unit is not cold. I had a great stay!

    Rashmi2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Steve's place was perfect! The location is ideal for exploring the Mission and all over SF. Close to all of the action, but also on a quiet side street. Steve was very helpful and quick to communicate with. The place was super clean and looked just like the photos. Overall, great experience!

    Joel & Mary2016-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The place was exactly as described. Clean and close to all the Mission area has to offer. We were able to walk everywhere. Steve was an awesome host and even checked in on us to make sure we had all we needed.

    Andrew2016-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Steve's place was fantastic, as was Steve. We found the location spot on for the Mission, so good we spent a whole day just wandering the mission. I'd suggest some small home improvements - a place to hang a towel and a drying rack for the kitchen, but these things would definitely not stop me from coming back. Also ask Steve for his recommendations - we found them to be a wonderful guide. Thanks again, Steve!

    Kelly2016-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in Rebeka's home. The location was very convenient-there were tons of restaurants and bars right nearby, along with all of the Mission District to explore. The interior was very stylish, and the checkin/checkout process incredibly easy. There was street parking nearby as well which was a plus! Definitely a good choice to stay if you are in the area.

    Nathaniel2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Steve's place was great. It was clean and in walking distance to restaurants and bars in the area. Steve was very accommodating to make an awesome night possible after I proposed to my now fiancé.

Enjoy a luxurious stay in this private 1Bed/1Bath suite in an historic 1912 building. Perfectly located between the Castro and the Mission, walk to all the restaurants, entertainment, shopping, and amenities that these neighborhoods have to offer.
This 1 bed/1 bath suite is on the first floor (up one flight of stairs from the street). The suite was beautifully remodeled in 2012 while still retaining 1912 details such as cove ceilings, hardwood floors and period woodwork. The bedroom features a queen-size bed with luxurious bedding, ample closet space and a bay window with seating that overlooks 17th Street. The bathroom includes a hand shower, tub, towels and organic bath supplies. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom for those rare hot days and wall heater in the hall for the cooler months. The suite also has high-speed WiFi and Cable HDTV with hundreds of channels. There is no kitchen, but there is a food preparation area that includes a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and electric kettle. Of course, there are many restaurants, cafes and coffee shops nearby -- check the guidebook for our recommendations.
Mission Dolores is centrally located between the Castro and the Mission. It includes Mission Dolores -- the oldest building in San Francisco, and Dolores Park -- one of the most popular parks in the city. As you may know, the Castro (centered 4 blocks west) is the historic gay center of San Francisco -- it features restaurants, bars, the Castro Theater, shopping, and an ever-increasing number of coffee shops and day spas. The Mission (centered 3 blocks east) is a historically Latino neighborhood. It, too, features restaurants, bars, the Roxie Theater, shopping and an ever-increasing number of coffee shops and boutiques.
  • We really enjoyed staying in this beautiful suite! Marc was an excellent host and very accommodating. This place is steps from Delores Park and countless other gems in the city. We enjoyed our stay and know that countless other Airbnb-ers will in the future.

  • The apartment was clean and comfortable, and is located on a quiet street about halfway between the Mission and Castro neighborhoods. It's also about a 10 minute walk to the 16th St. BART station. It's very easy to get around.

  • Amazing suite in a perfect location! This is a great spot for business or vacation travelers alike. I was there on business for 2 days and it fit my needs perfectly. The space is beautiful, re-done, comfortable. Right on Dolores Park and such a better neighborhood to stay in vs some of the more busy, touristy areas. Cannot recommend highly enough!

  • Tiny flat in a great location in the heart of SF. A stone's throw from the wonderful Mission Delores park, and a short walk to the BART. Parking was VERY difficult, only 2-hour metered parking is available, so be prepared to move your car frequently or put it in a lot. Otherwise perfect neighborhood, very clean accommodation, with comfy bed. The only draw back is the apartment is super small, basically a bedroom and a bathroom and little else.

My very ordinary apartment is in the Mission District, which, IMHO, is the best place in San Francisco! It's full of shops and restaurants. The BART Train is 3 blocks away. You can take the train or walk everywhere in San Francisco. Some of my guests walk, and walk and walk! There's so much to see! The Mission is also famous for the high number of homeless people living on the street. Nothing to be scared of but.... Checkin in 3-7pm. Check out 11am. Great place to sleep. STR (Phone number hidden by Airbnb)
Very ordinary apartment. Really well located to walk or public transport your way around San Francisco.
I live in the Mission, the hippest place in San Francisco! My apartment is in the heart of everything and it's easy and quick to get to. Either walking or on the BART train. See my Guidebook for lots of cool places to visit. It's also a neighborhood that has a LOT of homeless people; this is shocking, particularly to Europeans. San Francisco's homeless population is more than 30% veterans. They are often mentally ill and certainly messy, but nothing to be afraid of.

  • We were well welcomed, even in the middle of the afternoon and the communication was very good. Joanne was very nice. The location is quite good, we had buses and BART station. I recommend this hostess. Marie-Astrid

  • This room is nice and in a really good location. As a few other reviews have noted, it is noisy but this comes with the place being really central. We walked almost everywhere! Make sure you read the house rules well. You’re not able to use the kitchen which is noted there.

  • fantastic location and great price for this very comfortable private room

  • The description that Joanne makes of the neighborhood is very accurate: it is a noisy area and it's full of homeless people who sleep under your window. So be prepared for that. The house, the room and the bathroom are in perfect conditions, and Joanne was there when we needed her (we forgot the keys inside the house and couldn't get in, and she came to rescue us),also she recommended us places to visit and eat. San Francisco is a very nice city and great to walk.

Sink into an armchair next to floor-to-ceiling corner windows and admire sweeping city views. Explore the vibrant neighborhood shops and eateries in the heart of the Mission. Crisp blue-and-white bed linens and blond timber floors accentuate the cool and refreshing vibe.
It's an exceptional spot for San Francisco in that it combines spectacular views with a central, fun location. It offers both great transportation options and awesome neighborhood choices in a modern, well-appointed setting.
The apartment is in the Mission District, close to trendy Valencia Street. Walk Score and Transit Score are both a perfect 100. It's an easy walk to Tartine Bakery, Mission Dolores, local taquerias, a beer garden, shops, and Little Star Pizza.
  • Awesome spot! Amazing view and location. Would recommend!

  • Jesse’s place was wonderful and a great location to access everything in San Fran! I absolutely loved the views and the beautiful piano in the living room. I would recommend his place to anyone if they’ll be in town. Thank you Jesse for providing me with the list of places and things to do! We definitely used it while we were there. Cheers, Juwell

  • Jesse's place is as described. Jesse is an attentive host, yet very unobtrusive. his apartment is new, very comfortable and well decorated with great views. The bedroom is a little small but has everything you need. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is huge. All is very clean. The elevator to the 5th floor is a big plus as many San Fran Airbnb rentals are 3rd-floor walk-ups. The location is great, lot's of good restaurants nearby including a vegetarian sushi restaurant downstairs. They do not take reservations and the line starts at 4:45 pm before they open at 5pm. The food is amazing. Jesse's apartment is 3 blocks from the 16th and Mission Bart station which makes it easy to get to from the airport as well as getting downtown and to Moscone Center. I will definitely stay again the next time I am in town.

  • Jesse’s apartment looked even better in person than in the pictures. It was very bright, spacious, and inviting. I have not met Jesse in person throughout my stay but he was very responsive to my messages if I had any questions. I would definitely stay at Jesse’s place again and would recommend it to all of my close friends.

  • We stayed here for a full week on a congress trip. Nice apartment on a great location! Very happy with our choice :)

    Katja2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jesse is a wonderful host - responsive and easy to talk to. The location is in the Mission so it gets loud on the weekends, but overall, allowed me to travel to and fro easily. Definitely a gem!

  • Jesse is a warm and gracious host, providing quick detailed communications, wonderful suggestions for outings and restaurants and activities...he absolutely helped make our stay amazing!!!

  • Great place to stay in a neighbourhood that isn’t necessarily close to all the classic sightseeing spots. Lots of great food and entertainment around

  • Jim and Deb were wonderful hosts! We coordinated over text to ensure that there'd be someone home for me to check-in with around 5:30pm that evening. Deb gave me a brief tour of the space and there were fresh cookies, yogurt, granola and other treats that they had prepared as well. Although I'm familiar with SF, the two were generous with their time and offered suggestions and had a whole basket of suggestions for guests. Thank you for a lovely stay. I especially loved the scent of jasmine wafting in from the patio.

  • My experience with the Dolores Terrace Hidden Gem was excellent. The space looks as nice as the pictures and we had everything we needed. Deborah and Jim are both very responsive, and they let us have our privacy when we want. The homemade cookies were delicious, thank you! Both the bathroom and bedroom are clean (this is a big plus for me). The location is also perfect, just steps to all popular streets in the Missions, and only 2 blocks away from the beautiful Dolores park. I highly recommend staying here because of both the quality of the space and the service.

  • We couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay in the whole of San Francisco - thank you Deborah and Jim! When we first looked for accommodation all we found was overpriced hotels with shared bathrooms, then we came across this gem. It’s so comfortable and the hosts have thought of everything - even homemade cookies. There’s a hot tub in an oasis of a garden too and the street is so peaceful. Mission is a great district with loads of fab places to eat and drink. We would love to come back and would recommend highly!

  • Wonderful spot in a dreamy neighborhood. I'd stay here again for sure.

    Jeff2018-01-25T00:00:00Z
  • The place is tiny but location is unbeatable. All amenities and furniture are of a high quality and it feels like home. Deb and Jim are great hosts.

    Mikhail2017-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Deb and Jim were perfect hosts. Deb contacted us a few days before our trip to give us some details for the arrival. Upon arrival in SF everything went very smooth. Jim welcomed us at the apartment and showed us around. The room is very nice and has a comfortable bed, HBO TV and a good separate bathroom. Deb and Jim had also prepared some cookies and provided snacks, coffee and further tourist information. The apartment is perfectly located in the trendy mission district, close to dolores park. You will find lots of restaurants, cafes etc. and only few tourists. On our first day, Jim also gave us some really good tips for our stay in SF and recommendations for restaurants etc. Jim and Deb were really nice and we felt very comfortable staying at their place. We would absolutely recommend this place for visits to SF and would be happy to stay there again.
