Bright and breezy single room in riverside apartment. Direct access to private balcony with stunning views of the river Thames and Greenwich Park. The apartment is located in a new building on a quiet street 10 minutes walk from the historic town center. There are local shops, pubs and a variety of good restaurants within walking distance. The O2 arena is a short bus ride away. Transport links are excellent with direct rail, Underground and DLR services to central London (approx 10 minutes).
The apartment is bright and spacious with floor to ceiling windows and great views. There is very little traffic in the neighbourhood so it's generally very quiet with the only disturbance being the occasional boat passing by on the river. Cruise ships pass by the building on their way to dock in Greenwich and the famous tall ships can be seen several times a year.
Greenwich is world famous for its architecture and tourist attractions including the Old Naval College (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, Greenwich Park and the Royal Observatory. All the major sites are less than a 15 minute walk from the apartment. Away from the tourist sites the area is mostly quiet and residential with traditional Georgian terraced streets. The Thames Path is only a few meters from the building. Greenwich town center has a lively nightlife at weekends with numerous bars and restaurants. Many pubs in the area host live music and the O2 arena has major events several nights each week.
  • I got lost, and John kindly came to find me. Study the map before you go! Lovely room in a lovely apartment. The balcony and view are a huge bonus. I really enjoyed sitting outside after a busy day in London.

  • The place was good, as much as you can expect from a Hostel, yet the best part was the staff, super friendly bunch of people and great vibe on everyone who works there, can’t see how they manage given that they are under staffed and getting paid £7.55 per hour (I asked)

  • Eva is perfect host i've ever met! She is really kind and considerate of me. Eva always asked me if I needed anything or if I felt uncomfortable. We had talking a lot about life and I learned a lot from her, who is also a mother and a woman. I really appreciate Eva. You are soooo sweet:) The house is really clean, cozy and pretty. And cat is so cute. Location is also perfect. Tube station, train station, Greenwich park, Greenwich market and tesco ,sainsbury's,M&S and Coop all of these near from this perfect house. I'd like to use this place even if I come back to London. Thank u Eva Miss U:)) I truly recommend this house!!

This space is very private on the top floor of a town house. There are two bedrooms comprising one double bed and two single beds. (Or can be set up as two double beds). There is a bathroom - for your own personal use only - you can access from the landing. Rooms have a Smart TV and Freeview TV available. The space includes a small utility room that has a washing machine, fridge and microwave for simple snacks. Crockery and Cutlery are provided. There is also a small hospitality tray for tea and coffee. For parties of five or six guests, there is a third room on the second floor. However, Please make sure you first check the availability of the third bedroom before booking, thank you.

  • Super host with great communication, always very helpful and fast replies also in advance of the trip. Even offered to pick us up at the tube station on arrival. While there, we got all the help and tipps we needed, even some household items we forgot, and an oyster card a former guest kindly left behind. Saved us some trips and cost. Thank you! We had the third floor to ourself with two spotlessly clean rooms and a small kitchen with everything we needed. Great new bathroom with both shower and tub! Very warm, so we had the windows open at all times. I assume it will be nice and cosy in winter, which is not a given in rooftop rooms. Pretty soft matresses, which is not so much to my liking, but I realize that tastes differ where beds are concerned. Location is absolutely fabulous, of course. Walking distance to everywhere, with maximum of 10 minutes to Greenwich center and the river bus. Bus connection to nearest underground station is 3 minutes away. The street itself is very quiet and purely residential. Next pub 1 minute. I would love to return to Kevin and Elaine :)

  • Great location for Greenwich, would definitely stay again!

    Bela2018-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We love staying at Kevin's place and the location was great even so it is not that close to the downtown, but that makes it even better experience riding the bus or boat. We stayed on the upper floor and it was a bit too warm but had a fan to help us out at night. I would definitely stay here again!

    Flavius2018-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • The location is perfect - a quiet area with a beautiful park next door and the Cutty Sark and the Greenwich observatory and (great) museum a few minutes' walk. Easy journey from the Eurostar. If you can afford the riverboat (30+ pounds for a family for the whole day), travelling into the centre of London is very easy, fast and fun. The accommodation was clean and well-equipped and the host was welcoming.

    Susan2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed our stay at Kevin's apartment. It's very close to all the sights of Greenwich and we had the benefit of the secure parking space that can save significant money in London. The apartment is very clean and everything is provided that you could possibly wish for. Kevin is a very attentive host and was there in case we needed anything, not that we did. Highly recommended, thank you.

    Graeme2018-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • I can highly recommend the accommodation. Lovely rooms and the kitchenette was a useful space. Great location for exploring London. So convenient for the O2, 10 minutes away on a local bus. Kevin was really friendly and helpful.

    Lisa2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin and Elaine were great hosts! The location is perfect and the space is an incredible value. Each morning, we walked through the park to the to the center of Greenwich and either grabbed a ferry or the DLR to anywhere we needed to go. Kevin was also helpful in getting us to/from the airport and offering suggestions of places to eat/shop/things to do. We will definitely stay there again next time we are in London.

  • Hi guys. I wanted to leave a review to let everyone know about my first stay in an AirBnB. Yes, pictures on these sites can be deceiving I am learning. We had a problem with the shower the first 2 nights. You have to pull the middle metal REALLY hard upwards to get it to change from a bath to a shower. Another thing is for over 24 hours we had ice cold water. Milo was informed and did fix it by the time we got home the next night to stay. Uh, I would suggest bringing towels because the ones provided were crusty. I am thankful we did cause I would not dry myself with the ones provided. Milo said he never got a complaint about it before but that doesnt change that I told him. Another main issue, there is NO trash can in the bathroom, at all! Females, if your on your monthly time (as I was) you have to walk all the way downstairs to the kitchen and throw it in that trash can, which fills quickly because there is 3 other rooms being used while you are there. Only other thing is theres no AC here so it gets hot, fast. I was basically wearing nothing almost it was so hot in there. The closest train station is a good 20-25 minute walk too. If you dont mind people, walking and no AC with a shared bathroom and trash can in the bathroom, id suggest staying here. Other than that, I would not.

    Marilena2019-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Prompt, easy and efficient communication with Milo. The room was specious, bed was really comfortable and everything was really clean and tidy. Location is great , close to DLR and busses, 15 min walk to canary wharf. The street is quiet so we had a good night sleep. We were offered free parking next to the house and milo even allowed us to use the parking the next day after check out. Overall we had a great stay and we will be deffinitelly returning.

Modern new house, in a trendy neighbourhood. The house is situated in a residential enclosure. Canary Wharf financial centre, shopping mall, the O2 arena, Greenwich park and Westfield Stratford shopping mall area all within a 10 minutes train ride.

  • Sersh’s place was a good place. The only problem was other people living in the house used to drink and then talk very loudly until late nights which was bothersome and scary. Apart from that it is a good place and value for money.

    ZohairAli2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay with Sersh was easy and comfortable. We arrived in the early evening because of a missed flight and even though Sersh was at work he had organised on of his friends to come and meet us and give the tour. The room and entire house was clean, simple and welcoming. The friends were helpful with places to eat and visit while we were in the area.

    Kendall2017-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • This room is perfectly located in London, near Canary Wharf. The main problem we faced was the goings and comings all nights long (because the room is next to the house door). Then, when we arrived in the room there was a disgusting smelling. It was just because the room was not airy, but it was really nauseous. Before the cleaner came (the second day), the bathroom was not clean at all. Apart from that, we tried to enjoy our week-end.

We welcome visitors from all backgrounds. One flatmate (that's me, leaseholder) studying for Masters in Finance, and another, Jana, lectures at Greenwich University. It's a cute (i.e. small room) for the budget traveller. You have access to living room and kitchen, and obviously we have Wifi. Large ceilings (used to be a pub) so you won't feel cramped. Surrounded by Maratime Museum, Naval College. And 7min walk to DLR and Cutty Sark. Great location. Awesome!
  • The room is small but cozy and clean. Patrick is very friendly and enjoyable conversation. The location is perfect. I would recommend here very much.

  • Great location! It was the perfect place as I was studying at the University. Patrick is a very helpful host too.

  • I really enjoyed my stay here and would gladly love to return the next time I'm in London. The location is wonderful, right next to The Old Naval College which is right along the Thames, and various pubs, shops, cafes, and is very close to public transportation . And Patrick is the perfect friendly host who makes you feel welcome and is ready to assist you and to make sure you are comfortable during your stay.

    Richard2019-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick is a very hospitable host and goes out of his way to accommodate his guest. A nice comfy bed and I slept surprisingly well in spite of being in a new place. It is all one needs for a stay in Greenwich as it is right on top of Greenwich Uni and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance which was super handy for my needs. His flat mate Christopher was also lovely to chat to. I made two new friends, actually three including the cat Rosie, one of the reasons I chose to stay there! Thank you very much for everything :) =^^=

  • Yunqiao replied really fast to my messages and was very kind. I had a nice stay, the neighbourhood area was super cute and nice to walk around. The pipes in the building made some lound noise, which was quite annoying during the night time - you might want to grab some earplugs with you.

    Petra2019-04-24T00:00:00Z

    Su Jen2019-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • Is not a private room. Is a couch in the middle of the kitchen. No privacy of course as people who live there need to use the kitchen and the living area. Although the location is good and the girl who I was in contact with was very quick and accommodating with check in and out.

    Adriana2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • I had a wonderful time in London and especially because of Yunqiao! She showed me some really nice spots and I enjoyed the time! She is a lovely host and I am glad that I choose her apartment to stay. Thank you so much!

Beautiful and bright south-facing room in a historic house which fronts the Thames. Easy access to the O2, Excel, Canary Wharf, Greenwich, City of London. Perfect for work trips, gigs at the O2 and short getaways. Top Features: * Much-loved house with heaps of period charm * Original Georgian features with a garden backing onto the river * Welcoming and attentive hostess living on site Have a look at our other (Website hidden by Airbnb)
Come and relax in this hidden historic gem which is incredibly close to Canary Wharf and the O2, and brilliantly connected on public transport - like the Jubilee Line, DLR and frequent buses. Chill out with a glass of wine in the garden and feed the swans. Or why not try a yoga class, with the sights and fresh smells of the clean River Thames. Or you could stroll down the cobbled road in the footsteps of Charles Dickens and Admiral Lord Nelson, and visit historic Greenwich just across the river. We are a minute's walk away from The Gun, one of the capital's top gastropubs. Breakfast: We offer a self-service breakfast with the usual ingredients - coffee, tea, toast, cereal and so on. Your hostess: Yoga and meditation teacher Hajnalka Wray who's originally from South Africa is both welcoming and attentive.
We're in the perfect location for easy access to the O2, city and Greenwich. Canary Wharf is on our doorstep with restaurants and luxury shopping. Greenwich Royal Park, Cutty Sark, Greenwich Foot Tunnel, Greenwich Timeline and the O2 are across the river, Shoreditch, Bricklane and Spitalfields are 30 minutes away, as is central London. Coldharbour is a conservation area of Blackwall on the Isle of Dogs lying on the north bank of the River Thames, east of Canary Wharf. The area is said to be "the sole remaining fragment of the old hamlet of Blackwall" and "one of the last examples of the narrow streets which once characterised the river's perimeter". Charles Dickens is reported to have been a regular patron of the Fishing Smack, "one of the quaint old taverns by the river still standing in Coldharbour." He wrote about the area after visiting it in May 1853. The Fishing Smack public house stood at 9 Coldharbour and was demolished about 1948, though "a section of the brown glazed brickwork which was once part of the street front survives at the south corner of No. 7." Lord Nelson's association with the area is preserved in the name of Horatio Place. Local tradition claims that Nelson stayed at Nelson House at no. 3 Coldharbour "during a fleet refit”. The Gun pub at no. 27 Coldharbour claims an upstairs room was used by Nelson to meet Emma, Lady Hamilton.
  • The room is sweet and the place was clean. Phillip has clear and easy instructions on how to use the space and though other guests weren’t following them, he and his partner made sure things remained clean and organized. The patio is prettier in person and folks were respectful and quiet out there. A lovely stay and easy access to the thick of things if you like pleasant walks and are a fan of public transportation. The bed was awful until we put the mattress on the floor (bent frame) but they’ll replace it. Overall a good stay.

  • Comfortable and convenient place with magnificent view!

    Maria2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place as to be the oddest air bnb that we have ever stayed in. Could t help but feel that we were staying in some sort of halfway house with permanent tenants. The location, host and price are good, but the photos definitely make it look nicer than it actually is. once inside you can’t help but notice how grubby the place is: dirty shower, broken towel rail, no lamp in the rooms just gloomy ceiling lights, stale smelling bed linen, bugs in the sauce pans, mice running across the kitchen top (!), slugs on the kitchen counter - the list goes on. Had we known we would have paid a bit more to stay somewhere nicer and cleaner. I hate to give a bad review as the host was pleasant, but this place gets two thumbs down.

    Bex2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is lovely! Beautiful location and nice garden where you can see a lovely view of the Thames and the 02 Arena. Hosts are so kind and inviting. Would highly recommend staying here if you’re in London.

  • Had an absolutely lovely stay here! What a beautiful little gem hidden away in the chaos of London! Super helpful and friendly host, nothing was too much trouble. We loved being literally right on the river too! Would 100% come here again. Thank you for sharing your home with us :)!

Private double room with super king size bed (the image shown is of a previous king size bed but the one in the room now is bigger) with private en-suite bathroom in my apartment in lovely Greenwich. Clean bed linen and towels provided. Wifi is available and parking for a small daily fee on the grounds of the building depending on availability. Please understand this is not the entire apartment to yourself, I also live here in another room unless I am away.
The bedroom is a decent size with an en-suite shower room / WC. The apartment door opens up onto a communal terrace. The apartment itself is equipped with all modern appliances and fibre optic wifi. On the first floor above street level with a lift so wheelchair accessible or easy for those less mobile or with heavy luggage. The nearest station is two minutes from the apartment for easy access to central London. There is parking available for a fee of £10 per day You will note that I am high on the thousands of airbnb listings in the whole of London and this is because I offer reasonable prices, an excellent response rate and have only ever had positive reviews. This is reflected in the fact I have superhost status with Airbnb. I can guarantee you a very comfortable and relaxing space to stay here in London. Please, I only accept bookings through airbnb.
Greenwich is a world heritage site and an area of historical interest and where the Greenwich Mean Time and the Meridian Line is set. Our famous landmarks include the Cutty Sark, the National Maritime Museum, the Royal Observatory, and Sir Christopher Wren’s Old Royal Naval College. Only 20 minutes from Central London, Greenwich is easy to reach by Docklands Light Railway, overground rail, bus and even riverboat. We have an excellent green space by way of our large park, together with a terrific market and lots of quirky shops and places to eat. The Greenwich market is famous in London.

    Vinaxi2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great flat: the bed is huge. The memory foam mattress is pretty comfortable. The en-suite is a good size with a large shower cubicle. There's only a rain-shower but it's hot. There is construction going on in the neighbourhood, and the main bedroom is above the road, so there's some noise but with earplugs I slept quite well. I only saw Russell at checkout as I was very busy, but he seemed friendly. Would recommend.

  • Russell's place is very smart and clean. His flat is situated in Greenwich, really close to the DLR underground and to the centre of Greenwich, which is also famous for a very nice market on Saturdays. The zone is quiet except for some noises due to traffic. First, I personally had some troubles finding the apartment, but after asking Russell, he promptly sent me the position and I could find the place very easily. Russell is very nice, he gave me some precious advice and let us use the entire place when he was away. For us it was perfect considering our 3 days there.

    Giada2018-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • Russel and Alex were very friendly. Russel was very quick at responding questions and it was really comfortable. The house is not located at right at central London, but it's very close to London Bridge by national rail train by 5-10 min, but I recommend you to check time for the train by (Hidden by Airbnb) map, because there is a regulated time for a train to come at certain hour. Greenwich town was lovely. There are convenient markets around the house, and there are lots of shops including vintage market to Greenwich Pier. I recommend to walk to Greenwich pier and ride the boat, because it's a nice experience. Russel and Alex were very friendly, and very helpful. Thank you very much!

Also ideal for a romantic getaway or for a business trip. Luggage drop off allowed after 11.30am.
The space is a large studio consisting of: > A sleeping area with a double bed. > A small separate living area. The sofa can be converted into an additional single bed if needed. > Dining table for up to three people. > Kitchenette equipped with microwave, oven, stove, kettle and dishwasher. > Bathroom with shower. > Washing machine, dryer, iron & ironing board. High quality towels, bed linens and black out curtains ensure that you feel comfortable in this space.
Canary Wharf is a busy financial area filled with skyscrapers like the glittering One Canada Square. Canada Square Park hosts summer concerts and a winter ice-skating rink, while the Museum of London Docklands draws families with model ships and hands-on displays. Casual cafes bustle during the day and, come evening, post-work crowds gather in stylish wine bars and pubs. Ferries called Thames Clippers ply the river. The O2 arena is only one stop away, the ExCel London is also really close.
  • Good studio flat, very clean in a quiet area and very close to canary wharf and to a number of DLR stations. Would make a good base for someone working in canary wharf or wishing to explore London.

  • The best thing about this listing is the location which is 4-5 mins walk away from Crossharbour station . Also being in Zone 2 very centrally located. Absolutely love the canary wharf area. The room is good enough for couples/single/working professionals on short trips . The house and room access is through security codes which makes it easy to self check-in with no dependency on a physical key. Overall value for money.

  • Decent low budget London air bnb. Close to Crossharbour DLR. ideal for Canary Wharf just a few stops away. The walk to the flat takes ten mins. The flat building doesn’t have a name sign on it, so it’s not easy to find. And it’s behind a small alleyway, like a bin shed or garages. So I wasn’t happy to walk through here in the dark at night trying to find the flat door. The area around the flat has CCTV cameras looking at the row of shops, so I was worried about safety. When entering, you must turn the door handle left instantly after putting in the key code, it took a few attempts, not ideal stood in the street in the dark. Same for bedroom door. The bedroom itself is very clean. Towels provided. Nice balcony. Nice room! The toilet was very clean and true bathroom was clean too. The shower had no pressure, it was like a few raindrops. This is a cheap price for London and great location for Canary Wharf - an option if you have a low budget, it’s clean and does the job!

  • Highly recommended! Everything was perfect. Thank you very much for your kindness and hospitality! I had an unfortunate personal situation - to which Roger attended and adjusted with understanding, answering many of my questions (with patience! Thank you!). Great area. Superbly explained. Fantastic breakfast. A true gem!

    Karolina2017-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • The studio is very well equipped with everything needed for a short stay. Roger is very welcoming but privacy is respected. The studio is as described, very well designed with good use of space, its nice to have some garden space too. Breakfasts are lovely with plenty of choice particularly liked the fresh berries. The area is very quiet but nice pubs and shops in vicinity, short walk to station for easy access to central London and Greenwich park is at end of street. Plenty to do in Greenwich, we enjoyed visiting the Royal Observatory and Planetarium and walking in the park. We also enjoyed great pub meal at the Union bar on Royal Hill close to the Studio. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

    Sylvia2016-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Roger's place is perfect! Lots of historic charm and decorated with interesting artworks; great kitchen - fully stocked any utensil you would need to cook (plus milk, butter, yogurt, juice and granola); modern bathroom with a wonderful shower; lots of natural light; plenty of books, games and many other items throughout the place you might find useful but not have packed - umbrellas, walking sticks, totes. Location is great too, with lots of public transport options within easy access. Loved staying at Rogers place for a week stay in Greenwich.

    Jill2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • Really unique place, and great if you are in for quiet days around Greenwich.

    Caitlin2018-04-16T00:00:00Z

  • Roger's Studio in Greenwich is a real home-from-home, perfect for a couple or a family of 3. It contains everything needed for a comfortable stay, including daily breakfast with fresh bread, croissants or danishes. We loved staying in Greenwich, which has a friendly village feel but is convenient for all modes of transport to wherever you want to go in England and in central London. We would definitely stay there again.

    Beverley2017-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • The eco studio in Greenwich is a perfect oasis in great neighbourhood. I use AirBnB a lot and have stayed in many great places, but even by the standards of the best, Roger's studio and the care with which he looks after guests are a stand-out. Highlights: incredibly high design standards and well thought-through use of space / lovely retro furniture / wonderful breakfast and treats / excellent music system / super-handy for good restaurants and pubs. Downsides: we could only stay for three days...

I had everything I asked for, and some more : the room was big, and being able to use the kitchen was a big bonus. Alton was really helpful to help us find the shops, the train to the city center, and giving us advice to visit London and Greenwich. It was really nice being there.

  • Alton was very welcoming. Check in was quick and easy. He made sure we knew all the different amenities that were available to us. He also made sure we knew how to work all the locks and shower, which I greatly appreciated. He is also very knowledgeable of the area. The flat is within walking distance of all the main attractions in Greenwich. Central London is also very easy to access from the flat because it’s very close to the train station.

    Ella2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • The location in Greenwich is very good, close to the train station. It has a quick access to London Bridge (8 min.) or Bank station (20 min., Central Line). It is a very quiet place. The apartment is close to the Greenwich park (10 min. walk). The flat is nice, clean and quiet. But not luxury and the kitchen is a bit small. Very good price for value! Alton is very open minded and very helpful. He is a really good host!

  • Hatt family's place was a great place to stay during our short trip to London. Unfortunatelly, they were away, so we couldn't get a chance to meet them. Nevertheless, they were always available via messages and they also gave us very helpful instructions how to reach their home. So, in general, all was very well.

  • What a lovely family! Hatt Family's place is located in a quiet and peaceful area, but it only takes one minute to find Tesco, KFC, domino's and a couple of nice restaurant! Our room is super nice with great view. We had the most comfortable bed ever!!!!! It's not over soft, so great for people like me with backbone problem. It takes 30 minutes to walk to O2 Arena, 5 min to Maze Hill station. Highly recommended!

  • Joana was an excellent host. She gave great directions, and her home is convenient to the sites. Her home is a 3 min walk from the train station if you have lots of luggage or get easily lost (like me). Otherwise, it's 1-2 minutes tops.

    Alison2017-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Joanna is very warm person. We feels so homey at her hospitality. Definitely will be back to her home next time we visit Greenwich. Love you Joanna and Moose .... miss you loads ... from lini and tinne

  • A cozy little room, a warm and lively hostess, tasty breakfast, easy access to London by train or boat. Super gor people who want to be in London, but have a calm retreat, too.

    Eva2018-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • Joanna's place is perfectly located in the hearth of Greenwich, a few minutes walking from the national marittime museum and royal observatory. Although I didn't have a chance to meet Joanna in person, the communication has been smooth 'til the end. I'd definitely come back!

The room does not have a door but its own discreet staircase. It is light, airy and open plan. The leaning ceiling provides a snug hideaway feel and benefits from a fine panoramic view of London.
Double room available in historic royal Greenwich; a UNESCO designated World Heritage Site for its significant contribution to the cultural and natural heritage of the world. The house is in a peaceful residential street that has panoramic views across London. It benefits from having the famous Observatory, Royal Greenwich Park, Old Royal Naval College, the Maritime museum, river Thames and Cutty Sark tall ship all within 15 minutes walking distance. Greenwich village has all the cafes, restaurants shops and markets you could want. The O2 arena is easily reached by bus or further afield you have The City, Theatre land and London's art center the South Bank just 20 minutes away by train or 29 minutes journey by river bus. Canary Wharf, the Olympic Park and London city airport are just a few stops along the Docklands Light Railway. Join the rest of the world in Greenwich the place where time began. Please Note that clean bedding and towels are provided and whilst I do not prepare breakfast you are welcome to make use of kitchen facilities, and sundries like cereal, fruit, milk, tea, coffee I may have in, for breakfast and light refreshments. The walk to the house is up hill. The attic room is on the second storey it has privacy but no door. The stairs have a tight turn at the top which makes trunks and very large suitcases difficult to maneuver - ask if assistance is required. A key for access to the house is available on request.
  • The feedback from my parents was that the view was fantastic and the host very friendly; however the steps to the attic were difficult to cart up 4 bags of heavy luggage and the room wasn't as clean as desired. The outdoor backyard was unkept but the location was exactly what they needed and for that with thanks.

  • Great place, great host, I will be back!

    James2018-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Richard's place is super clean, comfy, and in a really lovely part of London. The attic room is super cool and the ceiling window opens up to a fantastic view of the city in all directions. It is a bit out of the way from the more 'central' areas of London (like Buckingham, British Museum, etc..) but it's about a 30-45 train ride in, and the tube is really efficient and easy to navigate so if you're comfortable on public transit then you're all set. Greenwich itself is lovely anyways, so be sure to pop into town. Richard is a wonderful host, very accommodating (he allowed me to stay an extra three nights since I had an unplanned weekend), and a real pleasure to speak with. He makes sure that you have everything you need upon check-in and is always available by phone for questions. I would certainly stay with Richard again on my next trip to London.

    Dani2018-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Booked Richard's attic room a couple of days before my visit and was very quick to confirm and accept - thank you! Very easy and communication about checking in. Richards home is very tidy and a lovely quiet area of Greenwich with good amenities. The room had a great view over London and feels secluded even though it doesn't have it own door. Richard was very welcoming and quickly made me feel at ease and settled. The bed is superb, I was really grateful for an excellent night sleep. Many thanks. Only shame that we didn't get to chat more :)

    Rachel2017-05-14T00:00:00Z
  • From the very first moment, Richard was the absolute best host a host could ever hope to be. He is infinitely kind and accommodating, and he is well-versed in anything and everything a traveler to London might need or want. Moreover, he was quick to chat when I really wanted to do just that. The neighborhood is quaint, and there are plenty of convenience stores, pubs, restaurants, and the like nearby. I was attending a class at the Royal Observatory, and that is also only about a 10 minute walk away. The center of Greenwich is about the same walk away, too. If one wants to head into the center of London, transport from Cutty Sark and/or Greenwich stations is extremely close by, and the ferry is another viable option. The room itself is precisely as Richard described it; it's small, but plenty comfortable. A first-timer to London will be doubly impressed by the view across the rooftops and into London that the window featured in the picture provides. The bed was comfortable. The room was private. The bathroom is just downstairs and is quite nice and always immaculately clean. Richard was great about allowing me to use his refrigerator, making my stay with him even more akin to simply being at a home away from home, and, in truth, that is precisely what Richard's listing was for me. I felt absolutely comfortable in every sense and concept of the word while with Richard, I thoroughly recommend him to anyone thinking of staying in London, and I have EVERY intention of staying with him again in the near or distant future if and when I return to London. Again, I cannot recommend this property and its owner Richard enough!

    Jared2016-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very friendly and good communication. I had a really great stay. Would definitely recommend!!

    Lara2016-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Richard is a very friendly host and truly welcoming. The house is really nice and clean. The view of the room is a plus. We also enjoyed the lovely neighbourhood where you'll find lots of nice cafés, pubs and restaurants. We can absolutely recommend staying with Richard.

  • Richard's hospitality is fantastic. A very friendly host who offered all the small extras and not just a room which made it very easy to feel at home. The room was clean, bright, and exactly as advertised. The house is very easy to find and located a short walk from Greenwich station. Highly recommended.

Our household is friendly and relaxed, with 2 cats. We are 15 mins walk - some steep uphill! - from Greenwich and Cutty Sark stations. Our small house is at the end of a long rough path leading off Point Hill. Museums, pubs, shops, cafes, a cinema and Greenwich Market are 10 mins walk away. Travel time from Gatwick Airport, London City Airport and St Pancras International is about 1 hour. Heathrow, Stansted and Luton airports are under 2 hours away. The City of London is 20 minutes by train.
The guest room is simply furnished with two single beds, a small wardrobe and cabinet. Fresh linens & towels are provided. You have access to a private toilet next to the guest room but share the bathroom with us. The house is very bright, with modern furnishings and wooden floors throughout.
Greenwich is a World Heritage Site so a beautiful place to stay with much to see. Our house is minutes from lively pubs and cafes, as well as being a short walk from the park and museums. You can browse Greenwich Market’s craft and antique stalls or see a film at Greenwich Picturehouse, just 10 minutes walk away.
  • We had a warm and relax welcome. Easy going, nice eggs, bacon and talks at breakfast. Feeling to be at a friends house. My daughter who was a bit fearful what to experience, was feeling very at ease.

  • You won't make a mistake staying at Dave and Karen's cosy townhouse. Great hosts who will go the extra mile to make your visit a winner.

    Chris2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was my first AirBNB experience and I went in pretty much blind--virtually no knowledge of the neighborhood and no expectations other than "It'll probably be awkward staying at someone's house." The neighborhood turned out to be LOVELY, and Dave and Karen were even better!! It felt like staying with family--only, you know, comfortable. Dave and Karen are super wonderful people (and their home was really adorable and clean) and I wish I'd been able to stay longer!!

    Francesca2016-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • Karen and Dave are great hosts-they made me welcome from the moment I arrived.I was only there one night but wd have felt more than happy to be there for a week! The house is lovely and the room has a great view of the more recent London skyscrapers with very comfortable bed.The breakfast was exactly what I wanted -three lovely thick slices of wholemeal bread with butter and choice of fruity jams.Great location for visiting Greenwich and within easy reach of the rest of Central London.Dave and Karen helped me to plan my transport route to get to Buckingham Palace the easiest.Very helpful.Highly recommend this house and these hosts.

  • Second stay here just as good as the first! Greenwich is a fabulous part of London to explore, and Dave and Karen's is a brilliant place to stay in Greenwich . Clean, comfortable and helpful friendly hosts.

  • Dave and Karen have been amazing hosts! They couldn't have done any better. They are very helpful, friendly and made us feel very welcome. Their house is located in the lovely village of Greenwich. The room was very clean, nice and quiet and also provides a beautiful view over the city. Dave's breakfast was delicious and we had some great chats as well. We would definetely recommend this and we would love to go back there one day! Machella en Florens

    Machella2016-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • I would rate this 6/5 stars if I could. Both Dave and Karen were extremely hospitable and helpful guides during my stay. The location is close to the London tube, great food, and many wonderful attractions. A definite recommendation!

    Kevin2018-05-19T00:00:00Z
  • Dave and Karen's home is warm and inviting, immaculate, and very well located. Dave is an excellent host and cook. Greenwich is very relaxing place to stay - so convenient to the sights, but out of the fray. Karen and Dave let me know in advance about the Tall Ships event before I arrived which allowed me to plan some time for that in our itinerary. I stayed with my niece and my brother both at the house. Excellent stay. Highly recommended.

    Åsa2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • It was pretty easy reaching the apartment and Milo's indications were perfect. The bedroom was really clean as well as the bathroom and the kitchen! The apartment is utterly new and furnished. As far as I'm concerned I strongly recommend this room for a couple spending some days on vacation in London, bus stop actually 2 mins by walk and by bus easily you can reach Canary Wharf underground station in 8 mins by bus ( (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) h bus). It was a really good experience thanks also to the other people in the house, really respectful and nice. Overall I'm really satisfied I would choose again Milo's place, surely.

    Simone2017-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Pack your earplugs! This is a noisy house - footsteps reverberate and the heating is very loud. The large house can host many guests, so it's hard to sleep with people going up and down the stairs and even walking around their rooms.

  • This was the worst apartment I have rented on airbnb so far (I have 5+ years of Airbnb experience). - It is not clean, - the doors are hard to shut such that at night you will wake up because somebody slams the door to close it, - the host does not respond to SMS, phone calls or Airbnb messages; he even blocked my number at the end, - there is mold in the shower, - there is mold in some of the common areas, - at night every 20 seconds there was a knocking noise for 2 hours I have reported the host to Airbnb. A short note: When I rented the place the host was called Dominik and was very responsive. Shortly before renting it the name changed to Marcin and I never received any responses.

    Fawn2015-12-19T00:00:00Z
  • It was a nice stay. The room was spacious and clean. Location is quite convenient - 15mins of transportation to Canary Wharf Central. There was a minor issue with hot water supply but Sersh found a way to sort it out quickly. The neighbourhood was very nice and peaceful as well.

    Uuendy2016-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • The house is in a calm neighbourhood, around half an hour away from the centre of London if you use the DLR and London underground. It´s only a short walk (5-10mins) to get to the DLR station. The room is very big, has everything you need in it and is clean. There are 5 rooms in the house and only one bathroom plus one extra toilet. So it can get a bit busy in the morning and it wasn´t really clean. But that of course depends on the other guests you are staying with in the house. There is a fully equipped kitchen you can use. So it is a good place to stay for everyone who travels on lower budget.

    Alisa2017-03-07T00:00:00Z

  • We were greeted by Sersh's neighbor Juan who was extremely welcoming and helpful. The location was good for the price. It took about 40 minutes to get to most of the central London sites, and about 25 to get to London Bridge. The room was just as pictured. There aren't shades on one of the windows, though, so you will be woken by the sun! You're sharing the bathroom with a lot of other people in the airbnb, which wasn't an issue but something to be aware of. Overall a good experience!

  • Overall a really good place. We stayed in the attic room for a great price and a simple but spacious room, complete with comfy double bed. There were towels on arrival and small amenities like tea and coffee for us to have. We never met the host but the arrival instructions were clear and he provided us with a contact number should things go wrong (which they didn't!). The place is 5 minutes from the DLR station into central London and near a big ASDA store. Also good value.

  • Very good place

    Mohamed2019-05-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was alright for a hostel but the whole place smelled like piss. Didn’t even bother checking out the showers and one of the stalls had a bit of poop on the wall. Meh

  • Great location and worth the price.

    Daphne2019-03-17T00:00:00Z

  • This is an absolutely amazing place tucked away in a hidden corner of The Isle of Dogs. We were made so welcome and as previously we adored the house. We will be back again - thank you

  • Amazing hosts, both Satish and Rose. They were very accommodating when it came to an early check in or late check out. The room was beautiful, and spotless! Satish and Rose made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Location is perfect for shopping, and restaurants, or to just take a stroll. Their friendly puppy Rusty was also a bonus! Can't wait to stay again!

    Gaby2018-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • I received a very warm welcome and outstanding hospitality from Satish and thoroughly enjoyed my stay in his home. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed and just as advertised; nothing was too much trouble. I will certainly visit again when I am in the area.

  • Satish, his wife Rose and their dog Rusty were lovely hosts. The house is big, bright and spacious. The bedroom and bathroom were nicely furnished, a good size, and lovely and clean. A Nespresso and a chat every morning was a nice touch. I would have no hesitation staying here again.

  • the room is basic but everything you need. a doudle bed and a single one, a tv, a small desk. Very clean and comfortable. Use of the kitchen and bathroom, Lock on your door. Very good location. I just saw Alton to get the keys and he was very nice and explained me everything. I ll recommend his place for a short stay.

    Corinne2013-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • Alton is a very good and conscientious host. The room is clean and comfortable and as described. It is in a beautiful, safe area with easy and fast transport to London either by train or ferry (I highly recommend doing the trip by ferry at least once).

    Garden2016-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Alton is an excellent host and I really want to recommend his location. He gave me good advices about the city and my relocation project. The place is clean, quiet and the rooms are pretty spacious and comfortable. Greenwich is definitely a place to visit and my permanence at Alton's was very good as my first approach to London.

    Andrea2014-04-01T00:00:00Z
  • The room was very comfortable, Alton hadn't much time because of his work, but he was very friendly. He showed us everything and explained things very good. The train station was quite near and the accommodation was quiet.

    Sarah Medea2015-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Upon arrival, even though we were late because we misjudged travel connections, Alton gave us a walking tour of the neighborhood so we would know where the shops, pubs, and sightseeing spots were. The bedroom and kitchen are clean and practical. The bathroom is a little dated, and shared with another room, but it's functional. We didn't have access to a living room, but no matter, as we were out sightseeing all day anyway, and there is a small table and two chairs in the bedroom. It also has good shelves and hanging space for clothing. This is on the ground level, so no stairs to climb with luggage. It is set back a bit from the street, which is quiet anyway.

    Sherri2015-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • No complains at all! The location is handy only a 5 min walk to Greenwich dlr and maybe 8-10min to Deptford bridge dlr. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay there again in the future if ever required. Thanks for your hospitality Alton.

  • I booked this airbnb for my mum and she it was her first airbnb stay. Everything was easy to manage and the room was clean and comfortable. Big thank you to Margaret!

    Yvette2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Margaret is an incredible host, very friendly and available when you need her. Her house is very nice and clean, and you even have the possibility to cook in her kitchen. Even though the single room is quite small, it is absolutely worth the price – and Margaret is the first one warning you about the size of the bed (180cm). I am 179cm tall and I slept perfectly! Her house is very close to the 180 bus stop – which runs 24h (very convenient if you want to enjoy London at night as well) – and it is only 30 minutes walk to Greenwich Park and Royal Observatory.

    Valentina2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely perfect! Price, location, and comfort. Highly recommended!

    Lou2018-06-08T00:00:00Z
  • My stay at this acoomodation was really nice and I enjoyed it. The bed was comfortable and the whole accomodation was very tidy. You can use all the belongings in the kitchen and can some tea and coffee as well, which I enjoyed a lot. I would recommened this accomodation for everyone, especially if you want to visit the museums in Greenwich or the O2 arena, which just takes a 10/15 minutes ride or a 10 minutes walk to get to a big shopping area with M&S, Sainsbury, Primark, Aldi and many more It was a pleasure to stay in this accomodation.
