If you’re lucky enough to get the weather, the views from the patio are lovely, and it get so much sun (we had our breakfast and dinner out there both days). Thanks Sylvia, we’d highly recommend.

  • A great location for exploring the coast and hills around and nearby Bodnant Garden. This is a cosy, well equipped studio, with a good hob for simple cooking and a great shower. Excellent value in this perfect and peaceful location. Good communication from Sam and Sally.

  • Great location with fabulous restaurants & Conwy near by. Beautiful walks & of course Snowdon very close. Sally was very hospitable, we had a very much needed relaxing break & will definitely go back.

    Jane2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, chilled out space! Well situated for public transport. Definitely recommended.

    Helen2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Sally and Sam are amazing host and the Bwthyn is the perfect stay for a 2 person getaway! Their communication prior to arrival was brilliant and extremely helpful with local knowledge of the area. The Bwthyn is situated in a lovely little village with a short drive to great Pubs/bistros/farmshops, alongside the lovely town of Conwy. The Bwthyn itself was perfect for me and my girlfriend with plenty of room. Little touches from Sally and Sam such as scones on arrival and milk in the fridge really make it that extra bit special. Overall, I couldn't recommend this place enough and can't wait to come back to the Bwthyn and explore more of the surrounding area, which is truly stunning!

    Shaun2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning place, with perfect country views for when you wake. The little one room cottage was nice and private. Was perfect for what me and my niece wanted, whilst exploring Wales.

  • We got more than we expected. Best place to stay in Snowdonia.

    Zulal2017-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This little house is in a beautiful, quiet location. It's close to Conwy with the hills on your doorstep. It's comfortable, clean and has all the facilities you need. There is even a little garden with a pond that guests can use. Sally and Sam are friendly, welcoming hosts. We'd recommend this place to anyone looking for countryside, peace and quiet but close enough to the amenities of Conwy.

  • This place was exactly what we needed, the views and beauty around was peaceful and a break from city life. We loved being here. The beds were so comfortable, esp the sheets. Love the fresh flowers, comfortable and stylish house. And Andrea was great, friendly and around if needed. Great location, so close to the beach or waterfall hikes ( which we didn't end up getting to) but we would love to return to North Wales and this home!!

  • Beautiful space in a great location, the photos really don't do this place justice. Lovely and quiet overlooking a valley with plenty of bird life to watch from the garden. Very clean and lots of thoughtful touches that were very appreciated and most hosts overlook. Shower is hot and powerful and can't fault anything at all about this place. Try The Ship just down the road for food, it's a lovely local pub serving good food with a friendly welcome. We would stay here again if in the area. Thanks for a great stay Phil and Kandy

    Lynne2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • Fab little place! The comfiest bed and pillows. Lovely location.

    Katherine2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Philips place is very charming and spacious. The bed is very comfortable & sofa's so comfy you could fall asleep in them. Lovely little touches which make such a difference; there was breakfast, toast, biscuits, cereal, milk tea, everything you need for the morning. We had an early start so it was good we didn't have to drive around looking for breakfast. We stayed here for a weekend visit as it is a short drive from the surf centre, wich we'd booked lessons at. Communication was good & the hosts were very accommodating to our requests. The location is brilliant, we took a drive into the local village for dinner & found many great restaurants to choose from. We'll definitely stay again for our next trip to the surf centre.

    Claudia2018-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely brilliant place! Amazing hospitality, great open plan space and the views are great! Phil was available to contact promptly which was great and was no bother getting checked in!

  • A lovely spacious studio apartment with friendly, welcoming hosts. Will definitely stay here again!

    Tj2019-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • THE STUDIO IS A GOOD DESIGN AND HAS A SPACIOUS FEEL . THERE IS A LOVELY OUTLOOK THROUGH THE LARGE WINDOW. IT HAS EVERYTHING WE NEEDED AND MORE AND THE BED AND CHAIRS WERE EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE. IT IS IN A GOOD AREA FOR VISITING THE BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN THE MOUNTAINS AND ON THE COAST.

    Mike2019-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • From the minute we drove into the drive, the to moment we reluctantly dragged ourselves away, everything was just perfect. The human and canine welcome wagon was laid out and my husband and I fell in love with the place instantly! Only here for about 20 hours in total, and wish we’d planned to stay for at least a week or more! Place was spotless, with every little detail thoughtfully catered to and every need anticipated for a relaxing stay. Hosts were highly personable and caring, yet gave us our space despite being very approachable as they were just next door. Little notes and labels on everything inside, and we felt guided through instructions for everything, never being left to feel lost or confused - just like being at home as if we’d been coming here for years. Such a welcoming and homely feel throughout, can’t wait to return. An extra unexpected touch of being left a card and present by the hosts as it was our anniversary - so thoughtful and heartfelt. Thanks again for everything. Until next time! Xxxx

  • Lovely escape. Peaceful and beautiful.

    David2018-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cabin nestled in the hillside with a fantastic view of Snowdonian National Park. Wine & Chocs were waiting for my wife and I on arrival which was a lovely touch. We loved our stay at Bluebell Cottage.

    Chris2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • Another relaxing trip to the stunning surroundings of Bluebell Cottage. We love the location of this lovely log cabin, plus its 'tardis' like qualities. It's small, but I defy you to need anything else for your stay. There is storage and hooks aplenty, a comfortable sofa plus a chair and squishy footstools, bed is super comfy, and there are always plenty of towels. The kitchen is my favourite - microwave, two rings to cook on, oven, grill, plus everything is so close to hand. Add to this the outdoor space with a sun deck (just need the sun!) complete with loungers, chairs and a picnic bench (from where you can watch the local wildlife as it comes and goes). This area is a dream for walkers, also anyone wanting to explore Snowdonia and nearby Betwsy Coed and Llanrwst. Also, don't miss out on a trip to Surf Snowdonia, even if you're not a surfer or like me, a swimmer. You'll feel you are transported to a cool Cornwall beach as you watch the surfers on the artificial waves. Fantastic place. Few tips from me; as well as local independent shops, you'll find two fantastic chippy's in Llanrwst, plus a big Co-op if you need to stock up. Also, take a trip to Llyn Idwal and Lake Crafnant.

    Gillian2018-04-28T00:00:00Z
  • What a total gem of a place! A stunning location right on the doorstep of Snowdonia, such an amazing view to wake up to in the morning. On arrival we were greeted with a lovely present of chocolate and wine, but better yet was the cozy little cottage that served our every need. Everywhere we visited was at most an hour's drive away through some of the most stunning scenery we've ever seen, and local amenities were convenient enough that we didn't need to worry about being left without. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a few days away from the world!

  • Wonderful little wooden cabin in the woods. Magical to see the squirrels during the day and hear the hooting owls at night and bright starry skies.... the chairs are well placed for sunbathing/star gazing! Everything you need in the cabin too, really well thought out, a clean cosy cabin. Thank you Sylvia and Frank we hope to return again one day soon!

  • Really comfortable place to stay for a few days. Was able to make a small dinner in the micro and the kitchenette held everything you needed. The hosts were attentive and helpful (kindly left out a few books out for our toddler and printed out the Eisteddfod bus timetable) but we felt we had complete privacy and the views from the cottage were beautiful, as well as the garden. Surf Snowdonia is just up the road. Diolch yn fawr IAWN i chi.

  • We had a lovely stay at Grant & Jacqui's place, can't recommend it enough for couples or solo travellers coming to explore Snowdonia or, as in our case, to do any of the local adventure activities. Small but perfectly formed, 'The bit down the end' has everything you need and is ideal for people who want to get up and get out. There is good wifi, a hot shower with towels provided, tea, coffee, milk, small fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster and a few other kitchen bits for breakfast. We had dinner in the nearby pub/hotel The Prince's Arms and would recommend it for lovely food and service. Grant & Jacqui were very responsive by message and accommodating re our check-in time. They also very kindly gave us some chocolates as we came for a birthday trip! We were so impressed with this cosy place and lovely hospitality, we would love to come back!

Please, please do not try to book with me at Firs Cottage if you do not have your own transport. Your feet may be wonderful at transporting you BUT as I am 4 miles from Llanrwst and the A470 is a busy and dangerous road with no footpath, walking here is NOT an option!! I do not take guests who need to travel by train as reaching me then is also difficult. Firs Cottage is my home and the home of my 3 cats. Breakfast is cooked freshly for you, I make all the jams, marmalades and bread.
I have 3 bedrooms available, room one has a normal double and a single bed, room two has a twin or super king bed and room three has 2 single beds. Firs Cottage is old, built about 1650 so there are thick stone walls and other features. My reviews are full of comments about 'home from home' and excellent breakfasts. My bread, jams and marmalades are all home made, by me! I have plenty of parking by the cottage.
This is a beautiful area with views of the Carneddau hills. The valley has good weather when other places have rain! Firs Cottage is near Bodnant Garden, Conwy Castle, Snowdon, Llandudno for Alice in Wonderland experiences and Penrhyn Castle too.
  • Mary is great. Friendly, knowledgeable and a perfect Airbnb host. Her accommodation is clean and tidy. Nice breakfast. Thoroughly recommended. Book with confidence.

    Dave2014-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Mary was very welcoming, chatty, with 30 years experience in B and B at that location. She recommended an excellent restaurant in the local town 3 miles away, parking was nearly non existent within 200 yards of town(I have a mobility problem).

    Maurice2015-06-06T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful host with a lovely personal touch - Attentive without being intrusive. A peaceful location set in beautiful countryside. A location from which to explore North Wales and the Conway valley.

    Jake2018-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Firs Cottage is a wonderful haven in North Wales! The scenery is beautiful and the home was both lovely and quaint. The garden is amazing and makes a great place to sit outdoors. I would really recommend staying with Mary as she is kind, helpful and makes the most wonderful breakfast you'll ever have! Plus- she has been graciously opening up her home for 28 years and has fond memories of all of the people she has met (from 48 out of the 50 United States and lots of regulars)!

    Katie2014-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning location.. Amazing host... warm cosy atmosphere...great tips on where to eat and what to do... Fantastic breakfast. we had a relaxed and welcoming stay

  • wonderful night! mary is so kind and the house is comfortable and tidy. wish having time to stay her house again.

    Denghui2016-04-17T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Mary is like going to stay with your granny! Great breakfasts. Amazing view. Very traditional. She gave us great local advice and couldn't have been more welcoming. Main downside was low beam outside the room and I whacked my head in the middle of the night (although Mary has taken steps to make it more visible). Not your average B&B! Unique experience and suited us very well for event at Welsh Food Centre near by.

    Hazel2014-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely visit at Mary's place - a really nice breakfast with eggs from her neighbour and she offered lots of really helpful tips about the local area.

My place is close to Conwy Castle, Snowdonia National Park, the Great Orme, the Marin bike trail, Antur Stiniog, National Trust Bodnant Estate, Surf Snowdonia, Conwy and Llandudno beaches, excellent restaurants in Conwy and Llandudno. You’ll love my place because it's a detached cosy cottage in the country but within minutes drive of the major road networks (A55 & A470). My place is good for couples, business travellers, families (with small children), and well behaved dogs.
The house has it's own parking and small garden with outdoor furniture. There is a fully equipped kitchen and washer and dryer facilities. There is a shower room and towels are supplied. The lounge is a lovely airy space with a staircase leading up to a mezzanine bedroom with wooden beams and skylights. The bed is a double bed and there is a sofa bed in the lounge. All linen is supplied and there is a travel cot available at the property. The property has beautiful countryside surroundings with some lovely footpaths and easy access to the towns and Snowdonia. There is an additional charge of £10 per dog so please let us know in advance. We have a large selection of dvd's for guests ranging from comedy's and action films to children's classics.
The cottage is in a quiet country neighbourhood but within seconds you are on a main road and able to very easily reach main towns and attractions.
  • A delightful little cottage. Had all we needed. Really good value for money. Well located if you have a car. Would stay again. Natalie's communication and flexibility were greatly appreciated! Highly recommended. X

    Lauren2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Colomendy cottage is located in a perfect location of North Wales that is a short distance from popular destinations such as Conwy (for the Conwy Castle), a few good places to eat in Conwy or Llandudno. I would definitely recommend Betws-y-Coed, which is only about 20mins from the cottage too as a great starting point for Snowdonia. If your like me and like to stay somewhere quiet and private with the cottage feel, relax but also explore (that has a great host, and you may even get to meet the local hound), this place is great for a short or longer stay. Dog friendly, and North Wales has plenty dog friendly places to visit and lots to offer.

    Gareth2017-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay thanks Natalie, so helpful, gorgeous little cottage, great location. Xxx

    Sarah2016-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely secluded cottage in North Wales, great location if you’re attending Bounce Below like we did! Cottage has off road and secure parking which is a must for me, and the secure way of getting the key yourself made you feel right at home as you were free to look around the cottage yourself. It was clean and tidy throughout! Only thing we couldn’t find was a bottle opener!! Only suggestion would be maybe having a blind over the door that would give that last tiny amount of privacy, especially as i had to make several toilet trips during the night which was right opposite! Not a necessity but just a thought. Thank you Natalie for the opportunity to stay, if ever in North Wales again we would hope to stay here!

    Gemma2018-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Natalie is a perfect host who made us thoroughly welcome both before our arrival and during our stay. The cottage is immaculately clean and well equipped. Its location is brilliant, close to excellent amenities, loads of wonderful places to eat and really easy to access the whole of the stunningly beautiful area. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar are provided on arrival along with Welsh cakes, whats not to love! Our dog Foster was also treated to dog biscuits, he was very happy. When we had a problem with the Wi-fi during our stay Natalie very sweetly discounted the charge for Fos as compensation. We were blessed with amazing weather and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Definitely recommended.

    Helen2016-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Just as advertised - a very cosy, comfortable and romantic little cottage. Perfect for a quiet get-away and in a lovely, secluded yet accessible location. Beautiful scenery nearby and everything you need at the cottage. We loved our stay and so did our pooch!

    Caitlin2018-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous cottage that felt immediately like home. The surrounding area is beautiful and even during some pretty hectic rainstorms we had an amazing time.

    Jake2019-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Natalie's cottage and adored the quietness and peacefulness. Great location to explore Snowdonia and the coast. Lovely host, great communication. Cottage has everything you need, very cosy. Thank you so much.

In the heart of North Wales, "The Adventure Playground of Europe", but with the subtlety to welcome those visitors who prefer a quieter break, Surf View Cottage has been transformed from a former 'works' cottage into the perfect base for exploring the opportunities presented by the stunning Conwy Valley and Snowdonia.
The groundfloor at Surf View Cottage is a light, open area, consisting of a living room with open conservatory; doorway into a well equipped kitchen and a second doorway off the living room into the wetroom. On the first floor, we offer 3 bedrooms: Bedroom 1 is a spacy double bedroom with immediate views over Surf Snowdonia, and further towards the hills above Conwy River. This bedroom has a built-in wardrobe, with a toilet and wash basin in a separate enclosed space. Bedroom 2 is a smaller bedroom with a double bed that is only accessible from one side. Bedroom 3 has two single beds. External. Parking for two medium sized vehicles is available. To the rear of the property we have a large store with washdown facilities and a cozy BBQ area.
North Wales, Snowdonia and the Conwy Valley in particular have always been a target destination for people with an element of the outdoor about them. A visit to Surf View Cottage places you right in the heart of all the traditional activities and literally a stones throw away from some recent additions. Traditional: Mountain Bikers: You are 5 miles from the renowned Marin Trail, described as "one of the 'musts' of North Wales for any serious mountain biker." Surf View Cottage is equipped with washdown facilities and 5 lever locks on our secure storage. Kayaking: You will be 7 miles from Conwy Quay and only 5 from Llanrwst. You can also put in at the Old Docks in Trefriw, which is a little over 3 miles from the cottage (closer to Llanrwst). There is also the option of Betws-y-Coed and the famous Conwy Falls. Secure storage for your equipment is available for you at Surf View Cottage. Hiking/Hill Walking: Nothing more needs saying, other than you are in Snowdonia. Drying room facility is available at Surf View Cottage. Recent Additions: Surf Snowdonia: Surf View Cottage takes its name for the rear of the property view of Surf Snowdonia; the worlds first inland surfing lagoon. Surf Snowdonia is literally a 5 minute walk from the property. Surf View Cottage is set up with washdown and drying facilities for your clothes and equipment. Zip World and Zip World Fforest: You will be 9 miles from Zip World Fforest, with it's range of rope access, net walkways and more recent addition, Fforest Coaster, which is a 1km toboggan based rail ride through the local woodlands.
  • A great place, comfortable and convenient. A home from home feel, would definitely stay here again.

  • Gary & Sascha, thank you for your lovely house. We found everything we need. The chocolate sandwich and the milk were welcome. We feel well in your house. • Fantastic little gem. Really nice house, shower was wonderful. Lovely hosts. Village is quiet but central for lots of places. Give Gorge Walking a go in Dollgarog with North Wales Active you won't be disappointed.

  • We had a great stay at Gary’s place. The house was perfect for our family with a dog, close to lots of great activities in North Wales. The space was clean and had everything we needed (and more) for our walking holiday. Gary and Sascha went out of their way with their communication, including helping us out last minute local tips. I would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay and we hope to return.

  • Sally & Sam's place was perfect for my adventures in Wales. Being centrally located to the areas in north Wales that I wanted to experience, this was the perfect location for me. I also enjoyed the countryside location rather than a city. A very relaxing place to regenerated after a day of exploration. Murphy still wins the contest, of all the cats I've known, he has the loudest purr! Thank you for providing such a lovely place to stay.

    Catherine2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay in such a beautiful part of Wales. Sally is a friendly & relaxed host, and the cottage itself was everything that we were looking for - well located, very peaceful, homely, clean and well appointed with all the things you need for a relaxing & comfortable stay. We couldn't fault the cottage & would love to come back when we're in the area next..! Thank you. Sam & John x

  • An excellent place to stay in North Wales, makes a great base for exploring Snowdonia and Anglesey. The kitchen is well equipped and the bed was very comfortable. I nice touch was two pillows with different thicknesses to accommodate peoples’ pillow preferences. We would highly recommend and hope to visit again.

    Helen2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Everything you need for a very comfy, quiet, relaxing break. It is tucked away from the road, with some lovely views/walks around, and within short driving distance of even more beautiful countryside, the town of Conwy with its amazing castle, Llandudno, and Snowdon to the south. Sally and Sam are very friendly and helpful hosts, the cottage kitchen is well equipped, the bed very comfortable, the shower hot and powerful! And large television with DVD player for evening entertainment after a day out in the fresh air!

    Joan2018-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little cottage, well situated for touring the area. It was so quiet and peaceful. The place is spotlessly clean and a real home from home. Plenty of parking on the property close to the house. A couple of pubs about a mile away offer good food.

    Ann2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place, has access to nice outdoor space, fluffy cat & a terrapin. Good pubs nearby & very convenient for getting into snowdonia.

We love our town and the area and happy to share information on the best places!
  • Absolutely superb location, and more than happy with the accommodation . The host Catherine introduced herself , showed us around and then left us to our own desires, but safe in the knowledge that if we needed anything , she would always be around to assist, a perfect host. Would highly recommend it

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at this perfect property. The location is wonderful for easy access to Betws-y-coed for walking, food, drink, local amenities and of course for accessing Snowdon. It was a lovely little retreat and we will definitely come back in the future.

    Sophie2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • This Airbnb was quite average - very pleasant hosts who left us a bottle of prosecco ahead of our upcoming marriage. However it was cold upon arrival and was next to a building site (not owners fault), the shower head had masking tape around it and was cable tied on. Didn’t think the value was that great considering other nice hotels in the area are a similar price with breakfast included.

    Dominique2018-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Catherine's cottage is a cosy little gem. Had everything we need for the 2 of us, was great value for the location. Only down the road from the mountains and only a minute or 2 walk from the shops and restaurants. Couldn't recommend it more, would definitely come again!

    Bradley2018-06-22T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is in the perfect location to enjoy Betws-y-Coed from. The perfect setting off spot we needed to start our daily walks and come back and relax, and out for dinner.

    Katrina2019-07-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful and cosy little cottage in an ideal location for the town. We especially liked the fact that Catherine left us to it without interfering with our stay, yet easily contactable if we needed anything. Overall a delightful place where we felt right at home from the very start.

    Rémi2017-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, cosy house and right next to all the shops and pubs in Betws-y-coed.

    Kathryn2017-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The lodge is in a great location with plenty on offer in the local village and only a short drive from Snowdon etc. Generally, the facilities and cleanliness inside the lodge are fantastic. However, as noted in other reviews, the shower still requires maintenance. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this accommodation to others seeking a quiet retreat.

  • Easy communication with code for access to keys. Awesome location! Literally just outside the city walls. Very short walk to shops, pubs, and popular sites. Almost always had parking directly in front of unit. Only once had to park down the street. Cute place with nice patio - though we used little as there was rain. Might be tough to park here with big car. Great spot! Host has a giant stack of brochures and menus for your use. Very nice.

A very welcoming couple with two very friendly dogs. Come and go as you please and have a lovely time in your private room overlooking the Cowny Valley toward the small trades town of Llanrwst. We are a stones throw away from Snowdonia national park and only 20minutes away from Mt Snowdon the tallest peak in wales. There are many places we are more than happy to recommend for either day trips, gorgeous views or just somewhere to enjoy food and company. Please do not hesitate to ask.
  • What a fabulous place to stay. Lovely helpful couple with lots of tips and ideas of places to go both in the National Park and sites in towns a short drive away. Cannot recommend more highly. Was a perfect place for us to stay during our time in Snowdonia.

  • This is a little haven inthe world. I loved the peace and escape it offered and was well placed for what i wanted to do. 30 minutes to Zip World (the long fast zip slide one), Bangor, Betys y Coed etc. I then drove through Snowdonia to the other Zip World (caverns, bounce below, zip lines), then 30 minutes back to the caravan. You must must must visit a place called Fairy Glen... if you dont believe in magic or fairies then this place will have you questioning yourself. Take a picnic, wine, and the love of your life and you have a cherished memory forever... for only £1 (make sure you have a 1 pound coin). The surrounding rivers and waterfalls are breath taking... take good boots and plenty of camera space:) The rain didnt stop me. If you cant embrace the rain then Wales isnt for you is what i say. Stunning part of the world:) The caravan was clean, cosy and very well kitted out (and didnt smell at all of the expected musty caravan smell)... a little home from home! I asked for peace and quiet and Sylvia did just thsat. She greeted me and left me to it. Peaceful and relaxing :)

  • Well organised little van. Great watching the birds in the mornings. Lovely and quiet. Shower need more pressure but it will get you wet.

  • Had a lovely stay at the caravan, great location for Snowdonia, the slate caverns and all the lovely villages in Northern Wales. Sylvia was a great host, she provided a great deal of info on what there was to do locally and everything was clearly labelled. My biggest concern was the space as I’m 6”2 but I was able to stand up in all of the van and fitted easily in the bed. Would definitely recommend!

  • We have stayed in many air bnbs, but this place just had something special about it. Despite arriving late, Sylvia came and met us in the dark, showed us to the cosy caravan and was always on hand should we need her. The caravan was clean, hidden away and very well equipped with everything we needed for our weekend stay. We loved the setting and local area! Sylvia went out her way to ensure everything was in place for us, even when we left some items behind, they were posted next day to our home address with a discount code for our next stay. Definitely recommended. Thank you Sylvia! James and Elly :)

    James2017-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • I was only able to enjoy a short 2 night stay at Sylvia’s caravan, but it was exactly as described, and in a very tranquil spot up a private driveway. Local villages are easily accessible, and I took advantage of the two walks which set off from the parking by the caravan, and also a trail from Trefiw around the nearby lakes which comes recommended. Sylvia included everything I needed, plus more, lots of local information, and was quick to respond to any queries I had. Would definitely visit again!

    Sally2018-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place is exactly as advertised, quiet, secluded and very clean. Host was pleasant and very willing to help if needed. Small space but very clean and pleasant! Thank you Sylvia!

I'm based in the middle of llanrwst town on the border of snowdonia range, close to zip world and surf snowdonia. It's less than a minuet to the closest store and a 2 minuet walk to the pub, there is a car park behind my flat no parking fee.
I do have 2 dogs but they won't be here when guests stay so if you have a allergy its best I state now, it will be hair free when you arrive (I like to keep a clean house). You can help yourself to juice, tea and coffee but cooking appliances won't be available.
It's right Inbetween surf snowdonia, zip world a 20min drive to snowdon and all the beautiful views and outdoor adventure places, we have a few food choices too we have an Indian, 2 chippy's, Chinese and a kebab house never mind the good pub grub and café's.
  • Elorah was a fantastic host and the location was superb, very central and close to everything you need. Only negative point is noise during busy summer nights, due to close proximity to pubs

    Richard2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Elorah has a really lovely place. It was a shame that we couldn’t use kitchen amenities, and that there is only a bath (no shower), but other than that, an ok place to stop over for a night (25 min drive from Snowdon!)

    Dilly2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Slightly off-beat but a friendly hostess. The room itself is pleasant and spacious.

    Kieran2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully decorated and massive room in the heart of Llanrwst. Incredible value. Would love to come back.

  • A comfortable place that is well located for activities across Snowdonia and wider north Wales.

    Lois2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely host. Always smiling. The house is in town centre with all amenities nearby. Enjoy my stay here :)

    Arvind2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely, spacious room in a really handy location. Elorah was really responsive and helped us feel at home. The room has lots of lovely little touches and we enjoyed being so close to the shops and restaurants as well as beings short drive from Snowdon National Park. Due to town location, there was a bit of noise at night from the high street but it didn’t bother us. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Snowdon :)

    Karina2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Elorah was a lovely girl and very friendly! Even invited us to join her and a friend for a movie night but we were too tired. The place is is a prime location and the bus stop is just a stone throw away! Busses are quite irregular though. The Co-Op is just behind and you have loads of places to grab a bite. The place was decorated really nicely and our stay was really comfortable. Bathroom is big but doesn’t have a shower head if you’re used to having one (has a bathtub tho) and the bathroom is big and spacious. Very peaceful and quaint place. It was just lovely overall!

Paul and Karen would like to welcome you to Lynwood apartment, set on Pauls farm in the stunning Welsh countryside. The apartment has 1 double bedroom, sofa bed in lounge a well equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower in bath. Also boasts solar panels with an ECO hot water and heating system
I have added some areas of local interest, cant list them all but here is a few. Betws-y-Coed 12 miles 27 mins drive Surf Snowdonia 4.8 miles 13 mins drive Llandudno town 4.5 miles 18 mins drive Zip World-Penryn Quarry 19 miles 31 mins drive Greenwood Forest Park 21 miles 30 mins drive Isle of Anglesey 24 miles 41 mins drive Bodnant Gardens 6 miles 14 mins drive Fishing lakes at the Dutch Pancake house in Conwy Water Gardens 1.6 miles 8 mins drive. Conwy Golf Course 2.2. miles Bounce Below 25 miles 41 mins drive Zip world Forest 14 miles 22 mins RSPB 4.7 miles The historic town of Conwy where you can visit the castle or walk the walls, have a bite to eat and a drink.See the smallest house on the lovely quay and is only 1.5 miles away from us. Although our apartment only has 1 bedroom there is a double bed settee in the lounge so is suitable for 4 guests.
  • A warning that there could be smoke pollution from the landlord's fire next door depending on weather conditions. We were affected by the pollution on the verandah and indoors when we couldn't open any door or window because the smoke was coming inside. Hopefully this will be sorted soon; otherwise the apartment was excellent and the landlord was a friendly and welcoming guy who gave us fresh eggs from his hens, Welsh butter and bread. Can highly recommend the Fairy Glen Hotel and Restaurant in Capelulo not far away for great food and real ales; also the Queen Victoria Pub in Llandudno for the best fish meal we've ever had and good real ales. We also enjoyed a train ride part way up Snowdon and were very fortunate to see the summit clearly. We were so lucky to have fantastic hot clear weather for our 3 night stay!

  • This place is an absolute gem. Amazing location, fantastic extra's from the host (Freshly Baked Bread and Freshly Laid Eggs!) This farm is one of the most picturesque places I have ever seen, along with its surroundings and being sat out on the lovely balcony with a glass of wine is one of the most amazing tranquil experiences of my life.

A beautiful river side location with chalets to suit all sizes of family. Central location for all North Wales attractions with good local walking and cycling. Our chalets are all disabled friendly and all have wet rooms.
All chalets are self contained. We have 6 chalets sleeping 4 persons in each chalet. The small gardened quadrangle setting makes us ideal for large families and groups. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with TV, Cooker, Fridge Microwave Toaster etc we are ideally based for all the outside activities that this area has to offer. We're very convenient for Surf Snowdonia, Zipworld and Treetops. Snowdon is a short distance away. Our location makes for a great central location for trips north to the coastal attractions of Conwy, Llandudno and even Angelsey. Heading south, we are in easy reach of Tremadog, Blenau Ffestiniog and Portmerion. Our riverside setting makes for a peaceful spot to just take it easy too.
Llanwrst which is friendly and is less than 5 mins walking we have s co-op, spar newsagents there are plenty of place to eat including a very good Indian Restaurant , fish and chips and Chinese takeaway.
  • Great location for the weekend, lovely garden and view of the river. Especially in the sunshine

    David2018-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great location with all the amenities we needed for a trip to Snowdon. Only very small downsides were having to top up the electricity (but it was only a few pounds over the weekend) and twin beds (as we were two couples). Sue is extremely helpful and had lots of recommendations for nearby. Would definitely return.

    Lucy2017-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our holiday chalet was very comfortable and clean, with most of the amenities we needed. Sue was very friendly and helpful. By far the biggest selling point is the location though. The chalet is situated on the river, with views of the river, and fields and mountains across the river. I can’t oversell how beautiful it is, especially on warm sunny days! If you like hiking, you have options without having to drive anywhere, and plenty more options a very short drive away. The very popular Betws-y-coed is less than 15 minutes drive away, and Conwy not much further in the opposite direction. Overall, definitely worth a visit, and we would certainly consider staying here again.

    Elaine2017-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The cottages are lovely, the 2 employees plus Sue are all very friendly, and the lady with short blonde hair gave us some local suggestions of things to do and good food. The cottage itself is simple and basic but sparkling clean. The location is like a fairytale. Literally like something out of Lord of the Rings or something! You are only steps away from a picturesque village and an incredibly old gorgeous bridge. Enjoy it!

    Kelly2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great location and beautiful spot. This is a fantastic place for the money with easy access to many of the best spots in North Wales.

    Andy2019-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Trem Gwydir was a truly lovely place to stay. My brother and I made it our "base" for our Snowdon climb and couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. In the heart of Llanrwst with stunning views across the Eastern edge of Snowdonia. We didn't get much of a chance to venture into the town, but from what we did see there are plenty of local amenities throughout the market town and a short drive from the Victorian seaside town of Llandudno. Sue was the perfect host, very hospitable and gave us plenty of suggestions for things to do and see in the local area. Would definitely recommend Trem Gwydir!

  • Dave has created a welcoming accomodation with great views over the valley. The little extras you will find like ingredients for a full cooked breakfast and a "magic cupboard!" help to make the stay special. It is ideally situated to explore further whether you choose to climb Snowdon (we did Pyg path up and Miners Track down) or visit the nearby attractions at Llandudno, Conwy, Llanrwst, Caernarfon. Betws Y Coed and Llangollen. The Ugly House does a lovely afternoon tea. Worth a short walk to find Fairy Falls and visit the Wool Mill in the village.

    Debbie2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Dave's apartment is part of a larger house in a row of houses but yet feels very secluded and is wonderfully peaceful. It is very comfortably furnished. There is ample food provided for breakfast as well as lots of other incidentals such as herbs and spices for cooking. It is situated up a steep road from the village so make sure your handbrake is in good working order as you are liable to meet other cars. Dave has also provided a very useful guide to walks that can be taken directly from the door.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed meeting Eryl and Gerry and staying in their home. The room is indeed cozy but feels larger because it looks out on their lovely garden. We loved the village, exploring the castle and walking in the surrounding hills. Eryl and Gerry provided breakfast and allowed us to use their living room TV and dining room. Everything was first rate and very comfortable. Thanks Eryl and Gerry for a wonderful stay!

A small footpath, stream and church-yard are accessible via a rear gate.

Gyffin has an excellent local shop for milk, papers, beverages, etc. about 80 metres from the cottage. An excellent and newly refurbished Fish and Chip shop has opened equally close to the cottage. A free car park is available also about 80 metres from the cottage. Conwy is just a few minutes walk through the park, where a multitude of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants can be found. An RSPB bird sanctuary on the river estuary is just a pleasant 20 minute walk from the cottage. Within 10 minutes drive, there are 4 local golf courses, the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno and the mountains of Snowdonia.
  • A very Nice cabin and would stay there again, but only with my own transportation. Public transportation was very poor and cab service was almost nonexistent.

    Michael2019-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • "Glyndwr" is a lovely little cottage that has a nice location, which is an easy 10 minute walk from the centre of Conwy. There is ample parking close to the cottage, either in a free carpark or a short distance up the hill on the side of the road. Nearby there is a nice chip shop and a convenience store that has most things you might need. The cottage is spotlessly clean, it is also better equipped and presented than the average holiday let and is a credit to the owners. Bill was very good at communication and the arrival/check in process was simple and stress free. I would unreservedly recommend Bill and Glyndwr to anyone.

  • Just came back after spending 3 restful days with our sons aged 5&10. Absolutely lovely, clean and functional space for a holiday rental. The utility room very practical with washing machine, iron board and iron( although we didn’t use it during our short stay). There is free open space car parking very close to the house, next to the park. The local shop across the road from the cottage is very convenient for milk, bread, eggs and snacks. Netflix at the end of a long day exploring was well received by the whole family. The kitchen has everything for cooking meals, utensils and cutlery wise- you will need to take your spices, oil etc. We did the Conway castle, walls, crabbing ( top tip- get the big green nets instead of the crab line - and watch the crabs crawl in the net, and go at high tide comes in around 7 pm late May), Aberconwy house and plas mawr. Local places to eat in Conwy - fish and chip shop next very close to the rental, is a family owned place and attention to detail great. Lovely fresh fish and chips, very popular with locals. Earskine pub, amelies all very good with kids. We also went to Llandudno 3 miles away - to great Orme for fossil hunting( next to the car park on the summit, where people have put their names). Beach front where our youngest loved picking up sea shells and jelly blobs as he liked to call them, the sand was covered in them. The promenade very good for scooting and little legs. Although Conwy is not too good for scooting due to steep hills. Overall absolutely recommend the cottage it’s in a great location and the stream that runs at the back of the house is so peaceful you can hear the birds signing.

    Ruchika2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • A great place in a convenient location to Conwy. Easy walk. Kitchen implements are all provided, so don’t need extra things. Laundry facilities available and easy to use. Helpful instructions to use the boiler and other extras. Most are the same as usual though. Free parking is available nearby, so that’s not a problem. A supermarket and a Fish and Chips shop is also nearby. Make sure you go to the tourist centre in Conwy, to find out all the places to visit during your stay. Recommend Plas Maur, if you like history. Can get a combined ticket to it and the castle. M and 3 others.

Welcome to my home. It’s on a quiet, leafy lane less than a mile from Conwy. It’s a modern, 1960’s, detached house decorated with contemporary fabrics and white walls. Your entrance door opens into a hall with your bedroom on the left and the bathroom directly opposite on the right. There are no other rooms on this floor. The bathroom has an electric shower over the bath. Your bedroom has a double bed, plenty of storage space, tea and coffee making facilities, a 22” TV with FreeSat and wi-if.
There is plenty of room to park and lots of lovely walks from my house. The walk into Conwy takes about 20 minutes and is a very picturesque walled town. I am also a short drive from Llandudno, a Victorian seaside town: Llanberis, in the heart of Snowdonia, and lots of lakes, mountains, forests, beaches and pretty villages. Surf Snowdonia and all the Zip World activities are nearby and some great mountain biking trails.
My home is surrounded by fields and woodland with neighbours along the lane and a cottage at the bottom of the drive. From your room you often hear cows mooing. It is a quiet location with sheep, cows and dogs nearby.
  • Tanya was an exceptionally kind and accommodating host and provided a very comfortable stay. Walk into Conwy in about 20-25 mins. Some steep hills with fantastic views! Private and secure entrance .

  • We had a very pleasant stay at Tarnyas place. The house was clean and very comfortable. Plenty of space to park and close to the town centre, which itself is beautiful. We stayed here on our trip to climb Snowdon as it's only a short drive to the mountain approximately 25/30 minutes. We will definitely stay here again when we return next to climb the mountain on another path. Thanks again Tarnya for a comfortable stay.

    Craig2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was a delight staying at Tarnya's place. From the accurate directions, to her personalized tips for conwy, to the little notes she left for us- everything was just perfect. We knew we wanted to extend our stay just 5 minutes after entering the house, but unfortunately we couldn't. It is a private space, the room is big and comfortable and all the amenities are provided. The view is lovely too. Would highly recommend this place to everyone. I would give extra brownie points for the efforts Tarnya made to leave printouts in the room for her recommendations for in and around the town. We took her advice and absolutely enjoyed our day.

  • I had a great stay at Tarnya’s place, highly recommended:)

  • A comfortable room in a self-contained part of the house. Tea, coffee and milk provided. Lots of suggestions of places to visit in Conwy and further afield. Tarnya gave very helpful directions for finding her house.

There are only 2 neighbours, one opposite on the other side of the road and the other one is in a fair distance to the house.
  • Kathi was a good host. The house is large, clean and well presented, with fine views.

  • Very convenient location for the north coast and Snowdonia. Good for the dogs with the secure garden, all visible, and solid floors on most of the ground floor. Good quality TV. Was able to use the fire to warm up the lounge nicely in the winter evenings. Recommended.

  • Lovely big house in a fab location to explore Snowdonia and North Wales. Kathi had it all organised and it was all super clean and well presented. The house is lovely and all 9 of us fitted in with room to spare. Cheers Richard and family.

  • We had a fantastic 2 week family holiday exploring north Wales from this lovely house. It is exactly as described with lots of space and a well equipped kitchen. Local facilities are good, but a drive away, though the rural location is part of the attraction. The owner was responsive and very pleasant to communicate with.

  • Great location - down a lane and looking over fields but not far to go for shopping and the beach. Nearby Conwy Bay is glorious long sandy beach and very quiet. The kids loved the big garden and chickens and horses.

    Julia2018-06-01T00:00:00Z
  • Had an absolutely lovely weekend in Kathi’s house. Located very close to Llandudno which is such a pretty town and where we spent most our days. There is so much space in the house and Netflix too which was good for the evenings. Encountered no problems whilst being here. Thanks so much.

  • Cottage is outstanding. Everything you need and much bigger than the pictures portray. It’s super remote with fantastic views but also really easy to get to all areas of snowden. Lovely rooms, kitchen, living area and shared bathroom... we were 5 people and the cottage was perfect for us... I would absolutely recommend this cottage.

  • Excellent house and hospitality. We really enjoyed our stay in Northern Wales.

    Joshua2019-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay in this very welcome clean and comfortable house which manages to combine both a modern and traditional feel. We were greeted with Marianne’s delicious bara brith on arrival which was a lovely touch. The house is minutes from Llyn Geirionydd which is great for running walking and views and close to all the sights and experiences of Snowdonia and the Conwy Valley. It’s a great place to recharge the batteries helped by Marianne’s hospitality.

  • We had a really good stay, well equipped, very hospitable, great location, cost and spacious place. The kids loved it too. Thank you

  • What a wonderful break, feel so relaxed, we loved all the little touches to make us feel at home.

    Sally2018-11-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had fantastic time at Ty Rowan last week. We really enjoyed the welcome pack - home made bara brith cake and bread, they were absolutely delicious. The property is very well-maintained and has all necesarry amenities. This lovely cottage was our base for long hikes across Snowdonia National Park (we've done in total over 50 miles while our 4 "walking days"). Because we had very active rest, we really appreciated double size shower with the rain shower and comfortable beds. I would definitely recommend Ty Rowan (as a place) and Marianne (as a host) for anyone, who needs to "re-charge the batteries" far away from city noise. Thank you very much Marianne and Gareth !

  • If you want to get a bit out of town and love the quiet rural atmosphere Wales has to offer, consider this place. It’s very scenic, has a wonderful short walk to a lake, and the hosts are attentive and thoughtful. Definitely a top quality spot.

  • Lovely cottage in a stunning location. We did a few walks straight from the cottage and even braved a swim in the lake up the road. Really recommend visiting. We had flooding from severe weather but still didn't ruin our stay thanks to how nice the cottage and surrounding area was.

  • Simon was a good host and the room was lovely with a huge comfy bed and a beautiful view. The breakfast was great too with homemade bread baked fresh that morning for us, a lovely touch. Would recommend for anyone visiting the area!

    Emily2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • You could not find a better place to stay in North Wales if you want a great base from which to visit places of interest. The hosts were most welcoming and accurate in what they had written about The Rectory. It had fabulous views, a wonderful feel of history and authenticity as well as being a family home. Simon and Jackie were very knowledgeable of the area (there was a great Pub serving lovely food minutes down the road!) and had gone to great lengths and added many special touches to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable. There was a fridge in the room containing fresh water and milk; freshly baked bread and a lot of local produce for breakfast which was plentiful and the room was spotlessly clean with lots of space. The bed was huge and the linen clean and cool. If you are a dog lover the dogs made all the difference. We would highly recommend and hope to back before too long.

  • Simon & Helen were fantastic hosts. We had all kinds of problems getting there as we had broken down but they rallied round in the morning & helped get us back on our way. Very helpful and hospitable. Thanks guys!

  • Simon was an easygoing, helpful and friendly host. Our stay was fleeting, but he gave great recommendations so we saw the best slices of the area! The Old Ship is a must, the food is fantastic.

  • The Old Rectory is at a perfect location to explore Snowdonia. Nice breakfast and a huge bathroom. Simon is very friendly and has great tips. Everything you need to know is in the description (don’t forget to read the actual directions like we did ;) it will help finding the place more easily).

  • Great hospitality , great night sleep

    Robert2018-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely stay in The Old Rectory. The setting is beautiful and close to many walking, climbing and tourist destinations. The bedroom is airy and spacious and there was a kettle, a selection of hot drink options and biscuits and a fridge in the room which we really appreciated. The best part was the massive bed which was really comfortable. The bathroom was equally as lovely with a large bath tub and separate shower. For breakfast we had cereals and yoghurt as well as fresh bread, which was delicious. Overall we had a lovely stay and really recommend a stay at the house.

This ancient, stone-built cottage offers a luxurious getaway in the heart of North Wales, minutes from Snowdonia, Conwy and Llandudno. The cottage has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard, and features a peaceful, nature-filled garden with far-reaching views. You don't want to miss out on the huge two-person soaking tub, perfect to relax in after a day's hiking. This is our home away from home that we want to share while we travel, and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
The cottage is hundreds of years old, and as such is a cosy, characterful space. The cottage is warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and is filled with art, colour, comfortable furniture and interesting objects. We both love to walk, and after a day up in the mountains, nothing is better than a soak in the two-person round, stone bathtub in the "post-apocalyptic chique" bathroom, or sitting on the Japanese cedarwood stool under the pouring rainfall shower. The bathrooms have heated floors; one slate, one copper - we hope you like our twist on traditional Welsh materials. After a soak, it's time for dinner. Take your pick from al fresco in the garden under the apple tree, sometimes with a roaring fire in the firepit, or dine at the hardwood peninsula in the fully-featured kitchen, on tractor seat (from actual tractors) stools. They have the seal of approval from my 86 year old grandfather, so it goes without saying that they're comfortable. Once you've dined, it's relaxation time - let the dishwasher deal with the hard stuff, and either kick back in the living room in front of the enamelled barge stove and TV, or relax in the summer-house in the garden, watching the sun set over the mountains, while sheep and birds serenade you. Finally, it's time for bed. Upstairs, the two bedrooms each offer space for two - the master has a king-sized antique bed (antique, as it is in part 17th c. and in part 19th c., but has very 21st c. comfort!), 1920's gentlemen's wardrobe, and views to the mountains, and the second bedroom has two 1930's twin beds, and a 1930's wardrobe. Don't forget the aeroplane, I'm told. There's an aeroplane. Hanging from the ceiling. In the master bedroom. I hope you like it. I do.
Apple Tree Cottage is positioned on the edge of Ty'n-y-Groes, with far reaching views to Carnedd Llewelyn. The seaside towns of Conwy and Llandudno are a ten minute drive away, and the picturesque town of Llanrwst is ten minutes in the opposite direction. The mountains, and some really beautiful and quiet walks, are a five minute drive to the west, through Rowen. The nearest large supermarkets (Tesco & Asda) are in Llandudno Junction, ten minutes away. There is also a co-op in Llanrwst, about the same distance away. The nearest pub, Ty Gwyn in Rowen, is a fifteen minute walk, or three minute drive. They have a riverside garden, which is a nice place to stop for a pint (or dinner) after a day in the hills.
  • Me and my 3 friends had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It is beautifully furnished, with very comfortable beds and thoughtful touches throughout. We used it as a base for some wonderful local walks and it was great to come back to a cosy, comfortable place. The huge bath was a welcome luxury at the end of a long days walking and a real treat!

19th Century home within walking distance of Conwy. Ideal location for touring North Wales which has an abundance of things to do including the latest outdoor activity Surf Snowdonia (6.5 miles from the house). The most gorgeous mountains to climb, coastline to walk, beaches to swim and of course the beautiful Bodnant Gardens. Not forgetting the Worlds fastest Zip Wire and the Bounce Below Caverns. Wales is waiting.......
Nice quiet row of terraced houses just off the main road through Gyffin. Parking is available outside the property with no restrictions. Pleasant walk into Conwy, where you will find excellent places to eat and drink. Renowned for our Castle, Conwy also has the most stunning harbour where you can also visit the Smallest House in GB. The town is full of quirky shops, cafes, a couple of art galleries and a pottery.
  • Tried to check in but they weren't there and couldn't get ahold of them then or in the prior 20 hours. As it was around 7:30 to 8:30 at night by this point, I had to book somewhere else at a hotel that night with the kids. Anne made good by refunding my fees as fast as she could. She tried to make things right. Sad that I still lost 40.00 USD on the whole transaction as AirBnB apparently still want8B99DVs their fees apparently? In the end, I am guessing it was just an accident.

  • My family and I stayed in Anne's place for 2 nights and had a great time exploring conwy and Snowdonia. It is a very comfortable place and is a short 15min walk to get to the castle and the water.

  • Lovely place tucked away in the town of Conwy, but within easy walking distance of the castle, downtown shops and restaurants, and train station. Shop just around the corner available for necessities/additional groceries. Be aware, if it rains you may be wakened by the drops thumping loudly on the skylight roof in the bathroom (a midnight shock for me)!! Anne was very responsive and had no issues with booking etc.

  • I visited Llandudno for the weekend with my three friends. The house was great, cozy and clean! Other than the fact that the heater in the living room didn't work properly, we really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend it!

  • A truly wonderful few days spent in Conwy with my family. House is very stylish, clean and comfortable. Conwy is very beautiful and everyone extremely helpful and friendly. Lots to do with teenage children Surf Snowdonia, Zipworld, white water rafting and of course climbing Snowdon, all within half an hour from Conwy. We will definitely be back!

This charming 2 story terraced cottage sits on a quiet lane beneath the town walls in the heart of this historical and fascinating town. There is so much to see and do, all without even needing your car. There is a great selection of shops, bars restaurants, and the beautiful quayside is a wonderful spot to sit and enjoy a cold drink in The Liverpool Arms, a quayside pub with rather special views. The cottage itself sits beneath the town walls which are are one of the finest sets in Europe, almost completely enclosing the old town.Close by is the magnificent Conwy Castle, a must-see attraction for your visit. If you do wish to venture further, the rather spectacular Bodnant Gardens are only a short drive away and are open all year round. For the more active visitor, you could try your hand at surfing at Surf Snowdonia. There really is so much to see and do in and around Conwy. • The location of of Jackdaw Cottage is extraordinary for exploring Conway as well as the Snowdonia Mountains and other attractions in the vicinity. The interior space is very warm and cozy, thoughtfully decorated, and has many extra touches such as puzzles, books on the shelves, etc. The kitchen is well-supplied with everything one might need. One of the nicest amenities of the cottage is the small patio off the second level with a view of the wall. It is a lovely space for sitting or even having a meal at the table on the patio. The whole cottage has both excellent natural lighting as well as interior lighting. When we arrived, the host had thoughtfully left a bottle of wine, and Welsh bread to welcome us. The only drawback is the parking issue. One must be prepared to find alternative parking other than the street in front of the cottage which is impossibly narrow, on a hill, and crowded with cars. Some days there was not any space or it was difficult to exit, or there was a car parked right up against your door. There was one area not far from the cottage where we could sometimes find parking, but most days it was full, which necessitated finding a public parking lot where you had to pay. One could pay for a day’s parking, which was reasonable (4 pounds for the day and 50 pence for overnight). But you do have to make sure you get back to your car by 6:00 PM to add the overnight parking. We determined that even with the parking issue, Jackdaw is an excellent value, in a great location, and we would return again or recommend it to another.
