  • Sunit's place is super easy to access, great location for down town Minneapolis! Super comfy bed, and very quick communicator. Thanks!

  • I stayed at Sunit's place for a few days and it's been a pleasure. Nice house, Sunit was helpful with any question I had. The place is located in a nice dorm area very close to a nice center with places to eat and shop. Nothing but praise, if you're considering this place I'd go for it!

  • I was in town for a few events and to prepare for a move soon, so my boyfriend and I were away every day and didn't get to spend any time with Sunit. I will say the bed was super comfy, and the location was great. We could catch a bus a block away and take it to most places/other lines in the city. Even though we didn't get to talk face-to-face, Sunit was very helpful via text. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

    You’ll love my place because it's a very simple and quiet. The neighborhood is a peaceful place and the house is very peaceful as well. If you are looking for a relaxing experience that is walking distance from restaurants and cafes this is a great spot for you. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers. The house is 8 blocks from the university and 1 mile from the hub of West Bank;
It is just me (and the cat) living here so it is a very quiet house. I work during the days teaching ESL and am home in the evenings. The place is very spacey and simple. Note: There is Wifi internet at the house.
I live right across the street from a very nice park that is on the Mississippi River.
  • Very functional and comfortable room, decent proximity to downtown

  • Janet is a wonderful host, the house is pretty and in a nice area. If you stop by the Twins, I highly recommend it. Probably my best experience with Airbnb so far.

  • Janet was a tremendous host. She made me feel welcome and her son even shared a meal he cooked with me! Everywhere is close and easily accessible, downtown, freeways and the university. You are no more than 15 minutes from everywhere including St. Paul. Janet was also very warm, friendly and acessible. My stay was very good!

    Dylan2018-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • My experience at Janet's is one I will always treasure! She took the time to meet with me at check-in and she and her son were incredibly kind and inclusive while remaining respectful of my time and space. The room itself is spacious and secluded and is located off the main floor up a flight of stairs. There is street parking that is available at most times throughout the day, and the home is located within a ten minute drive from downtown which was perfect for my purposes. I would love to stay with Janet again when I return to Minneapolis!

  • I really recommend the people who want to go to Minneapolis and have fun, Janet is a really a kind person and we spent 20 days happily with her!

We invite you to stay in our home! We have a cozy guest bedroom available in our quiet, two-story home built in the 1920s. Located in the Southeast Como neighborhood, our home is conveniently situated near the University of Minnesota, TCF Stadium, and Dinkytown - about a 15 to 30-minute walk to any of these locations. Guests love our home because of how close it is to the University of Minnesota. A great location for visiting students, alumni, parents, and those attending conferences on campus.
*Looking for travel credit? Sign up here and you'll get $40 towards your 1st stay: www.airbnb.com/c/kha107 --- Hi there! We are Kevin and Caitlin and we are two young professionals living in our two-story, single family home with our 17-pound dog Charlotte. Our house is an older home that was built in the 1920s and contains the original woodwork and built-in cabinets. We live in the Southeast Como neighborhood of Minneapolis, a lively student neighborhood located just north of the University of Minnesota. We enjoy meeting new people and decided to rent out the spare guest bedroom in our house. Our house is conveniently located close to the main University of Minnesota campus and is also a short Uber or Lyft ride to Downtown and Northeast Minneapolis. Our guest room features an Alexander Signature Series Mattress from Nest Bedding™. Guests often say that it's one of the best mattresses they've ever slept on! The guest room also comes with a small desk, nightstand, table lamp, dresser, and closet. The door to the guest room has a latch that locks from the inside for travelers that might want additional privacy. If you're interested in staying with us, please tell us a little bit about yourself and what brings you into town. We want to make sure you have a great stay in our home! ***For summertime guests - please note that we do not have air conditioning in our home. The temperatures in Minneapolis during the summer are usually in the mid-80s and in the 70's during the evening, so A/C usually isn't necessary (one of the perks of living in Minnesota), but if you're especially sensitive to heat, you might want to consider a different place.***
The Southeast Como neighborhood is a quiet neighborhood conveniently located north of the University of Minnesota campus and a short bus ride, Uber/Lyft ride, or bike ride to Downtown and Northeast Minneapolis. The neighborhood is a mix of college students, young families, and older folks that have lived in the neighborhood for years. There are a number of dining options located just a block away from our house. - The Blue Door Pub is considered one of the best burgers in the Twin Cities and the restaurant has great local beers on tap. We come here pretty often. The wings are really good too. - Ramen Kazama is a new Ramen spot that opened up right around the corner from our house. It's one of the most highly rated Ramen spots in Minneapolis and is highly recommended! - Black Coffee and Waffle Bar serves top notch waffles and is great for getting a cup of coffee in the morning. It's also a good study spot if you need to get work done. - Football Pizza serves some of our favorite pizza in the Twin Cities. Really convenient if you're looking for some good food you can take to go. - The Dinkytown neighborhood is a short 10-minute walk away and has great bar and restaurant options that cater primarily to the college crowd. We especially like eating at Shuang Cheng, Pagoda, and Loring Pasta Bar. - The University of Minnesota campus is also about a 15 to 30 minute walk away depending on where on campus you are looking to go. Our location is great for visiting students, alumni, parents, or people traveling for conferences on campus.
  • Very good and clear information and easy host to be around! Really helpful whenever I had questions. A pleasant stay.

  • Great room to stay in if you are doing work with or visiting the university of Minnesota. About a 10 min walk or a 9 dollar uber.

  • Kevin and Caitlyn were wonderful hosts - so friendly and pleasant. They used a downstairs bathroom so I was the only one using the bathroom next to the bedroom so it felt like an ensuite. Impeccably clean bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Very homey and felt very welcomed and free to use the house. Their dog is soooo sweet. Loved my stay!

    Nadine2017-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin and Caitlin's place was clean, comfortable and quiet. We never actually met Kevin but he was fantastic about updating us on information prior to our stay and fast at responding to inquiries during our stay. The two dogs were friendly and excited to have people around. When our plans changed at the last minute and we left a day early Kevin insisted on refunded us for the night which was not expected, but greatly appreciated. I would not hesitate to stay with Kevin again if we were ever wanting to stay in the area again!

    Kat2016-05-23T00:00:00Z
  • Kevin and Caitlin's place was a perfect stay for our quick day trip to Minneapolis. Very responsive and informative with instructions for staying at their place. Caitlin greeted us kindly when we arrived and recommended a great bar around the corner with excellent brews and food! The bed was cozy and room was warm and toasty on a cold Minnesota evening.

  • The hosts and the space were super! The hosts were friendly, responded quickly, had excellent communication and information about the stay and nearby amenities.

  • The House was easy to access and the location to Minneapolis and St Paul was awesome. The house is very clean and has a cozy feel to it. Jane, the host, is sweet and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Also, the dogs were lovely.

  • Jane was kind and quick with communication. Her place was clean, cute, and comfortable. We appreciated the easy check in and the thoughtful touches she put in the space.

  • Jane was an amazing host! She did an incredible job of communicating the check in process and providing directions. The place was wonderful and had great little amenities such as a microwave, snacks, breakfast items, and coffee! She left an extra blanket as it was very cold outside which was very thoughtful. The bed was very cozy and the room was very large, I would definitely stay again, thank you!

This is a real practically brand new bed (no longer an air mattress as a few old reviews from over a year ago mention). A window unit air conditioner is in the room. It's a cozy room on the main floor of my place. As you can see, I've got dozens of positive reviews over the years. My place is close to parks, restaurants, and coffee shops. You’ll love the place because of comfy bed, the coziness, and the location. It's good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (small pet fee).
Most guests love that there's a great bar/restaurant down the road and more awesome restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and convenient stores about 6 blocks away. Not to mention, Dinkytown is within a 15 minute walk.

  • Nice location, easy to get to. But it wasn’t clean. We didn’t feel comfortable using the shower as there appeared to be mold. As I put it, it would be fine if it was my buddy who offered me a free night to stay, but given that we paid and that’s part of airbnb I expected cleaner. I also am not sure I would have felt safe staying there if I was by myself. We didn’t have any issues for the record but the doors didn’t lock well.

    Kelly2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tidy and clean room with a comfortable bed, cozy house in a quietish neighborhood, pretty close to transit that will get you to the University of Minnesota or downtown Minneapolis. Lou is friendly and considerate! Would definitely stay again.

  • Emily was a wonderful host, and the apartment made for a great weekend get-away . The loft decor sets a nice tone, and the fully equipped kitchen gave us the opportunity to cook up some family favorites. We enjoyed walking to the neighborhood restaurants & strolling the university campus. We’re looking forward to our next visit!

  • Thanks for a wonderful stay! This place is perfect for anyone visiting the University of Minnesota, I can't imagine any place better. INCREDIBLY clean and Emily was very gracious and extended us some special favors that topped it all off. It is a beautifully decorated and cozy space, and small touches like waters in the fridge and a variety of K-cups for guests went a long way. If our son goes to U of M we will definitely be staying there for visits in the future. Thanks again!

    Christina2016-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • The hosts and room were fabulous! Clean and inviting as usual. We arrived after 11pm and the host was there with a smile to greet us and show us around. Plenty of great food and sights in the neighborhood and the campus is beautiful. This is our go-to place when visiting Minneapolis.

    Kristen2015-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Greg and Emily were great hosts! They helped with checkin, recommendations locally and had a spectacular place. I felt at home and completely comfortable reaching out if need be. I loved how close I was to Dinkytown and the local bikes were amazing! Minneapolis has done a fantastic job. The apartment was nearly on campus and I was able to watch a football practice and scout some rugby as well. Bummed they didn't invite me to play :p (but I'm long graduated from college). I would love to stay here again and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to spend some time in Min, check out the U of M campus or explore a funky town slight north of DT Minneapolis. All the best, - J

  • Our 3rd airbnb stay in Minneapolis and the best location so far if you are there for a student the U. Excellent location with awesome views of the baseball, track and football practice fields. Wonderful apartment, comfortable beds, plenty of linens, LOVED that there were free laundry facilities AND soap was provided! Just about anything you would want is within walking distance but also super convenient to highway access as well. Emily and crew could not have been nicer. We will def be staying again!

    Rebecca2019-05-15T00:00:00Z
  • Greg and Emily were ideal hosts and the loft was very cozy.

    Alison2016-12-18T00:00:00Z
  • Emily was amazing! The unit, 305, was as described. The building itself was secure and clean. It sits literally across the road from the U of M' s athletic facilities, parking is on site and it's a short walk to Dinkeytown. The building is by train tracks but you don't hear the trains as there were very few and the building is historic...thick exterior walls! We had everything we needed in the unit along with fun extra touches. It was perfect for a minneapolis weekend getaway with our two boys, ages 2 and 5--as well as a night whwn my inlaws stayed. We did the science museum, Surly, Fulton, Wayzata arts festival and a few other things. I would highly, highly recommend the place and host for any age group.

  • Excellent setup. Highly recommend this place. Other than being close to the University (10 minute walk), there's also plenty of food nearby (I like the pizza-by-the-slice place 2-3 blocks away).

  • This was a great location for an event we attended at Surly Brewing. We could easily walk and avoid all the traffic. For the price, it was about what I expected in terms of amenities. Although the unit is in an apartment style building, it was quiet.

  • This loft space is incredibly modern, spacious, clean and perfect for large groups. Emily is an incredibly attentive and accommodating host

    Patryk2017-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Greg & Emily have a great space that accommodated our large group of 11 people perfectly! If you stay here, make sure to check out Wally's for middle eastern food (the chicken shawarma is phenomenal!) which is a short walk away. There is plenty of parking space for multiple cars and the kitchen is well suited for cooking real food. They were very professional to deal with logistically and I would definitely stay with them again. 5/5 stars!

    Isaac2016-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Greg & Emily were great hosts and very accomodating! The Loft has a great location in Dinkytown and was great experience. Would recommend over downtown Minneapolis hotels!

    Nolan2016-04-25T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved the space. Although the ceilings are high and the vibe is chic, the space is cozy. With a few lights and a few decorations, it was a perfect space for our family Christmas away from home. We appreciated all of the staples, soups and goodies we found in the kitchen. One important thing is how quickly folks respond to unforseen crises. We had a Christmas Day catastrophe when the smoke alarms started beeping-and Greg got someone out quickly to replace the battery. Many thanks! We will be back!

    Patt2015-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Really excellent hosts, the loft is absolutely beautiful and is much more impressive in person.

We hosted most of our wedding party here for our wedding weekend and everyone was so amazed at the spaciousness, cleanliness, and beauty of the place. Everything was topnotch and we especially loved how it was a loft to facilitate great group dynamics. If you want a place that has it all, don't hesitate to book this one!

A unique and fun space with an open floorplan, vaulted ceilings, lofted bedroom, library, and cozy ☀️ porch! Enjoy fast internet, TOP ☕ coffee, and free Netflix while staying at the Loft. Our central location gives EASY access to the entire city: US Bank Stadium: 1.5 miles University of Minnesota: 0.5 - 1.5 miles Minneapolis Convention Center: 2.5 miles Check out our ☕☕☕☕☕ reviews: https://www.airbnb.com/users/21803431/listings?user_id=21803431&s=50 Make the Lilac Loft your home base in MPLS!
We strive to keep our space comfortable and clean. Art collected from local and world artists, and a simple mixture of modern and antique furnishings create an eclectic, personal feel. Having traveled a lot ourselves, we know how important home base is. With this in mind, we've worked hard to make your trip to MPLS as comfortable as possible. From the furnishing and art to the coffee, Nest thermostat, Netflix on us, and blazing fast internet, we've been refining the details so that your stay with us is fun, easy and effortless. Parties: We do not allow parties or "get togethers" in our spaces. Plus, it never ends well. We always find out, the party gets broken up and the night is just wasted for everyone :( Pricing: We've begun using a tiered pricing system based on the number of guests. This allows us to offer a lower price and make ourselves more available to individual guests while still covering the costs of maintaining our high standards for multiple guests. It all works automatically through Airbnb, just enter the number of people in your group and the price will reflect it accordingly! Free coffee, local brews: I work for a coffee importer and so am able to select and personally roast coffees from all over the world. This coffee is literally in the top percent of coffee on the planet and the Loft is set up with all the equipment that you'll need to get the most from it and enjoy every drop! Additionally, we have a huge craft brew scene here in the Twin Cities and we stock the fridge with a few selections from the Twincy grand-daddy of them all- Summit Brewing! The (actual) Loft: Please be aware that the bedroom is lofted, and access is via a vertical ladder (see photos). If you prefer not to climb a ladder to bed, then we would be happy to set up the couch bed for you in the front room. Just let us know! Or check out our other listings, which each have standard bedrooms (no ladders, just doors!)
The West Bank is a small neighborhood along a quiet park right in the heart of MPLS- at the junction of the fantastic, creative and diverse Seward and Cedar-Riverside neighborhoods. Access to the entire city is easy: Right across the river from the University. Less than 2 miles to US Bank Stadium and Downtown MPLS. 3 miles to the Target Center and Target Field. 4 miles to the Art Institute and the Walker. 5 miles to the Lakes and only a couple minutes walk to the River!
  • Great place to stay, walkable to UM campus, next to a park that you can walk day and night! Very quiet place.

    Wendy2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • Such an adorable space, close to so much, & wonderful hosts!! I would stay there again!

    Kate2018-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This house looks just like the pictures! Very clean and thoughtful amenities. Grace even provided decaf coffee at our request. Great communication before and during the trip except for one snafu. The wrong door code was provided for check-in and we couldn’t reach them for a bit but we took them up on one of their recommendations and headed to a nearby brewery so all was good and easily fixed. When a storm was coming in, Grace reached out to provide us with helpful info and recs in case we got snowed in. I would highly recommend this place; probably the best Air BnB I’ve stayed in yet.

    Cassie2018-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Ian and Grace were model hosts! Kind, punctual in their responses, and spot on with their recommendations. The loft is a great location for anyone looking to be within easy driving or Lyft distance of plenty of great things on offer in Minneapolis. Worth every penny!

    John2018-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • It’s stylish, homey, and immaculately clean. The sun porch is a cozy treat, and the coffee really is the best in Minneapolis (and that’s saying something). Tip: brew a cup of coffee and watch the steam dance lazily thru the rays of morning sunlight.

    Joseph2018-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and hosts were very responsive. Loved the neighborhood.

    Carl Ashford And Kristin2018-06-25T00:00:00Z
  • Ian & Grace's place is fantastic! All the amenities provided are well thought out, it makes the stay so pleasant. It easy to feel like home. A nice house for a short or long stay, definitely recommend and would like to stay again.

    Luis2018-04-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Lilac Loft was an ideal place to stay while visiting Minneapolis! 10-15 mins drive from pretty much anywhere, beautiful space with parking in the back, washer/dryer in unit, and across the street from a cute park - what more could you want?! I can’t wait to stay here again on future trips.

Target express and groceries are just a couple blocks away. This apartment is on bus lines, walkable to Light rail, and a quick uber ride anywhere in the Twin Cities!
  • If you want an authentic college apartment experience and only somewhere to sleep, this is the place. The location is great when visiting U of MN. That said, the apartment needs significant updates. It was hard to tell whether or not surfaces were clean due to their age. There were no locks on bedrooms or bathroom doors. Other areas clearly needed cleaning attention, such as a window ledge in the shower area. Tammy was an attentive host and responded to my questions quickly. Accurate and detailed instructions were provided for check-in. We stayed only one night to visit the university. It was adequate for that purpose.

  • Fantastic apartment in the heart of town. Great neighborhood and just a few blocks away from great food joints. Comfortable bed, everything needed for creature comforts, and a parking space to beat all. Kara’s dome a great job setting things up. It’ll be a great place to come back to next time I’m in town!

    Nehemiah2018-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Kara's place. Plenty of space and thoughtful small things. Fast communication. Access is up a couple flights of stairs. We also found it to be quiet during our stay.

    David2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The parking lot is very near to the building. The room is clean and warm in winter. Facilities are modern and convenient to use. Kitchen and dining space is a little bit small. In general, it is a great place to stay.

    Songtao2018-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Nice 1 BR 3rd floor apartment within a few minutes drive of downtown and the University. Off street parking is extremely convenient near stairwell, however the only elevator I could find was in another connected building. Building is older, a little musty, but clean and well maintained. Only real complaint was noise from other tenants on floor, mostly from small children and infants. The snacks and popcorn in the apartment were a thoughtful touch!

    Frank2018-03-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, quiet neighbourhood. Off street parking was nice to have. If you don’t want to drive, bus service in the area seems very good, at least two different routes ( probably more ) stop within a few blocks of the apartment. We took the bus downtown and back for a concert one night, so we wouldn’t have to worry about parking or having a few beers. We had our music with us and it paired nicely with the excellent Bluetooth speaker in the living room. Very nice towels in the bathroom. Bed was pretty comfortable, likewise the living room furniture. Nice dishes and cutlery. Small table with two chairs for dining. Check in was really easy. We had no problems or concerns. Enjoyed our stay.

  • Nothing

    Shayla2019-06-26T00:00:00Z
  • Nice beds and a stylish open living room. Can easily fit up to 8 guests. “Free breakfast” is barely enough food for one person. The price is pretty pricey. Nice space but steep price for something you could easily get in a hotel with hot breakfast and for a cheaper price.

    Sebastian2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is great for University life visits and is a stones throw from downtown and Riverside sight seeing. The building is old and has old building issues, but the value for groups in this space is hard to beat. The building is close to a busy train track so if you like to sleep with the windows open bring ear plugs.

  • Awesome location. About 10 minutes walk to UM campus and 5-minute drive or a short walk to the downtown area. The building is old but the apartment has a modern touch and pretty clean. Kara is very quick to reply our questions. Also the apartment has almost everything needed for a comfortable stay.

    Fang2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great apartment in a great location. The building itself was loud (screaming kids, people singing in the halls, etc) almost the whole time and the halls sometimes smelled of weed, but otherwise no complaints! The place was stocked with everything you could need.

  • This place was in the perfect location and very close to many restaurants and bars. And it was very easy to communicate with Kara.

    Maia2018-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was fine with our stay (August 2018) -- check-in was easy and the apartment was clean and serviceable. The place is conveniently located, and we walked into downtown in about 20 min. The building is a little dorm-like so there's a bit of noise around but not a big deal. You get into the apartment after walking up two levels and down a long hall, so if you have mobility issues it might be tough.

Spacious 1 Bedroom Apartment with 2 queen beds, high speed internet, cable, full kitchen, and completely stocked with anything you will need. Close to The University of Minnesota, the Mississippi River and Downtown. You’ll love my place because of the short walk to The UofM and the easy access to restaurants, bars, grocery stores, the river night life and downtown Minneapolis.
  • Good place to stay in an ideal location next to the University. Building premises are a bit old but appartement is spacious and nice. Guest was avalable for us to answer our questions by message. Thank you !

  • Kara's place was perfect! It was close to everything you could need, clean and easy to access. We would highly recommend this place and would definitely stay there again if we go back to the city.

  • Quick and easy, clean and convenient, great for anything.

    Jacob2019-06-12T00:00:00Z
  • I read several reviews that warned that Kara's AirBnB was a recently renovated apartment in an old apartment building where we might have issues with street noise, cigarette smoke in the hallways, etc. That is the case. The apartment itself is nice, and my brother and I had a fine time there. I did wake up several times during the night to exterior doors slamming and people talking in the parking lot, but that was to be expected. I was rubbed the wrong way with a direct message I received from Kara and an issue with our checkout. I messaged Kara asking for the wi-fi password and she responded with a pw that didn't work. When I said I had already tried that one, she replied, "Minneapolis is having trouble with Xfinity right now." Whether or not that was true, it would have nothing to do with the accuracy of the pw. I feel like I was lied to as an easy way to get me off her back. We never received the correct pw. Even more bizarre - my bother and I left the apartment to get breakfast before checking out. When we got back (20 minutes before check-out time) my brother's backpack was propping the door open and the maid was already cleaning. She claimed that she had been told we already left. I don't know why she would think that when our stuff was still inside and we hadn't returned our key to the lockbox. Overall, the place was fine, and we had a good time. It's a less expensive AirBnB in a trendy spot - and there's a reason for that, and I knew that going in. The wi-fi thing and the weird checkout scenario warranted a lengthy review.

    Kevin2019-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • Was great and the location was perfect for our trip.

    Glenn2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • The location was fine, and the unit itself was pretty clean, though the building is old and messy, with a pretty pungent smell (which was NOT present in the unit). The wifi only worked occasionally, and only on my phone, never on my laptop. The television would work for about fifteen seconds at a time before going dark...then it would turn itself back on, then go off again. Also, the hand soap in the bathroom was extremely watered-down. Someone had very clearly filled an almost-empty bottle with water to make it last longer rather than replace the soap. All in all, the stay was fine, but if other options exist, I'd certainly consider them.

    Clayton2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • It is much nicer inside Kara's apartment than what one expects entering the building and walking down the hallways. You won't be disappointed once you enter this tasteful apartment!

    Pauli2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Kara's place was very clean and had some great touches, towels were plentiful and clean, the beds were very comfortable and there was coffee, and waters in the fridge! The place was clean, a nice tv, and it was very comfortable to stay there. It is apartment living, so you can hear your neighbors once and a while. However, the whole apartment complex is kept up well and we slept great! Location is excellent, very close to the U. Only a 7 min walk to Dinkytown. The only comment I would make is that the instructions could have been sent a little earlier and the instructions before we left was slightly different than the day we checked out (where to leave the key) and we had to make a little detour to follow them. I would definitely recommend Kara's place and plan on booking this again for my next trip to Minneapolis!

From the furnishing and art to the coffee, fast and cozy heat in the winter and cool central air in the summer, Netflix on us, and blazing fast internet, we've been refining the details so that your stay with us is fun, easy and effortless. Free coffee, local brews: I work for a coffee importer and so am able to select and personally roast coffees from all over the world for your stay. This coffee is literally in the top percent of coffee on the planet and we've equipped the Lilac Heart with the equipment that you'll need to get the most out of it! We also have a huge craft brew scene here in the Twin Cities and we stock the fridge with a few brews from the Twincy grand-daddy of them all- Summit Brewing.
  • Very clean, modern space close to downtown with great amenities (coffee, laundry) and comfortable furnishings.

The downstairs apartment is spacious and well-furnished with many cozy amenities that are very helpful in the colder months. The world-class coffee selection with brewing instructions from a professional as well as the selection of locally-brewed beers are great finishing touches. Ideal place to stay for my interview at the U of M!

**Air conditioner newly installed!** Spacious private room with a comfortable queen bed, sofa (which can be converted to a bed to accommodate up to 1 additional person with advance notice), full workspace, closet, and shelves. Functions as a roomy suite; you will not feel cramped in this room! Bright and airy by day, cozy and quiet by night. Within 10 minutes of the U of M campus and downtown Minneapolis, with easy access to highways to get you anywhere else!
You will have this room to yourself during your stay. The house is occupied by 4 male roommates, 2 of whom have rooms on the same floor as this listing. You will share a bathroom with those 2 rooms. It is likely that you will see some or all of these men during your stay, but they plan to keep to themselves outside of a quick hello. On occasion they may have quiet gatherings in the common areas, but there are no loud/late parties.
NE Minneapolis is a vibrant community of artists, students, and professionals. The house is within walking distance to several restaurants and cafes, with a park nearby. This listing is ideal for businesspeople and those who need easy access to the U of M.

  • Awesome and spacious room! There was a desk to do work and plently of outlets. Everything was clean and the hosts were great about flexibility with checking in. Also had some great peanut butter chocolate chip cookies! Os a tad far from UMN campus, but would defintely recommend to anyone staying in the Twin Cities!

    Alex2019-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • First off I’ll preface by saying that this reservation came through for me after another canceled on me. So this was a last minute booking. I was visiting the Twin Cities for a week long work conference. This is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath typical “college house” by UofM. I was also staying during spring break week. There was no issues with cleanliness, although you have to share a bathroom with 3 other guys. My only main negative remark is that one of the nights they threw a small party while I was there. It wasn’t out of control. But they were loud when I was trying to sleep to prepare for a busy day. So just be prepared for that. I am not sure if the other guys in the house are students, but they were there whenever I was home. Again, it’s a good value for the price. Just be prepared for the arrangement.

  • This place was exactly as advertised, if not better. Both Greg and Louise were very prompt answering all of my questions and they provided us with amazing recommendations for the area. • This unit is immaculately clean and recently updated and painted. All the furnishings are new and there are so many thoughtful extras provided, like lotion, kleenex, little snacks, etc. The location was very convenient - we were visiting a U of M student as well as doing some tourist activities in town. It was nice to have a reserved parking spot. The building was quiet on the weekend, and we felt safe there. You should know that the only "living" space to sit and share is a little kitchen table and chairs, and also that it is on the third floor. There may have been an elevator at the front door, but we just used the stairs.

Como neighborhood has easy access to city centers in both Minneapolis and St. Paul, as well as to the University of Minnesota. Parks, bicycle trails, shopping, and restaurants are close by. The cottage is a cozy and bright little hideaway; newly renovated. We welcome all kinds of travelers.
Our little (700+ square ft) urban cottage is a unique and charming private dwelling. The new kitchen has all the necessities. The bedrooms each have a skylight and the beds are new. The dining/living area is spacious and the futon is particularly comfortable. The south facing front porch is great for relaxing and watching the world go by, and yet feels quite private. The sewing machine and quilt frame are in the back of the first floor living area and are in 'storage mode' when guests are in the house.
The Como/University neighborhood is diverse, lively and cosmopolitan. We are in close proximity to the local bar & grill as well as an entire spectrum of ethnic and specialty restaurants and coffee shops. We love being close to the University of Minnesota; the Garden Cottage is positioned between the Minneapolis and the St. Paul Campus. Minneapolis is particularly bicycle-friendly and we are close to an access point to the Grand Rounds Scenic Byway: a parkway that circles the city and brings you to the Lakes, the Mississippi and Minnehaha Falls. We are just a couple blocks from a City Bikes rental station. This is a great spot to stay and attend the Minnesota State Fair!
  • If you like the sights and sounds of the city and the university atomsphere then this is your place to stay! Very nice enjoyed our time. We were in town for a week long training. Barbara and Bob are wonderful hosts. They give you local tips without being too intrusive. We had everything we needed for less than most hotels in the area!

  • Great Mid-century home with tons of living space in a great location! This home had so many features that remind me of the house I grew up in. It is clean and has large room sizes, comfy beds, big TV for watching movies and great internet. I booked this place because it is only 2 blocks from the St. Paul Campus of the University of Minnesota but I was also able to take the UofM shuttle to the Minneapolis Campus so that was an extra convenience I hadn't planned on! I had a meeting at the Hilton Garden Inn downtown Minneapolis, so I took an Uber. It only took 10 minutes and cost $7. This place is centrally located- basically half way between Minneapolis and St. Paul. This is a residential neighborhood- nice and quiet, but there are some businesses within walking distance. I had a burger at Manning's Cafe, about 6 blocks away and had a beer at Insight Brewing micro brewery just 4 or 5 blocks away. Great stay!

Perfect space for 2 people but can sleep up to 4 people. One bedroom with a queen bed. There is also a queen size air mattress available for sleeping up to two more people. • This place is fantastic! This was our first experience in an Airbnb and I dare say I don’t know if I will ever go back to a hotel again! The place was very clean, comfortable and had a beautiful historic charm to it. Location was perfect for any shopping or dining we desired. We appreciated having the whole space to ourselves as well as the complimentary coffee for our morning. :-) Felt right at home. Thank you to Lisa for her quick responses and being available when needed! I hope to stay here again!

  • Paul's place was so, SO gorgeous! Lisa was super quick with communicating everything I needed to know about the space, too! The neighborhood is cute and the building itself was pretty darn amazing from the outside, too! The space was even better in person than in photos somehow. I LOVED the fireplace! Who wouldn't enjoy a (remote controlled!) fireplace in the bedroom?! It was a nice romantic touch to the beautiful bedroom. Loved every moment here. By far one of the best Airbnb spots I've visited in Minneapolis. I will definitely be coming back to this one.

  • We stayed in Julie’s place for a week in December, during a very cold spell for Minneapolis. The place is exactly as described and is very well located for exploring the area. We found it clean and well-equipped with what we would need for our stay. Julie was very quick to respond and met us at the place as planned. We used the bedroom and also the fold-down bed in the front room. We were warm and comfortable. The off-street parking was appreciated. The kitchen is well equipped for preparing meals and storing supplies. We would recommend Julie’s place for a short stay for two people, and for perhaps a longer-term stay for a solo traveler. Excellent value!

  • So much happiness with this one folks. We loved the space, the eclectic decorations, the quiet unplug, the pet friendly brewery around the corner, Julie, the ultra accommodating host is probably the nicest person we have met here so far. So quick to respond and helpful too! The apartment was exactly what we expected! Will book again for sure!

  • B206 was perfect for our stay while visiting the University of Minnesota. Very clean, well equipped and stylishly decorated. The bed was super comfy! Nice welcoming bowl of snacks greeted us. Fridge had water, condiments and coffee creamer probably left from previous visit but a very welcome find! Coffee was in the cupboard. Kite hen was well equipped. Location was perfect for us with easy access to Dinkytown and the University via the Pedestrian Bridge right down the street (10-15 minute walk) as well as an easy 10 minute walk to the Stone Arch Bridge. Neighborhood has a very young, college feel to it but I’m the mother of one of these college students so it was what I expected. The building is definitely a college apartment building but found everyone to be friendly and there wasn’t an excessive noise. We walked around both night and day and felt very safe. On site parking space was right next to entrance.

  • This place was spacious and comfortable and well worth the price. Kara was very responsive, and there was some food (eggs, cereal, coffee) left in the kitchen, which was nice. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in Minneapolis!

    Sarah2018-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Pros:The apartment was very clean! Kara supplies soap, shampoo, and even toothpaste. This is great for traveling by air! The apartment came with a convenient parking place and it was close to The University of Minnesota. Cons: The apartment was very chilly. I think the tile floor makes it feel even colder. We adjusted the thermostat, but we were never able to raise the temperature above 66 degrees. Also, it was very noisy! The neighbors next door were arguing, yelling, and throwing things at each other 2 of the 3 nights we were there. It didn't make for the most restful sleeping conditions!

    Beth2018-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • All other things good, there was a loud ticking noise under the floor (might affect light sleepers).

    Charles2018-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely apartment! Short Uber ride to downtown as well. No complaints!

    Ashley2019-05-05T00:00:00Z
  • Super clean, quiet, and a good location. The bed is on the hard side.

  • Apartment was as expected, check-in process was straight forward. No interaction with the host and the apartment is set up strictly as a rental so if you're looking for a charming place with a local host to help you out, this is likely not it. If you want a clean, convenient place close to public transit, this apartment is a nice choice.

    Trevor2019-06-19T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, spacious apt. Parking on site was an added plus.

  • We were visiting U of Minn for a swim meet and wanted a place to stay close to campus. The apartment was more than we could have asked for! We were able to park at the facility and walk to the pool. Michael and his staff went above and beyond with their accommodations! The rooms were clean, relaxing and supplied with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. They worked with our schedule when checking in and answered questions quickly. I would stay here again! Thank you so much for providing us with such a fantastic experience!

Clean, large basement room with private shower (like a suite!) steps away from the U of M/Dinkytown 5 min by bus to downtown. Safe neighborhood with good restaurants, bars, and coffee shops close. 10 min walk to Saint Anthony Falls/Mississippi River. Please note: The shower pressure in the basement is extremely strong for some and the sink makes a loud noise when you start it. The low price of the room references this, if this is uncomfortable for you please use the upstairs shower. THANKS.
This is a basement room in a lovely, cosy house in a great, safe and central location. It is in the basement and has it's own shower and bathroom so will be like your own little studio seperate from the rest the house. There is huge, comfy Ikea bed in this room that is large enough for 2. Located right in Dinkytown close to Downtown and the U of M. FREE WI FI. Plenty of space. Clean bathroom and kitchen can be used at your disposal. The beautiful Stone Arch Bridge is a 10 minute walk away. you can get a Nice Ride bike and go on a very scenic bike ride with many bike paths in the area. For the size of the room, house and location you will not find a better price in Minneapolis. I will provide fresh bed linens, towels, shampoo, soap, etc. There is free coffee/tea/toast etc in the kitchen. Help yourself!
Safe, urban and vibrant neighborhood in the heart of the city. Great for foodies, plenty of amazing places to eat and supermarkets close by. and downtown and the lightrail (to get to the airport and Mall of America) is less than a 10 min bus ride away.
  • Sunit was a very great host. He accommodated us well and didn't force us out before he went to work so we could leave on our time. He let us in when we needed to, even at odd hours in the morning. Highly recommended.

    Marshall2016-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Sunit was an awesome host. I met him and we got to know each other better by conversing. Parking in the back, shower and iron/ironing board all ready for use. Sunit basically opened his place and I felt like I lived there for awhile.

    George2016-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a great deal. Quiet, private and off-street parking.

    Noah2016-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Sunit's place was great. I really appreciated his flexibility and accommodating hospitality as he let me drop off my luggage prior to check in. The place was spacious, quiet, and comfortable, and the location is great. Sunit was a great host and he provides coffee/tea/donuts for breakfast, which is a nice touch!

  • Easy and smooth check-in to a comfortable place which we came to love as a home. My husband and I stayed for two weeks and it was a pleasant 20 mins walk to the university hospital. The home is equipped with almost all the basic neccessities. Had the pleasure of meeting some really wonderful guests during our stay which included visiting students, parents and some visiting professors at the university. Walking distance to the Dinkytown market and Target for groceries. Most of the bus stops are 1-2 blocks from the house. Would love to stay here again if we ever came back to Minneapolis.

    Harrison2017-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sunit was welcoming and friendly! Check with the host to see if you need to bring your own bed linens.

    Kate2015-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sunit communicated very well with me by text and enabled me to easily check-in despite a delay in my arrival time. The room was clean, private, and quiet. My room was in the basement with a shared front door entrance and living room. Also had my own bathroom. Overall, great experience as a cheap lodging option in a great location and exactly what I was looking for.

  • Prospect Park Gem! Great value, central safe and beautiful location near light rail and U of M, this house is highly recommended. I was here for a conference downtown and the proximity to everything was great. the neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Luke is super responsive and the place was/is spotless. Old home but updated for your convenience. CHECK IT OUT!!
