  • It's a convenient hostel for travelers who are alone or with friends and have not a big budget or will explore so much the city (and trust me Bath is so amazing that the free tour won't let you have any day free) and just need a place to rest. Very good location, close to the historic buildings and stores. The only issue, in my opinion, is the common area that is a lit bit dark and smell must. It need a revamped to become a airy and clean place. There is no kitchen, only a microwave what was for me enough. I like the card as a security way to get in and out, make sure you keep it to yourself all the time even If you go to bathroom; you will need it for the room's door. If you are a person who likes a complete booking like room and breakfast included, you should go straight to their website and book with them because if you do it the breakfast will be included other wise, by Airbnb, you won't have it. at least you book separated.

  • The perfect location in Bath to stay! The staff are super friendly and helpful. It was my first time ever staying in a hostel and I stayed in a 6 bed all female dorm, and it outweighed my expectations.

  • Great location, had a pleasant stay

    Gen2019-06-17T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very clean, the bed if comfy. But it’s located above a very noisy pub, in a noisy street. Also, one bed of the female’s room it’s very noisy. There aren’t any hooks in the unissex bathroom which makes harder to manage everything to have a good bath. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend this place but with some restrictions.

    Natália2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, accessible to most tourist spots and restaurants in Bath. I recommend that you get one of those free earplugs they offer as soon as you check in so that you won't be bothered by people coming in late into your shared room. Otherwise, book a private room or hotel. This place is good value for money especially for backpackers. Cheap, clean and friendly staff.

  • The location is perfect, right in the centre. Easy check-in and comfortable beds.

    Aditi2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • For budget travelers, it can’t get any better than this. Kudos to the chill room, love the microwave. Also love the charging points in the bed frame. Nice location, cosy. Can get abit noisy at night as the pub is on the 1st floor. Bring your own towels and flip flops (and maybe a sleeping bag too).

Indulge in a glorious spa treatment at the Thermae Spa. Then relax at home on a plush white couch amidst stately arched windows and high ceilings. This stylish apartment features a spacious bedroom with French doors opening onto a private balcony. .
Johnstone Street is part of the architect Thomas Baldwin’s grand late 18th century designs for the Bathwick extension to the city. It is named after William Johnstone who, in 1767 became Sir William Pulteney - reputedly the wealthiest man in Great Britain - and the landowner who created the world famous architectural heritage of the Pulteney Estate. The apartment has all the lovely historic detail for which Bath is renowned worldwide. There are high ceilings with elaborate decorative cornicing, light pouring from immense sash windows, a grand original decorative marble fireplace, sparkling chandeliers and to the front, views of an elegant Bath stone terrace with the distant vista of wooded hills. To the rear is a peaceful sunny balcony with an extending awning for rain or shine. This balcony is perfect for alfresco drinks or morning coffee while you take in the breath-taking view of the weir. Boldy decorated with verve in rich deep with paler greys contrasted with flashes of crimson and gold, the apartment blends striking historical detail with contemporary living. The open plan living, dining and kitchen area is framed by two huge arched sash windows, complete with working shutters. Between these is an elegant dining table to seat 4. There are 2 white sofas also seating 4 and a freeview TV on a sideboard containing books and games. The glossy grey fitted kitchen has a quartz stone worktop and includes an induction hob, an oven, a small dishwasher and fridge with freezer compartment. A large traditional alcove cupboard contains a microwave, crockery, cutlery, glassware and a good range of cooking equipment along with recycling crates. The glamorous bedroom has a sumptuous 6’ double bed and impressive floor to ceiling windows with gracious French doors leading onto a stylish balcony overlooking Beazer Maze (a petite labyrinth), Pulteney Weir, and the city glimpsed through the trees. There is a large antique wardrobe with drawers and a dressing table with chair. Flanking the majestic fireplace with its plaster bust of Apollo are two delightful mustard coloured art deco chairs with side tables and lamps. Listening to the murmur of the river Avon, it’s hard to believe that you are at the centre of a bustling city and only around the corner from Baths’ historic sites, shops, bars and restaurants. The smartly tiled contemporary bathroom continues the blend of historic and contemporary style. There is a large walk-in shower and a hand-basin mounted on a smart cabinet with storage. Above is an opulent Georgian mirror with a mythical carved ‘Ho-ho’ bird. Next is the WC with a deep shelf space for additional toiletries. A separate cupboard within the bathroom has a small washing machine and shelf space for laundry, whilst an alcove cupboard in the entrance lobby contains further utility items. The property comes with parking for 1 car for on street parking or is a 10 minute level walk to the Bath Spa train and coach stations.
The home is tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the tranquil running waters of the famous weir. Just around the corner is a vibrant city street lined with restaurants, pubs, convenience stores, and shops. Waitrose supermarket is steps away.
  • Lovely apartment. Thoughtfully decorated and very comfy. Excellent location with plenty of sunlight.

  • Great place to stay and great hosts.

    James2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a special place this is! We stayed three nights here and can honestly say it's one of the best places we've ever stayed in. The apartment: A stunning building with grand rooms that are richly decorated with plaster work on the ceilings- a real Georgian treasure! The decor itself is tasteful and modern while also paying homage to the Roman history of Bath, we especially loved the impressive plaster busts surveying the living spaces. It feels like a space in which the host cares deeply about the interior and making it a special place for her guests, and we appreciated it. Every thing was super clean and tidy, we had everything we could possibly need, and we very much appreciated the extra generous touches in the kitchen. Above all, it is a quiet space, which is really important to me as I'm such a light sleeper. The location: This place is smack dab next to the Pulteney bridge, and the balcony looks over the Beazer Garden Maze and the river Avon - we loved sitting out of the balcony and watching the joyful activities in the park, and in the evenings it became the most peaceful spot to sit and while away the evening. To say this is central is understating things, we were literally on the very doorstep of everything we wanted to see and do, with barely a few minutes walk before we were right in the middle of things - yet the street itself is so quiet and calm - it's not a through road so it's very peaceful indeed, with only residents coming down. The host: Quick responses, polite, attentive and super professional. We were met at the door by a very kind lady who took our bags as we set off to find a spot to park, and who made us most welcome and settled us in before bidding us farewell. There is a really well thought out welcome pack in the apartment with so many great suggestions and local knowledge - much care and thought went into putting this pack together and it shows. I cannot recommend this place enough - for us it was more than we would normally be able to afford, but we thought it well worth the price and well worth lashing out that little extra for what was quite simply a wonderful and truly special place to stay in the heart of Bath. We have many happy memories of staying here and would love to come again!

    Blessin2019-05-17T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in! I can whole-heartedly recommend to anyone looking for something more than just a place to sleep - half of our stay in Bath was just chilling in this beautiful, stylish interior. The welcome was so warm I can safely say it was one of the best experiences I've had recently. Additionally, the property is so close to everything, including the train station, that we could walk everywhere within 10 minutes. Much more than I expected! So worth the price - will most definitely be back here when I'm in Bath next!

  • A great apartment very nicely put together and well styled. It has a great balcony with an outlook over the weir and is all very central. For those driving there is a parking permit which enables you to park in the road too. The kitchen is nicely equipped as when we are they we like to cook. All very good indeed

    Andrew2019-06-09T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful historic flat that looks just like the pictures. The location was fantastic and we were able to walk to all the sites. Everything was nice and clean and the bed very comfortable. The welcome pack that included a bottle of wine, snacks & milk etc was very much appreciated. The small thoughtful touches make a big difference. Would stay again.

Lovely and modern two bedroom flat in the heart of the city-centre, located just metres from the train station and the Roman Baths. The flat is fully equipped with a 65" LED TV, Corner Sofa and 2 Memory Foam Double Beds. Any questions feel free to get in touch.
  • Cute place. Great location. Very close parking. Just know it’s a hike from parking, to main entrance to room if you have little ones or lots of luggage, or disabled. No paper products. Immediately had to find a store.

  • I was conscious that I might be taking a risk booking Larry's place, given earlier comments from guests re: cleanliness. However, I certainly wasn't expecting to arrive somewhere (with overseas visitors) which smelt bad and was so dirty. My friends were very good about it, but joked that it was like their teenage sons had been hired to clean it. We stayed in two other Airbnbs on this trip and they were spotless. Where landlords were sometimes resident, their personal belongings had been packed away (or food all stored in one cupboard) and the fridge, common areas etc all clean/ clear. I acknowledge that Larry works away and some of the finishing touches other hosts provide (e.g. fresh fruit or flowers) might not be possible, but your place didn't even meet basic hygiene standards. I was extremely disappointed. As a result, I am publishing the full details of my review here. Bathroom: Toilet was filthy/ stained (and needed a flush when I arrived!), the corners of the bathroom (including area next to toilet) hadn't been vacuumed/ mopped in weeks, the shower hose is broken, there are stained tiles in bath and terrible water marks next to shower caused by constant water overflow. Something horrible (maybe old flowers?) and lots of dirt needs to be removed from edge of bath tub, between washbasin and glass shower screen. Behind the washbasin pedestal and skirting boards were filthy. Kitchen/ Living Room: Strong stale smell / old cooking smells, despite windows being open when we arrived. Half a loaf of bread and some open milk in the fridge - which clearly had not even been wiped out. Bedroom: Thick layer of dust on skirting board, broken blind in second bedroom (the one without TV), glass tv table in main bedroom dirty/ smeared. Hallway had large carboard box/ delivery in corner and vacuum cleaner - not a particularly attractive place to arrive. Overall the whole flat needs a proper DEEP clean. Incorrect address in Airbnb listing (2 Philip) ... although the correct address/ instructions were provided via email by Larry. Photos show different living room/ layout and furniture - the items there are not nearly as nice as those shown in the photos. Bottled water in photos wasn't provided - nor were snacks, mentioned in listing. The apartment is located centrally, but certainly not worth the price charged given the overall cleanliness. We spent as little time there as possible, especially due to the stale smell. I rented 3 different flats for this trip (we also had accommodation in Stratford Upon Avon and York) and yours was by far the dirtiest. I was embarrassed to have booked this on behalf of my friends (visiting from Australia), with whom I split costs.

  • Location great, check in easy but whole place was absolutely filthy. I would have turned around and walked out if I hadnt just been in a car for 6 hours to get there and had two very tired kids and no hotel rooms available. Real shame as its a great location. Was noisy but expected that as in the centre of town. I had to clean the bathroom before it was useable (toilet was particularly gross) covered in hairs, every cupboard was dirty, dust everywhere and fridge was full of out of date food. I have pictures if this is disputed.

  • David’s place is exactly as advertised. very basic but acceptable. however as stated, the last set of stairs make a large suitcase inconvenient. the lack of a lock on the door is a concern, and the late checkin instructions for finding the place is unclear and difficult.

    Janet2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for 4 nights for my graduation from Bath Uni. Picked the place as it was fairly central and 13-minute-walk from the train station. The room was as expected from the photograph, and the amenities were as listed. However, the list of good things I have to say about this booking ends there. The host was terrible at communication. I messaged him on AirBnb asking if I could drop my luggage off early at the property in the morning but I got no reply for days. I then tried ringing him but no one picked up. Finally, in my 7th attempt he picked up and said it may be possible and I should drop him a message when I get to Bath, so I did. No response when I got there. We also only got wifi for the first day, it stopped working and we couldn't access it anymore since the password seems to have been changed by someone. Contacted the host and he said he hasn't changed it maybe the other guest did and he would contact the phone company in the morning. No update from him after that and we didn't have Wifi for the rest of the stay. Bear in mind, during this period most of my messages both on AirBnB and to his phone went unresponded to and many of my attempt to ring him weren't picked up. A communication and hospitality nightmare.

Central Bath Georgian Flat, park opposite, great views, 2 minutes from restaurants, shops, spa, bars and cathedral in this great historic spa city. A really comfy bed to return to. I don’t share the kitchen or sitting room, and no tea making facilities in the bedroom. The price for this location reflects this. You’re welcome to leave your luggage in the hallway on the day of check out.
2 min walk from the centre of historical Bath, opposite lovely park, and great views, light sunny flat. The bedroom is simple, minimalistic, shabby chic style with double bed and small clothes rail. Lovely views with sash windows. This property is over 200 years old. You may want to know that I wash the bedding myself and don't iron the bedding! :) This is a room in my home and the only one used for airbnb. The floorboards are old and painted white, with wood discoloration showing through. The space is this room and share of small bathroom. Breakfast not provided but great cafes within 2 mins walk.
Lovely park across the road, great old fashioned tiny pub across the road that has Irish music session every Friday evening, couple of minutes stroll into historical Bath, for shopping, museums, cafes, bars and art gallery's, and of course the thermal spa. This property is over 250 years old and full of character. I repaint the floorboards each season but they do get scuffed and marked as the season progresses :)

  • This was a great place to stay! Centrally located and easy to find. The room was small but well organized and clean. My friend and I stayed in one of the rooms with a private bathroom. It was just big enough for two people and quite cozy. The hosts were very welcoming and eager to assist us with anything. A continental breakfast was included as well as discounts on food and drinks at the bar downstairs. I highly recommend this place.

  • The place is really nice and clean! I stayed there for one night before my interview, and it’s really worth it! View from the room is perfect! Right opposite the St. Michael!

    Siria2019-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • The photo posted here on Airbnb was not the room I was given. Another review said that the room had a nice view of the cathedral - this room did not have a view of anything and was right over the fan system of the building and kitchen - it was very loud and so I had to switch rooms. Also the entry to the hostel to check-in is through a bar/restaurant which has a different vibe then what the pictures suggest (if you wanted something a bit more authentic this is not it). It was very nice though that they were able to switch me rooms. It wasn't the room pictured here either but the bed was comfortable and it was much quieter and at the front of the building.

You’ll get access to the entire studio, the building is secure and the entrance is on St John’s Road (BA2)
The building is the converted Sea Cadets club house and has been developed to a high standard, the surrounding houses are built in typical Bath Stone, charming in character and just a wonderful street to walk along.

Conveniently located studio apartment only a 5 minute walk from Bath Train Station. Also, it is a 5 minute walk into the centre of Bath. We can provide close, on road parking and permits are an additional cost.
A beautifully presented garden studio, with its own access. There is a small kitchen with a microwave, a little oven and grill, kettle and toaster. But please note there is no hob. There is a comfortable double bed, and also a shower room. Outside is a sun trap courtyard for alfresco dining.
All of Bath is within easy walking distance, and the studio is adjacent to the beautiful Kennet and Avon canal.
  • Jane was a fantastic host and her place was wonderful! It was large, cozy, and comfortable. Jane had some quick breakfast foods stocked for our stay along with a couple of beers in the fridge, milk, orange juice, and jam! We had a small issue with the shower at one point and she brought a plumber in to sort it out and even cleaned up our mess while we were away. Then she surprised us with some fresh bread from the local co-op! She was extremely kind, accommodating, and very easy to communicate with. If you're going to stay in Bath, I highly recommend staying with Jane!

    Tristan2017-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place to stay with friendly hosts, great setting and very convenient for city centre.

    Penny2017-05-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jane's a great host. Really helpful and communicative, with lots of advice on the things I asked about. I'm sure she'd have more useful info and insight into the local area, had I needed it. The place itself is nice. Very clean and well presented. I was really impressed with the little touches, such as the bottle of beer in the fridge waiting for me, a loaf of bread, milk, tea and coffee (instant and cafetiere), a carton of orange, and other things I can't remember right now. Really good of them. The bed is very firm and comfortable with nice fresh bedding, so I slept very well. It's off the beaten track as well, so it's quiet and peaceful. I was there for two weeks for work reasons, so on a more practical level there were a few things that started to become more apparent. I know the advert clearly says that the kitchen is small, but it's a bit of shock/surprise/frustration how small it really is. If you're "living" there for a while, it's difficult to prepare your own meal. The microwave is fine, but the little oven is very small and doesn't fit much in it, which would/could be a problem if there are two of you. And the fridge is absolutely tiny. Sorry Jane, but I could barely shop for two days, for one person. And there's very little bench space to prep anything even if you had space for it. BUT! On the plus side, it's literally a five minute walk into the centre of Bath, which has tonnes of amazing and varied food places. So you can nip over there. Only downside being it's a bit pricey eating out in Bath every other night. The last thing that needs to be mentioned is access. You get to the place round the back of the house, through the gate. It's next to the canal, which is pretty and peaceful, but it's very dark in places, and, as I was there in winter, it gets full of puddles. So, depending on who you are, you need to be a bit careful with your gleaming white trainers, high heels and/or party frocks. There was building work going on next door, so once through the gate there was some sort of industrial sheeting on the ground . This meant there was a need to be a bit careful again, because the sheeting got full of water/puddles, as did the the "normal" flooring after it. Once your past this, there's the very steep steps to go down. These steps are metal and they get icy, so you have to very careful at times. As I said, I was there in winter, so this won't be all the time, and I'm mainly thinking of an elderly person or a lady in heels, or basically someone that I'm not because it was OK for me. But with the puddles and the potential for ice, it has to be said that it...

  • Perfect place close to city center. Will return for sure

    Hugo2019-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, great accommodation, great value! The bed was super comfy, the WiFi worked wonderfully and Jane had left some breakfast nibbles for us in the kitchen which was a really cute touch! I would highly recommend!

    Carolina2018-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay . It was easily reachable on foot from the train station, yet it felt secure and was very quiet. We loved it backed up to the canal trail and the wonderful, non-touristy shops nearby were a pleasant surprise. When we did go into the heart of the city, it was just a 10-minutes walk away.

    Julie2017-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • Jane's studio was an ideal base for my trip to Bath. Comfortable, quiet and private with everything I needed for a great stay as well as an easy walk over the river to all that Bath has to offer.

  • Great location interesting and close to local amenities, quirky and fun place to stay. Very good hosts and very thoughtful. Would recommend.

Quiet and friendly neighbourhood 5 minutes walk to centre of Bath, rail and bus stations, River Avon, Kennet and Avon Canal and National Truust land with public accessibility.
  • I would highly recommend Jane’s place. Her warm and hospitable welcome (with very detailed thought given to our needs in Bath) signalled that we were going to have a most enjoyable stay in Bath. The house was extremely comfortable and clean, and had everything that we needed, including freshly made pastries! It is very well located for an easy walk into town and in a nice quiet residential area. This will definitely be our home away from home when we are next in Bath!

    Lizzie2017-11-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jane's place was immaculate. The bed was very big (size of 2 singles) and extremely comfortable. The whole flat was wonderfully decorated and had everything you need. I wasn't sure about the walking time advertised as I didn't know Bath that well and thought it was further on the outskirts, but it really is just a 10 minute walk, despite the quiet location! This is by far the best Airbnb we've stayed in in the UK. Only downside is that we only stayed for 3 nights, would have loved to stay longer but work gets in the way :) Jane was a great host - showed us around the flat and had even put supplies for breakfast in the kitchen (makes a huge difference when you have milk in your tea in the morning without having to find a shop) and then she left us undisturbed for the rest of our stay. Check out was simply putting your key through the letterbox. Thanks so much for a stressfree stay!

    Sara2018-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful ground floor flat in a fantastic location. Great pubs and restaurants in Widcombe and easy access on foot into central Bath. The flat was beautifully furnished with all amenities you would require and the courtyard was a great little sun trap.

    Frances2018-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jane’s flat is really beautiful and has got everything you could possibly need and wish for. The location is ideal with the city centre only a short and pleasant walk away. The parking permit is another really great thing if you come by car. Jane’s husband met us at the flat and gave us a very warm welcome. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely come again.

    Birgit2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Location was brilliant, we had a lovely walk along part of the skyline walk and very easy to get into the centre of Bath. Lovely unexpected touches of fresh milk and breakfast goodies. Very well stocked kitchen and amazing shower! We had everything we needed for a lovely long weekend in Bath. Great place to stay!

    Helen2018-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jane was very gracious after our arrival was delayed first by plane and then by train. The flat was clean and welcoming. Great croissants and chocolate really hit the spot as well as yoghurt and tea. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was a nice size. There were two TVs, but we didn't use them. She provided a multitude of tourist attraction brochures. It is obvious that Jane and Peter have put a lot of thought and effort into making this flat work for their guests. In other words, it was the complete package - home away from home.

    Sonja2018-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for two weeks, and had a great time. It is very comfortable, cosy, the kitchen is well equipped, and attention has be paid to every detail .

  • Lovely, clean and comfortable apartment! A very short stroll to Bath city centre. Great communication with Jane who was a great host, and kindly allowed me to check in early and also provided me with coffee and cake on my arrival. A lovely place to explore Bath from. Thank you Jane! Will be returning again.

Central apartment located in the famous Abbey Square with breathtaking views. Just seconds from all that Bath has to offer, including, at this time of year The Christmas Market, which will run from the 23rd of November until the 10th Dec. It's safe, warm and beautifully decorated with interesting works of Art and sculptures dotted around. The kitchen is lovely and the atmosphere is relaxed.
You will hit the road running with local info of the best places to go having been a professional tour guide. The apartment is truly unique both in it's stylish layout, incredible views and an eclectic arty space.
  • Clean, stylish, very central location ideal for all the sights. Walking distance from train and bus stations. Very welcoming host

  • Very stylish apartment right in the centre of historic Bath. Up a few stairs but comfortable and convenient. Great communication and updates from host.

    Clive2018-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a brilliant location, practically can open the window and reach out to touch the Abbey. Metres from the Roman Baths as well. Lovely views onto the square.

  • Seth has a gorgeous flat full of artworks, greatly located in the center of Bath. We didn't have any problem finding it or communicating with Seth, he was very welcoming and gave us some ideas of things to do. He has an energetic and kind dog, and everything was clean and comfortable.

    lena2017-08-07T00:00:00Z

  • This was my first time using AirBnB and despite horror-stories I was pleasantly surprised both with the general service and my host. I stayed in a spacious, comfortable private room in a beautiful apartment in the very centre of Bath (right next to the Cathedral and Roman baths). For an apartment in the city centre, it is a quiet place to stay and you'll get a good night's sleep. Other brilliant features included: - Wi-fi, towels and other essentials were cheerfully provided. - Access to a modern and clean kitchen. - Main bus stops are seconds away from the front door. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others as well. The price when I stayed there was almost half the price of a night's stay in the very cheapest hotel I could find. I made the right choice staying here instead.

Small and cosy, this little cabin in the garden is basic, but hopefully has everything you need for a short break in Bath. A double bed, little shower room with sink and loo, kitchenette with kettle, toaster and fridge, desk and wifi. Free parking on site. And the centre of the city is a few minutes' walk away.
It’s happy chaos here with a dog and two cats in the main house who will probably saunter over and try and persuade you to let them in. The cabin is a 5x3m little oasis of calm . Just ask if there’s something you need or want info on. We are only a few minutes walk from Great Pulteney street, the Holburne museum, river, shops and cafes and the best bits of town. The cabin is accessed by a side gate. Please note that the access isn't level, with a few steps and rickety bits. The cabin is directly behind the main house, so is overlooked.
We have a lovely park behind the house, just a short walk through the churchyard. At the end of the road is great pulteney street and pulteney bridge. You can take a boat (£5 one way) from there up to Bathampton Mill (pub) which does good food and has a great view of the river and weir. From there you can walk back along the canal or take the boat back. The Holburne museum is close by , as is the rugby ground (the ‘rec’) and the Abbey. Bath has wonderful cafes and restaurants and boutique shops . Good times to visit include the Bath festival (May/June), Christmas markets (Nov/Dec) and the first Sunday of every month (Mar to Dec) for nearby Frome independent market .
  • Perfect place to stay in Bath, location is amazing so close to the city centre. Sonia and her daughter were both really friendly! The space itself had lovely touches, like flowers, tea & biscuits! Really comfortable bed and good size shower. Would recommend and definitely book again when I visit Bath. Plus Sonia has the cutest dog & cats!

    Faye2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and lovely studio. We had great fun playing with the black and white cat too :)

    Lisa2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • What an absolute joy it was to stay at Sonia’s lovely cabin. Brilliant location, great accommodation filled with thoughtful touches, spotlessly clean and a host for whom nothing was too much trouble. Bath is a lovely City but our stay was made all the more pleasant for staying at this super place. Wholeheartedly recommended on every level.

  • Cosy-clean-comfortable-COSY CABIN.

    Mari-Ann2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sonia's place is lovely. The cabin is big enough for two people (my boyfriend is 6ft2 and he was fine!). Sonia has a lovely dog and two very cute cats (one is nosier and friendlier than the other) which I saw as a massive bonus. I've not stopped talking about them to my friends. The bed is very comfortable and as a fussy pillow person, I had a very good night sleep. There is a fan available if the nights are too warm. There's a small 'kitchen' area which is enough if you're there for a weekend. There's a small fridge, kettle ,toaster and sink. The bathroom is small but not too small. We didn't end up using the shower when we stayed but it was all very clean. The cabin is a very short distance away from the centre. It took us around 5-10 minutes to get to the centre. Very close to the Roman Baths and Abbey. I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing to stay somewhere for the weekend. Sonia is lovely and responded quickly to my messages and was a star at sorting the parking out for us. Very approachable!

The room is a large light, airy and stylish. It has a super king sized bed that can be turned into two singles if required. The bathroom is shared, but newly renovated with a roll top bath and shower. The house is only seven minutes from the train station, and the centre of Bath. The canal is literally two minutes away leading to the most beautiful countryside. There is fantastic pub serving amazing food with a lovely garden 2 minutes away with convenience shops right nearby.
Bath is filled with wonderful things to do and visit, the Thermae Spa, Roman Baths, Royal Crescent and Circus to name a few. The shopping is great with many independent stores, there is also a fantastic theatre and a countless restaurants to take your pick from. There is tea and coffee available in the room and I will provide fresh milk when ever needed.
  • We had a great time in Cathy's house. The room is spacious and decorated in style, the location is very convenient for the centre of Bath (we also took advantage of the Thermae spa). There is a wide selection of teas in the room, which we very much appreciated. We also loved the thoughtful touch of various cosmetics available to guests, and a box of local tips. We only stayed for one night this time, but we'd love to come back.

    Kasia & Pawel2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cathy’s place is what I call a genuine airbnb: a room in a local’s house. It’s so conveniently located, 10 min from the train station, 12 min from the town centre, close to pubs and cafes. Even though it’s on the main road, we found the place quiet and didn’t notice the sound of cars, maybe because we stayed for the weekend. The room is big, the bed is extremely comfortable and Cathy left us tea, coffee, and amenities. She is also extremely friendly and lent us some plates and cutlery when we wanted to have a small bite in instead of going out for dinner. I’d def stay in her place again if I get to visit Bath soon.

  • We only stayed for one night this time, but we had a great time in Cathy's house. The room is spacious and the location is very convenient for the centre of Bath. We also loved the thoughtful touch of local tips and the lend of a hairdryer. Great communicator too.

  • One of the best value stays we’ve ever had on Airbnb. A lovely, stylish and spacious room in a great location near the city centre. Cathy is a wonderful host, very attentive, helpful and quick to respond to any queries. She has though of so many little touches from the toiletry selection to the tea and coffee facilities. If you’re in Bath for a night or two look no further. A really enjoyable stay.

    Alex2019-04-07T00:00:00Z
  • We would highly recommend Cathy's place. It is perfectly located, a short walk along a pretty canal into town, with easy parking nearby. The room is very spacious, light and beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and fresh, crisp bedlinen. There was a choice of teas, coffee, biscuits and a jug of lemon water. Cathy was very welcoming and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

    Emma2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful place to stay! The room is huge and beautifully decorated, with lots of lovely thoughtful extras (baskets of gorgeous toiletries included!). The location could not be better, less than a ten minute walk from Bath Abbey and five minutes to the train station. Cathy is a fantastic host. Highly recommended.

This modern one bedroom apartment is on the second floor( no lift )of a listed building. Conveniently located a few minutes walk from the train station. The apartment has grocery stores and restaurants nearby. Walking distance to the Roman baths and Abbey is 10 minutes.
This apartment has one bedroom with a double bed. The lounge / kitchen has utensils, microwave and coffee machine. Wifi and Movie channel. Only catch up tv and Netflix available as I don't have live TV. This is one of few properties in Bath ( only one on Airbnb) that has views of River Avon and the (URL HIDDEN) is located on the bend of the river where the canal meets. If you're lucky, you'd see swans on the river and barges on the canal!
The apartment has a great location. It is so close to all the tourist attractions and yet the road that is set on is reminiscent of village high street. It is a few minutes from the buzzing city centre and yet the tranquil River Avon and the canal is a stone's throw away.
  • Lovely apartment for the weekend. Modern and clean. Didn’t find noise to be a problem at all. Short walk into town which was great for the Christmas market as well as the other offerings in the centre.

  • This flat is well decorated and in a great location, only a few minutes walk from town and was a lovely flat to stay in. Considering its central location it wasn't to noisy and had everything we needed for a lovely weekend in bath. Really impressed with my first Airbnb experience would definitely stay here again.

    Nichola2017-10-15T00:00:00Z

    Bernie2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Linda’s apartment was great for our stay. It was very centrally located to all of Bath, she responded very quickly to our needs, and the apartment is well decorated, appropriate for its setting. Perhaps most important, we have been traveling for two weeks around Europe now, and the pillows have been the most comfortable we’ve slept on. So essential for a good night’s rest. Definitely recommend.

Welcome to my beautiful flat in Bath. In a much sought after area in the city with the train and bus station just a few mins walk away. This is a typical Georgian apartment on the 2nd floor. There is a free parking bay just 2 mins walk from the flat. It is well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Right on the doorstep are many independent restaurants and cafes and a level walk to the famous Thermae Spa and Roman baths. Perfect for a romantic weekend or shopping trip.
The apartment is small but perfectly formed and decorated to a high standard -the bed is sumptuous and the living area very comfortable, there is a sofa bed (click clack style not pull out) in the living room which is suitable for one person it is not huge and wouldn't suit someone over 6ft tall. There is a TV with Freeview channels and unlimited WIFI.
Widcombe is a special area most known for it's independent artisan cafes and bars. You will find tapas, chinese, indian and pub food right on your doorstep. It's also home to an Aga shop, dress boutique and 2 art shops as well as a small supermarket. You won't need your car here, everything is within walking distance. Widcombe also has the advantage of being right near the canal so in the summer time you can watch the colourful boats negotiate their way through Widcombe lock. This flat is ideal for anyone visiting this beautiful city, or going to the University or coming to watch a Bath rugby game. Read the reviews to hear what others guests have to say!
  • My husband and I loved Nicola’s flat. She was a responsive and helpful host and her flat was very clean, modern, and stylish. In addition to that, the location of the air bnb was our favorite. You can see the train station out the window from the flat (its so accessible) and the shop owners beneath the flat were extremely welcoming, friendly, and fun. We loved our stay.

    Matilda Vojak2018-09-12T00:00:00Z
  • Myself and my partner stayed at Nicola’s flat for our first weekend away in Bath. The flat itself really was lovely and exactly what we wanted for our stay. Nicola kept the flat very clean and it felt like a second home to us, especially with the little touches from the sweet jars to the everyday useful foods in the cupboards. We had everything we needed. Nicola was on hand for anything we needed (especially as we got a little lost with the parking, she was only a phonecall away). The flat was in a brilliant location being just 10-15 minute walk into the city centre, which was ideal for everything that we wanted to see as well as being so close to the restaurants and pubs. We couldn’t fault our stay with Nicola and would love to go back in the future.

A unique guest cottage located in a tranquil garden in Central Bath with private access. It's finished to a high spec and has both en-suite bathroom and well equipped kitchenette as well as high-speed broadband, high quality bed linen, desk and ample clothes storage. There is off street car parking included. We are based in central Bath with the Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and the city centre only a 10 minutes walk away. Please note that it is steps only access to the property.
I'm very flexible on check in and check out times when possible. If you'd like to park your car earlier than check in time so that you don't have to find parking in Bath do always ask. I'll try to accommodate wherever possible. The Hideaway is always made up with two single beds with single bed linen. However, the beds can be clipped together by guests to form a double bed if required. Please note that there is STEPS ONLY access from the driveway to the property itself. There are about 30 in total and there is a handrail. There is a well stocked supermarket (Tesco Express) just one minute's walk from the property. Any other questions please just let us know.
We are located at the bottom of Bathwick Hill which is a friendly, safe and picturesque street in Bath with wonderful views of the city and the surrounding countryside. We are very central with the centre of Bath only a 10 minute walk away.

  • We had a most comfortable stay in the Hideaway. It is very well situated for Bath centre with a gorgeous walk into the city along Great Pulteney Street. Rebecca has thought of everything. A small kitchenette with good equipment and microwave. Therefore it is easy to prepare breakfast and a ready meal can be heated up. Milk in fridge on arrival. Best of all really comfy beds! Sparkling clean and good bathroom. Beautiful garden with plenty of seating. It is important to note that it situated at the bottom of a steep garden with access down steep steps so you need to be fit and agile!

  • A nice, convenient hidden gem of a place in central Bath. The location was great and very walkable for us. The beds were very comfortable.

  • Rebecca is a lovely, considerate and helpful host. The hideaway was very comfortable, cosy, clean and we had everything we needed. Amazing location, it only took us 5 minutes to walk to Bath city centre and 10 minutes to walk to the spa. I would definitely recommend the Hideaway and we loved it so much that will be returning.

A rare find! Our little Georgian townhouse with a modern twist. The entire 3 storey property on the doorstep of the city centre all to yourself (plus a small parking space - please see below) and private garden . No need for buses or taxis. Approx. 5-10 mins flat walk to the heart of Bath, with renowned eateries, a micro gin distillery, lovely cafés, relaxing canal walks within minutes. Train station 5 mins (ish) walk. Bath is beautiful and we're very happy to help you enjoy your stay!
The House: Please read the whole listing before booking, especially regarding parking. Thank you! Our little townhouse is a beautiful blend of old and new. Set on three floors linked by a stunning spiral stone staircase you will have the whole building to yourself. Through your own front door and lobby you walk into the well equipped cottage style kitchen diner, perfect for those who like to cook and those who love to eat! The kitchen door takes you out to your private SW facing garden with outdoor seating. Up the spiral stairs you find the bright and airy sitting room equipped with generous corner sofa (which can be converted to a sofa bed. If you wish to sleep separately - please note there is an additional £10 charge for this to cover extra costs) plus TV with a Firestick so you can access Netflix, your shelf of books to browse and plenty of space just to relax. And finally to the top floor with a large bathroom and a romantic, comfortable bedroom. The bed, as befits the age of the house, has a charming cast iron bed frame and is a standard British double bed (4'6" x 6'3" or 137cm x 190cm). Sadly we cannot accommodate children under 16 at this time. PARKING - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING ON-SITE: We are lucky enough to have a small parking space behind our house. Please note: It is big enough for a VW Golf sized car or smaller - no exceptions (up to 4.5m long & 1.85m wide - can be easily checked on line). *** If the weather is very icy or snowy this space is not accessible so you would only be able to park off-site. OFF SITE: You can usually park for free all day every day on a road called Perrymead about a 10-15 minute walk from us (first come, first served and very popular). You can also park for free on single yellow lines after 7 pm and in parking bays all day Sundays and on Bank Holidays. Car parks: There are several car parks in Bath which offer day rates of between £12-15 per day. Southgate parking is near the train station so minutes from the house. Options readily available online. Location: On your doorstep you have an award winning gastro pub, a handy supermarket open 7 - 11 pm every day, gorgeous local cafes and a stunning canal which offers some amazing walks. For those gin lovers amongst you there is a fabulous local distillery where you can tour and taste the beautiful botanical gins. You're also just around the corner from both rugby grounds and cricket. We are sure you’ll love the fact that you live practically in the centre but still get the village vibe, the canal, a llama paddock and breathtaking countryside just up the road. Cleaning Charge? None! Unlike many others we don't charge a cleaning fee. Why? Because we have been Airbnb guests on many occasions and we are respectful of other people's spaces - we are sure you will be too. Don't Want to Share a Bed? No problem. Please note that if there are only two of you staying and you'd like two separate beds (i.e. one bed and one sofa bed) there will be an extra charge (£10) to cover the additional laundry (as we are sure you will understand). Please let us know at the time of booking. Thanks. Included: We want you to be able to have a cuppa or two when you arrive so there is always tea, coffee, sugar, milk, butter, jam, oil and vinegar, condiments and a jar of biscuits. In the bathroom you'll find body wash, shampoo, cotton wool pads and yes, there is a hairdryer!
  • Absolutely gorgeous townhouse, very thoughtful touches such as fresh bread, jam, biscuits and wine. Extremely comfortable environment, short walk from the town, would love to go back and stay!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed Mike and Jo’s townhouse! Cannot beat the location. Very clean place. We loved the special touches and there was tons of information on things to do and places to eat. Highly recommend it!

  • This is a gem of a little town house just a short walk from the centre of Bath. Jo and Mike have furnished it beautifully; it is both stylish and homely. And they are lovely people too - fantastic hosts, with swift, articulate and comprehensive communication, who went more than the extra mile to make things easy and seamless for us. Very special.

    Amanda2018-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was absolutely wonderful. Really good location, about a 10 minute walk to the main city attractions. Lots of restaurants near by. The house itself is so cosy. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Everything you may possibly need for your stay is available including shortbread biscuits :D Jo was very easy to contact before and during our stay. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to bath.

    Farrah2018-08-27T00:00:00Z
  • Jo and Mike really do go above and beyond. Their communication from even before booking is spot on and they cannot help you enough. The location is perfect, as is their home itself. It is spotlessly clean and has everything you could possibly need! Me and my now husband stayed here for the first of our mini moons and upon arrival, Jo greeted us with a card, cake, biscuits, bread and even a bottle of fizz which was a really lovely touch to our stay. Thanks again Jo and Mike xxxxx

    Lauren2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Our second visit here and as before absolutely does not disappoint. Beautiful house, perfect little touches that just make the stay all the more special, excellent communication and fantastic location - my absolute favourite Airbnb by far, can't wait to book another visit!

As pretty as a pearl nestled in a shell, this little one bed roomed period apartment has all you require for a refreshing city break for two. Furnished in cream and oak with dashes of colour, it is bright, charming and quiet with a parking space right outside where a delightful city awaits you.
The living room has a cream leather sofa and tub chair next to an original fireplace with Bath stone surround. It has a gas coal effect fire for cosy nights. There is a TV with DVD and the bookshelf carries a selection of novels and DVD's. A fold-out dining table seating up to 4 is by a large sash window. The neat galley style kitchen in cream and black fits a lot in. There is an electric hob and oven, a microwave, a small dishwasher, a small fridge with freezer and a combined washing machine and dryer. It is well equipped with plenty of kitchenware. The Bedroom is inviting with a cream 5 ft king sized bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and pretty decorative flourishes. There are French doors leading out onto a small graveled courtyard with a table and chairs to seat 4. The contemporary bathroom has a shower, wc and corner hand basin. There is a parking space allowing you to park 1 car. However, a car is certainly not required as the property is very central and only a 10 min walk to the Bath Spa train and bus stations.
This peaceful little apartment is tucked behind a main street in the city centre with lots of amenities close by. There is a Waitrose supermarket along the road and plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. Around the corner is 'Thai Basil' and 'Aqua Italian' Restaurants and the Tramshed. This wonderful Georgian city can be explored on foot and there are many fascinating historic sites, fine museums, inspiring galleries and gorgeous shops nearby. You can find great entertainment at the Theatre Royal, the Little Theatre Cinema or Komedia Comedy Club. Alternatively you could immerse yourselves in the hot bubbling mineral waters of the Thermae Spa and return feeling relaxed and invigorated.
  • Great little place. Snug and cosy - lovely gas fired “coal” range in sitting room which made afternoon lounging very cosy. Great location minutes away from town centre. Especially good as has own parking space off road. Clean tidy and nice little welcome pack. Would definitely recommend.

Comfortable and quiet, the main space is complemented by a tasteful kitchen/diner and a modern bathroom with shower.

Noya's Kitchen serves delicious Vietnamese lunches and evening supper clubs, bookable in advance.
  • The hosts were quick to make sure we were comfortable for our stay and provided clear and easy instructions on how to get to the apartment and around the town. They left some tips for local amenities which were a treat (We visited a few of them) and were always on hand if we needed anything. Highly recommend!

  • This is a great place if staying in Bath, Daniel was a fantastic host. The position couldn’t be better, so close to all the attractions Bath has to offer. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Daniel

    Leonie2019-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • We have just had the most wonderful weekend staying at Daniel & Noya’s apartment in Bath. The apartment is situated above their restaurant on the outskirts of Bath city centre meaning it was easy walking distance from the shops, restaurants and other local attractions. The apartment is warm, cosy and beautiful with everything you need available. The apartment is surprisingly quiet considering it is in quite a busy area and the restaurant downstairs didn’t impact on our stay other than the lovely smells is we came and went. We will definitely plan to return at some point and will make sure we book a table for dinner!

    Louise2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • This was a very comfortable apartment superbly situated in the centre of Bath. The welcome was lovely and Noya’s kitchen ( Vietnamese cooking at it’s best) situated on the ground floor was amazing for lunches and the high spot of our stay.

    Caroline2018-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Really great apartment in a very central location

    Miriam2018-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • Daniel and Noya's place is beautiful and within walking distance from everywhere. Make sure you eat at Noya's restaurant or supper club. Food was awesome!

    Carolyn2018-05-13T00:00:00Z
  • The location could not have been better! The space is roomy except for the shower. Noya’s restaurant is suburb!

Amazing self contained b&b right in the centre of Bath in the artisan quarter. Central and perfect for soaking up the city in the day or night. The rooms are stunning and the ensuite totally indulgent!
The space consists of a good sized living room equipped with a fridge, kettle and toaster. There is a dining table where you can enjoy breakfast at your leisure. There is also a sofa bed in this room so an extra guest can stay as long as they don't mind sharing the ensuite! I am a designer by trade (the flat is above my beautiful shop) so all the soft furnishings are handwoven downstairs and are of the highest quality. The bedroom is very large and again furnished beautifully with french linen sheets and antique furniture. The king size bed is very comfortable. The real wow however comes with the bathroom- featuring a beautiful fireplace and large power shower as well as a slipper bath for extra luxury! This is a whole level of our home so you won't be bothered by anyone at all (you even have your own entrance) although we are only upstairs if you have any problems! Breakfast items are left in your 'kitchen area', these include granola, a selection of breads for toast, jams and marmalades. If you have any special preferences just let us know before hand. Fresh coffee and a selection of teas are there for you so that you can eat and drink at your leisure. For a hearty breakfast we thoroughly recommend Sam's kitchen opposite! Walcot Street is filled with a vibrant selection of independent craft and curious shops; from reclaimed antiques and furniture to clothes, pottery and bicycles. It is a real creative melting pot where you can't help being inspired. Hunt for collectables in the treasure trove of independent shops on Walcot Street and London Street or look for a bargain at the flea market, held every Saturday.
Its has a village feel with great independent shops, cafes and restaurants in a great world heritage city
  • Great location and great hospitality

  • We felt very welcome from the first time we met Katherine, she is a very positive and helpful person which goes the extra mile to make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Her apartment is beautiful decorated, spacious and very clean. It's location is very central, with short walking distance to all of Bath sights, and only 10-15 minutes walking to the train/bus station, as well as 3 min walk to Waitrose and to the core of the city. I would truly recommend everyone who needs a place to stay in Bath, to stay at Katherine place. If we plan to go to Bath another time, I would definitely stay there again (we where 4 adults sleeping over for 2 nights).

  • We stayed during the Bath Festival and it was a perfect space for the three of us and in an ideal location, right by the centre. Katherine was a great host and made us feel welcome and relaxed.

    Anna2018-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is ideally located for walks into and around Bath, there are many bars and restaurants that are very close. We had everything that we need in the apartment and Katherine is a lovely host.

    Martin2017-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • The suite featured a very big living room, bedroom and bathroom. It was a short walk away from the Roman baths and other highlights of Bath's historical town centre. Katherine and Mike kept the flat well stocked with fresh items for a continental breakfast and clean flatware. As per the listing, there was a kettle for tea and toaster for bread but no other appliances for cooking/reheating food.

    Thomas2018-05-09T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine's place is a wonderful find in Bath's city centre. She is artistic and her self-contained flat reflects her artistic and design sense, which was lovely. She left plentiful foods for our breakfast including delicious cereals, fabulous grainy bread for toast, and the biggest selection of jams we'd ever seen! She gave us suggestions for dinners in the area, and even replied quickly when we'd left and consulted her about dinner possibilities in London. The communications, key pick up and drop offs couldn't have been easier. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Katherine's place.

Whilst for those fresh air fiends, the canal can be easily accessed for walks/runs/cycle to Bathampton (3 miles) & beyond. Bikes can be hired locally or you can bring your own & keep them in Georgian House's basement bike store (please bring your own lock). The canal is also a lovely way to walk to the Holburne Museum. Georgian House is an amalgamation of three Georgian townhouses & has retained its grand feature staircase from its hotel past. Whilst walking up the wide, shallow steps is different from your usual Georgian building, this apartment is on the 3rd floor so isn't suitable for those who would find it hard getting to the top. Car parking Public transport is the best way to visit Bath. If however you need to bring your car, a long stay car park (£12.50 a day) is 2 minutes away.
  • Rachel made the whole booking and arrival process so easy. The apartment is easy walking distance to the centre of Bath and boasts wonderful views over the cricket ground and river Avon. It really is s home from home and had all the amenities you could ever need. I will certainly be recommending this to friends and family, we had a wonderful few days enjoying the whole Bath Christmas market experience.

  • This place was absolutely fantastic. The photos were accurate and the location couldn't be better! Rachel was extremely helpful and very quick at responding. It was also a lovely surprise to arrive to a Christmas tree and the place so nicely decorated for Christmas!

  • After a very long flight from Sydney it was a pleasure to enter Rachel's lovely apartment. The kids felt at home right away and particularly loved the board games and books. Rachel has thought of everything to make her guests stay a pleasant one. She allowed us to check in early which helped us considerably after our long flight. I will recommend Rachel's Place to anyone heading to Bath, it is really in the best location! Laura

  • Beautiful, spacious and quiet apartment, perfectly located near downtown. Short walk to a couple parks as well as shops and restaurants. Our only regret is not having more time in Bath...

It comes with a super kingsize bed, double sofa bed ( 4ft ), dining area, fully equipped kitchen, large bathroom, private entrance, courtyard garden and private parking. Centrally located.
Recently renovated, this stunning Georgian apartment offers comfort and plenty of character. A real romantic get away or equally a great place for the family to visit. The space has a large double bed and sofa bed in the same room. Finished to the highest of standards. Light, spacious and airy. Private entrance and courtyard garden.
This area has so much to offer, all tourist attractions are local but equally some hidden gems to be found in Bath. Fantastic restaurants, bars, cafes and history. Great Pulteney Street is one of the most stunning Streets in Bath.
  • Great place and very central!

    Devin2017-06-14T00:00:00Z
  • Very close to the city, very clean and well appointed. A real home from home. Loved the excellent choice of coffee, breakfast is handy, and because it’s so central and comfortable the Deliveroo option was helpful for us due to delays in our journey leaving home. We hope to visit Bath again next year - this would be our preferred choice of location to stay. We appreciated John stopping by to check we were okay.

    Sarah2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic apartment which is stylishly decorated & spacious. Much nicer than staying in a hotel. Location is central so very close to shops & restaurants. John was a great host - he was there to meet us promptly & responded immediately to a query we had. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others.

  • Lovely cosy flat in an excellent location.

    Haakon2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • If you are a couple and need a place to stay in Bath then look no further. The apartment is amazing, it's old Georgian but has been totally modernised so you get the historical feeling with out the historical infrastructure. The location is within walking distance of every place you will want to visit and if yr a fan of the movie 'the duchess' her summer residence is at the end of the street.. John & his wife looked after us completely.. another great example of why Airbnb is better than a hotel..

    Fraser2017-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place with everything you need. Excellent location with lots of restaurants within a couple of minutes walk. The apartment is very spacious and the bed is huge and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend!

  • This is the second time we have stayed at John's apartment and it was once again a total pleasure and thoroughly enjoyable. He really pays attention to detail - and the decor, location, comfort and food all add up to a superb experience. 20/10 again .... Thanks John

  • The staff was great and really nice! Also, the location is great, since it is very close to the city centre, the stations and all main attractions could be reached by walking. However, one should be aware of the fact that it is EXTREMELY LOUD on the weekends. The house is pretty old and one could hear the lyrics of the music played downstairs (I stayed in the 12 bed room).

Somerset Stays are pleased to present this beautifully present studio in a great part of Bath (short stroll from Pulteney Bridge). Within the studio you’ll find an en-suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, comfy bed, tv, desk and wardrobe. Free WiFi is also comes with the room. The building is situated along the river and you’ll over look beautiful Bath buildings on a quiet street, our windows are doubled glazed so you won’t hear any outside noise. We’re central enough so you can walk!
You’ll get access to the entire studio, the building is secure and the entrance is on St John’s Road (BA2)
The building is the converted Sea Cadets club house and has been developed to a high standard, the surrounding houses are built in typical Bath Stone, charming in character and just a wonderful street to walk along.
  • We booked to stay in a double bed room. When we arrived the keys for our room weren't in the key safe, so they suggested to use another room instead. Upon inspection the room had already been in use and had not been cleaned. The bed wasn't made and had dirty sheets, the bin was full, and there were hairs left in the bathroom. There were no other vacant spaces so we decided to vacate. This is the worst Airbnb experience I've had, wouldn't recommend at all.

  • Location was 10 out of 10! So close to both the train station and the city centre. Apartment was perfect for a couple for a weekend. Very clean and well appointed. Dan was a helpful host, replying very quickly to emails and made access to the apartment a breeze! It is a little noisy at night being on a busy road but earplugs were left if this is an issue for you. The bottle of wine in the fridge was a perfect treat for us arriving late on a Friday evening! Highly recommend this flat for those looking for a weekend in Bath.

  • Arrival at the property was very easy (7min walk from Bath Spa station). Such an excellent location with lovely views. We were met by Marcus who made us feel at home, showing us around and giving plenty of hints and tips to ensure our stay was a memorable one. The apartment was very clean and maintained (also brand new). It’s the perfect size with all the important amenities (Bluetooth speaker, coffee percolator!). Wonderful shower, comfortable bed and a welcome hamper which was such a lovely touch! There was a guide in the property to all the best local places which we utilised and the locals were super friendly. For fans of craft beer, the entrance to the apartment is besides a craft beer shop, with one of the widest selection of top notch beers I’ve ever seen and a few draught lines as well. Another huge plus for Alexa’s place was how quiet the property was, despite its amazing central location, the property was refreshingly quiet throughout our stay. Thank you for ensuring our first visit was a perfect one. We can’t wait to come back!

  • Great location in all aspects: shopping, restaurants, supermarkets, cafes. Fast and effective response on some minor aspects that needed to be fixed. Much appreciated welcome details in the refrigerator, coffee and tea. Please mind the steep and narrow final flight of stairs that could be demanding for some people. All in all, it's been a pleasant stay.

    Chloe2019-04-22T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed staying at this apartment in Bath. The check in procedure was very smooth, I was met by Laine who was very hospitable and so welcoming. She showed me around and explained all the necessary details I needed to know about the apartment. There was a lovely welcome pack, with muesli, chocolate, biscuits, tea, coffee and a bottle of wine in the fridge, which was most appreciated. The apartment is beautifully decorated, the bedroom was very quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. I really liked the beautiful prints of Bath in the bedroom, there was also a beautiful dressing table, and more than enough storage space. The living room had beautiful china, and exquisite antiques, making the place very elegant while also homely at the same time. I enjoyed having dinner at the wonderful dining table, with the very chic leather coasters and placements. The bathroom is very chic with a fantastic shower which has various setting, from regular to rainfall and others in between. The kitchen was very well equipped, and I really enjoyed cooking there. I also enjoyed having breakfast at the breakfast bar. The apartment is in a beautiful area of Bath, it is very central and only a few minutes’ walk along the stunning Great Pulteney Street with its fantastic architecture to the main shops in Bath. Everything has been well thought out in this beautiful apartment, there is also a folder with lots of recommendations for places to eat, with a detailed write up on each one. If you are ever planning on visiting Bath then I would certainly recommend that you stay at Alexa’s place.

  • This is a lovely suite situated under Sarah and Tim’s home!! They were the most thoughtful hosts and left (what I presume were homemade) pancakes and other breakfast items. There were plenty of dishes and a microwave to prepare our dinner on our own as well. The bathroom was spacious and very clean, and the beds were very very comfortable!! Easy walking distance from anything in the city you might want to see. One walking route up Lyncombe Hill is quite steep, however, so if you have any trouble walking up hills re-route through Prior Park Rd!

    Dorothy2018-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This room was really comfortable for our family, who were visiting for a few nights. The location is peaceful, yet within walking distance of Bath city centre and the train station. Having a parking space and a garden was also great - I would highly recommend this accommodation for anyone looking to stay in the area.

    Charlotte2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Room is as shown. Equipped with plates and cutleries and a microwave. Basic breakfast provided. Sarah gave clear instructions for self check-in. The only thing we faced is slight difficulty in finding the place as there was another private road right next to the place and we weren't sure which to turn to. Other than that all was good.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jane & Marks' lovely home in Bath. Our hosts were warm, friendly and extremely accommodating, They contacted us to arrange transportation on our arrival and Mark was there to pick us up at the bus station when we arrived. The rooms were light, airy and comfortable, as pictured. The property, situated in a quiet, pretty neighbourhood, backed right onto the walking trail to Bath city centre which was just a few minutes walk away. Breakfasts were delicious, just what we wanted; with fresh fruit, hot croissants and all the other makings of a continental breakfast. We celebrated a birthday while staying here and were so touched and thrilled that they even baked a lovely cake for the birthday girl! These are memories that make for a wonderful vacation, thank you!

  • I had a lovely stay at Jane and Mark's home. I was in Bath on my own for a work trip and I felt like I could come and go as I pleased. My days were long so I didn't get to spend much time at the house but made enough time to soak up the breathtaking view over the city. The bed was extremely comfortable and the spacious bathroom was a real joy. It was a bonus to walk down the hill into town of a morning with a full stomach thanks to Jane and Mark's breakfast that was kindly laid out each morning.
