A beautiful, cosy apartment, tucked away in the heart of the Old Town area of Hull. On the historic fish trail and right next to England's smallest window and the beautifully named Land of Green Ginger. It is a short stroll to the theatre (5 minutes to the New Theatre and 10 to Hull Truck). The vibrant Fruit Market area is right nearby as is the Marina. Perfect for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.
Introduction / The Apartment The apartment is located in the heart of Hull's historic Old Town surrounded by cobbled lanes, listed buildings and the old warehouses of the river Hull. As you approach the apartment you walk over the long body of the oarfish and the wriggly legs of the squid (part of the historic fish trail). The apartment building (Cogan Chambers) was built in 1869 and is tucked away, off the street, where Exchange Court and Exchange Alley meet. Names that evoke thoughts of an era of smugglers and traders exchanging goods and spices. There are lovely bars and restaurants close by, the nearest of which is just a few metres away, Ye Olde White Hart pub. This pub was built around 1550 and is home to the plotting parlour, said to be the location from which Guy Fawkes plotted to blow up parliament. It’s a beautiful place to sit and have a few drinks in summer (flower filled beer garden) and even better in winter sat by the enormous fireplace. Whether you are coming for a holiday, a romantic trip, to see family or to work, you will find everything you need within the apartment and within the Old Town quarter. The apartment has free broadband / Wi-Fi if you need to catch up on e-mail, shop, work or research. The furniture throughout the apartment is a blend of modern, pre-loved and antique. The apartment is secure, warm and perfect for resting, relaxing or as a base from which to explore. There is a welcome pack which covers the basics of where to eat, drink and get supplies, and should answer any questions you have about the apartment. The building has its own little laundry room with a commercial washing machine and drier which are perfect for washing big loads and they do this quickly and efficiently. The washing machine is £1 per use and the drier is 40 pence. Living Area The apartment receives light from 2 very beautiful, tall, sash windows. The windows and high ceilings are a reminder of the building’s Victorian heritage. The original chimney breast brickwork is exposed and creates a warm feeling. There are two low hanging pendant lights providing light to all areas of the apartment and giving a sense of the height. The living area is large and open with good, natural light and the entire apartment has recently been re-painted and is clean, fresh and elegant. The apartment has wonderful underfloor heating which keeps your feet, and the apartment, nice and warm during the colder months. There is a wall mounted LCD TV with freeview if you want to relax and watch TV. Kitchen The kitchen and living room are open plan so you can cook for yourself, or other guests, and entertain at the same time if you want to. We try to keep the basic supplies in to make your arrival comfortable and to avoid you having to rush straight out. Eggs, milk, butter, bread and plenty of other bits and pieces. If you need something specific then please ask. There is a built in fan assisted oven and hob as well as a microwave, kettle and toaster. The cupboards are full of cooking utensils and pots and pans. There is a fridge with freezer compartment. Mezzanine Bedroom Ladder access takes you up to the bedroom (this may not be suitable if you have any mobility issues but there is a bed downstairs, too). As you climb the stairs you will see an inviting double bed and cosy sleeping/chilling area. All of the bedding (duvet, pillows, throws, cushions) and towels are provided for you. The bedding is Egyptian cotton, as are the towels. Spare towels are provided too if you're staying a while. The bed has everything you need to get comfy. 4 very good quality pillows, a cotton throw, cotton cushions of different sizes and a duvet – of course. There's a lovely industrial style lamp and an LCD TV to help get you feeling cosy. There’s a long rail by the bed, with good quality, wooden hangers for your clothes. Bathroom There is a beautiful little bathroom just along from the chimney breast and by the stairs. The shower is enclosed with a modern electric shower. There is a towel heater so you can pick up a nice warm towel as you get out and it also adds warmth to the room if needed. The bathroom is sympathetically designed to reflect the era of the building with beautiful Victorian taps and floor tiles. You should usually find shower gel, shampoo, hand wash and a fresh toilet roll. There is a shaving light with a plug for a shaver and electric toothbrush. Parking The apartment doesn’t have an allocated parking space and street parking is expensive during the day (free during evenings and overnight). The apartment is a 10 minute walk from the train station and you can park a car at the train station for about £5 per day or about £25 per week. There is a multi-storey carpark just around the corner by the King William statue which is much nearer (2 minutes) and you should be able to get a good weekly rate. There are some free parking areas just outside of the city centre but security and distances vary but please get in touch if you need more information. Area It's a short walk to Hull New Theatre (about 8 minutes). Hull Truck is a little further (about 12 minutes). You are also near to The Deep aquarium which is a 5 minute walk, as is the Museum Quarter. You are already on the Fish Trail (next to the squid and the oarfish). Best of all you already in Hull’s historic Old Town quarter and just a 5 minute stroll to the Marina area and the bohemian Fruit Market area (Hull’s answer to New York’s Lower East Side….seriously). They offer a vibrant and cultural eating and drinking experience. Everything you need is nearby and just a short stroll away including a food market, indoor market, cinema, shopping malls, bars, post office and many restaurants. Transport Links You are a 5 minute drive from the North Sea ferry terminal connecting you to mainland Europe. A 12 minute walk to the Hull Interchange connects you to the rest of the UK by train or bus. You are a 30 minute drive from Humberside airport and a 10 minute drive to the M62. Local taxi companies can pick you up from outside the building or there are a number of taxi ranks nearby too.

The apartment includes: Entrance Hall with umbrellas Bathroom with walk-in shower, washstand, separate toilet and underfloor heating. Towels and toiletries are provided. Living Room with 42" television (free Netflix) and a large dining table that doubles as an ideal work desk having a table lamp and four electrical sockets a standard cord length away. There are two sofas, one of which opens out into a pretty decent double bed. Kitchen area open to the Living Room with oven, induction hob, extraction hood, washing machine, fridge, filter kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine. Tea, coffee and bottled still and sparkling water are provided throughout your stay. We believe that the most important thing we can offer is a good night's sleep. A fantastic spacious room with separate lounge area with sofa, there is a lounger chair, wall mounted plasma TV, wall mounted living fire it also host a dining area with table and chairs, work station, fridge, microwave, tea coffee making facility and a separate door leading to the bedroom which hosts a double bed,has another wall mounted TV, then a small en suite with shower cubicle, free WiFi.
We are ideally located for all of Hull's main attractions. The city centre and Hull's old town area are a short walk away. The old town includes the marina area and museum district if you are looking for a bit of culture - and don't forget entry to most attractions is free.

The Area The apartment is centrally located, a few minutes walk from the railway station, bus station, shopping area, Old Town, Museum Quarter and Marina. It is a seven minute walk to the Tesco Extra in St Stephens Shopping Centre. It is also close to the entertainment venues; the New Theatre, the Hull Truck Theatre, the City Hall and the new Bonus Arena which has made it a popular place to stay for people involved with productions at those venues. Although the apartment is in the city centre it is much quieter at night than some of the other central locations. The Building The apartment is on the second floor of a new building. There is a lift and an intercom to remotely open the main gate and door to the foyer from the apartment. Car Parking The apartment has a designated parking spot in the secure car park. There is a fob to open the main electronic gate.The parking permit which will be provided at check in must be displayed at all times as the area is monitored. For those guests with a second car there is ample on street parking which is free between 6.00pm and 8,30am. Daytime parking on the street is limited to two hours but there is close by parking in a building in Pryme St or a public car park in Albion St for longer term stays. The Apartment The space consists of an entrance hall, an open plan kitchen/dining/living area, and two bedrooms - one with and en suite. It has has gas central heating and double glazing. The apartment is light and airy as it has two large windows facing the outside. The kitchen/dining area is fully equipped ; electric hob and oven, fridge, freezer, microwave and dishwasher.. There is everything you will need by way of cooking equipment cutlery, crockery, glassware and kitchen utensils. The dining table extends to seat six. There is a washing machine, iron and ironing board, and clothes drying rack. The spacious living area contains a two seater sofa, a two seater sofa bed and two tub armchairs. There is free wifi, a 40 inch smart TV and a digital radio/CD player. The main bathroom has a bath with a glass shower screen, the en-suite off the main bedroom has a shower as well as the WC and hand basin. A hair dryer is also supplied. The main bedroom has a king size bed and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The second bedroom has a small double bed and also ample wardrobe space. The sofa bed in the living room is fairly small but can fit two people if they are on friendly terms. All bed linen, towels, shower soap and cleaning materials are supplied. Our normal practice for four guests would be to prepare the Kingsize bed and small double bed in the two bedrooms, however please contact us prior to your arrival if you wish to have use of the sofa bed instead.

The white Hart pub is now open after a recent refurb serving finest drinks.No FOOD IS AVAILABLE AT THE MOMENT. Bar has SKY AND BT SPORTS.

The White Hart is a room only Accomodation. We are located in the Old Town area of Hull, with a Tudor style exterior. The local town centre offers shops and sigh seeing tours for visitors and locals. It is a historic town and city.
