What you'll do
We'll start in one of the old New York bars which was a speakeasy during Prohibition. We'll talk Prohibition, brilliant writers and many other New York stories. We'll take a walk along the path not usually visited by tourists where we might see a private park, facades of private clubs, and monuments with fascinating secrets. We'll get to a vantage point from which we'll be able to see some of New York's most exciting buildings. I’ll share some of my favorite New York tales filled with daring, ambition, movie characters, love, murder, Prohibition, and ladies' skirts. This is a small group experience. I'd like to make sure you don't feel like a tourist on a tour, but more like a local enjoying the atmosphere, drinks, the walk and, of course, the conversation. As a bonus, I'll leave you with recommendations on the city's best speakeasies where a perfect cocktail meets NYC history!
I love New York, with its inexhaustible energy and fascinating history, as well as meeting new people and introducing them to the greatest city on earth. I’m an amateur historian, an avid storyteller, and a licensed New York City tour guide. I'd like to share my passion for culture and history of New York with you. It's especially fun when it's done over a drink! The places I'll be taking you to over the years became a fabric of my life. These are the spots beloved by locals where after a while you become a familiar face and I am such a face!
I'll provide New York City maps.
