About your host

My passion for Mexican food and Mexican culture, combined with my experience as a tour guide for the past five years, makes me want to show you my culture and my city. For me, traveling as a local with a local person is one of the best ways to deeply understand a culture. I love to travel and taste different things, and I love to show people how amazing, fun, and interesting Mexico is.

Where you'll be

We'll meet at the Templo Mayor museum entrance and go to the markets, which are 80 years old or more, and where the locals get their vegetables and fruit. We'll take the subway as it's easier, faster, and cheaper. We'll learn about pre-Hispanic cuisine, including the tasty "chapulines"—grasshoppers.
